Yeah, I earned my white sash and stripe

Hello all,

Yesterday, at boxing/martial arts class I finally earned my white sash and my first stripe for kickboxing. I was sooo happy and proud that I did a little dance afterwards. It's a very good jolt to the self-esteem when you are good enough to earn a stripe from your instructor.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was nervous taking classes at first because of the discipline aspect, but I find that I really enjoy martial arts. My teacher started taking classes when he was 6 years old and because of his young (and being low to the ground) he is fearless when it comes to falls and tackles.
