Is it me or Kickboxing is just the best

I tried more weights and then more cardio and circuit workouts such as Drill Max, and Butts & Guts / Leg and Glutes for my legs but only since I started Kickboxing, 3 weeks ago, only once a week because it kills me that I am seeing results. After only 3 workouts. I am chocked. So I bought Kickmax, since I only have KPC and Kickboxing from 4 days split. This weekend i will try Kickmax.

Is it because it's new to my body? I am really chocked. My abs are FINALLY kind of showing and my arms are less puffy and my legs are slightly smaller.

Anyone else experienced that? I wonder if it's kickboxing or a different workout.

I remember 2 years ago I got super toned with circuits workouts and I was just not seeing the same effects anymore. I use to hate kickboxing, now I am addicted.
 
Kickboxing is my very favorite cardio! But I'm not having the same results as you, so it could be b/c it's new for you.

Do you have Cardio Kicks? I actually prefer it to Kick Max. KM is more drills than kickboxing.

Plus CK has some nice eye candy. ;)
 
I'm a kickbox fanatic, not only is it great for helping us get in shape, but it is a fantastic form of stress relief!!

I also love the fact there is limited cheoreography involved.

What I have discovered with kickbox is, the better your form, the better your workout, as opposed to trying to go at breakneck speed.

Cathe's Kickbox

I enjoy all of Cathe's KB workouts too... I usually do at least one per week. :) I add intensity to the workouts w/the weighted gloves and the ankle/wrist weights. Kickboxing is an enjoyable workout with great results! One of these days...... I think I'd like to get my own punching bag.... ;)

Me too! The first time I tried it, I felt silly punching the air. Now I get mean...grrrrr!:D
I love all of Cathe's kickboxing workouts. I just bought Cardio Kicks. I have no idea how I missed that one. It's a great workout!

I LOVE kickboxing!
There are times whe I have had to very intentionally keep myself from doing it every day.

I love the feeling of power and speed (after the first few months of learning form---not too powerful or fast at first!), the core work, the flexibilty I get from it.
 
I love Kickboxing too!! I almost always incorporate 1 kickboxing workout a week and hands down not only does it give me a good workout, but puts me in a great mood.

I would love for Cathe to do a KPC 2... that is my favorite of all her kickboxing workouts.

If you've not tried it, CTX has a kickboxing workout in the series that is pretty good too.. I actually prefer it to the 4DS Kickbox workout.

I can't wait till Cathe does her kickboxing series! I have been checking the forums a lot lately to see if that is still her goal now that STS is finished. :)

I've been waiting for the update on it that Cathe promised when I asked about it several months before STS was finished. She said that she'd give more info after STS was done.

I asked about this too and SNM said that they were not going to do this series. :( I really hope that this info is wrong. No one and I mean no one does kickboxing like Cathe. It is truly a full body workout!

That's VERY disappointing.:(
Guess I'll be going elsewhere for my cardio. :mad:

(Actually, Kelly Coffey-Meyer does really good kickboxing. Her "30 minutes to fitness" KB workout is my current favorite).

I almost gave this away. I'm going to spend some time learning it.
I just bought Illaria's Powerstrike and Bodystrike. I'm going to try them out tomorrow;)

I hate kickbox with a passion, but I love what it does for my body.

As much as I hate kickbox, it is a vital part of my athletic training.

I prefer the dancier moves and choreography, but that is just me.

There is not a doubt in my mind that kickbox keeps me looking toned.

So I hate it, but I love it (to quote Old Tony Horton)

You have got to be kiddiing. You mean to tell me Mixed Martial Arts is not going to happen?

I hate kickbox, but know how good it is for my body.

I really wanted a video with Cathe, Jai, and Lorrayne and perhaps a couple of men.

Perhaps we will at least get a new step and hi/low cardio workout DVD.

Funny you say that because I had decided to KB more often also. I was just recalling how toned my body got from Billy Blanks Taebo Advanced Video. I had been cardio/weights and it wasn't until I started the Taebo videos did I see any results. The funny thing is, that's all I did. At the time I had a control freak as a BF and he complained about me at the gym all the time. So to keep hearing his mouth, I started working out at home doing KB once a day and it transformed my whole body.

This post has been a confirmation for me to take up KB again.
 
I have to second (or third?) the recommendation for Kelly Coffey Meyer's 30 Minutes to Fitness Kickboxing. I had fun, the time moved quickly and I worked hard. I like Kelly because I work really hard and burn a lot of calories but I don't feel wrung out or overworked at the end. Her cuing style isn't my favorite, but after a few times through the workout, that was no longer an issue.

I've been eyeing Kelly's new kickboxing workout for a while now. I love her stepboxing workouts.

I've been wanting to get Powerstrike too.

DH is going to take my cc priviledges away..lol. :p
