x-Vest vs. Cathe's vest

I bought the x-Vest some time ago, I like it, it is adjustable, 2-20 lbs. it is pretty comfortable but it is also very hot. I'm crazy and I'm a sucker for all things Cathe and now I really want her vest. Just curious (I know it is a long shot) if anybody purchased both and if so which one do they like better? Cathe's vest seems much more comfortable, I probably don't need it but I sure would like it :)

I own both:)
I agree, the x-vest is very hot. It's great for fall/winter, and I plan to use it for colder weather. My workout room is in my basement so the room is very cool in the winter months.

I love Cathe's vest! I find it less binding than the full vest. It's great for riding my elliptical, and weighted workouts. I'm happy I own both!

Thanks! That's all the convincing I needed, I'm ordering it now :) Her vest is not adjustable though, correct?

No, it's neither adjustable nor washable (except for spot cleaning).
From what I've heard, it is comfortable, and it is pretty!

I really like my Ironwear Coolvest. It IS cool, adjustable, and washable (which I need it to be, since I work up a heck of a sweat powerwalking).

I ordered mine online at walmart.com, you can get free shipping if you have it delivered to a local store and go pick it up.

Thanks for the info

I saw the Iron Wear vest after I bought mine, I was so mad, the Ironwear vest looks 1000 times better. I wish I would have done a little more researching...grrrrr!! I'm glad to know though that I'm not the only with two weight vests. I just love the look of Cathe's new vest.

I just got the Cathe vest and really like it. The problem is - and I don't think this would be exclusive to hers - is that 10 lbs on your shoulders is not so comfy. When I am finished, my shoulders and upper back are red from wearing it and my muscles back there are tight. I also think it would be more comfy to wear it with a shirt with sleeves but I get too hot. I definitely would now want more than 10 lbs for what I use it for. I wonder being tall makes it more uncomfy - I feel like it needs to ride lower. That is what it felt like the whole time I had it on.

About washing, since it gets soaked anyway from sweat, couldn't we hose it down?

I was also going to get a vest, but liked the 10 pound belt from Ironwear better. I sweat inhumanly :( and a vest I couldn't wash would be awful in a short time.

ironwear cool vest

HI,

I have the Ironwear cool vest (short) and I absolutely love it. It is comfortable, breathable, washable and adjustable. MY DH has the ironwear long vest and also loves it. Ironwear has them on sale now.
