OMG- NO we did not have THAT kind of FUN for 2 hours!!!! ROFL:p :p :+ :+ Door Gyms, Riding Bikes.... ROFL You guys are BAAAAAAAAAAD!

In 2 hours we had fun, made dinner, ate dinner and were ready for bed! You guys are cracking me up!!! 2 hours?????????? My gosh I dont think THAT will happen in my lifetime!!!!:+ Thanks for making my day start off with a good howl! :+

Debra.... Your V Day sounded AWESOME! Those girls are something! They are creative little devils...The soap was funny enough but the toilet paper??? ROFL!

SANDRA: Pretty PLEEEEASE post the Wedding Video!!! OMG I'd have so much fun with that with! I had half of a half glass of wine last night & was instantly sick to my stomach & had a headache! Clean Eating has destroyed my life! :+

MONICA: Great workout.. Its not always about great gains as I know you know... Pushing play and getting it done is what long term results are about! Good Job!

Jeanette: Thank you for update on dad... I am so happy hospital kept him! In these times it takes something big to make a hospital keep you overnight so he is in the right place! Good thoughts & prayers still coming. So glad you got to get in a CC! Those will help work out alot of stress!

Chest - Abs - 40 minute Step

My body is really tired this week so I'm wondering if its best to hold off on Chest and put it on tomorrow? Is it worth doing if I cant lift very heavy? I'd still do abs & Cardio but not sure what to do about Chest work. Thoughts?
 
Morning X'ers,

Today I'm going to do some stretching. So StretchX is on tap.

I didn't do any of the back work in Legs & Back, just rested my legs during the portions of the back work. Then I ran 3 miles and did ARX. Was a good workout.

I will be going to the podiatrist on Friday to look at my right foot. I have a wart (never had one before this) or callous on my heal and it has been bothering me, so I am getting it taken care of. My P90X rotation may be at an end, we shall see. x(

Traci -- I think it is important to listen to your body. You will probably be much more satisfied with your performance if you wait until you feel strong. Your schedule can be a little bit more flexible now that P90X is over.

Thanks for feedback Monica! I think I will do my cardio & Abs this morning and see how I feel this afternoon... If I feel recovered enough I'll go ahead & do late afternoon weight work.

Good morning gals. Woo hoo, my V-Day was AWESOME. My DH's car broke down and we took care of that all night. I think that it was even better than Traci's;) .

I finished with Gym Style Legs today. While doing the standing leg work I'm thinking, this is it? This is so easy. And then comes the darn floor workx( . I was sweating and hollering at Cathe. It was killer. Guess my legs kind of missed that.

Traci - I know, the gals were being silly last night. Too funny. I understand about the headaches, I had PB&J on rice cake yesterday and got the most unbelievable headache all day. I guess it is good, this clean eating thing. Now we start to understand what we are sensitive too. Have a great cardio and abs session.

Hi all,

Wow! I missed all of the fun last night. My DH would love 2hours on the bike with the door gym added for a little extra fun, but I can honestly say that is never going to happen! Traci you are a better woman than I! It's so funny because my DH just walked in and said, "You are really into this computer stuff, too bad I can't turn you into a sex junkie!" I'm thinking yeah, when He#* freezes over.

Today is cardio and maybe legs. Not sure yet. Legs is usually tomorrow, but since I'm off today it sure would be nice to get it done today. Then there is still abs.


Traci - After my workout yesterday and the struggles, I think I'd wait until tomorrow. If you want to stay on your schedule, maybe you can just do 2 body parts tomorrow. Didn't you get in a bunch of body parts last night?

Sandra - You brought up a good point about the carbs. I'm just watching them because I used to live on carbs and little protien. I am so happy to have gotten rid of that abdominal fat, that I just don't want to get it back. It took 90 days to get rid of it. I really couldn't think last week and attributed it to hormonal fluctuations but it was probably a combination of that and the lack of carbs. I'll have to rethink my diet, yet AGAIN!

Jeanette - I hope they get the right medication etc for your father and he gets everything on the right track. I love PUB, and sometimes did the bicep work first because it just killed me at the end. Same with the abs.

