Morning X'ers... Busy boards yesterday, looking forward to reading more closely and getting back in a bit with personals!

I had to change my workout schedule today as I am fasting until my 10am Drs appt (hormone doc) so I dont want to lift this morning without my fuel. I shall do a fasted Cardio Kicks & Abs combo of MIS, PowerHour & CoreMax 1. That should be plenty for an empty stomach!

I have great "new" soreness in my quad area just above knee from yesterdays leg fest! Feels nice & toasty this morning without any "pain". Interesting feeling for me. Its usually all or nothing. Thanks for addressing this yesterday Tracy, I am going back to absorb that post more carefully.

Back in a bit

Have a great day to all if I miss anyone!
:)

~~~~~ Personals~~~~~
:7 Monica: (almost X)… You are doing so well! The Gauntlet is one tough workout & you modified segments beautifully! Way to go on getting one of The Terminators DONE! Bootcamp is such a great workout! I love the premix options on that & music is terrific (subjective). If you really focus on using your core it certainly can be a core syn sub although much more cardio impact. Still a good choice tho & IMO a must have DVD!
These fasted medical tests are the PITTS aren’t they? I must say I have never heard of 1 that late in day tho… I’d be up eating until midnight too! Keeping good thoughts for you all the way! Core Stack Cardio Attack is a perfect core syn sub I think… Greg Sims is the instructor- kinda dorky funny like Tony (sort of). Its actually 2 30 minute workouts that are great separately or done as a set. Part 1 is Cardio Stack- intervals but core & balance focused using a band for some parts, next is Core Attack- Floor with tube for abs.. Very unique moves that made me feel my abs. Its pricey at 20.00 but I really think it was a great addition to the Post P90X Library. (Thanks Tracy-X!)
:7 Debra: (almost X) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^5!!!!!!!! I just knew you could get it done! Great way to re-group mentally and do something so good for yourself! Hats off lady! Hope you are sleeping in today! You were posting at 10:30 and I had been fast asleep since 745! Lolol Your day teaching at DD’s school sounds like a great workout too! + the snow.. oh my what an active Tuesday you had!
:7 Jeanette (almost X) Great job with Imax !! I don’t recall how much step you have been sneaking in but I hadn’t done any for weeks and found that the step addition alone was making my legs really feel like a new workout! Funny how quickly our bodies adapt to current routines! The Cottonwood pics are just incredible! It was so nice to see that as we have no real seasons here. Just seeing a gray day (which made for a perfect picture back drop) was reminding me of seasons. Thanks for getting those posted! BTW: DH is a cutie!!
We are already in early spring (40-70’s) and unless we get a day or two of cold spells we are ready to head into summer as early as late March.
:7 :7 Tracy X: So glad you enjoyed the variety of Cardio Attack! I was thinking that although I don’t care for all instructors (I like him OK) the way they have to keep coming up with unique moves in the industry is quite impressive. It really is a skill/gift that I think I take for granted. I cant tell you how long I had to pause DVD to get the tubing un wound from my body trying to get into that last position. I think I muttered- “I’m gonna strangle myself!” Thank you again for thoughts on muscle fatigue vs DOMS. My brain knows that DOMS are not a requirement for growth but it’s a benchmark for me. Today feels great in the legs as I said but its tight & toasty – not what I call DOMS. Perhaps I should just focus on giving it 100% and stop worrying about the DOMS.
:7 Sandra: (almost X) I think you are pushing thru those mental blocks BEAUTIFULLY! Its wonderful when we know our downside and move beyond it. I think that’s what life is all about. I am so happy that you were able to actually enjoy PlyoX yesterday! Only 2 more to go??? What a happy happy day that will be! Tacking on L&G even in part is quite a gutsy move! I bow to your leg endurance!
:7 Steph: (almost X): AWESOME improvements in Yoga X + AWSESOME way to actually be doing Yoga X at this phase! Lolol (I subbed it 90% of time I’m ashamed to say!). Well I am certainly going to be looking into that lean rotation next time! LOLOLOL. So are you going to finish out with X as written? Arent you getting excited for the last push now? I am so happy for you.
:7 :7 LEA X Hope you are resting and eating well so you can recover fully and quickly! {{{LEA}}}
:7 Laurie (almost X) : Hoping it warmed up from -5! I simply cannot believe the diff in temps across the nation when I catch the news at night!
