Is today December 1st??

How was your holiday weekend? What's your plan for damage control (if you need one)?

(((Angie, Ryan, and girls -- we are thinking of you, be safe!!)))

Well it's official, I have a full-blown case of The Crud. I feel pretty good this morning, even without meds, so I am going to workout.

I was thinking seriously about doing FF's December rotation, but I changed my mind. Last week I ordered a kettlebell -- just wanna try it and see how I like it! So I am developing a rotation that combines GS and one day each week of KB. Also, at some point later this month I would really like to get it together and go my 1RM testing for STS.

Better get going, "see" you later............

TWO HOUR DELAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!

I am so excited! Lotsa more time to get Gina ready AND I don't have to wkae her up!
Added bonus:: When there's a delay, preschool is CANCELED!!! I didn't have anybody able to help me with driving Isabel to school so I would've had to do both ways and that would've seriously messed up Julia's napping. Now I don't have to drive anywhere!!!!
You can't possibly understand how ecited I am right now!

Katie, Good luck working out with the Crud! Feel better soon!

I'm feeling the need to clean up eating too.... Y'day I did as good as I could at our friends but I am on a salty/carby bloated hangover. I can't believe people eat like that on a regular basis. They served no fruit or veggies. I ate bare minimum so I wouldn't be absolutley starving but by the time we got home I WAS starving.... Eating clean today will put me back on track!

b - wheat chex, apple slices
l - bid ol' salad of some sort w/ protein and veggies
d - homemade chicken soup

not sure on snacks, depends when I get to workout.
not sure on workout, depends when I get to!:p

Hope everyone has a great day!!!

hi everyone

kate, how do you workout with both girls home if dh isn't around? i am just curious as i rely on nap time but may need to do something else sometime. good job with the control yesterday. you will be back on track today. you are always my clean eats motivator.

katie, sorry you are ill. are you going to work today? how is the rest of the fam feeling?

my day started off okay until i got on e mail - massive family problems, makes me feel so sad and sick. but, i am trying very hard to remember there is nothing i can do but be supportive and not add to anyones burden. i am trying lots of deep breathing today:) this am i did km standing leg work and b and g floor work. i will go to the gym and do bike or elliptical for an hour later. also will call neighbors about machine. i need something in my house! tomorrow is my recheck for the foot. absolutely no pain there, so i am thrilled. my back and hips, which are out of allignment, however, feel terrible.

eats WILL BE CLEAN!
b - egg whites, salsa, lowcarb pita
s - cottage cheese, fruit, nuts
l - soup and veggies, yougart
s - cheese string and fruit
d - brussel sprouts and protien of some sort

It's so nice to see some posting going on (by someone other than me!) in the early AM!

Kate, very exciting about the snow delay/cancellation. Good luck with the workout and eats.
Morris, I am so busy at work right now that I would go even if I was bleeding out of my eyes. I actually feel better today than I did yesterday. I hope you are able to get the elliptical for a decent price!!

Workout was Back & Biceps -- started out with GS warm up and Back, then did Biceps along with Cathe's latest YouTube clip. It was awesome, but I was NOT hitting failure like Cathe and the crew were. I definitely need to do 1RM tests!

Have a fabulous day, ladies!

:eek:Oops, Menu:

B cereal
S apple, 1/2 clif bar
L salad? tuna? not sure
S again, not sure
D leftover stuffed peppers

Morris, When Mike isn't home I wait until Julia is napping. The girls like to play on the smth machine and swing around on it!:p Normally I wouldn't let them, but, hey, a girls gotta sweat!:D You are too sweet but You are MY workout motivator! If you can sweat it out with a cast on your foot I can workout fo rsure! .....b'sprouts?!?!? never tried /em, but thye don't look so good! Question for you: Our dane has been throwing up A LOT! I don't notice him doing it in the daytime but almost every night he vomits (and MIKE has to get up to clean it!). If he's doing it in the daytime he does it outside because I never notice it. He vomited 3x last night. He also does this wierd shaky thing - when he's laying down he quivers a lot, esp. in his chest, like he's absolutley freezing. Any thoughts???? TIA!

Girls are up - better get b'fast going before Julia wakes up!

It's Christmas Time :D

Would you believe I'm still hearing about the fights that went on with my family:confused:. Unbelievable and we only had about 21 people so just imagine if everyone had came down.

Katie what's the name of the k-bell you ordered? full-blown case of The Crud??? What's that?
1RM tests...oh yes I did say that I would start that up again in December.

