Starting the day early again as a thunderstorm blew thru at 12:30 so I had to get up and settle the "kids". Storm over by 1:30am but of course when I'm awake thats it for me!

Today is Yoga day! I am very thankful to have a chance to stretch out a bit. I'll do Yoga Zone Beginners to start and Kundalini Chakra Yoga to round it all out. About 90 minutes total.

Debra: Great to see you pop in!!!! Sending good vibes;-)

Lea: You eat all the "good" stuff for me this week! I gotta get rid of ttom bloat and powered donut damage in March - all before next Monday! :p

Jeanette: Guess I got your storms this morning! Could you send them AFTER 4am next time! I have to admit that I have done very few "all toes" push ups since X. I am usually to fatigued from the less than perfect eating & extra cardio sessions to give it my all. I need Tonys push... no one can get me to do these things like Tony.;-) Oh yes I feel ttom cramps and severe fatigue in my legs as well. Actually from lower back all the way down pretty much takes the brunt of symptoms. I think thats why I go easier on cardio- my legs just cant handle all of it. :+ Weebles Wobble:+ Enjoy LowMax!

Caught up with all you other crazy Tony-ites yesterday.... we are missing Stephanie... Where's Steph???

Sure hope someone gets up soon so I have a buddy- its lonely at this hour of the morning!

DH set up laptop last night so I can use dial up at BAY!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEE :D :7 :D :7 :D :7 :D :7 :D :7 :D :7 :D :7

If you dont "see" me Friday morning (we leave Thursday night) ya know I couldnt get thru to Cathe with the dang dial up! I think he's going to leave this laptop with me as my personal bay computer... unless he needs to give it to a new employee I suppose!
WooHoo!!!!!!! Best news of the week!!!!:7 :D :7 :D :7 :D :7

Hi Xers,

Today is upper body something. I'm still on the fence about what I'm doing, but I think that I'm going to focus more on endurance for a while. I may alternate various pushups with a set of weighted exercises for the same body part; tricep pushups then overhead extensions etc. I walked for 1.5 hours yesterday and felt pretty good. I just love me some pushups, you all don't know what you are missing!

The concert was fun. The band is an indie/rock band so it wasn't anything outrageous. The lead singer actually sounded as good in person as he does in recordings, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Traci - I am sorry you are up so early. I know the feeling about the computer. Sometimes I think that it is good to take a break from the electronic stuff. I have to admit, I carried my laptop all the way to FL and was thrilled when I got to the airport and had wireless. It was like visiting with old friends for the first time in 4 days. My hubby is completely computer illiterate, so we pretty much do as we please, even thought sometimes I don't think that he is thrilled about it. Enjoy your yoga. I'm still too tight to do yoga yet, but maybe in a few days.

I'll have to catch up with everyone else later.

Tracy

Hey gang. I have no idea why I am up at 4am this morning. But I guess that is late compared to Miss Traci, you poor thing.

Today is CC and some ab workout. I am taking DS's to Chuck E Cheese's this afternoon to meet up with some friends. It is a mini Las Vegas for the kids. Very insane. I usually need a nap afterwards with all of the lights. But yes, I am eating pizza. Not too clean, but I am really living up to my goal this week of eating just junk. Last night I made nachos for dinner. Does it count that the chips were organic and the cheese was light???? Oh well. MAybe two rounds of CC.

Anywho, off to wake myself up with some coffee. BBL for those personals.

Lea

BTW Traci, that is fantastic moves!!!!! YAY!!!

Good morning,

Today was Lowmax premix 1-4 intervals and then added on the abs and stretch from LIC. May get out with the bike after work for an easy spin for my legs if the weather cooperates. We had rain yesterday, then snow.

Going to call the woodstove guy today as he didn't answer my email yesterday.

Traci, I hear you on no one pushing my to do my pushups like Tony. Sorry about the "kids" keeping you up last night with the storm. I really didn't mean to send it your way. I'll try to do better next time. Hope you enjoy your yoga. By the way, what, basically, is Kundalini yoga? I had cramps early this morning so didn't sleep well. Popped a couple of aspirin when I got up so feel better. They will be gone completely soon. Thankfully, they don't last very long and these this time are probably worse than they have been in the past. But then sometimes I don't get much at all so guess it evens out. What a PITA. So nice that your DH got the computer set up for you. He sounds like a real sweetie pie!!! Even dial-up will be okay, hey, WE don't care how long it takes you to post or download LOL! We miss you on the weekends.

