X'ers .....Wednesday

Cathlete
Hi all you dedicated X'ers,

I'm glad to see that I'm first to post and Traci might be sleeping and not up at 2 something.....

I have back and biceps today and will probably add in a little cardio first just to warm up.

I hope everyone has wonderful workouts and feels lean and mean. If the workouts aren't the best, at least you can mark off one more day of the rotation, remember that and forget the rest!

BBl,

Tracy

Good morning,
It just feels way too early this morning. Getting ready to start Back & Biceps and ARX. ARX is going to be difficult this morning to do with my menstrual cramps. I'm just going to work through it and get it overwith. After work, if I have the energy, I'll do Cardio X. The good thing about Cardio X with Doubles is that it isn't extremely intense so there isn't a dread factor. I look forward to the variety in that workout.

I'll be back later for personals and updates. As Tracy said -- let's mark off one more day of the rotation!! YAY!

Monica

Morning Tracy & Monica & all to follow! Slept until 5:30! Must have been the 2 glasses of wine at dinner.... Clean living makes you a lightweight I guess! SOOOOO Happy today is Yoga. My body is sore, fatigued and feeling like its been working hard... I think you all know EXACTLY how that feels!
I'll be doing Yoga Zone Beginners w. Alan Finger and see how I feel after the hour...Might throw in an Ellen Barrett Yoga/Pilates Blend but mu abs are pretty sore from yesterday. I'm thinking I'll attempt Yoga X for my final recovery week Yoga which is 1 week from Friday. No way my arms could handle the first 45 minutes of that today. NOODLES!
Back w/ personals after I go thru yesterday afternoons posts
Great day to all and I am 100% with Tracy & Monica- Lets all just do our best and forget the rest...& get 1 more day checked off!

Hi guys,

Did MM again today, no abs. I will save them for tomorrow after my treadmill HIIT workout.

Traci: I would really like to try and "like" Yoga. Is there a short beginner DVD you could recommend? maybe 30 minutes? I even think about an hour of Yoga and shudder! I like the thought of a Yoga/Pilates blend.. how long is that workout?

Have an "X-Cellent" day!:)

Hey Everyone,

Back & Bis and ARX last night. I really brought it. My hr was up to about 150 bpm during a few of the bi exercises. Upped some of my reps and did the crouching cohen curls with 15s (per Traci's suggestion). My goal was 12, but i think I could've done more. Will up it next week. Tonight is Yoga. Lovin' it! Haven't got my Kest videos yet. I hope those come in after P90x is over so I'm not tempted to stray from Yoga X. I wonder how enthused I'll be to go back to any of the P90x videos once I'm done with the rotation. I love the videos, but i definitely need a change up.

Monica, menstrual cramps are the worst. I was originally prescribed the pill because my cramps are so bad. However, the pill makes me feel worse all over, so now I just struggle through it. An extra piece or two of chocolate always helps. I'm always down a few pounds during my period, so that helps too.

Traci, I think it's good you slept in today. 2:15am bright eyed and bushy tailed... WOW! I wish I could be that way at 6:15am when I normally wake up.

Fox, have you done any Yoga before? I hadn't before P90x, but love it. The first few times through the hour and a half, I was struggling, but now I realize why its so long. Also, I definitely need the stretch time between the moving poses, balance poses and abs. I'm sure you'll be able to find shorter Yoga videos out there. I read some reviews on the Firm Yoga tape. It's seems to be centered more around intensive stretching, but maybe that's a better place for you to start.

Tracy, good luck bringin' it with Back and Bis today. That's a really tough tape for me with the interspersed pull ups.

