Yoga DVD

I have been a Cathe user for quite a few years now. I was wondering (since I look for nothing but cathe's DVD's) if anyone could recommend a "really good" at home Yoga DVD.
Thanks.

It depends on what kind of yoga you like. I like power yoga. Bryan Kest has a great series of 3 workouts called Energize, Tone and Sweat. Also, if you look at videofitness.com, there are many people on that forum who are into yoga and you could look at the reviews there and see what you like.

i like bryan kest power yoga series. it has 3 workouts for all fitness levels and its a fast pace session but you hold some of the poses for strength and stretch. real good deal if you can find it under $17. also yoga shakti with shiva rea b/c it has several different yoga segments and you use the "yoga matrix" to put together your own routine or use the longer 4 premixed practices. i believe the price came down below $20 for this 2 dvd set(the second dvd has interviews, and extras about shiva rea and her practice of yoga).

for a different style of yoga, bodywisdommedia.com's yoga complete for everybody has over 50 different practices for fitness levels, length of practice, and purpose(like legs, focus on upper body, abs, stretch, meditation,so on). its not fast paced or flowy like th titles above but i lvoe to use it as more of a yoga stretch session. it has great practcies that really loosen things up after a long day or a tough workout. bodywisdom also carries yoga complete for athletes but this is mroe for stretngth. there is no sun salutation warm up but you hold poses for strength. i also didn't care for the instruction in this one. it doesn't seem as good as yoga for everybody.

I can't stand Brian Kest or whatever his name is. :p I love Rodney Yee's stuff, though!! His workouts tend to be either 20 min or 60-65 min so be careful if/when you order one!!

HTH,

I'm curious, too. I never do yoga and there are certain poses I would never try, but I am kind of interested in a beginners Yoga that focuses on stretching and breathing.

I love the Yoga Zone Series especially when I only want to fit in 20 min. of yoga. A few favorites are Total Body Conditioning for Beginners; Yoga For Abs For Beginners; Yoga Basics For Beginners and Evening Stress Release. They each have 2 20 min. segments. You might be able to find them at the library. That's how I found these. HTH!

I buy all my yoga dvds off Amazon.com - used - they are great source

I love Bryan Kest for strength - Energize/Tone/Sweat

and I love

Total yoga (Earth,Air,Fire) for stretching and a great well rounded intermediate workout.....

I love Rodney Yee for a quick energetic workout - his Power/Strength 20 mins are excellent addons to create energy/strength and flexibility before or after a workout......

Baron Baptiste sort of drives me nuts, but the workouts are good.
