X'ers ~~~Thursday~~~

Cathlete
Welcome to the last Thursday in February! Is 2007 moving at a speed beyond belief?

Today is Upper Body.. I am going to stick in Push Pull Upper Mix and see if that pace is any better for me...Will have Master Series Sculpt 5/6 ready to put in just in case I get frustrated again! I am going to be prepared if nothing else!
My booty is sooooooo sore this morning from my Leg MishMosh on Tuesday. Feels like the first time I did X lower workouts}( I know its not from riding bike as the DOMS had started prior to yesterdays ride and its in a different spot than riding hits. (plus the fact the ride was only 20 minutes!)

Caught all but a few of you on yesterdays board .....
Sandra (how ya gonna make me laugh today I wonder) , LEA, (You were on a roll yesterday), Jeanette (cant wait to hear about new job!), Laurie, Monica, Steph.... Gotta go to yesterday to see all my wondeful advise !!:+ Happiest of days to all

TRACY X: So you did Plyo with the weights last night? What was THAT experience like you for? Are you moving very swiftly today? That sounds torturous!!!}( My bike is just the regular old pedal. Its not a fancy schmancy one... I can change out the pedals if I ever decide to get really serious about riding but for now I'm trying to figure out how to use 2 gear shifts???? I tell ya times have changed... My ipod came with no manual and the bike manual is all about tuning up the bike...What happened to HOW TO RIDE A BIKE? HOW TO OPERATE AN IPOD? Are kids today BORN knowing how this stuff works??????:+ :+ :+ Those kinds of things are absolutely the only time I feel old! LOL on the Lecture fiasco! You tell DS that Einstein was actually considered crazy & stupid! OF course depending on DS age he may not know who the heck Einstein was but I bet he can help me figure out my ipod & bike gears!:+ No arrivals yet on DVDs- Presidents Day threw the schedule off... Probably Friday and Monday will be Christmas!

DEBRA: No No No No No No:eek:        This is getting to be too much for me! I go from laughing out loud to feeling really guilty for laughing so hard then to concern that you need to seek some assistance. SERIOUSLY tho- If it were me.... I'd go to DR (orthopod) to have my wrist checked out. I would tell him about every single incident in the past 6 months and get a referral if he feels its necessary to make sure you dont have some kind of balance / inner ear infection. I dont think this is "normal" even under stress. I could be totally off base- On the biking... Wouldnt it be cool of all the Xers got T-shirts and we all got bikes and then this summer we all took road trips ON OUR BIKES to meet up somewhere central????? We'd have to give Sandra a head strat up there in Canada tho! She could start next week!:+

Well- Its time to hit the local cafe....(my kitchen) BBL

Good morning,

Am up early today so thought I'd post as I was bushed last night. First day at new job, Garage Boys Spin Session, home chores, AbX, and moving furniture back into family room left me tired and ready for bed, though I did peek to read how everyone did.

My first day at new job went really well. I'm going to like it very much, totally different environment. This morning my boss and I have a meeting with the Warden of the institution re: one of the programs that I will be helping to set up each month. Have a lot on my plate today, plus I have to leave early to accompany DH for an eye doctor appointment plus some other stuff.

Have Yoga on tap for this morning, maybe a Brian Kest. Looking forward to it as I'm feeling stiff from yesterday's spin session.

Monica, happy to hear you had nice weather, it is pouring outside here now. How was PlyoX?

Sandra, I thought you were totally serious about the 5th week and thought I'd missed it somewhere in the manual. You got me on that one! So glad you were incident free with the towel ripping thing. I've never used a towel because I do lat pulldowns. Way to go with the no-hand bicycles!

Lea, I have to do Masters Sculpt 5-6 yet. It's a goodie, huh? Can you do your own rep count like in P90X? By the way, I'd also love a P90X T-Shirt too! Thanks for starting things moving on this. I finished the family room last night, got to paint the kitchen this weekend and then I'll be done. It's looking good so far. I still have the workout/computer room to paint, though it needs some texturing on the walls first. It needs mucho attention.

Tracy, yep, the new office is very nice. Was cold in there, but I had my handy dandy heater by my feet so was much better. The day flew by, but definitely will have to work on getting the hours changed. I'll have to wait for a while until I see how needed I really am until 4:30.

