Xers -------Tantilizing Tuesday....................

Round2/Phase3/Week12/Day5/Legs&Back ARX Complete

Hi! I'm MIA for a day and half and there's a boat loading up with lady xers boarding, in just days, for TonyLand.:) Go for it! I love the X! and encourage all of you to Bring It Back for 2007.

Pluses are:
Entire 13 weeks in of workouts can be done in an area the size of a shoebox
Equipment -dumbbells,towel and a pull bar and chair
Sense of humor

I was smiling ear to ear after viewing my back in the mirror yesterday. I'm darn happy with myself and I feel great.

;) No apologies needed Traci! You're funny. I'd love to go Round3. But not sure it's in program for me.

Wendy- your Blog is so cool. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to miss you.

A friend who loves to take pictures is visiting over Thanksgiving to take my pictures and those of DH too.

I have to go now. Yesterday was my official start of studying for ACE PT certification. Scheduled study time is between 2-4 (1 hour per day). DH and I compare thoughts and notes in the PM. This is real realx( tough for me. I can most anything physical but retaining what I read is nearly impossible.

Mwah!:*

Hello! Sorry to be MIA but the largest Walmart Supercentre in Western Canada just opened up 10 mins from my house and I had to go investigate.

This morning I did the 4DS BootCamp Lower Body Circuit premix. She leaves off the 4th round of leg work in that one, so yes, I tacked it on. For an extra 4 minutes, why leave it out? Yes, Traci, I also don't understand why things certain are left out of premixes.

Thanks for the discussion on why/how to do another round of X. You know, I really do want to do the upper body work, but just not an inflexible rotation for 12 weeks. I need to figure something out. Are we starting on the 26th, then? With Chest & Back? I don't know if I'll be able to bring myself to do ARX even once. We'll see.

Traci, I almost fell off my chair when I read you plan to do 60-90mins of Fluid Power today!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this the right Traci?! I shall have to read on to find out how you did....Okay, I've come back up to say: You did the headstands in that flow?! Awesome!!! Those are tough! I like the Yoga Shakti head stand segment better; much easier :) How did your shoulder take that? And how are you going to accommodate the shoulder for X Round 2?

Carol, Missing remotes is so aggravating. Why don't they at least put a beep on them that can be activated by a button on the tv, so you can locate them by sound? They do that with cordless phones; seems so logical to do it with all remotes.

Debra, So Eion's quotes means all that pain I felt in childbirth was a result of resisting the epidural, is that it? Silly man.

TG, I'm not sure why you ever broke up with Ted in the first place, but reunion appears to be wonderful. Well, lookie here! You're coming out to play on the 26th. We'll get that X beside your name yet!

Jeanette, Step Jam was my first ever Cathe workout, and I looooved it at the time (10 years ago!!). I still enjoy it for the nostalgia factor, and I've always liked the 2nd combo. The first one seems ridiculously long, with all the basic stepping and arm movements. I'm glad she's moved on from that style!

Laurie, Are you serious about finding a job to do from home? Let your imagination wander and tell us the sort of thing you'd like to do. Are you considering doing Round 3 soon?! I like your assessment of what to keep and what to sub. We all seem to be in agreement that the upper weight work is the crux of the program, and the rest can be exchanged.

Wendy, I bookmarked your blog the first time you posted it, and will be checking frequently. I'm sure you'll get a book deal out of it.

Nicole, Very nice Meez background. Enjoy your yoga!

Well jeepers, would you look at that? Ya'll voted and sucked me in. Nasty people. Okay, but I've got to figure something out with my pull up bar. I don't like it. The one I used during Round 1 doesn't fit any of our new basement doors, so I tried using a different one, and it's very uncomfortable for my wrists and hands. There was padding on it when we bought it, but they actually turned and slipped around...how useless is that? I need to put my thinking cap on.

Lea, Good for you for standing firm against these bullies. I've caved to the pressure. Help me.

Amy - Wha? Are you AND DH studying to become personal trainers? Well that's just excellent! And your comment about your back solidified my decision. Right oh. Chest and Back on the 26th. Argh.

Okay, I'm off to make the grocery list for tomorrow morning, while I watch a rerun of King of Queens. I never saw that show the first time it ran, but the reruns crack me up. Are they even making new episodes, or is it done?

