Hi everyone.

I wanted to announce that my son, Reece Patrick , was born on Oct. 11. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz and was 20 in long. The birth went beautifully (only in labor for 5 hours and three pushes and he was out!!).

Everything is going wonderfully. He is such a good baby (God owed me since my two daughters were screamers!!). Unfortunately I had to stop breast feeding because he got dehydrated and went a week without a bowel movement... scary. the same thing happened with my 2 girls. But he is doing great on formula, gaining and growing and happy so I can't complain.

I started back with my normal Cathe workouts this week and it feels great!! I had continued to do the PS series and Cathe step tapes with modifications during my pregnancy (did Rhythmic step the day before I had Reece!) but it feels great to add the intensity back into my routine! I can't wait for the new series. And thanks to all my Cathe workouts, I gained 28 lbs and now 2 and a half weeks postpartum I am only 8 lbs away from my prepregnancy weight. yeah!

I hope everyone is doing well and congratulations to all the newly pregnant.

Becky

PS I have an 8 year old son named Reece.

Hey Becky! Congratulations on Reece. I envy your delivery (I'm a c-section gal myself)! Enjoy having three beautiful children in your life and keep us posted!

RE: Congratulations!

Hi Becky,
Congratulations on your new son! Reece is a great name! I'm glad your labour wasn't too stressful - gives me hope as my bundle of joy is due in about 11 weeks time!
I take my hat off to you - 2 1/2 weeks post-partum and already back to Cathe workouts?!! Wow - that is brave! LOL!
Enjoy your new addition!

Today Is The Tomorrow We Worried About Yesterday And All Is Well.

Congratulations!

You sound so happy - I can't wait till my son arrives. Just 4 weeks to go now!

Congratulations Becky! I am happy you and Reese are doing well! And isn't is sweet of you to think of us and wish us well too? (me being one of the newly pregnants.)

I am very inspired to hear that you did Rhythmic Step the day before labor. Sounds like something I'd try! And to be back to more intensity at 2 1/2 weeks. Thanks for letting us know this may just be possible!

Continued best wishes... Gina

Congratulations and may I also say "WOW"--because I can't believe you are back to Cathe workouts so soon! You are an inspiration! I hope and pray that I will be like you and keep the weight gain below 30 pounds and then, after delivery, only have a few left to shed. However, this week seems to be a big weight gain period. Every time I step on the scale it seems a new pound has crept on. I don't know how--my calories have not been excessive in spite of indulging in a little Halloween candy already. I keep track of everything I eat on the computer and my calories have actually been slightly below my requirements and I have been very busy lately--moving around a lot and only sitting down for a short period at night to watch a little TV. I hope I am just retaining a little water because if the weight creeps on this fast I am doomed for the next 14 weeks.

Congratulations Becky!

Good for you - an active pregnancy, fast delivery and already doing full-intensity Cathe - with a happy baby to boot! Way to go!

Enjoy that little boy - I've got two girls and a boy (expecting my second boy in January) and I think you'll find your daughters will love him to bits.

Take care!