Debra, LOL re: the barefoot KenpoX and David Carradine! I bet you made lots of those Kung Fu noises too. The spin session went well for me. The fellas have a bike road race this weekend so they took it a little bit easier. I usually leave after a bit more than 60 minutes. Me and that 60 minute thing again. B&B is a good one and I made some good gains too, especially with the back work. My right arm was fatigued from painting the night before so couldn't do as well, but oh well. I think I'm going to pass on the Dreya posters for now LOL! I was tired last night and ran out of time but DH did his own workout, which is a great thing in my book, meaning I didn't have to whip and spur to get him to do it! He's also down on his weight, which is good too. How is the neck and shoulder today? Did you get a massage? I loved my massages when I had them...Sigh... So far, knock on wood, no injuries from P90X. I do try to really warm up good with Tony.

Traci, I'm so jealous you got out your bike! It's pouring outside right now, not sure about the weekend's weather. If you have any questions re: shifting, let me know. Do you have 3 chainrings in the front, or 2? Also, how many gears behind? Good to know that Core Cardio will be a good one. I have so many I want to try. Thanks so much for thinking of me and my new job. I have lots to learn but it will be a great step toward promoting one more time before retirement. I'm traveling (by car or plane) to see Suz (dogs2birds) in Cheyenne Wyoming this summer. We will be doing some bike riding, mtn. and road, knitting and just getting to know each other. We've never met, but have a lot of the same interests. I need to firm up those plans sometime soon before the summer gets filled up. Did you ever see her thread on making whole wheat bread in her breadmaker? It was hilarious, including the picture of the loaf.

Will be back later,

Jeanette

Must get a move on

Hi, back again,

Classic/Phase 3/Week 4/Day 4

Today was yoga and I did Eoin Finn's Power Yoga For Happiness, the Daily Dose of Bliss premix for 40 minutes. Eoin is great and I like that he moves quickly for some of the moves. He also gives lots of form pointers too.

It's sure windy and rainy here. I fear the Tour of California bike race will be miserable for the racers as they go from Seaside, CA south to San Luis Obispo today. I'll have to check the weather channel for that area. Awesome race yesterday to watch on TV. They only show 1 hour, but it was good. Even DH doesn't mind watching any more and he appreciates how hard those guys work.

Have to leave work early today for a medical appt. for DH, then over to a friend's house who has MS. She's had it for years and years (only 52 years old now) and is housebound and wheelchair bound. She asked if my DH could come over and install another support handle in her shower. We're going over to check it out and visit with her. Looking forward to seeing her as it's been too long. Need to grocery shop after work too.

Hi to everyone,

Jeanette

CL/PH3/WEEK4/Day4: YogaX

Anyone here considering going on the road trip this summer?

I'm feeling loopy this morning. It's one of those mornings when I can't wake up. My alarm went off, and I fell back to sleep. Then I dreamt that a bunch of academics from my department (me included) were called in to help some detectives do some spying. I woke up in the middle of that dream, but can't shake the feeling from my cotton brain.

TraciX - ooooh, the pressure to make you laugh! I can't handle that. My humour-button is stuck in the off position, and wrapped in cotton. You're sore, huh? I know that makes you happy :) Funny remark you made yesterday about the lack of drinking so you don't have to sit on the toilet! You'll have to learn how to pee standing up. I'm glad you got out on your bike. Can't have a new toy sitting unused for very long! That would be wrong. Do you all have to wear a helmut in Texas? It's the law here. Push Pull is a terrifically fun workout, but to get a thoroughly toasted feeling you might need to do one of the premixes that takes you through each move 2 or 3 times. No manual with your IPod? Really? DD got one with her IPod Shuffle. I'll bet if you go to their website you'll find all that you need to know. And yes, any person under the age of 20 can program anything in your house. They can probably hook your IPod up to your bike gears, so you have the right cadence to match the music. What's with all the vet talk lately? Are all the kids okay?