:7 DB(so close to DB X ya can taste it!) Only 3 more workouts to go!!!! Go girl go girl!!!
:7 X: Hope today is rock n roll day for you & DH! BRING IT- You are just about to the halfway mark! Woo Hoo!!!!!
:7 Deb(X is closing in on you!) Hope all is well in your neck of the woods - I know its cold there too!
Happy day to all! Will sneak back before drs appt if I can get this workout cranked out!
:D :D :D
Hey ladies,
Yes, Traci, I AM so close to DBX I could taste it in my Kashi Go Lean Crunch this morning! Tonight is Yoga. So, I'm hooked on Kest because it's only an hour and adding on Yoga Belly 7 only adds about 8 minutes, so I think that's what I'll do tonight. I'll be at work until about 7:00, so fitting an hour 15 in isn't as bad as an hour and a half.
As a generalized personal (you guys know how bad I am at those)... seems like a lot of people were commenting on the boredom factor yesterday. Yes, I've felt it too. However, what's unique about these w/os I think is that fact that you have benchmarks to work with. Although I do dread throwing that Plyo DVD in, as I start doing it I think, "Will I be able to bring my knees up higher for those tuck jumps? Will I be able to ACTUALLY look like I'm pitching a baseball at the end? Hmmm, where will my HR be after Rock Star Hops?" It's all about progress with this series IMHO. It's neat to see the results and I think that's what keeps you going. The thing I'm most impressed about is my results with ARX. When I first did that tape... WOWY! Could practically not move my torso for a full week. That was with barely keeping my legs straight and bombing out on the torso twists. Now, ARX is done NO PROBLEM! That's the kind of stuff that kept me going with P90x.
BTW, did KPC last night instead of Kenpo (see, my boredom factor needed kicked to the curb as well). I was going to cut off the abs seeing as its my recovery week and I just did Core Syn last night, but I wanted to see how far I'd advanced in my ab strength. Although KPC kicked my butt (I think I really brought it considering I have had all that practice with my punches from Kenpo), the whole w/o felt different. I was definitely breathing hard, but I was able to recover a whole heck of a lot faster. Also, I was really able to jump higher and had less strain on my calves... this I attribute to Plyo. The abs... ARX has DEFINITELY taught me how to work 'em. I feel the crunches on the ball a lot more. My big accomplishment was doing ALL the pikes with good form. Those used to KILL before. Now, those were the easiest exercise in the whole bunch for me. That's my triumph for last night.
Good luck bringing it ladies. I know you will! I'll be reading. :)
Morning X'ers,
Classic/Ph3/Week10/Day2
Today is PlyoX for me.
DB, I had to laugh at the pitching in PlyoX. When Tony says don't laugh at my left hand throwing. I usually am right along with him. Of couse I feel my right had pitching is excellent. :7 :7 I'm getting to that point of wanting to do something different. But I will stick to this. I'm determined.
Have a great day!
Laurie
Morning Fellow Xers:
Classic/Phase 3/Week 2/Day 5:
Today was Back & Biceps and I feel pretty good about my workout. My back work was stronger today than the last time I did this workout. I did more lat pulldowns for sure than ever before. Seems like if I push hard at the beginning though, my bicep work suffers later on. There's a lot of bicep work in this anyway so don't think that's a problem. Have a Spinerval session with the Garage Boys tonite and then will come home, eat something, work DH on Chest and Back and both of us do AbX.
Traci, fasting is no fun, DH and I were doing that on Monday ourselves. Monica too. What will they be testing you for? New soreness in quads today? Sounds like a great workout yesterday. Re: step, I hadn't done anything at all since starting P90X, but found after I warmed up a bit, it wasn't a problem. I usually only use 1 riser.
DB, think you are so right about the benchmarks. I do need to get my mind working more for those in PlyoX and challenge myself to improve, instead of to just survive. That's the big part of why P90X is so successful for me for strength gains. Trying to exceed your past weight/rep count. I'm thinking AbX may feel tough tonite because I've done Gilad Abs for the last 2 workouts (with DH). Change is good.
Laurie, hope you can bring it as well as Sandra did yesterday. Once you start it, it gets better.
Hi to everyone,
Jeanette
Good morning ladies!!
Can you believe I am actually posting in the morning?!? My DD is super sick this morning...so my whole day has pretty much been canceled...which I guess is okay...I have plyo on the books today. I am sure I will do something different as this is my least favorite...Not because of the plyo moves so much as the kind of plyo moves..So I will either do Imax3 or maybe CardioX if I'm feeling beat.