Tracy, glad you enjoyed the concert. I never was a rocker. My dad pretty much protected all of us kids, oh well at least the first 3, from any of that "godd***ed hippie music". Hey, we couldn't even listen to the Beatles. He HATED that hair flying around. Still makes him crazy to this day. My DH is completely computer illiterate too, but that's fine with me. Means I don't have to share. I missed my yoga last Thursday as I was in Reno shopping. Will get it in this Thursday though. Hope you will feel well enough soon to do some.

Lea, I've never been to a Chuck E. Cheese and never been to Vegas either. I would love to just eat junk food all week. My co-workers all bring their lunches back from the Snack Bar at work, lasagne, nachos, steak, it still looks good to me, but the quantities they consume! Floors me! They couldn't last a day on my little spartan meals. Which CC are you doing? They are great, aren't they? I turned another gal on to them yesterday. Can't wait to hear how she likes it.

Got to run,

Jeanette

Good morning Y'all!

Nice day! I'm just having my first cup of coffee, and it's 7am here (9am on the east coast). That means that TraciX has already been awake 7 or 8 hours more than me; is that right? TraciX, I hope you've performed a full day's work already. I'm sure you have.

:7 :* :7 :* :7 :* :7 :* :7 :* :7 :* :7 :* :7 :* :7 :* :7 :* :7 :* :7

Those smilies are for TraciX and the computer by the bay! Woohoo!! You or your techie DH may have already thought of this, but in case not, let me suggest that when you log on with the dial up, you go directly to Cathe's discussion boards, and DON'T go through the cathe.com homepage. That will save you about an hour's worth of webpage and blog downloading. Barry's full body workout didn't live up to your expectations, huh? That's too bad. You're right that I'm not a social mom. Kind of shows through, does it? Your dinner last night sounded yummy!! I made a pumpkin-cauliflower soup yesterday - very good! I got the recipe from Sparkspeople, I believe.

TracyX - Wow, I can't believe your back is still so delicate after you've given it such a long break. I'm sending more healing vibes your way. The concert was fun, huh? I don't know too many sons who would go with their mothers! Tres cool! I'm still doing push up variations on my toes, as I agree with you about how good they are. I thought the routine you posted from the airport was smokin' hard. That sounds like a great workout! I'm supposed to be doing the week where I do 30-45 min cardio a day, and one body part a day. However when I tried to pick the actual workouts, I couldn't decide on which strength series I wanted to use, and which cardios. So, the answer is no, I'm not following the planned rotation this week. I'm not sure why I even bother with making long-term rotations. I obviously can't be trusted to follow them. If Cathe would hurry up with that 4-day cardio/split-weights series, I'd be a very happy camper.

LeaX - LMAO! Not been in jail *as long as* Martha Stewart?? That somehow doesn't surprise me! I'm guessing you got busted for breaking into someone's house and renovating their bathroom. Unauthorized DIY! Have you ever done CardioX? When I was doing the X I found it to be too much of the same thing as the rest of the workouts. I would not be doing it 3-4 times a week on top of the regular workouts. The repetitiveness would do me in. Spring break for your kids, too? Do you have anything planned? I seem to be taking the same eating approach as you this week. This is not good.

DebraX - The way you logged on while DH was at the gas station cracked me up. Are we some secret society that you belong to? Does DH have any idea about this double life you lead?

JeanetteX - LOL about the weebles wobbling! That's very funny. I was planning on doing Strikezone today, but when you mentioned LM last night, I got all excited. I may do that one today, with my medicine ball. I know you plan to do Saffel later this week. Which day? I'm also thinking I might save Saffel for a KenpoX substitute.

LaurieX - Any luck in finding a replacement for DD? That sounds frustrating. Yes, I've filled up the car for the week. My main concern isn't with DD#1, it's with DD#2 having her naps and schedule all turned topsy-turvy. But it's only for a week, right?