Jeanette - It sounds like your first day went very well! I hope you can finagle (sp?) the hours you prefer. Boy you were busy yesterday. You just seem like the Productive Energizer Bunny, on a daily basis. Do ever have days where you just want to lay around and stare at the wall? The freshly painted wall, I should add. How are the grandbabies? I remember you had a thing with one of them last weekend. I look forward to having grandchildren (how weird am I? My kids are still babies!). It was TraciX who first made up Week Five, so throw an egg at her. I saw Suz's thread, but didn't read it. I guess I'll have to do that now. How exciting that you're going to meet up with her! I'd love to do a long bike road trip the way TraciX suggested. Since I'm starting off so high up, I should be able to just coast my way down to the rest of you, right? Maybe I'll bike on down to Cathe's gym, for the big meet up. I've never been to New Joisey.

LeaX - Of course I'm interested in the t-shirt. I got your PM and will answer soon. I'm happy to help in any way I can (since I suggested this in the first place, then handed the ball to you!!).

TracyX - You belong on the HardCore checkin for sure!! That's one tough workout you planned yesterday. You just don't seem to ever get enough, do you? :) The reason we are so brilliant in one area is because all the smarts from the rest of our brains have migrated into that area, leaving the rest of our brain barren of intelligence. That's my excuse, anyway. And remember, I'm the one who thinks painting walls is a magical, mystifying endeavour.

Debra - stop stop stop with all the injuries!! I don't know what to suggest about the wrist, except that if it's still so tender, then yes, you should probably see someone. Take care!

Today is YogaX day. I'll get around to it at some point. Right now it's time to go check on the kids.

Cheers,
Sandra

Morning X'ers,

Classic/PH3/Week12/Day4

Today is YogaX for me and I promise to take it easy, but I'm thinking I will be just fine.

Just have to say, all of you are cracking me up this morning. You have made me LOL twice. The guys are wondering what is fun about my job!!! :D :D

Lea, I would be very interested in a X T-Shirt.

Traci, I have a bike, but this morning I'm not getting on it with the wind gusts we are having. With 50 MPH winds I'd probably still be peddling out my driveway. So when does the bike ride start, because my bike isn't very fancy, so it may take me longer also. Only use it when the DD's want to take a bike ride in the summer.

Sandra, Here is a list of workouts I've bought and haven't used yet.

Bryan Kest Power Yoga Complete Collection
Barry's Bootcamp
CIA 2603 Criss-Cross Cardio
CIA 2605 Cardio-Camp Workout
CIA 2505 Kickbox Bootcamp

And I have preordered CIA 2705 Absolute Kickboxing with Combat Intervals and Tracey Staehle's Cardio Sweatfest. I'm still on the fence with Amy Bento's Kickbox Xtreme. Oh how I wish Cathe would do more KPC type workouts. That one is my all time favorite.

Can you tell I like kickboxing. }(

Have a great day!

Laurie

Ok decision is made... Doing Upper Body from Sculpt 5/6 + Back from L&B since Tony doesnt use pull up bar in MSeries. I want to use my door gym dang-gummit! When I pulled my Log Sheets;-) for PP & compared them to Sculpt 5/6 I was easily pulled back to Tony. More diversity for each muscle group. This is getting to be sickening ... I have the entire Cathe collection and here it all sits....maybe 1 day I'll just wake up and feel like doing her weight work, or maybe for muscle confusion I'll throw in 1 week of Cathe weights every 4-5 weeks.... WHO KNOWS! (do you guys always visualize my head spinning completely around?)

LAURIE: Oh my thats quite a list of unused DVDs!!! LOL - We just gotta have them all dont we? Now I'm going to run off and visualize money growing on my Pine Trees! FUNNY about the wind... If you position yourself just right then you could probably make it to Houston by dinner! Do be careful as you engage all those muscles with Yoga... Keep hands & feet in window at all times!

SANDRA: You made me laugh dont worry! Even when you think you arent being funny YOU ARE! I think its just your sense of humor.... Hope your Yoga is BLISSFUL... take that back.... I hope it works your booty off! You're in last week HOP TO IT!:7 On the road trip... I am leaving options open right now....lots going on in my little world right now and dont know how far in advance I'll be able to schedule something like that. What about you? BTW: Cheryl & Amy are jazzed up trying to make it happen.