Have wonderful days all!:9

 TRACY:
WOW on your w/o yesterday! I totally get about Cathe Abs being easier to cheat on... Guess it really is all about the individulas personal desire to push the limits & focus. I cant recall the abs in C&W / SJP so I will pull those out today & see what Marathon concoction I can come up with, thanks for the idea. I think thats why I wish Cathe would do another Ab Hits with all the w/o from last one until now... Makes it sooooo much easier to mix n match a great ab routine. I hadnt thought about inserting the pull ups / push ups within my post routine. Once I get into Cathes stuff I bet we'll all be modifying those spreadsheets! .. I'll PM you Trac so you can shoot me your email address for those if you'd like. Took me forever to figure out this PM/ Email thing on Cathes site! LOL on abs! YES yesterday I must say they were POPPING quite nicely and for about 2 hours were a solid 4.75 pack! Now they are back to a great 3.50! LOVE seeing abs pop like the guns! Have a great time w/ Back & Bi- I feel great after that one... I love the bicep fatigue I feel today & of course the back DOMS are kicking in because of the new intensity w/ Home Gym! Pump it girl!!

 JEANETTE:
I am feeding off your positive energy this week! THANK YOU... I think thats one of the great things about having this group... at least 1 or 2 of us is always the cheerleader/philosopher on any given day.... Thanks for being that for me this week. This morning I am just so emotional... PMS in full swing and I find myself tearing up with each & every post I read. I am so darn PROUD of us. I feel like everyone is far enough along now to understand/appreciate what others are feeling (emotionally & physically). I am in awe of the goodness & wisdom in our group. .... What a wonderful thing to see as DH slowly encorporates healthy changes. I so would love mine to do something as a mental release from work if nothing else... I can tell its "hard" for him to watch me transform in so many areas but he has to want to have a life other than work 15 hours & sleep. His energy at home is so low this winter with the extra 30 pounds and fast food eating 2x a day. I pray every day that he finds that "just today" mentality and will do something healthy.......
Your riding routine sounds like a lot of structure! I hope if I get my bike for birthday in March that I will be able to find a way to properly put it into a rotation... I'll be picking your brain for maximum results! BTW: Do you consider longer rides as like a LegCardio or just lower or just cardio?... See your helmet story a few days ago got me all excited! lol

 Monica:
So happy you conquered Plyo yesterday. Does feel good to complete the mission of the day doesnt it? My calendars (2) that are color coded & have stars are my primary motivation right now! I wanna see it full by month end! I had to lol because I dont like ab work on cramps day either! Never sure if I'm really working the muscle or if its just a cramp hitting! At least you are going to get it done! Enjoy you B*B as well........ BRING IT!

 DB:
Wow Wow Wow *Rock Stars..... You are wild - related to Tony?? Thanks for tip on using music of choice to w/o. As crazy as it sounds in all my years of home exercising I have never done that. I bet I missed good workouts just because I didnt like music/instructors so gave things away. It does seem that Tony knows exactly when to say something about quitting, hard, etc that motivates me to continue. I suppose I like hearing that he & kids are struggling with me! ha Awessome workout last night! ^^^^^^^^^5 GREAT JOB w/ crouching curls! I think 15's are JUST FINE for me!! lol

 LEA:
YES detoxing with clean food indeed affects the brain.typing functions! My 2 glasses of wine at dinner last night have me feeling quite hungover today! That was over a 3.5 hour dinner! What a wimp I've become. You'd have been very proud of me tho... I went the sashimi route to avoid white rice, had seaweed salad & edamame. Did good!