Cheers,
Sandra

You ladies are on a roll today!!! Except, our dear, sweet Sandra is missing....I guess off doing spy things for Canada again. Let's see...Got my workout done...I felt really good wile doing it too...except...Have I ever mentioned that I don't like leg work? I know this must come as a surprise to all of you...but I truly don't like it...but by golly, I did it! So I did things from KB is a little different order. I did the warm up, then went to abs (since if I don't do them first, I am pretty fatigued by the end) , then to arm drills, then back to the beginning of the KB drills then arm drills again, then legs (UGH), then to the stretch. It took me about an hour and 20 minutes to complete that way, but I like getting in the arms twice. Next time I will probably do the standing core part twice too....I keep forgetting about it until I am in the middle of it.

Got lots of things done around the house today...CB is bringing over dinner tonight and then we are going for a hike in the mountains after I take DD to school tomorrow. He is going to meet my mom on Sunday. And he is coming to Thanksgiving at my mom's house. Okay...I am bracing for all of the comments now!

Oh...Wait...I see that Sandra has joined us!

~~~~~~~~~personals~~~~~~~~~~~
...Sandra...That was not an Eoin quote...That one was from Traci! I had an emergency C-section...so although it childbirth didn't hurt while it was happening...I had about 2 months of hell after. Does that count?
....Swifty...I am so proud of your for starting your training for certification! How wonderful for you! I can certainly understand if you don't want to jump right back into the X again...Although I am sure your back looks fantastic!
....Traci...Crazy woman...The CB likes how fit I am...He was very impressed when I told him about my workout today...I just know myself well enough that I can't follow that strict of a regime...and I gotta have my yoga time! I need Eoin at least twice a week. Let me add...still don't have my darn meditation CDs...How long is this going to take???
....Teddygirl...I think everyone should do the X at least once...and I admire ANYONE who can do it a second time. I think Jeanette and I will sit this one out. But we will be here to cheer you on in your doubles!!!
....Lea...Got a kick out of thinking of DH in all kinds of contorted positions groaning while the kids run around and show him how easy all those moves are!!!
...Wendy...Maybe fundamentalist is not the right term...Excessively evangelical, may be better. It is the constant asking to go to church that bothers me...after repeated polite declines. I will either take DD to a Universalist Church...mostly to be nice to XDH who is Jewish...or I may start taking her to the Methodist church that I grew up in. I just don't need my neighbors to help in my DD's moral growth. I really have that under control. You are cracking me up about all of those unsaved children and VBS! I always thought it was just a way to have some extra "fellowship" during the summer...LOL! DD wants some Little Pet Shop things too...I sent that list off to some of my friends who were looking for things to get her. Well, at least your Thai friend was easy to shop for! I put your blog on my favorites, so that I will remember to check it out.
...Nicole...Waving as you head back to bed with DH...LOL!
...Laurie...I have CK, but it has never been one of my favorites...I will have to check out the drills at the end so that I can add them on sometimes. Congrats on the new furniture...That is always exciting!! I am glad that Cami did reasonably well at the groomer. My pooch is the groomer's favorite...She has been going since she was just a pup, so she knows the routine and handles it really well....She jumps in the tub for them and on the table so that they don't have to lift her up. And I guess she gives kisses the whole time they are trimming her hair and nails.
...Jeanette...Hope ttom is coming soon so that you can get rid of all the puffies. Glad you had a nice time with the priest during your lesson last night. I know what you mean about the discipline and the X...I think if someone made a rotation just for me, I would still end up changing it due to boredom or something! Good luck with the whole paper trail!
Carol...Sorry to hear about the missing remote...hope it showed up! I cheated on Tony too...It just got to be too much toward the end. The only suggestion I will make about doing the X is do Phase 1 as written...and at least 2 weeks of Phase 2 without subbing...Then if you feel you need the variety, you will understand by then what Tony is aiming for and you can sub appropriately...Just my 2 cents!
Whew! I think I am done...I need to make some dinner for DD...CB is coming over later to bring me Mexican...Yummy!
I'm back!
What is this I hear, another round of X? I think I'm ready for it. Who's going to start on the 26th?