Well, I've got stuff to do so I have to say ciao for now! I'm probably going to do LowMax today. My shins and buttocks are more sore today than they were yesterday, so I'll have to play it by ear. Or should I say, by "rear." Have a great day, and a great workout!

SandraX

Morning Xers,

Starting late today, we had a flood in one of our buildings early this morning. 4" of water all over the floor. And of course we have important visitors today.

Will be doing Barrys Legs & Butt plus the cardio.

Here is the decription of the Chest and Abs. This one was instructed by Rich (good looking guy :) )

Warm-Up included running in place, high knees, push-ups (2 count), mountain climbers, mountain climbers with a twist, crunches with knees up, running in place, hop side to side/forward to back/side to side (all the while holding hands in air).

Most of the following exercises where done for 1 min.
Push-Ups
Tricep Push-Ups
Wide Arm Push-Ups
Ab Crunches - Feet in Air
Raised Push-Ups (exactly like in LIC except that they used a 12" step instead of the 4" platform)
Ab Kicks & Bicycles
Chest Press with dumbells 2 count
Ab Crunch - Feet in Air holding 1 weight
Chest Flys with dumbbells
Ab Crunches Knees up Elbows touching knees
One Arm Chest Press (holding the other arm at 90 deg angle while the other arm is pressing)
Ab Crunches with feet on floor
Reach across ab crunches
Slow Chest Press 4 count
Bicycle Abs

The treadmill in this one was the hardest one I have done so far. I still have to review the cardio from last nights. I was just to tired last night to write anything. :)

Sandra, Nope I haven't found a replacment for DD yet.

Have to go back to yesterdays thread to catch up. I will be back.

Laurie

Hi all! I'm back}( . I learned a very very important lesson this morning. DO NOT eat nachos the night before a CC workout. I did CC #4 and by the end, well, it almost wasn't pretty. I also did ARX and was surprised that I didn't lose so much.

Ok, time for those personals}( }( }( }( :

Miss Traci X- How I feel for you getting up so early. No wonder you go to bed at 5. Ok, I just read my last post, and obviously I haven't had my coffee yet. I meant to say that the laptop was terrific news. Jeeze. If I only had a brain:p . I hope that you truly enjoy your yoga today. I just might do that tomorrow to see how out of shape I am on that.

Tracy X - Glad you enjoyed the concert last night. I agree with Sandra that not too many DS's would want their mom to go with them. You must be one cool mom;-) . I for one was very happy that you were able to check in from the airport. I really hope you feel better.

Jeannette X - Wow, you had snow yesterday? It is suppose to rain here today, but so far no sign of it. That's what I love about Southern Cal., when it rains around here, it is the top story on the news channelsx( . LOL on your dad "protecting" you from rock music. I hope that you had a good day at work and hopefully you get your bike ride in. BTW, Kettle Chips. Yummy. At least you eat the chips that don't have too much junk in them. Good luck with the stove guy.

Sandra X - You're not a social mom? You definately seem like more of a social mom than I am. I so need my house time with my kids. Can't do playdates every day. Would drive me nuts. OMG, did you look up my jail records? You caught me:p. I seriously don't think that I am going to do Cardio X all of the time during the doubles rotation. I definately am going to substitute or I will go crazy. Maybe some CC, some Cathe, you know. I am so looking forward to it too. As bad as my eating has been this week, I am actually getting tired of it because I know what it is doing to my bodyx(. We will just have to support each other on the eating next week huh?

Laurie X - Gosh that sounds awful. A flood in your building? UGH!! What a mess. So sorry to hear about that. Good luck on finding a replacement for your DD stillx(.

Debra X - Hello there!! We need you to do another gas station stop....

Steph, Monica.....where are you guys????

Ok, time to take a shower to get the smell off. Yuck!!

Lea

Hello Everyone I'm Back again,

Sandra, Did your DD's partake in the pumpkin/cauliflower soup. And if so, did they like it? My DD's only think pumpkin is for pie, which they love. :9 Well so do I..:9

Traci, I have the same feel about the BBC Full Body. It reminded me a little of Core Syn, simply for the fact that you don't have to use weights. But it includes the plyo and less emphasis on the abs. This might be good if you where going out of town and you where not able to carry any weights around. You still get a good workout. At least that is what I thought. Yipee on the laptop.

