These are FABULOUS!!! Thanks for sharing, Jane!!!!

I need some help with this one, though. It's the only one I didn't understand:
when you are the only person in town who knows what Quinine is used for besides treating malaria

??? little help?? LOL I'm afraid of what you might tell me...

He he, these jokes brought back nice memories from more then a decade of running. They are sooo true! Mari

Thanks for sharing. I think my favorite one is the one about the spouse telling you to go for a run because you're grumpy. LOL

I loved these too! I just did my first marathon on Jan. 15, the Houston Chevron, and have been recovering the past 3 weeks with short runs and walking. I went out today for an easy 6 miles and ended up doing 8 because it just felt so wonderful!
One thing that puzzled me was the beer station around mile 21 or so. I couldn't imagine anyone wanting a beer at that point. I had no idea it helped with the lactic acid buildup. I felt like such a dummy!

That is TOO funny!! It is scary how many times I said to myself as I was reading the list..."So true!"

Thanks for sharing!
Here's to runners and obsessive-compulsive behavior! HA

I have never heard the beer thing!!! That is weird!! How much are you supposed to drink? Wouldn't you run a much higher risk of having dehydration type problems by drinking beer?

LOVE the website! Very cute....but were those "jokes"??:D Looked like Thursday to me!!

Yeah, I saw beer at around mile 20 or so at my first marathon (Jan 8) and couldn't believe it! I saw it again at around mile 23 and the guy handing it out was yelling, "water that tastes like beer". Cracked me up!

My favorite was the chocolate kisses they handed out! YUM!