JEANETTE: Wa Hoo for YOU on new job! You sound like Ms Executive w/ that office!!! Its a rare find these days not being crammed into a cubicle isnt it? Does that mean you'll be able to sneak on line and talk all day now?}( }( }( ...... Your day sounds very eventful once again! I agree with Sandra... thats just the norm for you I imagine. Sorry about your rain but we all know that northern Ca is beautiful so the rain just brings more beauty right??? Hey- did I ever ask you how close to Vallejo you are? I was born there... Moved south to Santa Ana at age 5, then to Bakersfield, Visalia, Fresno then on to Houston in my early 30's. I have been called a GYPSIE before! I liked it that way. ;-)

Lea: After seeing how cute your new pic (avatar) is I decided to "dress" for my workout today! i'll look so dang cute I may just have to go out and "check the mail" or something!:p

Tracy, Debra, Monica, Steph..... Have a great morning!

Good morning X'ers. No workout for me today. 1. Because I am sore beyond belief and 2. because I stayed up until 11pm last night watching Lost. That is really late for me. Usually I am in bed by 9. Boring, I know. So I will do my yoga on Sunday.

It's looking good that everyone wants shirts. Yay. BBL with those personals.

Lea

Hi ladies..Just stopping in for a quick read and laugh!! You are all in fine form as usual...My massage was wonderful...Neck and shoulder feel MUCH better...My masseuse is the best I've ever gone to!! I was planning on my last PlyoX today..but my cold is worse this morning and I didn't sleep well last night...I kept waking myself up snoring..Nice, hunh?!? Anyway...I will see if I am up to it this afternoon after DD's gymnastic class. I am determined to do that one this week since I hate it so much..I want to be able to do it for the last time!

Couple of quick personals....and I'll bbl for everyone else...

Sandra...I had weird dreams last night too...I'm sure due to all the snoring going on!! Hope you have fun with YogaX today...and be careful of those detectives!

TraciX...Glad you are feeling DOMS today...I know how you like that! Hope you had fun with Tony this morning...I will call a doctor next week if I'm not feeling better...I don't think it's inner ear, since I don't have any dizziness...but who knows...even my masseuse was laughing at me this morning!

Okay..I really have to run...Gotta get DD and go to her class...will bbl for the rest of personals...Thanks for the laughs ladies!

Debra

Hi. I am back for personals.....

Miss Traci X - What? It's the very very last Thursday in February 2007? That means my snowboarding lesson is in a week and a half. Whew, time flies quickly. I just have one word for you: BOOTY. I so know what you mean about the Cathe just sitting there. But I try to incorporate her into my rotations. After all, she was the one that really started to get me into shape AND she is letting us use her forum to discuss other workout alternatives. The guiltx( . Hey, thanks for the compliment on the avatar. I kind of put in as my avatar as a joke. My lovely DH decides to take a pic of me while I am doing core syn. and I think I was doing the plank to chatanooga run. Anyway, I saw the pic and thought to myself "Now there is a butt flying through the air with the greatest of ease" NOT!!!!!:p And I wouldn't have such nice workout clothes if it wasn't for my ma. She just loves to spoil me still and since I am the only kid, I reap all the benefits from it.

Miss Jeanette - What? (I seem to be starting everyone's personals with this question). You were tired? What is up with that Miss Energizer Bunny? You really didn't do that much last night:+ . Right. I am happy that your first day went well. Sounds like a great position for you. BTW, thanks for sending your darn weather my way. It was sooooo nice the last couple of days and now, rain. Bleh! Yes you can keep your own count on Master Scult. I am pretty sore from it. You have a workout/computer room too? And ours need mucho attention too. What a coinkidink. I don't understand why you don't want the Dreya poster? Could it be her moaning? I hope that you had a great yoga session today. Oops and as I scroll down I see that you did. Great. I should check out the Tour of California. You are such a bike enthusiast. That is great! Sorry to hear about your friend though. How rough for her. I sure hope that they find a cure for MS soon as it seems that a lot of people are getting it.

Miss Sandra - Almost there, almost there. YAY!! Your DD got a manual with the Shuffle? Mine didn't come with one, but we did look up the website just today as we had a problem with it. The darn thing :p.
I know why you are all ready looking forward to those grandkids, so you can give them back and not have to keep them. Am I right? LOL. BTW, thanks for responding. I will take your advice and post the info in a little while. Oh, and my kids, I just rent them. I in no way gave birth to them!!:+ Good luck with the yoga and the mega interruptions. MOMMY!!!! WAH!!!!!!!