Jeanette, Well I'm not going to claim that I'm an expert on Barry's, but I do like them lots. I like the intensity of the plyo in these, and I think they will be great to work into my next P90X rotation. Just because I'm thinking the next round I will want the variation. Then after the P90 rotation using the weight routines to mix it up again.

Lea, Didn't you know secretly I'm Barry in disquise. :D But from the looks of it I may be taller than him. He doesn't look very tall in the DVD. Or the women in the DVD are giants. :) Not that I am super tall at 5'8". Have fun with the spring break. My DD's will be on spring break the week after Easter. They have already started crossing the days off the calander. :7

I previewed Billy Blanks Celebrity Fit Sculpt last night. Finally Billy is back to what he was doing with the Advanced Lives, but with better counting. :) I'm going to enjoy this one.

Well I have to head out to my car, one of my vendors said that it is getting colder out. I left my jacket in the car. x(

Have a great day!

Laurie

Back quickly to say I did LowMax today, holding a 8.8lb medicine ball for blasts 1-6. I lifted it up, down and all around as I was doing the blasts, and you know what? When you do that, you really work your core!! I was planning on doing a stability ball ab workout after the cardio, but my core and shoulders feel toasty enough without it. So, I'll do something with the stability ball tomorrow. LM was great today. My shins are pretty sore, so I needed something without impact, but still worth the time.

Looks like we might be getting a couple of new members next week! Woohoo!

Cheers,
Sandra

Hey, gals! I'm here! It was just such a crazy weekend, and we didn't get back from the gymnastics tournament until late, so we all just basically fell into bed. Yesterday, I spent the day at work, then fixing dinner, finishing laundry, and of course, doing my workout. Last night it was GS Back, Shoulders, and Biceps, followed by LIC abs. I LOVE the GS workout! I really felt it in the back, much more than trying to do assisted pull-ups on the bar. My back, shoulders, and biceps were burning big time last night, but today, no DOMS. I wonder what that's about? Tonight after my class, I'll be doing LIC cardio only. Not sure I'm ready to start another round on Tony, but I'll be here rooting for those who are!

Have great days, Xers!

Steph

Just peeping in on all the Xers this afternoon…. Yet another form of procrastination! I shall begin Yoga at 3…. Drinking MORE coffee to stay awake! :-(

Lets see here….. SANDRA: Can you say PSYCHO? LowMax with 1-2 pound weights I do see… 8# + Medicine Ball is just CRAZY!!!!! I’m worried about you dear!;) Thank you for the idea about logging on to boards directly! DH wouldn’t think of that because he’s never been on Cathe site or any boards for that matter! You saved me some misery for sure. Care to share that yummy Pumpkin Cauliflower Recipe? Sounds absolutely wonderful! I really love soups to help fill me up on cardio days.

TRACY: Whatever workout you come up with will no doubt be awesome. You have a talent you know! I totally agree with the group- You are 1 cool mom! :7

Steph: YEAH! Glad to see you!!!! :7 I think your lack of DOMS is just because you are so darn strong now! Tony is PROUD!!!

Laurie: Great idea about BBC F/B … I can use that one at the bay! Good thinking. Thanks for wonderful details on these workouts. :7 I too am looking forward to using them for a few X subs. Would you mind elaborating on this statement for me please? (Billy Blanks Celebrity Fit Sculpt last night. Finally Billy is back to what he was doing with the Advanced Lives, but with better counting.) Is his pace less frantic than the Circuits I bought? I’d still like a tough Kick to add but not like his circuits. I hope the flood mess got cleaned up ok today!

Oh LEA!! :7 !! I spit out my coffee on the “lesson” about food & workouts! :+ What a total hoot you are!!! I adore Chuck E Cheese! I always go to sleep too! How funny is that! Actually- all you have to do is dim the lights & I’m OUT! Eat pizza for me please!!!! I like mine loaded- even anchovies! :9

Jeanette: I haven’t don’t my Kundalini in ages so if I ever actually get it done today I’ll fill you in on the format. Hope you get that short ride in tonight. I had to laugh about your dad – my parents REALLY tried hard to keep us 3 girls sheltered from the worlds evils but my two older sisters were much smarter than my parents}( . My dad still thinks the internet is part of the devils plan to take over the minds of the world!