Traci...Glad you are feeling DOMS today...of course, I would be shocked after your leg fest if you didn't! Good luck at the Docs this morning. Hope you get some answers and treatment for all of your yucky hormone issues! Maybe then you can stay up past 8:00!!!
Jeanette...It sounds like you have a very active day ahead of you...even after already working out this morning! Glad you felt good about your back this morning...I have the same problem with my bis during that workout...I usually end up taking a bit of a break for my forearms too! I always thought of my forearms as pretty well developed, but I have seen a lot of changes during this rotation.
DB...You are almost there!!! Have a great time with Bryan tonight..I really enjoy his workouts too. I add yoga belly as well...To me, it's the best part of YogaX. Congrats on all of your gains!
Hi to Laurie, LeaX, TracyX, X, Deb, Steph, Sandra, Monica (I posted to you last night) and the rest of you here in X land! Have great workouts today ladies. Will bbl to read about your days!
Debra
Quick check in before heading out to Dr....
Ok- I now think Cardio Kicks Arm drill segment is more intense than KPC ones and the legs arent bad either! I had forgotten how utterly cool this w/o is. For some reason it just moves quickly but with great drill segments. Kick was probably not my best choice after leg fest yesterday as my kicking drills were quite uncomfy with legs & thighs like lead. Abs marathon was awesome! Did that first so my kickboxing was really intense in abs as well. I believe that all the Plyo X is responsible for my new found strength & height in jump kicks today. My legs were as high as the "team" which is a first for me. Yeah... Tony has taken my Cathe stuff to a whole new level for sure!
Back this afternoon! Great day to all!!!!
Good morning,
Last night I did end up joining at 24Hour Fitness. It is a really nice gym. I have been going to Bally's for years, and this was so much nicer and cleaner. So one of the guys working took my body fat percentage -- I had no idea what to expect. I have not ever known what my body fat % is, he had me hold this little electronic thing in both of my hands. So he said it is 17.5% -- I didn't really know what that meant. So when I got home I did some online searching about body fat % and I was really happy with this number!!! I don't know what it was before P90X, but I'm sure it was higher.
Tonight is Shoulders & Arms and ARX. I may add in 30 minutes of cardio, perhaps the combinations from Kick Max. Maybe not. I'll see how I feel later and how much time I have.
I'll be back later with personals. Gotta go get some coffee from the cafeteria.
Monica
CL/PH3/WEEK2/Day3: Back & Biceps; ARX
Hi gang!!
Another day, another workout in the can. I warmed up today by doing CardioX! I've never done that one before, as it's not in the Classic rotation. Interesting little workout. People often complain that it's "easy", so I wasn't really expecting to break much of a sweat. But I did! I got a nice workout that didn't overly stress any part of my body. That's great for a preliminary to a hard weight workout. Funny how Tony donates this workout to his mom & dad at the end. Was he born of a human mother? I thought he was assembled at BeachBody LOL!
I can't remember who asked, but the Legs & Back is not included in Phase 3 of the Lean Rotation. I had the same question and went back to the book to take a look. Chest & Back also is only in the 3rd phase, not in the first at all. I like the look of the Lean rotation and might give that a go next time. Heck, I started off this round doing "Classic", have added enough cardio to be doing "Doubles", so why not do "Lean" just so I can say I've done them all??
Back and Biceps went very well today. Saw minor improvements throughout. I swear by the last 1/3 of that workout my forearms and tired hands are my biggest limitations. The biceps and back might be able to hammer out a few more reps, but I just MUST get the weights out of my hands, or let go of the bar. I'm not sure if there's anything I can do about that. ARX was fine. I can do that workout in my sleep; I'm so ready to put that one away for a bit. Only 2 more weeks of it (7 more times!). That's all?! Huh. I'd better get serious and start trying to do those sit ups with my legs crossed instead of straight out. That might make it "fun" all over again!
Oh, something I keep meaning to mention. In the P90 Sweat 1-2 that DH is doing these days, all of the music (except the warm up) is the same as Cathe's in the CTX series, Cardio Kicks, and a bit from Rhythmic Step. It's like the Cathe and Tony karmas collide....