Miss Laurie - Yay another shirt. And my my, look at all of those workouts. If you happen to not like some of them, I will be more than happy to take them off of your hands. Do you have Cathe's KickMax? I was wondering how that was. I have heard mixed reviews. I have it, but have been afraid to open it.

Miss Tracy X - Good, yet another shirt. Looks like we all want one. About my gains. I had them, and then I got sick and was not able to workout for close to 2 weeks. I lost a lot of muscle along with fat (which I don't mind the fat part). But I am trying to slowly build back up and will do the X again, maybe doubles, don't know, around mid March. Just in time for bikini season. I am very happy with my arms, but my butt is heading down south again. So it looks like I am going to incorporate plyo X, Kenpo X and X Legs into my schedule. Sounds like you are doing very well though. Keep up the great job!!! And Oh my goodness, sorry to hear about the wrong date for the lecture. That must have been very frustrating after riding around like that. That is the time that you definately need a sense of humor.

Miss Debra - For goodness sakes woman. Lay on the couch and don't you move ever again!! Do you happen to be pms'ing or something? I know when my ttom is coming up, I run into walls, bang my head, you know, all that sort of stuff. I am so sorry that you are getting injured. Maybe something is really telling you to slow down. I hope that you do heal quickly. If your wrist doesn't feel better in a few days, I would definately go see someone. Sounds like you have pretty good insurance, so take advantage of it. Miss Debra, you snuck in there before I posted. I am so glad that your massage was good. Lucky. Sorry that you are not feeling well. Now definately sit on that darn couch and don't move a muscle. Not even snoring!! LOL.

Is that it? Am I caught up? Hi to Monica and everybody else.

I will post info later about the shirts, to have you all decide which shirt you like, what you want it to say on the shirt and a logo. All of your input is needed.

Ok, until then, tah tah.

Lea

Ok gals. I need your input on the shirts. Here is the website:

http://www.customink.com/cink/r.jsp?C=44&loc=category

The Cheetahs got the Anvil Dri-Release T-Shirts and really like them. But I need your input on what type of shirt you would like. I personally love tank tops. Oh and what color?

I also need to know what image you would like on the shirts. This website has a lab where you can create and design. I have seen images of downward dog, pushups, lifting weights, etc.

And lastly, what the heck would you like our shirts to say? I don't think that we are able to put P90X on the shirt anywhere, because of copyright infringement. But let's get creative. Personally I really like the X'ers.

Ok, so I will give you say a week (until March 2nd)to help me get creative with this. I will then design it and show it to you to see if you approve. Then we can order and have our fabulous shirts!! How's that?

And of course, any suggestions, critisms, etc. is welcome. So let's get cracking.

Lea

Cranked out Sculpt 5/6 Upper & Back from L&B....
Feels MAAAAAAAA-VA-LOUS!!!!!!!

LEA X: """And of course, any suggestions, critisms, etc. is welcome. So let's get cracking.""" I have one.... You'll look better in your shirt than I'll look in mine! :+ :p I clicked on the link & said OMG! TOO MANY CHOICES! Have I never disclosed to you that I honestly become PARALYZED when given to many choices? Seriously! My worst flaw...OK not my WORST but the only one I'm gonna tell ya about;-) The flip side of my "disease" is that if I am given NO Choices I cannot deal.... I need control !! Hows that for psychotic behavior!!! So I will just say that I love all the ideas that will be flowing... I'll be taking valium to deal with all the choices and in the end whatever is decided I will LOVE LOVE LOVE! - I do love tanks tho to show those X shoulders nicely;) Seiously- Thank you for doing all this and thanks for helping her (& starting us) Sandra.
Snowboarding in 10 days? LOLOLOL I got a sunburn working in yard today! On the "guilt" oh woman I struggle with that one every mention of X! All your posts today had me in stitches! :p :+ :7 Enjoy rest day! but get that booty back in gear first thing tomorrow!