Monica - Do your best and forget the rest. I didn't feel so good yesterday either. I think I'm maxed out on weights for awhile, but who knows. Hopefully we are still building lean muscles mass even if we aren't increasing the weights.

Laurie - Legs -back and treadmill sounds like a great workout. I like combining legs and cardio. I think it gives the legs a great workout. I had a plantar's wort years ago on the side of my heel, maybe that's what you have. I had it removed then it came back and I finally used a home remedy that actually worked.

Good morning,

Classic/Phase 3/Week 3/Day 4

Today was Bryan Kest's Power Yoga - Energize. Good workout, feel more stretched out now and stomach was really growling during the workout.

They are giving a going away pancake breakfast for me at work today - sourdough pancakes, with a fruit compote for topping (besides syrup, jam, etc.,), scrapple (never had it before) and bacon, sausage, juice, etc. Not clean food for sure, but I'll enjoy it and forget the rest. I start my new job in a different department next Wednesday. It'll be a nice change as I've been at this job for over 10 years. Too long!

Will call my Mom and find out how Dad is doing this morning. Hopefully, he is doing well enough to come home today. His colds/flu have a tendency to go into pneumonia very easily. Hate seeing him in the hospital but definitely want the best for him, though Mom gives great care to him.

Traci, you were definitely the big entertainment on this thread yesterday. I was just happy you got the bike, but no, it all got twisted into some kinky, contorted antics. Sounds like it was a Valentines Day to remember. I'd say to give the Chest work a little break until you feel like you can give it your all. And yep, I'd be tired from 2 hour sessions with DH too! You are an amazing woman!

Laurie, sorry about the foot problem. Keep us posted, okay?

Lea, DH's car problem....how did you work on that at night? GS Legs is a toughie for the floor work, but I really liked it with the band. I bet I'll be crying Mommy when I do it again.

Tracy, don't most men wish we were more into sex? I'm just not wired that way, nor do I wish I was. Got to say that as I've aged the desire is less, but not to say it's not as satisfying, just less. Course DH thinks it's practically non-existent, but he exaggerates. Yep, I'm leaner on less carbs but still definitely need them for the energy. Trying to experiment with that still. 2 servings a day (like oatmeal, yams) were too much so I'm back to 1 and have been experiencing plenty of oomph!

LEA X: OH NO on car! Thats just one of lifes curves that throws me into a tizzy! cars & computers.... Thank heavens you & DH are mechanically smart... I have to pay through the nose for that stuff. Couldnt have been fun in the cold tho! Thank heavens marriage happiness is not based on 1 day a year! LOLOL I gotta say that I am pretty impressed that after standing GS Legs you were in fighting form! You guys all have sucjh great leg strength! Funny about the floor work.. TracyX & Sandra & I probably would have blown it off! But of course TRACY X would have done additional standing with 200#s and Sandra would have pulled out KickMax blasts... Jeanette: In all the worry about your dad I totally failed to congratulate you on your new position! Change is due after 10 years- Great job on going for it & moving past comfort zone! So will you still get to see all "the guys" in prison every day??? I know its a hilight for you! On your carbs... Have you experimented with grainy carbs in meals before noon or 3??? That seems to be working OK for me.. I have more am energy without all the bloat. Same with dairy for me...its gotta be before noon. Just a thought. YES the girls got all excited around here thinking 2 hours of FUN! I should have let you all continue to believe that DH & I actually had that kind of stamina ! LOLOL... More like a quickie- preparing dinner, doing dishes, watching the tube! BTW: Even if I could figure out HOW- I would never "waste" a bike ride on a man! :+ Oh YES on men & sex... Mine is convinced that every man on the planet has daily sex except for him!

Sounds like everyone is in a good mood this morning! Except for Laurie and her poor foot! Any hoo...no time for personals now...Got to get to plyoX this morning..Yes, I am actually going to do it this morning...I usually sub with an Imax...but I figure..hey, I only have to do it 2 more times, so I am ready to bring it this morning!