 SANDRA:
Enjoy & Core Syn in same sentencs???? Oh No! I think perhaps you bonked your head during banana rolls! Cant help ya unassisted Rolls... I get 1-2 done. I guess I just think that I'd rather work my core doing strong shoulder stands than just a rock & roll which is the only way I can accomplish the 2. Momentum is still to much involved for me to get up. On eating... it is good when some trusted sources begin to have similar concepts isnt it? I think I know something BS if it strays from these kind of clean eating principles (or is it pals?) Oh lordy not 3 recovery drinks! My gosh I'd be in sugar over load!!! I actually drank 1 drink split between the workouts... At this point I dont know that theres a recovery drink known to man that will help my body stop aching! 180squats ROCK! I guess with my thick thighs its just "easier" to go down rather than jump! PLUS- I actually FEEL my glutes cramp up! Dont feel anything but tired after the rock star attempts! ha Your thoughts on Phase 3 were very much appreciated and so noted. "I think they put this week into the mix to basically wring every last ounce of energy from your body. Once you've had a week to recover from this last phase, you will probably see superb results, because you pushed yourself just a little bit farther and had to work a little bit harder. I think, if you've put the right amount of intensity into the 3rd phase, you are expected to be sick of the entire P90X program, and ready to move on to something different" Thank you for the eloquent words of wisdom. I read the manual over again yesterday and Tony does talk about that after final recovery week you need at least 2 weeks of something else before doing X again.... That tells me he is fully aware that he's "hurting us!" lololol ..... On DH's new program.... CREATE ONE for him is my vote! You are so good at rotations Sandra and as long as his "ego" understands to do what he can vs "follow video" then he'll be fine. The way the original masters are structured is indeed to dull for someone to do for that long...just my though.

 FOX2: I feel the SAME about yoga... I LOVE the 2 Ellen Barretts that I got the best. (collagevideo). They are chaptered and segments are like 10 minutes each so mix n match is incredible easy & effective. Both are from her series called CRUNCH -
** Super Slim Down Pilates / Yoga Blend. 6 segments + w/u & cooldown 45min total
** Fat Burning Pilates 6 segments + w/u & cooldown approx 50 min total
Anyway.... Are you feeling that strong to do MM in recovery week- TWICE? ... I cannot imagine doing all that extra weight work!

  Hope today is incredibly wonderful for every one!!!!!! Yes Lea... WHERE IS DEBRA???????? She must have had so much fun on her birthday that she forgot all about us!!!!!

Happy day to ALL!

Morning X'ers,

Classic/Ph2/Week8/Day2

Today will be Core Syn.

Don't have a lot of time this morning, pile of paperwork on my desk. Hopefully I can get back for more chatting later.

Have a great day!

Laurie

Laurie; missed you this morning!!! Enjoy Core Syn & thanks for stopping in w/ such a busy morning!!! take care.

CL/PH2/WEEK4/Day3: KenpoX

Good morning,

I have exactly 1 min to post before I need to go wake up dd#2 and get dd#1 to the bus stop.

Today is KenpoX on the books. Even though I just did it on Saturday, I'm looking forward to doing it again today. Nice to have a workout without any dread factor!! If I "feel" like it, I will tack on the KickMax Blast Challenge again. Also debating whether to wear the weighted gloves during a "recovery" week workout. Probably will.

BBL for personals. Have a great workout!
Sandra

Morning Fellow Xer's!

Classic/Phase 2/Week 4/Day 3 (Recovery Week)

Today was KenpoX and I had a good workout, probably better than Saturday's. We are having a pancake breakfast at work this morning so I was thinking that I will really need to burn those calories, which kept me motivated. Anyway it was a feel good workout for me, with weighted gloves too. I focused on using my core to stop the moves. Tonite will be a Spinerval session for about an hour on my bike and then will work DH on just shoulders and abs.

Monica, hope B&B goes well and I bet you'll get your CardioX in too.

Traci, I have a Yoga Zone Power Yoga for Beginners and believe it or not, that was my very first workout video about 3 years ago or so that started me working out with DVD's/videos so I have a fond spot in my heart for it. Well, still feeling lean, though I weighed myself and weight is pretty much the same, BF% pretty much the same too. Sorry you are feeling emotional, but I really understand, we all do. I'm sure hoping that my DH sticks with an exercise program. I'm trying to find some fun cardio that he can do. I know he works hard, but I think he doesn't really pace himself to go further into the day. Like once he's into the house after work, that's it for him. So I let him know before he leaves for work in the morning what workout I have planned for him so he can get his mind around it. He does love to walk thru the woods, looking for firewood trees and taking our dogs to run. We'll get more into that once it gets warmer. He likes to ride his mtn. bike (a little) but doesn't ride enough to get past the sore rear thing. Oh yeah, I consider the longer rides as cardio, not leg workouts. I will be rethinking my rotations in the future and factoring my bike rides more as my cardio and then focusing on strength whereas I used to do more cardio workouts at home (in addition to the bike riding). Now that I know I don't have to do so much cardio to stay fit, that will take off the pressure and allow me to get in more yoga or try some Pilates or something else.