DEBRA: When do we get you all to ourselves again? ;)

Well clocks a ticking… maybe if I go change into Yoga attire I’ll find my inspiration.
:7

Hi there!!! DH is off for another errand...so here I am! He heads back to Russia tomorrow evening...and although I will miss him terribly, I will be glad to get back to a normal routine. It's not like when he's here and working..and I have my days to do my stuff...He's here ALL the time and I don't get any time to myself! I feel guilty taking away time from him to do the things I normally do when he's away. Anyhoo...We're doing okay here and having a nice time together and reconnecting as much as you can in a week.

Sorry I don't have time for personals now...but it sounds like everyone has been well. I did get my workout in this morning...I did BM2..the power circuits and the upper body work. I had to skip the abs...but will add those in tomorrow. I was trying to use BM2 as a sort of circuit workout...even though I didn't mix it up quite that way. It felt good to get moving though! I also was out in the backyard this afternoon doing cartwheels with my DD...she is practicing for her gymnastics class...I was better than I thought I would be since it's been about 30 years since I did one! All that upper body strength is coming in handy! Also took the poochy out for a walk...Can you tell the weather has been good here lately?!? Now I just need to get out and get the flower beds cleaned out.

Okay...I'm off for now...I will probably be able to check in tomorrow night after DH goes to the airport. Hope you guys are all well...and I miss you guys!!!!!!

later gators!

Debra

Ok, back from mini Las Vegas. Dang I am tired. The weather is awfully strange here today. It will be bright and sunny for a while then black clouds, rain and wind for about 1/2 hour and then sun again. Hmmm......Anyway, true to my diet I gulped down 4 pieces of pizza. I am so making sure that I look like the Pilsbury Dough Boy and not Traci before round 2.

Time to go spend quality time with DS's.

I do want to give a big shout out and say hi to 6Swans4me if you are lurking around, and to anyone else lurking. Come on in and join us. We don't bite....much:p .

Until later gals.

Lea

Evening ladies,

Started to watch The Departed but DH nor I could get into it. Lots of "F" word than is realistic. DH is bothered by that, maybe if I wasn't in the room it wouldn't be so bad for him. We turned it off. Happy to report that I talked to the woodstove guy and I got it for what I originally thought, except we will travel to the little town and pick it up ourselves. That will be in April. I'm excited as that is the stove that DH liked also. Also, DH bought me a Maytag washer tonite. Mine was about 25 years old and he was tired of working on it.

No bike ride for me after work today. It was cold and breezy, then we had snow flurries. Hard for me to go out in the cold once the weather turns nice. This weekend should be around 70 degrees.

Sandra, I plan on doing my Janis Saffel kickbox workout on Saturday, same day as I used to do KenpoX. Sounds like you did well on Lowmax today with the med ball. Way to go! That sure is a good workout and makes me sweat. You are still sore from your run? I only ran once last year, it was 4 miles without stopping during my half-a**ed triathlon. I was sore all week after that, couldn't do my bike time trial during the week. I'm not always the smartest.

Laurie, sorry about the flooded building. Hope it's all under control. You've got my interest peaked with the Billy workout too! You are one good enabler with your descriptions. Let us know more about Billy!

Lea, good job (I think) on keeping your food down during CC#4. That one is a toughie if I remember. And you tacked on AbX? You animal! No bike ride today...sigh. Wind blowing and cold. Much better idea to go home and make a fire in the house, check the forums, eat dinner. Hopefully tomorrow will be better and I can get that spin in.

Steph, so glad to hear from you!!! I know what you mean about not wanting to start the X again so soon. Right now it's, "I hate it, but I love it". No seriously, I got good results but mentally can't do it again for a while.

Traci, LOL re: the internet being the devil. I know one thing, it's sure a time waster for me. How was the yoga today? Don't think I saw where you posted.

Debra, cartwheels!!! I'd probably break my back if I tried one! You go girl!!! Glad you've had a good time with your DH and reconnected. Must be difficult to be apart so long. How much longer will he be in Russia? It will be nice to be back to your usually scheduled program though.

Got to run ladies,

Jeanette