Kate I understand. I have the same hangover. I hope you doggie had not gotten into something he not suppose to. You may have to take him to the vet. Is he eating?

Well not only did my family share a great meal but they also past around a sore throat. My DS and DD was in the bed all day y-day. No fever but my DS has a bad cough. I gave him some Mulcinex DM and lots of fluids.

w/o PUB/PLB premix
b-oatmeal
l-chicken sandwich
s-protein bar and orange
d-left over bake chicken and ??
s- 100cal popcorn

HEy Kate,
Has your doggie been pooping normally? I am no vet by any means, but when our schnauzer was throwing up all the time and acting like that she had an obstruction. She had swallowed a hickory nut and it got stuck! Just a thought.

Hey, everybody! I haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread yet, but I hope everyone had a great holiday. Mine was nice, just a little sad since it was the first one without DFIL. On a brighter note, we had a birthday lunch for my mom last Saturday and it was wonderful. She had a great time and really enjoyed it. That was nice for me.

Kate, I thought of you when I heard the school delay on the radio this morning. Glad to know it makes your day easier! Isn't the snow especially beautiful this time? My backyard and neighborhood are just gorgeous.

Katie, be careful working out with the crud. I hope your day at work goes fast.

Morris, glad to hear your foot feels better, but sorry about your other parts. And sorry about the family problems--trust me when I say I can relate. ;-)

Robin, sorry about the sore throat. Hopefully everybody feels better soon.

Klaudia, I thought of you as I was out shoveling snow last night. I figured you were home alone...

Who did I miss? Angie and Colleen? I hope you're both doing well.

Hi to anyone else I missed, too.

Okay, true confession time. I did not work out at all last week. Sigh. But, I'm back on the bandwagon this week. I did SuperSets yesterday and I plan to do 3 cardios, 2 tap classes, and a circuit workout as the week goes on. I have to travel for work this week, but it's just an overnight, so it won't interfere too badly with my schedule.

b--yogurt and string cheese
l--?
d--?

Talk to you later!

anne

Robin, Fighting and sickness - double yuck! Start those 1RMs! I need to do mine too, but I'll prob. wait another month. I think I'll start STS in Feb....maybe. Maybe January!

Susan! So glad to see you! Join us! How is Haley doing? And schooling for you?

Mufasa is pooping and eating. His vomit is just piles of dog food. Same food he's always eaten, no changes. I *really* don't want to go to the vet. 1. I'd have to do it w/ the girls. 2. I don't want to have to pay for $1000 worth of tests and medecines trying to fihure out what it is. Sounds bad, I know, but I just don't want to sink a bunch of money into him... Oh, I feel really bad typing that!

Anne, the snow is absolutely gorgeous!!! and I can smell our neighbor's wood boiler going when I open the front door and it smells so good! DDs think it stinks tho! Good plan for your workouts this week! Do you have access to a treadmill where you're going for work?

-----------
WO will be this afternoon or evening. AM snack will be clementines! YUM!

Holy Moly! We're already on page 2 and it's only 9 a.m.! Well, I never did get my workout done yesterday:( But I figure 5 days is better than none, right? And I had pizza and a McFlurry!! And the ice cream wasn't even good-no Oreo chunks anywhere! I had every intention of eating clean-had a pork tenderloin thawing and everything-then I caved when Darrin and the girls brought home pizza. Grrr. I am my own worst enemy. Back on the wagon today. I need to work chest and abs, just not sure if I want to do GS, SH or 4DS. Decisions, decisions.

Katie, I need to do my 1rm tests, too. I keep putting them off-they seem so daunting. I may end up guesstimating when the time comes.

Kate, what a great Monday for you! I rememer those preschool days when Milla was a baby-especially in the winter. I always make the joke now that I was spoiled with Milla having a speech disorder-the bus would pick up/drop off in front of my driveway! Her preschool teacher keeps teasing me about having Nevena tested so I can enjoy the bus again;)

Morris, sending some positive vibes your way. Family issues can be so draining, mentally and emotionally. Good job on the workout-get those endorphins going! Hope your recheck goes well.

Robin, hope the kids feel better soon. I love the bonus combo on PUB/PLB-tough!

