Xers ~~~ Tuesday ~~~

Good afternoon Xer gab group- taking a break from…. Well from all sorts of this n that… cramps are pretty outrageous today and head is spinning from yesterdays tragedy…all that is affecting my focus I suppose… I just don’t know how all of you with kids deal with it all.

Anyway… I think I am going to go tomorrow and get 2# wrist weights to take this round of X to next level…. I am not strong enough to make 5# jumps but the 1# wts I used today were still not enough. Seems I am either able to do 20 reps or 6 …. I don’t have the correct DB’s for this level of strength. Just at that awkward stage I guess… like growing your hair longer!

~Swifty::: My breathe is being held in protest of UPS not delivering! Gosh this is like a good movie coming to a climax!

~Katie::: Happy Week 1 graduation! Yep on Kenpo- its all about form, maintaining contraction in abs the entire time and going deep in those horse stances… POWER vs force I call it. Oh don’t dread C&B!!!! You only have to do it 2 more times before you get to change the DVD up for weeks! It’s the only saving grace girl- it just doesn’t get easier for me.

~AMY::: Looks like you might get SOMEONE to purchase bender ball for us… I hope so as I am a bit skeptical and have no use for ineffective ab work. Glad you liked legs & bacl…MEEEEEE too! Do you have Master Series? The Plyo Legs is really a combination of plyo x + Legs from L*B…. a real gem to me. I’m jealous you hav your Tracey’s ! I didn’t order the step but am anxiously awaiting arrival of Sculptfest & Kickfest/HiLo & Core Conditioning

~Wendy:::ROFL- “finish essay”…ROFL This is a 4 part exam and essays are the easiest part… I have completed only 1 part…everything else is semi started. I just have to get mentally right about doing it. I wont be “finding” any skinny attire until ttom is gone- good news is that will be just about 6 days from now! Many people find recovery weeks to be when magic starts to appear… since you are already buff it could be as long as 8 weeks… At least we chubby chicks see it a bit sooner! If you are finding L&B “easier” then I want you going deeper & longer in those damn Sneaky Lunges! There will be BOOTY OUCHIES for you if I gotta come over and coach you in person! (better me than Drill Sargeant Sandra!) How cool about Locks of Love! You are really teaching your kids wonderful lessons in life. LOL on getting less resilient as weeks go by on Plyo X… After recovery week you’ll come back bigger, faster stronger! I’m taking you to Walmart with me from now on! You are one crazy chickie!

~Debra X ::: So are you going in circles with all you have to do? Its been foever since I had a house to sell, pack up and move to another state! What a PROJECT!!!! Need the Xers to come help you pack?

~Jeanette X::: WooHoo & Happy Dancing for DEBT FREE! What an accomplishment!!! We are almost there as well… 12 more months… but then DH wants a new boat! Its always something!!! I just paid off my car a year early this week and am proud as a peacock… GOOD FOR YOU GUYS!!! ROF about chips! We sure know how to sniff out that stuff! Good for you staying in control with portion… name of the game. Your throw sounds just wonderful… I’m a big wine person- I only like the good stuff tho so it can get expensive- good thing I don’t drink often. I love all sorts of things with wine labels, vines glasses etc… If I wasn’t married that would be my décor.

~Lea X::: Whatya mean SUB PlyoX??? You mean after 2 weeks you are sick of landing like a cat? Whats up with that? Don’t fret about personals – we all know you are out there struttin’ your stuff and trying to get picked for XX videos!

~Tracy X:::
That’s terrific that you found a perfect Shiva mix! Write it down quickly!!! VERY interesting about your doc… Good thing you listened to your inner voice. Thanks for reminding me about bike! I may use it as one of my CC days… That might take boredom factor out of riding around the neighbor!

I'm off the puter for a bit! Gotta go dabble in this & that again!

Well, I can certainly tell that Traci is feeling better today! And I have to ask...just what kind of videos are you planning on putting Lea in?!? I had a lovely and ice cream licking time with Eion today...I need to do some of his other stuff...but I love those Magic Hips! For my second yoga this week, I will either do another Eion or may just pop in some Bryan Kest since he is easy on the eyes!

Traci...My dear, lady...You are all certainly welcome to come and watch those wonderful movers pack my home! I graduated to paying someone to move my stuff for me a few years ago...and now I can never go back! I have a lot of stuff...I am sure I could outfit every one's homes very nicely. I would love to have you all up to visit....and I promise to have cocktails available to those who want them...and for those who don't, we have lots of bottled water! Now which, Tracey's did you get...I can't keep up with your buying recently!

Wendy...You have got to try Eion Finn's yoga! Lots of talk about nectar and sweetness and ice cream being licked off your hips and warm hands on your ribs, etc. Please send me some of what you guys are having for dinner...I love spicy chicken..and the desert sounds lovely! And I really cracked up about the lady in the grocery store...Sounds like you gave her a big scare! LOL Don't you just wonder what is wrong with people sometimes?!

Tracy...So glad you didn't listen to the quack!!! So many people would have, though...and that is the scary part! I can tell a difference already by doing yoga twice a week...I am sure as soon as that back heals you will be just like Gumby! I am going to NC the last weekend of April for a house buying trip. There is a lot online in our price range...and I already have a couple that I REALLY like...one has a pool...and if the inside is half as nice as the outside, that will probably be the one...unless another one just jumps out at me. Housing prices are so much cheaper in NC compared to Illinois...We can get the same size house with all of the same amenities for a whole lot less.

Swifty...That darn truck is not there yet?!? LOL about hearing it while in the bathroom! Hopefully you got those camouflage undies up before you went tearing out the front door!