What's with all these people having their blood sucked out of them? People, people! That is NOT the way to lose weight! Build muscle!
Jeanette, I have a problem with the medical people finding my veins when they draw blood. What I learned last time was that the more dehydrated you are, the smaller the veins, and the harder it is to find them. Since you had to fast for the test, you were likely under-hydrated. Was IMAX fun? All those plyo jacks would do a number on your inner thighs for sure! Have fun spinning with the boys tonight!
TraciX, I'm with TracyX on not going by DOMS to indicate a thorough workout. Tired and stiff muscles the next day are as good as, or better, an indication. How'd you hormone dr consultation go today? I'm very interested in what she recommends for you. How wonderful to read about your workout today. My favourite thing about Cardio Kicks are those drills at the end. The 25 mins of cardio-kickboxing before it isn't something I enjoy very much, but as you said it flies by, then you're on to the good stuff! Your abs will be swearing at you tomorrow from today's assault! Wow!
Lea, I hope you're feeling better by now. ((((Lea)))).
DB, your comment about how you see improvement with PlyoX as a motivating factor for doing the workout was *exactly* what I was thinking when I did it yesterday!! I performed some of the moves so much better than in Phases 1 and 2, and thought to myself: "This phase is all about the gravy. This is the stage where consistency in the first 2 phases pays off, and I actually *see* improvements." I've certainly noticed that with YogaX. Last week I barely broke a sweat with that workout, and in Phase 1 it left me in an exhausted puddle on the floor.
Debra, so sorry to hear about the sick DD :-( IMAX3 or CardioX? A workout from one extreme to the other. Whichever you choose, have a good workout!
Monica, a BF of 17.5%?! I don't think I've EVER been that low! Wow! Last night I noticed that our grocery store had one of those things put in the pharmacy section. I didn't try it because I didn't know my height and weight in metric! The machine required kilograms and centimetres, as per the law I suppose, but here in Canada everyone still *talks* in pounds and inches. So I shall have to convert my measurements and go back and try again. They tell you to do it not within 2 hours of eating or drinking....when do I ever go that long?! How do you plan to use your new gym membership, in combination with P90X?
TracyX, are you going to give us any indication of your P90X gains or losses? Did you see any noticeable physical changes? I'm not asking for photos (oh yes I am), but would love to hear you brag about your results!
Have a great day,
Sandra
:eek: Hi Gang- Just back from a very long 3 hour consult & testing w/ bio-identical hormone dr. I really loved her and her facility… Feel free to Fast Forward thru all this if you so wish- It can be boring for those with no hormonal issues! Personals will follow shortly!
Multitude of tests run that will take about 10 days to come back. She complimented me over & over & over about my fitness level being that of a 25-30 year old and used the word LEAN 4 times (yes I counted!!) She said that with my diet as clean as it has been and the exercise I do diligently, that I should be feeling better and more chipper than I ever have in my life. That’s our ultimate goal – 1 step at a time.
Based on a 1 ½ hour visit with doc she has started me on my compounding meds & such. Test results + my feedback on a weekly basis will determine adjustments of dosages.
Classic symptoms for severe adrenal fatigue (can be turned around so meds are temporary)
Medications:
Cortisol SR
Armour Thyroid
Bella Fem Natural Progesterone
Testosterone
For 30 days I will be yeast free and taking Biostatin (30 days) and Diflucan for just 1 week. This should take care of my remaining allergy symptoms as they only occur certain times of the month & with certain foods (All my food/ symptom tracking over the past year was how she spotted this)
Dr commended me on my vitamin / mineral supplementation and I specifically asked her about my Primrose dose (same as Tracy’s) and she said that it was probably perfect. She is having me reduce it to 4 in AM & 4 in PM since I should be starting to level out in a few weeks.
I go back in 6 weeks but will be doing a weekly phone consult with her to track progress. She said that I should start to see a few more “like my old self” days each month and at 3 months we will know where to go next.
A very interesting, enlightening and hope-filled visit! Keep logs ladies and pay attention to your bodies – it really saved so much trial & error with initial meds.
~~~~~ Personals~~~~~