My DD and her friend were still laughing about they're soap antics this morning at school...They just thought they were the funniest things!

Just 2 quick personals and I'l bbl for everyone else....

Jeanette...Just want to say congrats on the new position!!! And hope your dad is feeling better and able to come home today. Please let us know how he is doing and I am keeping you in my thoughts today.

TraciX....Every man thinks that all his friends are having more sex then they are...but when you talk to the friends' wives, they tell another story...Someone must be telling a bit of a fib...and I tend to think it's the men! Don't do chest today if you're feeling pooped...listen to your body...Chest will be there tomorrow...and you'll just be disappointed if you can't do all you want today...And I just had a flash..I actually dreamt last night about getting 17# weights...I'm sure because of your shopping failure the other day!

Okay..I must go so that I can get my workout in, take a shower, and get DD from school and take her to gymnastics...

Hello. Glad to see most of you are doing well. Guess what. I got up this am, walked into the living room and kicked the sh** out of the coffee table leg. So I decided to workout this morning after that. And then took off my shoe and noticed that I have a big black and blue mark on one of my toes and now it is throbbing. UGH!!!!! It better heal quickly I tell you.

Traci X - Oh heavens no, when it comes to cars, there is no way that we are mechanically smart. My DH's car died on the road, so we took the battery to Pep Boys to get the battery charged, which took forever. After that plopped the batter back in and drove to Pep Boys to get the car checked out. So it needed a new alternator. And finally about 8:30ish last night we went back down to pick up the car. So much for making my special dinner last night. But my DH is technically smart on the computers, cause that is what he does for a living. And when I was doing floor work today, all I was dreaming about was that darn coffee. LOL. Tracy is a machine isn't she? BTW, my DH swears that we never have sex. So there you go. Men. They think that they are in their 20's and have all of this stamina. NOT!!

Jeanette - Still hoping that your dad feels better. That must be hard. Congratulations on your new position. Yippee. Didn't you just have a sourdough pancake breakfast at work??? They love to spoil you there don't they? What is scrapple??? Please enjoy your breakfast. Sounds yummy. I was/am really sore from yesterday's workout doing the supersets. It was great!!

Laurie - I hope that the podiatrist can take care of you. I hope that your X rotation isn't at an end, but if it is, it's not the end of the world. Just take care of yourself.

Monica - How is your stomach feeling today? Still having problems?

Debra - LOL on your dd and her friend. Seems like it was a soap day yesterday. My 3 year old son decided he wanted to wash his hands. Which included getting soap all over the bathroom then having it trail out into the living room on the hardwood floor. He also decided that he needed to touch everything in the bathroom like my lotion, hairbrush and I am sure other things with soap all over his hands. URGHx(. I don't think I was laughing like you were. Have a great time doing plyo this am.

Sandra - Where is your mind girl?? You had everyone going last night. It was a riot!! I loved your V-Day dinner. How creative. I so do hope that you post your wedding video with Elvis. Come on:+. I hope that you have a good day.

CL/PH3/WK3/Day4: YogaX

Good morning everyone,

Ahhh, TraciX, you shouldn't have burst my bubble. I enjoy living vicariously through people like you :) (but no, I'm not into porno!!). That wedding video is on VHS, and not uploadable to the computer (thank heavens). Yes, clean eating just ruins us for all the good stuff. I think your plan for the day is a smart one: start with the cardio, then see if the chest situation seems do-able. Don't forget that when you started this rotation, you said you would take breaks when your body asked for them. I personally find it very difficult to judge when my body needs a break, or just a nice long warm up. Some times my best workouts come on days when I have the least amount of energy at the start. I honestly do not know how to tell ahead of time whether I should take a break, or just plug my nose and do it. So, I only ever commit myself to starting a workout. If it continues to feel "not right", then I can quit, no guilt. I don't know that this is the correct approach to "listening to your body", but it's the best I can do.

Laurie - Legs & Back and a run? Your legs will be "thanking" you tomorrow, I'm sure!