DEBRA: Get rid of that nasty nasty cold! You are gonna be the most admired graduate just based on what you are going thru to get to the finish line! You may indeed be CRAWLING!:+ We all must have had funky nights... I woke myself up talking again (&DH & 3 dogs) by yelling at the top of my lungs...LUKIE STOP IT! (he was eating poop in my dream!) lololololololololol

SANDRA: I missed a few of your AM questions... No bike helmet laws here... If I ever leave the neighborhood I'll have to buckle and get one but I'm so dang claustrophobic I dont know if I'll pass out! I once put on a motorcycle helmet and instantly had a panic attack!!!! LOLOLOL On vet...Lukie just had his follow up visit & toe clip! Thanks for asking ;-) You kinda left out exactly what/who you were spying on.....hmmmmmmm MORE deep dark secrets?}(

Great afternoon to all the awesome X'ers!

Traci X - Why don't you just pick the bright orange girlie running shorts. We can have a Tony Horton saying across the arss. Like, Is it hard, it's suppose to be hard". Then people will have no idea what we are talking about. LOL

Lea

OK, I have to rant for a while......

Traci - You have to wear a bike helmet no matter where you ride! Do you know what a head injury can do to you? I am such a stickler about helmets sinces I work with kids who are disabled. Go invest in a bike helmet, it is a must.Traumatic Brain Injury can be a dibilitating injury. You do not want to be a statistic?

OK now on the my regular post:)

Traci - Legs and then plyo is a great way to shock the muscles. It doesn't take long either. I chose squats, bend leg dead lifts, and plie squats alternated with plyo moves. The reason I think that all of Cathe's tapes are about the same is that the exercises are all the same. I was actually thinking of doing a combo of HST and MM upper body parts. I haven't decided yet, but that has some variety.

BBl, someone just knocked on the door.

Tracy

I'm back after gymnastics...DD's, not mine...I would probably fall off the balance beam and break my leg. I was thinking that I would attempt to workout tonight...but when bringing in the groceries got me winded...I thought I should take it easy this evening. DD has a sleepover at our house tomorrow night, so I will have to workout in the morning for sure tomorrow!

Lea....Thanks for some more laughs, my dear....I love words on my butt-ocks!! And I am glad that yours flies through the air with the greatest of ease!!! LOLOLOL..Okay...I liked the Anvil shirt and the American Girly shirt in the tanks...I LOVE tank tops and live in them all summer(and the winter, too, now that I think about it..I have one on right now!) As far as design goes...I don't have any bright ideas...I think they all fell out of my brain during my recent tumbles...I do like the Xer's being somewhere on the shirt... I like all colors too...If you haven't noticed, I'm not all that picky. And let me just say thanks in advance for organizing this! I was watching "Lost" last night too...that's the great thing about central time...all the shows are over at 10:00!! Enjoy your rest day!

Laurie...Sounds like you have some great workouts to get to once you are done with the X...I LOVE Bryan Kest! I'm surprised you have had the restraint not to try them out yet! Good luck with yoga today.

Jeanette...Glad you enjoyed your yoga session this morning...Hope DH is okay....I am assuming you just have to drive since the doc will blind your DH with eye drops! And have a great visit with your friend. I am sure she appreciates the time you spend with her! I missed yoga last week...and I don't think I'll be able to do it this week either, since I can't think of a yoga session that does not have chatarungas in it....Maybe I'll try some pilates instead...Glad your first day in your new position went well...it sounds like it will be a great new challenge!

Traci...My dog will actually eat bunny poop..I think she thinks it's M&Ms or something...Luckily I din't wake anyone else up with my snoring...just myself.

Okay..I think I'm done for now..I am sure either Tracy, Monica or Steph have snuck in a post...so I'll BBL to check in again!! Have a great evening ladies!

Debra

Hi guys,

Sorry been very busy -- last selling week of the month at work.

So my bloodwork came back normal, no Celiac disease.

I know that this kind of sounds silly, but I was almost hoping that was it so I could just start excluding gluten and feel good all the time. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

So after reading everyone's great experiences I downloaded a Cardio Coach, and give it a try at the gym. It was #6 with Candace. I cannot believe how much more enjoyable my time on the treadmill was. I am usually counting every second, but the time just flew by with Cardio Coach! I didn't do Plyo X because of band practice. I know plyo X probably would have been a better workout, but C'est la vie!