:eek: DB: Have a wonderful time with your Yoga fest tonight… Each one is so enjoyable knowing it’s the last “required”. So cool to hear that you too are jumping higher & engaging abs more than ever! I guess we old exercise dogs can still learn new tricks..LOVE THAT!

:eek: LAURIE: Hope you jump REALLY high in Plyo X! Enjoy

:eek: JEANETTE: OMG- A double whammy day! Upper this morning and riding tonight! You must be getting so lean & mean! I generally use 1 riser as well. I find I can focus more on the workout as intended rather than worrying about falling on my face! I always seem to miss the top by just a hair if more than 1 riser! OUCH

:eek: DEBRA: So surprised to see you up bright & early! Are you feeling proud as a peacock after yesterdays workout? So sorry about DD- Hope its nothing too serious – I’m sure you’ll be playing nurse all day! I do hope you can get your Imax or CardioX in as planned! Go Girl Go!

:eek: Monica: 17.5% ????? Holy Guacamole!!!!!! You are LEAN WOMAN!!! I am so impressed…. Is this how you have always been ? How much leaner did the X make you? My jaw is on the floor! ^^^^^^^^5 I’m happy you found a gym that appeals to you- it will be great for cross training & such. Enjoy SH/Armas & of course the WONDERFUL ARX!

:eek: Sandra: Glad to hear about Cardio X- I’ve only done it once and that was 3 months ago so I have forgotten all of it! Nice to have it there for a Tony Cardio Fix! … heheheheh Assembled at BB.com hehehheheeh I’m planning on doing lean rotation next time too just for a change… But then again I enjoy all the wt work so much maybe doubles? LOL Who the he** knows! FUNNY about music in DH’s workouts! Does he seem to care as much about music as we all do?

Happy afternoon to all the X’ers who are busy working away… Special GET BETTER HUGS going to LeaX {{{{{{{lea}}}}}}}

Hi all,

We got an inch of snow and they cancelled school today, so I caught up on some stuff I would have had to do this weekend. Today is sh/tri/bi. Still on the fence about what I’m going to do with that. The current plan is to use the mix and match feature of gym styles and do each exercise once in a circuit fashion and then add on those body parts from MM or HST or supersets. I have decided that if the same exercise is repeated, I’ll change the hand position or do something to challenge the muscle a little differently. I’ll still add diamond and tricep pushups. I’ll probably do some yoga, left hip is really tight. I think it is just residual from the back issues. It suX* though.

DB almost DBX – I also found that the progress factor outweighed the boredom factor and helped me to get through. There was always room for improvement on p90x workouts and similarly on every other workout I do. It’s all in the perspective. I like the catch and throws on plyo x. I feel like I can jump so high, although I hesitate to look at my reflection to see exactly how high I was jumping! I’m still keeping records of what I’m doing now, hopefully that will help to keep me on track.

Laurie – Enjoy plyo x! Bring it for the group! How was ch/sh/tri yesterday?

Jeanette – I always felt like when I went heavy on one exercise or pushed harder then another suffered slightly and I wasn’t sure how to balance that out. I have small veins too and always warn the medical prof. to get someone who knows what they are doing. They usually have to resort to using a vein on the top of my wrist. I just looked at the picture trail. The cotton woods look so cool. My son has an off road samari that he puts on a trailer to get it to the site. Finding places that allow ORV is quite difficult around here. His dream is to tow it out west, especially Moab and have some fun!

Debra – Another plyo x??? I always find if I don’t like the moves they are probably hard for me and I should try to do them, but subbing is OK because it’s sooo mental. Have fun with whatever you end up choosing. I always felt like I was back with an old friend when I pulled out something that I hadn’t done for a while.

Traci – I'm so glad to hear that the dr appt went well and was promising. It is so hard to find someone you like who is good. Glad you enjoyed your workout too. I usually don’t do kickboxing after intense leg work because my legs are just too tired. Good idea doing abs before the kickboxing to get an added benefit. We have 4 distinct seasons here which I think is one of the reasons that I like it so much. Just when you are tired of one, another comes.

Monica –That BF is great! I hope the gym membership works out for you. Seems like it will add some variety, plus give you someone to workout with when you want company. Good luck on the tests, maybe they will clear this up once and for all.