DB, sounds like you really had a good B&B workout. Crouching Cohens are tough for me. Think I'm doing like 12#. I do them leaning against a door as I always feel it in my back too much. Hope you like your Bryan Kest yoga DVD's. I think he's great. I kind of fast forward thru all the talking at the front now, but once he gets going, it's good. More Zenlike than YogaX and I look forward to it more.

Laurie, hope you like Core Syn today. So far, seems like everyone has liked it that's been doing it lately.

Sandra, hoping for a great KenpoX for you too! I loved it today and it wasn't that hard. I wore my weighted gloves and was glad I did.

Got to run,

Jeanette

Good morning!

Well this is the last week before recovery of Phase 2. I am so excited to get to Phase 3!!!!

I am so excited to say that I kicked A$$ on B&B this morning! I have never been able to do more than 2 or 3 reps with 15s for biceps, but this morning was different. I was able to do 15s for the following bicep work:

8 reps -- 1 arm cross body curls
8 reps -- standing bicep curls
5 reps -- 1 arm concentration curls
3 reps -- open arm curls
8 reps -- crouching cohen curls (I hate these!)
8 reps -- 1 arm corkscrew curls
8 reps -- Hammer curls

The only things I really used my 12lbs for were some of the open arm curls, statis arm curls, curl-up hammer downs and in-out hammer curls.

For my strip set curls I did: 15#, 12#, 10#, 8#

Okay - so this may be more information than you really wanted, but you got it anyway!!

** TRACI ** If you like the Yoga Zone Beginners, I would recommend another one by Yoga Zone -- Power Yoga for Strength and Endurance. It is a tough one similar to Yoga X, but only 1 hour. I love it - my favorite yoga DVD. I think I might have already mentioned it to you a couple of weeks ago -- sorry for the repeat info. I hope you enjoyed your wine last night. I love having a glass of wine with my meal, but I have been cutting that out due to headaches.

** DB ** I think that after you are done with doing P90X for a while the P90x videos will start calling you back. I know that I will be mixing them in with Cathe on a regular basis. Funny you mentioned the pill -- I was also originally prescibed the pill for cramps and have been on the same one now for 15 years. I am about to get off because it has caused the growth of a tumor on my liver. I am having an MRI tomorrow to find out if it is benign or cancerous. I advise people to stay away from the pill. So you are down a few pounds during the period?? I am the opposite -- always up a few pounds. Very bloated.

** SANDRA ** I agree completely -- love it when I have a workout scheduled that has no dread factor. I always feel that way on Kenpo X day. It isn't so hard that it kills me, it's only one hour, and there is never anything else I have to do afterwards like ARX or a doubles session. I will have to try the weighted gloves. How much do yours weigh?

** JEANETTE ** Pancake breakfast? YUMMY! Sounds great! How much do your weighted gloves weigh? See my above note to Traci regarding another Yoga Zone DVD that I highly recommend. I also have a hard time getting my DH to exercise. He will go for a walk with me occasionally, but that is about it. He told me that he wants to get a treadmill, so I think we will do that. I think he is a little embarrassed / intimidated to exercise for fear I will critique or judge him since I am in good shape. I would never say a word though, would just be happy to see him up and moving.

Everyone have a great day!
I'll be back later!
Monica

Hi everyone. Just finished with Back/Biceps and arx for the very last time, well, not ARX. But I did do ARX first to get it out of the way and I think I will do that on Friday too. I am really amazed at how much I have improved over 12 short, yet long weeks.

