Your Fave "Someone Ripped My Heart Out" Songs

allwildgirl

Cathlete
You know, the ones you listen to over and over again after a break-up or that even make you cry even when you're happily in love.

Here's one of my favourites:

Something I Can Never Have - Nine Inch Nails

I still recall
The taste of your tears
Echoing your voice
Just like the ringing in my ears
My favorite dreams of you
Still wash ashore
Scraping through my head
'Till I don't want to sleep anymore

Chorus:
You make this all go away
You make this all go away
I'm down to just one thing
And I'm starting to scare myself
You make this all go away
You make this all go away
I just want something
I just want something
I can never have

You always were the one
To show me how
Back then I couldn't do the things
That I can do now
This thing is slowly taking me apart
Grey would be the color
If I had a heart

Chorus

In this place
It seems like such a shame
Though it all looks different now,
I know it's still the same
Everywhere I look you're all I see
Just a fading *$%&ing reminder
Of who I used to be

Chorus

RE: Your Fave

Wouldn't this be anything by The Cure?

Aaah, where would we be if Robert Smith ever had a normal relationship? ;)

RE: Your Fave

"alone again, naturally" by gilbert o'sullivan just may have some of the saddest lyrics ever.

"so it goes" by billy joel

RE: Your Fave

Actually, Robert Smith has been with the same woman since he was 14 years old. I think they started going out when she was 13 and he was 14 and they've been together ever since.:)

RE: Your Fave

Yup. Her name is Mary. They got married in 1988.

If you read any interviews with him, he's really a very down to earth guy. He just looks like a freak;-)

RE: Your Fave

My Immortal - Evanescence

I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me

You used to captivate me
By your resonating life
Now I'm bound by the life you've left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
I've been alone all along

Gives me cold chills!!!

>weep uncontrollably.

I broke up with my boyfriend last night and was driving home and heard My Immortal on the radio. I cried the whole way home.

RE: Your Fave

ooohhh .. DITTO .. on My Immortal .. or ANY of the Evernescence songs! Amy Lee's voice always sends chills down my spine!!

RE: Your Fave

>Oh Jane:( I'm so sorry. Sending ((((hugs)))).

Thank you. I'm fine though. It was actually the confirmation that we were breaking up. Seriously I have cried more in the last 2 months than I have in the last 2 years. It just wasn't meant to be. I was wishing for more than he could give right now. I still care for him very much but he has lots of issues on his plate right now and he needs to work them out himself.

RE: Your Fave

I feel bad posting on this page, I don't know you Jane, but I am sorry that you are hurting.:(

Two songs come to mind, they remind me of my ex-hubby,aka "Lucifer."
And I do not mean that in a good way!!:(

"Miss You" and "Heaven" by the Rolling Stones. And one more...

"November Rain"-Guns and Roses. My only "affair" was with a personal trainer I had a long time ago. God I still feel like #### about that. It was over before it began really, you know the story. Oh dear, I am getting depressed, I need to go listen to some Celine Dion x( x( :7

>>Thank you but don't feel bad. I haven't been in a relationship for a really long time and I really learned so much about myself. You know the saying, the only person you meet in a relationship is yourself, is very true. It's just the letting go that is hard and what might have been. I know that he is hurting right now too and I think that hurts most of all because I didn't want to add to the things that he was already dealing with.

Thank you so much for your concern.

RE: Your Fave

Well, ((hugs)) anyway. :)

My favorite break up song is "She's Gone" by Hall & Oates. Youch - those lyrics!

On edit: Oh gosh, I forgot this one. I had lost custody of my daughter years ago (and since gotten her back, thank God!), and "You Are My Sunshine" would make me bawl.

RE: Your Fave

I am a definite sucker for those "Rip your heart" type of songs...

Here's my contributions:

"Its a Heartache" Bonny Tyler
"Two out of Three Ain't Bad" MeatLoaf
"At this Moment" Billy Vera and the Beaters ( I think)
"Wasted Time" The Eagles
"Famous Final Scene" Bob Seger

RE: Your Fave

OK,

I haven't heard "Wasted Time" by The Eagles in FOREVER what a good one.

Not a song but favorite "ripped your heart out movie"
About Last Night (1986). This shows my age but you get to see a young Rob Lowe (as if he doesn't look good now?!) and a pre plastic surgery Demi Moore.

I love at the end when he BEGS her to come back.