I am planning on Shoulders & Arms today and ARX, but I am feeling very tired. I know that I will probably have to skip workout out tomorrow so I am going to try to push myself to workout tonight. Tomorrow DH and I are taking the afternoon off to finish cleaning up storm debris in the yard.

Everyone have a super day,
Monica;-)

Ok gang. So I have been sitting here pondering what we should put on our darn shirts.....here is an idea and let me know what you think, or what you think would look good on our X'ers shirts.

How about using a Tony Horton saying. We could use any of the following:

1. Miss Traci X's fav - Is it hard, it's suppose to be

2. Do your best and forget the rest

3. No one says this is going to be easy

4. This is the face of a girl who's working hard.

Ok, so these are just ideas and who knows if I have to go through some sort of legal thing with BeachBody.

So let me hear your ideas....

Lea

Hi all,

Today I finished the third week of my month rotation; next week is recovery. I must say that I will not miss doing Gym style tricep / sh/ & biceps. Even with the mix and match by week 3 it was flat out boring. I was able to increase reps and some weights and I felt better than last week. I increased all of my pushups and felt good doing them. Then I did boot camp abs, doing each section twice except the planks. Then I added on a few arx moves to round it out. Then I did the Eion Finn yoga quickie which was 30 minutes. It was just what I needed. I think I’m going to do a few total body circuits next week for my recovery week along with more yoga and try to integrate a couple of days of compound moves with lighter weights, like RTTC, but much more variety. That’s another one that is boring. OK, so maybe I’m not in the best mood. Tony was just so fun! It is hard to find something with that fun factor.

Is there a bike ride sometime soon? I’ll go………

Traci – I hope you know I am just being my motherly self when I talk about the helmet. After watching so much biking, freak accidents can happen in a split second. My hubby is technically illiterate, but I’m pretty good. I think that no one read the directions for tech stuff, that’s why they don’t print directions any more; same with the bike. Luckily my kids maintain my bike so I don’t have to do any of that. I can change a tire! I learned that this year.

Lea – Snowboarding soon? I’m on my soap box again. I hope you where a helmet. DS got a concussion this past weekend snowboarding. Thanks for spearheading the t-shirt thing. I like do your best and forget the rest / the best, but I’m not picky and will go with whatever the group agrees on. They are all good!

Monica – I’m sorry it’s not celiac’s too. What about Crohn’s or irritable bowel syndrome? I want a cardio coach too, but I don’t really have any where to use it right now. I’d like to get an elliptical machine, but I’m going to have to wait.

Debra – Maybe you sprained your wrist. I broke mine several years ago and I think you would know if it was broken. Do you have a wrist brace? That might help support the stretched tendons and ligaments.

Laurie – I’m thinking about the Tracy S. sweat fest too. Looks good and the price is reasonable. Have fun with the yoga, I don’t miss Tony’s yoga, but do enjoy my other yoga.

Sandra – Thanks for the vote of confidence on the smarts. I knew there was some explanation for it. You’ve been feeling loopy, I’ve been feeling just plain old tired this week. You are sooo chipper and you are sooo close to being done. How exciting!

Jeanette – Love Eion and his comments about form. I seem to get so much more out of the practice. We drove to Cheyenne last year (36 hours straight) and hiked up to Medicine Bow Peak. It was so much fun, except we all had a little bit of altitude sickness. They have some giant mosquitoes there. Not sure where we are going this year, but it will definitely be two weeks out west somewhere and maybe a week or so up in New England somewhere. My sons want to continue their quest for being in every state and they are missing some in the northeast.

I’m going to bed. I’ve been so tired this week I could hardly get up.

Hi ladies,
Not much time to post now. I just got done watching the bike race. Also took a much needed nap after getting done with DH's eye dr. appointment and shopping. Glad there were no workouts scheduled for tonite. I'm still tired today and looking forward to hitting the hay in a little bit.

Sandra, sorry, no road trip for me way out here on the west coast. Wyoming will be the only one. Are you thinking of going? I hate it when I fall back to sleep. Oh the strange dreams I have then! Re: laying around and staring at the wall, LOL, today was one of those. About fell asleep in the waiting room while DH was having his exam. I thought about going out to the car to sleep but figured he'd be out soon. Guess my body is needing a recovery week. Yep, it'll all be downhill if you start from up north. Where do you live?