I want to thank every single one of you gals here for being such an inspiration and motivator. All of you are very nice and knowledgeable and I thank you:).

I really don't have time for personals right now but I will try later. If not have a great day.

Lea

Hi friends,

Well, I'm just whomped today. I did KenpoX, and did a great job, but my pre and post energy levels are very low. I am feeling tired all over from CoreSyn yesterday. I guess changing things up like this is very effective, hey? My shoulders and core are mildly achy (among the rest of my body), so I left off the weight gloves. This is, after all, a "recovery" week, right? I also passed on doing the KM Blast Challenge. I think I'll stick to the recovery week as written, and try to store up my energy and motivation for Phase 3. That's why they gave us this week, so I think I'd be smart to trust them on that. But I truly enjoyed KenpoX. It seemed to be exactly the right intensity for how I feel today.

After my shower I lay down on the floor for a half hour, with my legs bent at right angles, feet up on the couch. Sort of looked like I was sitting in a chair, but on my back. My back is very tired, and this position just feels so good. Does anyone else ever do this? It's also great for tired feet.

Tracy - yep, I'm pleased to mark another one off the rotation! Woohoo! CW abs 2x, and SJP abs too? Oh my! Toasty!! I think all ab work is easy to cheat on. It's very easy to let other muscles take over when you're getting tired or bored. I hope you're able to do PlyoX tomorrow. What cardio did you add on to BB today? How'd it go? On the thesis front, I've been hacking away a bit every day, but it's slow going right now. I'd hoped to have chapters 5,6,&7 finished by this Friday, but I'm still dallying on Chapter 5. It's the heart of the data analysis, and I've made so many changes in the first 4 chapters that I need to carefully edit this chapter to correspond. Ugh. And I still have to write an entirely new conclusion. But at least I'm doing it. Not happy at all that I'm missing yet another deadline (very frustrating and demoralizing). But, you can only eat an elephant one bite at a time.....

DB - LOL about rolling around in your delirium. That's me, too! I did notice yesterday that when Pam puts her feet on the ground, they're wide. Her knees are still close together. IMO, her way of doing it looks hard on the knees. Thanks for the input! I'll keep working on it, and hopefully will graduate to unassisted rolls eventually.

Jeanette - which Spinerval are you doing today? DH has a few of them, but never does them. He has a Timesaver one that I think I'll put into the rotation I'm going to create for him. Yes, I'm going to take your advice and just put something together for him. And I'm going to do what I never thought I'd do: cuckold him along. I firmly believe that the motivation for getting in shape needs to come from inside. As such, I've always left it up to him to worry about his level of fitness. But after almost 18 years together, I've finally come to accept that he is a terrible long-term planner. He does not know how to set a goal and work towards it. He sets goals, then abandons them at the first obstacle. And it never seems to bother him! He just shrugs it off and moves on to something else. But since I'm going to be the one who has to live with him in our old age, I have a personal stake in his health. So, I'll do what I can. Of course, the hardest part is up to him...Nice to see your DH doing so well!

Monica - WOOHOO!!! So glad to see you had a great workout, despite the cramps! How was ARX? Awesome work on using 15#s for so much of the bicep work! You must be PUMPED! My gloves weight 1# each. You mentioned that YogaZone Power Yoga video to me last week, and I searched for it. I can get it online, and may order it soon. It looks good! OMG, I just read your statement about the tumor on your liver. I'm so sorry!!! Please let us know what the results of tomorrow's MRI are. We will be worrying about you until we know you're healthy!

Traci - so, how'd all that yoga go today? Are you feeling good now? I have no doubt your core is talking to you today! Pretty much all of your body must be squawking. Maybe that's why you slept so well last night? Your body needed the recovery! 2 glasses of wine hmmmmmmmm? What was the occaision? I was looking foward to doing CoreSyn again on Friday, until I noticed today how every muscle in my body seems tired and mildly sore. Yup, my body is confused. Your DH's situation makes me very sympathetic (and I can certainly relate!). He eats fast food 2x every DAY?! Is it not possible for you to pack him a cooler of food?