LeaX - are you saying you were playing under the hood of DH's car ALL night?? Now there's a man who should thanking his lucky stars! ;) You found GS Legs standing work "easy"? Wow! You have some legs! Those slow lunges at the end are just nasty. And the floooooooorwork (rolling eyes).... what's THAT about?? I still prefer it to PLB floorwork, but not by much. Oooooh, the 3 year old finds the soap, hey? You just have to love the little cooters (more eye rolling). Parenting requires a lot of patience....

TracyX - maybe you don't have to rethink your entire diet again, but just add a smidgen of simple carbs right after your workout? Something like a banana and a cup of milk is a good post-workout snack. Or an apple and a few almonds or peanuts?

Jeanette - I hope you enjoyed your farewell breakfast!!! It sounds absolutely scrumptious! And what is scrapple? Some kind of scrambled egg dish? I don't think I ever congratulated you on your new job. That's very exciting!! I am extremely envious of people who have outside-the-house, predictably scheduled jobs. And get paid for their work :) Too bad the GB owner was sick last night, but it sounds like the CC worked for you really well. I'm going to have to pick up some of Kest's yoga. So many people seem to really like him. Thank heavens your dad is improving. Have a nice visit!

I feel bad today. Very bad. DD#1 is home from school because she woke up 2x overnight, puking. I'm not sure if I feel terrible because a) I ate too much simple carbs at supper; b) I was awake a good chunk of the night cleaning up puke; c) I also have the stomach bug she has (stomach feels rather queasy); d) I have stiff muscled from head to toe due to Mon-Weds' workouts; or e) all of the above. Kind of like my own "Perfect Storm". I'm supposed to do YogaX today. It might be doable. I'm going to start it and see how it goes. I think stretching may be just what the doctor ordered; just not sure if my stomach can handle the more intense portion of that workout. I'll try it and see.

Hi all,

I just finished my cardio mish mosh of Rythmic Step WU & blast challenge, KM blasts, and Ciruit Max cardio only. Yes, I did those blasts and they weren't as bad as I remember. Then I started to do S & H legs, but I modified it a little and added extra sets of the prefaitguing exercises, did 10-15 instead of 8 reps, and deadlifts instead of calf raises. It was good and I'm finally getting back up to close to the weights I was using before I strained and the restrained my back from stupidity.

I've contemplated on keeping a calendar with specific dates on it for DH, so he has a visual to remind him, but that could be to my disadvantage too. He seems to forget so easily. Mine definitely falls into the group who thinks couples have sex everyday and would like to. We've been married for 24 years, you'd think that he'd realize that if it hasn't happened yet, it's not going to. There's not going to be a peak for me. Maybe all that is something a man fabricated too. He's like you workout everyday, why can't you..... everyday??????? Just because......

Off to shower and go buy some food.

Hi,

For those who don't know what Scapple is. It is lots of pork parts finely ground up into a loaf, with various spices and flavorings. It's kind of grey in color and you slice it and then brown it in a pan. I used to eat it when I was a kid. I think that I remember it being fairly high in fat. It was good back when I didn't realize how bad all of that kind of stuff was. Now I wouldn't buy it, and no one here would eat it anyways. Maybe it is more of a southern food. I don't really know.

Everyone seems to be working thru kinks cold & puke!...

Finished some cardio: Amy Bento HiLo Combos (no blasts) + CTX 10*10*10* clocked in about 65 minutes.
Got ab work done from All Step + UML (master Series) and I'm whipped... I will do chest & Shoulders tomorrow- no cardio.
BTW: In UML Tony does variations of ARX moves (only 5 of them) ... I couldnt get thru any of them without modificationsx( Either my bodys more fatigued than I thought or in just 2 weeks I have lost all the gains ARX gave me despite my consistent 20 minute abs 3x a week. UGHHHHHHHH I'm just about ready to start another X rotation at this rate!
Anyway... need to eat & clean up then shall return with personals!

Traci - I definitley think that I have lost strength in my abs in just the what? Three weeks? Not sure what to do. I'm working abs longer and loosing ground.