Anne, welcome back! Glad you had a good holiday weekend. And yes, I was home alone last night:( Darrin went in at 8:00 to get the trucks ready, then came back at 10:30 to change out of his wet clothes and he's still not home. And we didn't get much snow-maybe an inch or so. So you can imagine what it's like during a snowstorm-he's MIA for days, it seems. But, I keep reminding myself that we're fortunate he still has a job in this economy.

Hi Colleen and Angie!

b-cheerios w/banana
s-apple, string cheese
l-salad
s-?
d-pork tenderloin, roasted asparagus, sweet potato

bbl...

Good Morning Everyone!

It is a quiet Monday here and it should be a quiet day since my manager cancelled our afternoon meetings. I was kind of hoping she would keep them so I could veg out for a while in meetings. Oh well. Here is my workout plan for the week:

M: Parts SUB
T: Imax 3
W: Parts Glute Camp
T: either DM cardio premix or BM cardio premix
F: CircuitZone
S: HISM 2

I wanted to get my Bosu out again so I incorporated the Parts Series this week. Next week is CTX and I will figure out the rest of the month later.

Katie, sorry about the Crud. DH and I have had congestion on and off the past week.
Kate, I miss snow delays. I won't mind some snow this year so I can work at home in my PJ's.
Robin, sorry the family is sick. Maybe it was too much drama for everyone.
Morris, sorry about the family problems. Sending you relaxing vibes.
Anne, don't worry about not working out last week. Sometimes we just don't have the time or energy.

b: oatmeal w/ almonds
s: 1/2 Clif Bar
l: maybe turkey sandwich, clementime
s: apple, veggies
d: arroz con pollo

Klaudia - I had a feeling that you would post at the same time as me. Don't you hate it when junk food isn't good?

Looks like we're all back on the wagon today...or trying to anyway!

Klaudia, Good luck with your WO! Darrin's gonna be wicked-tired when he gets home! Mike wouldn't last 3 days with that job. He HAS to have is sleep. Sometimes I think its funny, other times I'm really annoyed. Last week he wanted to take a nap after dinner. Is said "oh, is it hard on you sleeping thru the night?"

Colleen, ^5planning yor WO! I need to do th esmae.... Good menu too!

AM snack was wierd....part of a granola bar, a clementine, and some pistachios!

Hey Kate!!!
I have been thinking of joining in on your checkin. My finals are next week so I will be out of school and have more free time. You guys are very motivatiing to eat clean!
I hear ya about the vet bills! Maybe Morris can give you an idea of what to do.
Haley is awesome!!
You are so lucky that Julia is such a good little sleeper. I know you are loving working out again too!!!!

kate, sorry about your dog. how old is mufasa? vomiting that much makes me pretty concerned about an obstruction(yes, even if the dog still poops), endocrine issues (thyroid disease is possible) or cancers - you know great danes. i would start by cutting back or withholding all food until the vomiting stops, then slowly add in bland foods like white rice and bolied hamburger and chicken. cconsider going to the vets. perhaps you could drop your dog off? i am VERY receptive when a client says they want to know what they can without spending a ton of money. you can do piecemeal tests. that is not a bad thing to say, nor does that make you a bad owner.

gota run to an appointment. i will bbl - eats got off track this am, but i am back on. you all are so motivating!

Susan, I'm sure you'll be doing the happy dance when finals are done! Then a month or so off before it starts again?

Morris, Mufasa is a year and a half. Thanks for the tips - Rice it is for him! What do you think about cooking it in beef broth to make it a little more tempting? Any clues to why the vomiting would only happen at night? I don't think he's vomiting outside because, well, he's a dane and he's always in the house!:D

My eats are totally clean today too! It feels good to treat our bodies right, doens't it?!
Waiting for Isabel to go to sleep then I'm headed down (w/ isabel!) to do 4DS chest/back. I'm *thinking* of following FF's rotation but I won't check in there.

Hope everyone is doing well today!

workout done! yes!!!!!!!!
was 4ds weights - chest/back done 2x.
i was SHAKING w/ the pushups. totally on my knees, im not gonna lie! that was HARD!
just ate my clif bar....mmmmmmm
isabel is being so good! she did most of thw wo w/ me - she even used a spare band for the last round!

Kate and Klaudia--Jennifer posted in OD about a Michigan holiday get together. I hope you guys can make it! We haven't picked a date yet. She suggested after Christmas, but before Jan. 5. I think that's a great idea.

Bye to everyone for the evening. My work day is wrapping up. I was pretty productive today, which is good. I'm off to work out at home, then on to tap class. I hope everybody has a great night!