Lea - "short, yet long 12 weeks". Nicely put!!! Excellent job on saying farewell to B&B! I wonder how long it will be before you're yearning to pull it off the shelf again? Does that mean only one more time with ARX?! Oh, joyful day!!

Well, I'd best go get some work done on that beastis. I mean that elephant. Time to go take another bite (I wish it tasted better....).

X, Debra, Stephanie, and anyone else who hasn't posted yet, I look forward to hearing how your day went.

Have a great day,
Sandra

I am so MAD! 45 minutes of responses in a word document and it has disappeared!!!!!!!!!! URRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I shall return with personals if it kills me!

  Happy to report that YogaZone + Fat Burn Pilates are completed! Still had some of the Tony moves just not so darn many of them! Gotta save my strength for last 2 workouts of this week!
Got a few personals re-written... Will work on re-building all the rest in a bit.

 MONICA: {{{{{{{{MRI}}}}}}}}}} Picture all your X’ers standing around you and stomping out that awful tumor! With all our strength and well wishes it doesn’t stand a chance! Many many prayers are coming at you….. On your bicep power 15’s…. WOW. WILD WOMAN! I wimped out a bit on yesterdays final strip sets… I actually said out loud “OH TRACI” as I reached for 6-8-9-10! Thanks for Yoga Zone referral… I am absolutely adding to yoga collection this year… Its been so good for this over 40 body. That’s really all I need to add unless of course an X part 2 gets released! YEAH!!!
 TRACY: Hope you have relief in your back this afternoon! Does your workday aggrevate it in any way?
 LAURIE: Hope you are seeing over all that paperwork!
 JEANETTE: Awesome way to bring it w/ Kenpo today! Those pancakes sound heavenly… haven’t had a pancake in years! I adore Alan Fingers… I pop him in when I need mental relaxation. He’s my favorite guru. I bet DH takes to those woods for cardio as soon as it warms a bit…you’ve given him the gift of a “start”… no doubt he’ll take it from there.
I'll be back later with more!

Last of personals! WHEW!!!!!!!!

 DB: Enjoy Yoga tonight…. I give us about 3 weeks to desperately miss Tony weight work!

 DEB: Revision on time from morning post. Fat Burning Pilates is 41 minutes. It’s actually- lit cardio w/ standing yoga & Pilates and short floor Pilates… very good for a light day where you need Yoga/Cardio done.

 GAYLE: Don’t know if you’re still with us but hope all is well!

 DEBRA: Hope we see you soon and that all is well.

 LEA: Back at you lady on the inspiration/motivation. We make a great team don’t we? TEAM… did I hear team…. ITS ALMOST SUPERBOWL!

 STEPHANIE: Hope your day is going great!

 SANDRA: ^^^^^^^5 on really bring it w/ Kenpo! You are really in the groove the past few weeks!... I love the upside down chair… Helps with cramps, lower back pain, achy feet…. Gotta be careful tho cuz at my house me on floor is PLAY time for the 300 #s of dogs!!! As far as that elephant… Just plug away – When it’s done it will be DONE! Deadlines are like rules…made to be broken. Hehehehhehe Last night’s fun was just an all too rare time with girls. 1 is just an acquaintance but the other is one of my 4 true-blue/thick & thin friends in the world. I adore her and we always just seem to pick up right where we left off regardless of the # of months between visits. We talked a lot last night about how our priorities have changed so much in past few years… She turned 50, I’m 44. She just ran the Chicago Marathon and QUALIFIED for Boston in March! I am so proud of her can ya tell! On DH’s food. I actually have his office fridge & pantry stocked full of healthy-healthier foods he likes but he does business meeting breakfasts & lunches 5 days a week. Frustrating for him as he knows he makes poor restaurant choices but seems to be unable to get a grip on it.

