Second Chance by Kathlene

After

My past lifestyle was not the healthiest. I was a smoker for over 30 years, afraid to quit because I knew I would gain weight as well as lose my “stress reliever”.

My husband convinced me to quit with him in October, 2008 and we were both successful, however, by Jan. 2009, I had gained over 30 lbs. I dug out an old fitness book written by Joyce Vedral and started to workout 5-6 days a week. I progressed to her DVD’s and although I did get somewhat toned, within a year I reached a plateau. Joyce’s workouts didn’t even make me sweat anymore. After some research, I found the Cathe website, reviewed several video clips and put them on my wishlist.

In Feb. 2010, I ordered Muscle Max, Core Max, Body Max II, Ab Circuits, Cardio Core Circuit along with Basic Step (included with my step) and began a rotation. I started to read the forum and began to log my progress with the workout manager. Since Feburary, I have lost 16 pounds and I am amazed with my results. My core strength, balance and endurance have steadily improved every week.

I feel empowered and strong. My stress just melts away after a hard workout. Cathe, thank you! Your advise has positively affected all areas of my life. Your enthusiasm for your profession is genuine and from the heart and boy is it contagious! I truly believe you have given me a great gift. Health studies are finding a connection to aging and exercise not just for the body but for a healthy mind as well. I recently read an article about Jack Lalanne, a fittness instructor from the 1950’s, who at 95 years has a sound mind and body and still exercises for 2 hours a day. I look forward to meeting you one day, hopefuly before my 95th. Your faithful Cathlete- Kathy
