Bender Ball

Anyone try this yet? I saw it on tv & wondered if it might be worth a try, particularly for the lower abs and support of the lower back. If anyone has it, I'd appreciate the input!

I use a child's ball and it works fine. They might cost next to nothing at Walmart.

Too funny! I was thinking of posting this same question the other day but then I googled them and looked for reviews and alot of people were having problem with getting multiple charges on their credit card. My girlfriend had this problem as well. I had asked her what she thought of the ball - she ordered it about 6 months ago and has yet to try it! Maybe I'll convince her to sell it to me!

I saw this infomercial this morning and I gotta say that if your original price was $19.95 for the ball and one DVD, and now you are trying to sell the ball and 3 DVD's for only $9.99, I would say that there are too many in the warehouse taking up space because they aren't all they are cracked up to be... I would agree with Janie, and get yourself an inexpensive ball from the store and try it... I have lower back pain so was a bit leary in the first place to try anything like it, but then again, for $10 and 3 dvd's you migh tlike it for a change of pace in the Ab's department! :) keep us posted if you do end up getting them!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I find that informerical really annoying. The first girl that talks REALLY gets on my nerves.

watch for extra charges. I ordered Crunchless Abs for my mother and the next month got another product (which i did not order) and was charged for it. After a few phone calls, they stopped sending more products. (btw-my mother was not impressed w/ the crunchless abs dvd). I say save your money and use a playground ball.

I almost got suckered into the Crunchless Abs informercial as well, but went to Amazon and found a few reviews, none of which were more than 2 stars. I'll save my money to buy another Cathe DVD when the time comes.

looked like an ouch to me

The idea of wedging a ball under my lower back and bending backwards does not appeal. I get all the ab work I need from Cathe and my yoga practice.

I have some of the Crunchless Abs workouts, and I really like them.
I wouldn't get the set, though, but rather order individual titles, as buying the set locks you into a subscription program (which you can cancel, but it takes some effort!). The cardio programs aren't really worth it for advanced exercisers, IMO, but some of the core workouts are very good.

I've seen the Bender Ball kit at Walmart (I think) for something like $9.95 (or $19.95? I didn't pay much attention). If you are interested in it, that might be the way to go. You can try it out, and if you don't like it, return it.

I loooooooove my abdominals......UGH. ;)
I was thinking the exact same thing...."Ah love my abdominalzzzz" Blech!

I also like the woman after Abdominalzzz Groupie who says her husband can't keep his hands off her. All I can think is that he must have just got out of prison. Based on that commercial I would not use that product if they gave it away.

I loooooooove my abdominalzzzzzzzzzzzzzz:p

LMAO! I hate that woman as well.

I was also wondering about this workout. The commercial (other then the woman loving her abs) is appealing to me. If it's at Wally World, I may give this a try.

Crunchless Abs looks pretty interesting too. That is another annoying commercial.

I just got a fit tip from someone that uses a rolled up towel under your back for the same effect. Bet ya, you have one of those around, and you can try it for free!:D

I bought the kit at Walmart (19.95). I do like the ball and feel that it gives a good workout. However, Leslie Bender drives me NUTS on the DVDs. She's always asking the other ladies, "Do you feel it?" and "I'm really feeling it now!". I'm a fan of letting the exercises speak for themselves so I do my own routine without the DVDs now. It's nice light to intermediate abs workout - certainly not as hard as Cathe's stability ball ab workouts.

Lisa, how long are the workouts on the DVD?

I just have the ones that came with the ball. The combined workout - upper, lower and obliques - is about 15 minutes. There is also an introduction and a strong back dvd which I haven't done. Based on what I have, I wouldn't spend money to buy any of the other workouts but make up my own instead.