 X: Having another great day? How’s DH doing with the rotation?

Great evening to all!
:7 :7 :7

TRACI -- Thanks for the kind words -- I'll let you guys know how it goes. It's not until late afternoon unfortunately, have to stress all day. Not sure if the Dr. talks to me the day of test or not. As for the 15s on biceps - to be very honest there may have been a few reps that were not the best form. However, I didn't care. I felt like Superwoman! I also want to add to my yoga collection. I want to get some short yoga options as add ons to other workouts. I really like Shiva Rea's yoga DVD, but have grown kind of tired of it. I'm open to any suggestions.

ok - I leave work in 1 hour, I hope I keep the stregth and focus to do Cardio X when I get home!

Monica

Hi all,

You all will be happy to here that I did bring it today with B&B. I didn't increase many of my weights, but did increase the number of reps that I could only do a partial set of last time. I'm using 22s for many of the bicep exercises and I think that I'll be there for a while until the form is impeccable and reps increase slightly, been doing 8-10. I'm sure my upper back will be sore tomorrow because I have to fight so hard to stabilize with my back. I did 30 minutes of cardio fusion to warm up and even got in ARX! I'm so glad that I have persevered. I'm looking forward to a break, but also to another rotation with p90x. I really have developed an attachment to the pull up bar. It's like a challenge now to get to the point where I can actually do several pull ups.

Fox star – I love MM and can’t wait to do it again. I never do the legs, but love the upper body premix. Have fun on your recovery week.

DB – Glad you enjoyed B&B. It’s grown on me because I really think that it is soo effective. Kest may help you to keep from straying from yoga once this is over. You can get a really good yoga workout in 50 minutes and it feels so good.

Laurie – I love core syn. It’s such and ingenious workout to complement the recovery week.

Traci – I was thinking the same thing about an ab hits with the later stuff. Some of those ab routines really are pretty good. I got your pm, but when I replied it was sent back to me. I’ll try the pm thing once I finish this. I have to have the back and chest workout in my post p90 routine. I’m too close to really being able to do some chin-ups and pull-ups and I’m not stopping now. I like my new found strength. Was reading about your DG and being overweight. I struggled for years with my older son being overweight. He did loose 50 lbs and has commented on a number of occasions that the person has to decide that they want to loose the weight. It won’t work until that happens and I have to agree with him. It was very hard for me when he was overweight because it is unhealthy, plus unfortunately there is such a stigma attached to it and you have no energy to do anything.

Jeanette – Sounds like you are doing everything you can to keep DH motivated. Good for you. It's not easy to motivate others. I got my son a spinerval for Christmas. He hasn’t done it yet, and I was almost sorry that I got that instead of a CC. Glad you enjoyed kenpox. I like it too, and missed it last week. Oh well, I did my best, I really don’t remember what happened on Saturday, was that my kenpox day?

Monica – Great job on the weights for B& B. Doesn’t it feel good to make progress? I can over look boredom and almost everything else if I am making progress. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for your MRI tomorrow. I’d be worried sick. I had to have a breast MRI a year ago. Thank goodness I was working with a good surgeon or I’d have gone nuts waiting for the results.

Sandra – I added on the first 30 minutes of cardio fusion. It is quite fun and a no brainer for choreography since I’ve been doing Cathe for sooo long. I hear you on the thesis. I’m sure I said this before, but I thought that I was going nuts at the end. There are so many things that you have to take into account and the revisions just kill you. For me just changing the tense of the text in the first 3 chapters was time consuming, but that was nothing compared to that data analysis and the write up. Hang in there though. Do just what you have to. No one is going to be patting you on the back for every little extra that you do, but they will congratulate you for finishing!

Sorry if I missed anyone. Enjoy your evenings, and thanks for the comments. I always look forward to reading the thread and what everyone has to say.

Just completed Cardio X! Feels good to have done it, but I also feel like a bloated piggy. I have pretty much been giving in to ALL of my menstrual cravings. Probably taking in around 2500 calories per day this week (maybe more). Oh well, not the end of the world, I will get on track with eating.