Sandra – For a long time my forearms were the limiting factor on back and biceps. That workout took my biceps to a whole new level of strength. I’m planning on posting some pictures, but was hoping to get ttom out of the way by the weekend. My husband said he’d help. I didn’t take any before photos, but at least you can see how I look now. IMO probably the best I’ve looked in a long time.

BBL, enjoy the rest of your afternoons and workouts.

Hi to all...Still haven't done my workout yet...since the morning was spent nursing my DD...We both had a nap (in fact she is still asleep, poor dear) and I am feeling pretty bright eyed and bushy tailed so I will probably do Imax 3....not my favoite of the Imaxes, but the hardest in my opinion...

TraciX...Glad you felt you got so much from your Dr appointment!! I hope the supplements she is putting you help you feel better soon! It's nice to hear someone you don't know talk about how lean you are...That's great!

Tracy...I had to look up to see where you live for them to cancel school with 1 inch of snow. We had 6 inches here yesterday and things moved along like normal...with just a few more wrecks! I have really tried to like plyoX....but too many boy moves for me and my non-athletic self! I don't feel like I get as much out of it as I should because I am so goofy and have not ever played any sports and just don't know the moves that well. Can't wait to see your after pics!

Monica...WooHoo on the body fat!! You rock!! Keeping my fingers crossed for your upcoming tests! Have fun with S&A tonight...it's my favorite!

Sandra...I am the same way with B&B...My forearms really take the brunt of the workout! I have been giving myself a slight rest in between sets once my forearms are killing me which helps some. My forearms have definitely gotten more developed though!

Well...I'm off to check on my poor sick baby...and to put on my workout clothes...Once I put them on the I HAVE to workout! Hope everyone has a great evening!!

Hello everyone, just wanted to drops some personals before I go home from work.

DB -- You mentioned Kashi Go Lean Crunch. That stuff is dangerous for more than one reason. #1 - I stick my hand in the box for a quick snack and somehow the entire box gets eaten. Seriously. The whole box! It's addictive. #2 - A few hours later I have more gas problems than I have ever experiences. It affects me like no other food! Thanks for the Plyo pep talk, I will try to do it next week. I just couldn't pull it off this week. I am jealous that you did KPC. I would go ahead and sub it in, but my mother has borrowed it and is loving it! I'm afraid I may have to buy it again, as she will want to keep it.

LAURIE -- My pitching is bad on both sides. Doing that move in Plyo X is very embarrassing to me -- I just can't do it.

JEANETTE -- Back & Biceps is my favorite upper body workout. I look forward to that next week. You're right fasting is no fun. Especially since I pretty much eat something every two hours. They are taking a look at a growth on my tumor to see if it is a hemangioma (benign) -- hopefully that's what it is.

DEBRA -- I'm sorry that your daughter is sick. How old is she? Poor thing. I hope she is feeling better quickly.

TRACI -- I don't own Cardio Kicks. Do you think it is worth buying? I own KPC (if I can get it back from my mom) and Kick Max, as well as several Taebos. It sounds like you have a good doctor! To do a weekly follow up call really shows that she cares. I am quickly learning the value of a good attentive doctor. Thanks for the ^^^5 on the BF% I don't know what my body fat was before, but I know I have leaned out a lot during P90X -- especially my core and upper body.

SANDRA -- I also sweath during Cardio X! I really like that workout. I'm also ready to put away ARX for a while. I have three more weeks of it after this week. It always does seem to go by quick though. When I give blood I have problems sometimes too. My veins are large enough, but they tend to roll and the needle misses them! I always appreciate it when I have someone with a lot of experience drawing my blood or starting my I.V. I am very excited about my new gym membership. The only way I plan to use it during P90X is as an extra cardio session to help me continue with a Doubles rotation. I can't ever fit in doubles right now because of my husband's band practice. This way i can get away from the boys. Once I am finished with P90X I'm not sure how I will use it. One thing is for sure -- I will not be using it for their group exercise classes. I think their classes are designed for a beginning exerciser.

LEA -- Getting worried - haven't heard from you at all. I hope you just busy and not still sick. Drop us a line if you get a chance.

