yesterday when i said i would try imax 2 no one warned me! LOL. that was the hardest one so far. Is there a secret to the airborne jacks? will it just get easier as the weight comes off or is there something i need to do, like tighten my abs (which I dont have yet) My shirt was soaked and i was sweating like a pig. My youngest son kept saying "ma, you are sweating really bad!"

We did it on purpose. It's like an initiation;) JUST KIDDING!!!

Yes, all the Imaxes kick some serious butt. There is no secret to airborne jacks, but they DO get easier. I promise.

It's my theory that Cathe and crew actually have cybernetic legs, and that's how they're able to get so much air on those darn things!

If there is a secret to air-borne jacks, I haven't found it, LOL! I can do width or height, but not both at once. (I have a sneaking suspicion a bit more fast twitch muscle would be helpful!)

IMAX 2 is my very favorite Cathe workout and the air-borne jacks kick some serious butt!!! Now try IMAX 3. The plie jacks in IMAX 3 make the air-borne jacks in IMAX 2 seem like a walk in the park. At least in my opinion!:7

I did 1/2 of Imax2 yesterday and remembered when I couldn't do the airborne jacks or the plie jacks for that matter. I just did jumping jacks and plie squats and then started doing every other or a few and then modify and eventually was able to do them. It just takes some time.

Great job doing it!

Great work!! You said you wanted a warning? Then let me warn you that IMAX2 is generally considered to be the "easiest" of the three IMAX workouts.

Keep practicing those airborn jacks and you'll get better at them. A strong core definitely is required; as you improve that area, your form on many things will improve.

BTW, isn't the music in IMAX2 great?

Cheers,
Sandra

I think reckless abandon is needed to have success with the airjacks. In fact, I think of the "Friends" episode where Phoebe runs like a crazy person in Central Park--that's the attitude I use for the airjacks. Just jump up there flailing and give it your all, who care's if you only rose a centimeter above the ground (I say to myself).

In addition, I am certain that Cathe and crew use trampoline's that they edit out of the video. ;-)

Happy almost middle of the week! And while I'm still posting--this is totally unrelated, but damn those Dove milk chocolates! I have a pile of tin foil that I am going to shape into something--any suggestsions?