TRACY -- Hi, it does feel good to make progress. Wow - you are using 22s for some bicep work! That is amazing. I hope you enjoyed Cardio Fusion -- I can't wait to do that one again. I haven't actually done the entire thing yet, but a good chunk of it, then P90X came and the rest is history.

LEA - I don't think I said hi to you earlier -- HI! I hope you are doing well.

Everyone have a great night. Talk to all of you tomorrow!

Hi ladies,
Just checking in again. Went to the Garage Boys Bike Workout tonite. We did a 1 hour Spinerval called Big Gear Strength. Was good, but I like Cardio Coach better. Better music, and I can hear Sean's voice. All I could hear of Coach Troy was 5-4-3-2-1. Guess I'm spoiled. After talking with these other guys, I think I've got my levels up too high as I can never hit the top of a Level 4 effort so I'm going to lower my zones, which will make it easier for me to do the longer Cardio Coach workouts. I'm going to try this and see how it goes. Anyway, it was a good workout with 3 other guys, all of them awesome racers. They've been inviting me for quite some time, but before it just wasn't convenient. They changed the time to right after work so it works out okay. I think I'll try to go next week too. Just got done working DH on shoulders and abs. He's really gaining strength in his shoulders compared to last year. I'm so proud of him. Hopefully tomorrow we can do another short walk with the girls.

Monica, my thoughts are with you as you have your doctor appointment. Praying all will be well. The pancake breakfast today was AWESOME! I've been looking forward to it for about a month. I ate way too much, but it was soooooooooo good! Didn't have anything else to eat all day and still had tons of energy for the Spinerval workout. Back on schedule of clean eating tomorrow for sure. My weighted gloves are 1# and I think that's enough for me for sure. Hope your DH loves the treadmill when you get it and develops lots of confidence. We just want our loved ones to be healthy and feel good. You go girl, on kicking some bootay on B&B today!

Lea, congrats on your last B&B (for a while, anyway). Nice to have it done and bet you have improved immensely since the first time doing it. No, thank you for inspiring and motivating me so much every day. This check in has been a real high point of doing P90X for me.

Sandra, way to go on getting thru on KenpoX today. I'm certain I will have some tough workouts coming up in Phase 3 but knowing that you girls have all been there will help me so much to get thru. Sometimes I put my legs up in the air in the summertime when they feel swollen with fluids, helps a lot. We did "Big Gear Strength" today, 1 hour, also has a section within it where you get off the bike and do lunges. LOL, your DH and mine could have been twins as far as goals. I'm the one who has to be a nag and help put things back on track. My DH is famous for multiple projects around the house going but hardly any of them ever getting finished. I think he has a hard time with closure. I'll show him closure, all right! Just kidding! Actually he and I are real similar in a lot of things so we don't clash too much.

Traci, the pancakes were well worth cheating for in my book. I enjoyed every last bite and I had 4 pretty good sized sourdough pancakes (and trimmings). Yep, I'm trying to keep the workouts short, interesting but effective for him. When the days get longer and warmer, I'm sure we'll be venturing out for some cardio opportunities. So cool about your friend qualifying for Boston! I'm so inspired by people that are older than myself that are still bringing it and in a big way! Doesn't Tony say he doesn't believe in aging... WHATEVER. Said it today in KenpoX. Love it.

Tracy, 22#ers!!!!!!! AWESOME!!! Someday for me I hope. I'm still working on my 15's. I need to wrap an ankle weight or something around my 15's to increase them as the jump to 20 is tough. Spinervals will definitely make him stronger. The one we did tonite had 1-legged drills in a high gear that were tough.

Well ladies, got to hit the hay soon. Have XStretch tomorrow and will enjoy that one. Think I skipped the last 2 times it was scheduled but will definitely do it tomorrow. Think my legs will need it.

Good night,

Jeanette