Take care,
Monica

HI all,

Well I finished my workout and did the Gym stlyes ch/sh/tri alternating exercises, but trying to vary the second set just a little with hand position etc. Did'nt do any band work. I added on as many as I could do in 2 consequitive sets, diamond pushups, pike pushups using the ball, and tricep dips on the ball, and tricip pushup. I tried to do some side tri -rise whatevers, but my chest is definitely still flaming from Monday! I must say, by that point, the number of reps wasn't very many, but I have a great pump in my arms and was able to use weights similar to what I used in p90x. It's a clumsy way to workout though. Maybe it will get better after I do it a couple of times.

Debra - I hope you can get your workout in, that your DD is better tomorrow, and that you don't get it! We are terrible here when it snows. The schools just don't have the equipment to clean up the parking lots quickly and I think that they are afraid of lawsuits JMO, because the main roads were clear at 7am.

Monica - So many of the grains do the gas thing to me too. I have almost stopped eating oatmeal because my abs pouch out so much after I eat it. It is disgusting. Do you have any of the Power strikes? They are good kickbocking routines. I always feel like my core is really worked. Very different from Cathe or p90x though; production quality is poor, but workouts make up for it. Jury is out for me on Cardio Kicks. I have it, but don't pick it up very often and I'm not sure why. I think ciruit max comes with it and I used to do that one quite frequently. The dvd is probably worth the $$.

Tracy

Hello again,

Tonite was Garage Boys Spinerval Session. Think it was called Terrible Time Trial or something brutal anyways. It was a good one, but left me feeling invigorated and very, very sweaty, like buckets of sweat dripping off. DH is working on the Bowflex right now and I finished AbX. Great day today!

Debra, how is your daughter today? Hope she will recover quickly. Hope Imax3 was a good one for you but also that you crushed it! I have Plyo Legs from the Master Series, but not sure what it entails. Got to check it out.

Traci, isn't it a great feeling to be able to jump higher, longer, etc.? Good job on Cardio Kicks. That's one that I don't have yet. I haven't been a big fan of kickboxing, but really have liked KenpoX better than some of my other kickbox DVD's. Can't wait for you to get your results back. I upped my Evening Primrose to 2 capsules a day. Guess what, no breast tenderness at all this time for TTOM, short period (2 days total) and less swelling in my legs and water retention, though still some. Hope it was the EP.

Monica, how fun to join the Gym. I've thought of that from time to time, but really like being at home and having extra time in the evenings for other things. 17.5% Body Fat!!! You rock! Still have my fingers crossed and prayers going for you on your test results. Monica, I love the Kashi cereals but found out that they really, really, really give me gas. If I eat the cereal in the morning, by noonish, my stomach is distended painfully. I tried to pin it to something else I was eating, but alas, for sure it was the Kashi cereal. Funny, I never noticed having that effect when I was at home, but maybe it's being tied to your desk at work and not moving around that makes you gas up like a balloon.

Sandra, can you believe I've never done CardioX yet? My forearms get tired during the lat pulldowns for Back & Biceps. They used to burn and I would back off because I was afraid of straining a tendon or something. They haven't burned too much lately so I guess that's a good thing. Re: the dehydration thing for my veins, I always try to really slam the water during the fasting so that my veins will be puffier, but it doesn't happen for me. My body gets kind of "shocky" or something and if they do hit a vein, it collapses or just quits letting the blood out. I was sooo relieved when she got blood thru the vein on the top of my hand using a "butterfly". Up until then, I was really feeling picked and poked on. Spinning was excellent tonite, Coach Troy was mean, mean, mean.

Tracy, Moab would be soooo cool to go to. I know it's a great destination for mtn. bikers but also for 4-wheelers, quads and jeeps. DH and I are planning a week long trip with our Rhino to Utah this summer. We'll be camping along the way in an ATV area called the Paiute ATV Trail. Friends have gone and love it and keep going back to see the beautiful scenery. We are fortunate here in northeastern CA to have soooo much public land around us. We are on the edge of Forest Service land and BLM land. Miles and miles and miles of it. DH and I like to get out to the desert in the spring and head to the forest when it's hotter.

Got to get ready for bed, yoga in the morning. The stretch will be so nice for my legs, though they have really not felt fatigued at all. We'll see after Legs & Back on Friday.

Nighty, night!