Laurie, enjoy your yoga today. I personally wanted to just stay in bed for a change but couldn't of course. Hope you like Bryan Kest's yoga collection. I wanted something a little easier today so chose Eoin Finn's workout. I do have 2 Tracey Staehle workouts coming - core and step. Looking forward to them.

I've got to get to bed now, see you all tomorrow!

Jeanette

Traci, darn, the Cathe weight workouts aren't doing it for you. I guess I'll just see when I get there. Know the circuits have got to have a place for muscle confusion somewhere. I was thinking of all of you and the Cathe forum today at work. So tempting to get on, but I had a request in for one of our IT people to add something to my computer and they did it remotely (were are on a LAN). Glad she didn't see me with a window open, typing a response to you guys. Yep, they can see what I'm doing, or have open so probably won't risk it (for a while anyways). Yep, going to enjoy this job. My other one was soooo structured and very production-like. Actually, Vallejo is on the west side of Sacramento, and Sacramento is about a 3 1/2 hour drive from here. I'm up in northeastern Califoria, very high desert and tall forests too. We were kind of gypsies growing up, which I did not like. Hard for making friends in school and such when you are moving every 2 years. Re: the bike helmets, no getting around it at all. I'm also a FIRM believer. That's part of what keeps me from riding my bike to work is the helmet hair, but I refuse to not wear one. I fell years ago (1977) and hit my head on the pavement. No concussion, and no helmet as people didn't wear them then. Could have been much, much worse. Please wear a helmet. I bought a snazzy Gyro Pneumo that I really like and it makes me look fast too!

Lea, I'm also in favor of a tank top of the V-neck top with the shorter sleeves. Got to show off the guns. I also like the saying "no one said it would be easy" (or something like that). Something with Xers would be great. I really don't want a white shirt as I worry about staining (yep, I'm a klutz). Thanks so much for pursuing this. Sorry you are so sore, but I guess for us crazies, that's an okay thing. Bet you are really excited about the snowboarding lesson! Have you ever boarded before? Bet you may be a bit sore from that. I'm pleased that I can keep my own count for the Sculpt workout and Miss Traci has forwarded the workout sheets to me so I can track my strength gains. MS is such a terrible disease. My friend got it when she was in her 30's I think. Today she was talking really well, but is sooooo thin. Just skin stretched over the bones. She does have people that come to help her quite a bit and she has a cat that she adores for company. She really enjoyed our visit today. I don't think I'll be doing P90X soon, but maybe later on, who knows? I want to try some other things. Guess there is just so much magic in PlyoX, Legs & Back and KenpoX. I have had DOMS every single Saturday that I woke up.

Debra, I am so pleased your massage was heavenly! I'm going to miss mine, but also looking forward to spending the money on getting my hair highlighted. Dagnabbit on the cold. Take care of it, P90X will still be waiting for you. I've had spells of feeling like I was coming down with something but so far nothing. Your dog sure sounds like a character. We have 2, a German Shorthair and a dachshund. They are characters and are bonded to both my husband and I. They go almost everywhere we do. Maybe I should imagine M&M's as bunny poo when I'm tempted to eat them.

Tracy, I'm definitely in agreement with you on the helmet thing. I used to always wear a helmet when I rode English, but for some reason never wore one when riding western or working cattle. Didn't make sense. A head injury doesn't pay attention to whether you're wearing English or Western riding clothes. I'll have to ask Suz about Medicine Bow Pk. That's great that your son's want to go places. I love vacations. We were going to go to an ATV trail in Utah, but would have had to leave the dogs. We would miss them so, so have decided to do an ATV trip closer to home and take our dogs. DH is much happier with that decision right now. Sounds like you are looking forward to your recovery week. Good workout today. I've just got to get more acquainted with the remote and mixing and matching.

Monica, isn't Cardio Coach the coolest thing going? Before, I couldn't hardly stand to be on my trainer. I have listened to CC#6 with Candace and it seems very challenging. The Spinervals are okay, but I much, much prefer the CC workouts and motivation, music, the whole bit. So glad you've discovered them. Seems like a few of us are tired. I'm blaming it on the fact that my body wants a recovery week, got used to 3 hard weeks and one off. This 4th week is a bit tougher, but we're doing it.
