I have been a yoga instructor for almost ten years. I love teaching but when I do it on my own I enjoy videos so much more than a class. I find it a lot more relaxing and enjoyable especially because I don't have a teacher pushing me. I can do what feels most comfortable for my body. I do recommend that you get a good sized mirror. This was absolutely invaluable for me. It felt like I was doing the poses correctly but the mirror told a different story. I believe my form improved a lot more quickly because of this. The videos I would recommend are Ali McGraw's yoga, Total Yoga, Yoga for Energy, Yoga for Balance, and Yoga for Weight Loss. Now I don't really believe that I am going to get any weight loss benefits from that one but it is still a really good workout. Hope this helps. Just keep that in mind when doing the workouts. Push yourself less if you do your yoga in the morning. Our muscles are a lot stiffer then. Take care, Cyndie