Cathe's abs are not as effective. I'm thinking of getting the Tracy S. core dvd. Some people have said that it is good. Her abs look good. I may have to work on modifing Cathe's abs to be harder. Is that possible? I don't like having to spend so much time on abs. I hate ab work almost as much as I hate floor work.

Hi all of you crazy ladies....Hope are are all having good days....I did PlyoX today..and I still don't like it...but I did it!! I was saying the whole time tha I hate it..but I still finished it and felt good about my heart rate and recovery time.

TracyX and TraciX....To you all who feel like you have lost ab strength over the past weeks...why do you think that is? If it's just from not doing ARX, then I guess you could just add it into your current rotation more...Or do you think that your cardio has not had as much core focus as Tony? I did KM the other day instead of Kenpo...and I definitely used my core more than I used to when I did it...but still didn't HAVE to have my core engaged to get my heartrate up....I also noticed today while doing my dreaded plyo that I really felt a lot of moves in my core...like the soldier walk thingy...Really felt that in my abs. Also...I still don't think anyone has come up with a great sub for Core Syn. I think ARX has a lot of pilates based moves...just amped up from your typical pilates DVD...Things move much quicker in ARX and are more macho...But you may think about adding some pilates to your routines and see if that helps. Anyway...just some thoughts on the ab question.

Lea...Those crazy kids!!! Hope your toe is feeling better after it's run in with the coffee table...I had a friend who broke his middle tow in 2 places last week. He fell down while he was mopping the floor and hit his foot on the counter....Luckily with all of my recent falls, I haven't broken anything..yet.

Sandra...Hope your tummy is feeling better soon!!! I can understand why you might feel nauseous after the night you had. Hope DD is better too.

OMG I am so excited for you Debra... You overcame alot of obstacles to complete your program...Stand PROUD! Wow you had some really great things to consider about abs! THANK YOU! ... I agree theres no perfect Core Syn sub for me yet.... I also think that Pilates type moves may be a hidden key... I do have Pilates tapes and always feel those in the same places as ARX...hmmmmmmmm YOU ARE SMART! I may just do some Pilates 3 days next week for 20 minutes and see what happens. You should be an investigator!

TRACY X: I had to laugh a bit on the first response to your OPEN FORUM question... I said out loud...uhhhhh BOREDOM - VARIETY ???? Isnt all that important too? Anyway.....Thanks for explaining Scrapple... I can live without that I think! Boy you really worked out hard today! How long did all that take? I guess your strength/stamina is back this week... I've got your body fatigue I'm afraid. ROFL on the "calendar".. I was going to do that last year but decided some months my DH may be right! lol

SANDRA: Sorry for the bubble pop... We gals gotta stick together on this stuff tho.... Nothing I dislike more than an over 40 woman with a blazing libido! lol. Hope your personal "Perfect Storm" is settling a bit. Gosh I hope you didnt catch the flu bug. Dont know if you recall but last 3 weeks of X I felt really over trained and if I had ever been exposed to a germ I have no doubt I would have caught it. I really felt like my immune system had been pushed to the limit... Perhaps its all the bodys energy going to building and repairing muscle growth so intensely for so many weeks. Take care of YOU!

Ok, so crazy me decides to start painting the kitchen today. The walls are done, I just have to do touch up and the trim and the drawers and the cabinets. But I think that I will save that for another day. Time to do my usual errands like laundry and cleaning up this mess of a house. But I needed a break.

Sandra - I hope you and the dd feel better. What an awful feeling. Maybe you should rent "The Illusionist". It IS an awesome movie and I keep begging DH to buy it, but he want is in HD, blah blah blah. Anyway girl, feel better.

Traci - Me, take a break? NEVER!! HA HA HA. (Uh, I think that the paint fumes are getting to me). My toe is doing a little better though. My V-Day was special last night after everything was done. The kids went to bed and we sat and talked and I realized that I did marry my best friend which is a good thing.

Debra - I am glad that you haven't broken anything either. You have enough to worry about!!


Ok, enough procrastinating. Got to go and clean clean clean. Yippeex(