Okay...gotta go for now and try to figure out the cheapest way to get DH's incredibly large vehicle moved to NC....and then gotta make flight arrangements for DH's next trip home!

ta-ta for now!

Back from errandizing! I am tired! DH sprung another stop than I was planning on....picking up a prescription on the other side of townx( ! I really don't mind, but it was during lunch and there's just too much stupid driving around at that time in that part of town and I HATE getting caught up in it!

Swifty- Sending fast UPS vibes to you!!! I know that UPS doesn't usually deliver to my house until between 5-6:30p.

Wow, the last post was at 12:59 pm today. I'm always the late one.

DH is taking a shower now and we're going to watch The Prestige when he gets out. Looking forward to it.

Welcome Jess! This is really the best checkin to help you while you are doing the X. It's a great program and I'm sure you'll see results. Loved looking at your pictures. Your kids are very cute! So is your DH.

Traci, good workout today and kudos for you adding on a bit more weight work. I was always just fried when I got done, couldn't even think about adding any more. So you like good wine? I need to do some more tasting sometime. My dream (think I told you before) is to go to Italy and cycle and drink wine afterwards and eat good food. My mom and I made a couple batches of wine some years ago. I bought her a wine making kit for some Australia shiraz. She didn't make it so I brought it over here to do. I really need to just do it and get it going. Loved making and bottling it with my mom. Let us know how the new Tracey's are. I didn't order any of those (yet). Can't wait to get my Squeeze. Guess I need to go to Walmart and look for a ball too. Do we get a rubber ball like we used in kickball when we were kids?

Amy, I liked Legs & Back when I was doing it too. I like not putting a barbell on my shoulders. There was so much variety to this one and it really moved along. I have one of Tracey's older step DVD's but have only tried it once.

Lea, don't feel bad about not posting. Some days it is tough. Just do what you can. Hope you got the money order I sent you last week.

Debra, thanks so much for the package you sent me! 7 of them! I can't wait to preview some of them. Please PM or email me and tell me what I can send you for the postage. DH saw me opening the package and started to roll his eyes. Oh well, you should see how many screwdriver sets and sockets sets he has. Now that's a real sickness. Tools for guys. And my stuff takes up so much less room. Do you know how much room a rear end differential from a 1969 Dodge takes up? Or flathead Ford motors? When he complains about my stuff, I just throw it back at him. Did you enjoy the nectar and ice cream, or is it the mother's milk? It is nice being debt free. Ooooh, got your eye on some houses already? That will be so exciting!!!

Wendy, I didn't lose any weight doing the X, just some minor inches, but I did definitely get stronger and didn't lose much cardio capacity. Most of my change came in my abs I think. Recovery week was when I really noticed the leanness come back in. Think you lose that puffiness from your muscles sucking up the water. Enjoy that part! You are a lightweight! Wish I weighed that again. When I was doing the X, I didn't do any other cardio, except 2 bike rides a week, one of them was an indoor Cardio Coach for about 30-40 minutes and the other was a more steady state longer group bike ride. That's all the cardio I did during that time. I loved that and learned that my body does better with less cardio (I think). Of course, just when you think you've got it figured, the body figures it up and you have to change up again. Sigh. Re: the triathlon, still don't have a definite commitment for a team yet, but I think it will happen. Training-wise, don't think I'll do anything different than I do now as I ride 3X a week and do hills on one of those days usually. That seems to work well for me to avoid boredom and continually improving. The girl that is putting the team together said that last year there were 400 participants and some pros there. She will be doing the swimming part and she's looking for a runner. She wrote today and said that if she couldn't find another runner, she would do the swim and the run. She's been training for a 1/2 Ironman in Hawaii I think in June. I did ride against her last week in our time trial and I beat her by a few minutes I think. Actually, 2 of my sisters homeschooled all of their kids too. My younger sister is still HS'ing her youngest of 4 (age 13) and my older sister HS'd all 4 of hers to a certain point and then they went on to private and then public schools. Wendy, I never once even tried a pullup during the X. I did all my backwork using the latpulldowns on our Bowflex machine. I think maybe I could do a chinup, but I don't have a bar to try on, nor did I even pursue it. Did I tell you that I'm lazy? I am about some stuff. Your dessert sounds wonderful and different, I was daydreaming about your cheesecake today. Soon, very soon.

Katie, I really liked KenpoX but doing it with weighted gloves kicked it up a step. I liked that there wasn't much impact in these. That's awesome that you are noticing changes in the way your clothes fit already! Changing it up was definitely what I needed too.

Tracy, please share with us what you did from Shiva's matrix that was so good! I'd love to duplicate that if it isn't too long. Thanks for the compliment on the triathlon participation. Actually, a hilly bike course suits me well so I'm kind of getting excited. I too look forward to the days when you can run. You had such awesome workouts out in the great outdoors. It'll come, I know it.

Oh Swifty, he's just got to come tomorrow (crossing fingers & toes)!

Better get out and start the movie, I smell popcorn...

Jeanette

Hi Jeanette..So glad you got your package...Please don't worry about the shipping...it really wasn't anything! I lol about the mother's milk..I forgot about that!!! Hope you enjoy The Prestige...I watched it last week..I will be curious to hear your thoughts on it! And of course, you're husband's hobbies/obsessions are always more important ( and probably more expensive) then your own!

Amy..Sorry those errands took more time than necessary!

okay..getting ready to go to bed...I am doing ...hmmmmm...PUB shoulders, chest and back...with MM add ons...and some sort of abs too...

Hope you all have a good evening!!!