I'm feeling really bloated today. I hadn't eaten anything but a bowl of oatmeal before I went to dinner so I made some bad decisions. I was so stuffed and we ate late and I'm paying for it today}{
Traci-X, Can we handle another round? I was thinking I would try a Lean Rotation this time with some doubles thrown in here and there. I'm anxious to see if clean eating makes even more of a difference. Are you ok with doing yoga only today? I hope so, it's fabulous!! It was nice to have DH gone for a bit but it's much nicer having him home. He just looked so darned cute, it was like dating again:D
Tracy, Did you get home in time? The elliptical will be good if you didn't. Do you watch tv while using it? Which yoga did you do? How is your nephew doing with your FIL? I hope all is well and stress levels are low. I guess that's not possible with the job you have. It sounds like things are rough with your DS's GF. I am not looking forward to the day my boys are with someone I'm not fond of because I will blurt it out for sure:p
Debra, What yoga DVD's did you get? I can't get enough yoga. Thta's the only thing that holds me back from another round of the X. I may do doubles of yoga and that might encourage me to start:) How is CB? I'm sure it will be hard to date many guys at this age and not have them want to marry you. Most guys are looking and when they find a match, that's it. I hope he understands where you are coming from. For now enjoy having someone to hold:)
Teddygirl, Have fun at the health seminar. I bet you'll learn fun stuff and you must share tomorrow. Enjoy the time you have with your sister! Glad you had a romantic evening with Ted, what a sweetie:D
Jeanette, Step Jam, now there's a blast from the past. I gave that DVD up in trade for GS on Video Fitness. I was happy with the trade because I love GS. I'm glad you've been able to get out on the bike a bit before the weather turns. Sounds like you're falling in love with golf;) You must not be too bad. You'll have to have the priest take a picture of you swinging and out it on your PT:)
Wendy, Wow! I didn't realize it was so close to your departure. A week and a half and you'll be off for the adventure of a lifetime. You could always pretend you're on The Amazing Race;) Did you ever see the episode of Have Fork, Will Travel? Look it up on foodtv.com. The picture of the tree just scrams Halloween. My brother would love it! He's a photographer and goes crazy over stuff like that.
Carol, Whata drag:( That's no way to start a day. I know how you feel though. Are you going to do a round of X with the rest of us. The workouts are shorter so it might be right up your alley:)
Laurie, I wish I had a house big enough to rearrange the furniture:) I love doing that kind of stuff but I'm creatively smothered in this tiny house. It's probably better that way, saves me money:) I have a friend that does the same thing with her dog and he just loves the people at the doggy day care. It is a good idea.
Lea, I'm right there with you on sensual yoga with kids around. Maybe in ten years. huh? I do mine when #3 is sleeping, it's much more relaxing that way.
Swifty, I hear rumors of pictures, Yeah!!!:) Yes, I think Traci is recruiting us all to join in on the fun:)
Sandra, We don't have the pleasure of Super Wal Mart's around here. All of the cities have too strict of ordinances and they won't allow it. I would actually like to see a Super Target first, I doubt it will happen though:( I was just getting into the baking mood and it got hot again}{ Oh well, Thanksgiving is coming:D I get to bake rolls and sweet potato casserole. This is my favorite time of year. No ARX for you, huh? I did have nice abs when I did it. Come on, you know you want to join us;)
Ok, I have to go start dinner. Glad I got to pop in and say HI!!
Hi all,
Wow all of this X talk. I've thought about it, but I probably won't do it this time. I'm going to wait and see what the new X+ dvds look like, plus my upper body is big enough. I commented about that to DS as we were on our way to run, and flexed my bicep and he did not disagree. Unflexed they look fine, but flexed.....Plus I wouldn't do the leg work or ARX, so I'd probably only be able to earn 1/2 of an X:) I just thought about it, I've been training pretty heavy for a few weeks, I'm not sure I could take the X without a little recovery first. Oh well, I can cheer everyone else on.
Tonight I had a great run with DS. It was a little muddy and wet, but we kept a great pace for about an hour. Then I did Daily Dose of Bliss. My upper body is fatigued from yesterday's workout and actually a little sore.
Debra - Sorry I contributed to the money spending. I don't think you will regret it. It is a wonderful hip opening sequence. I'd love to go to one of her live classes. Sounds like things are getting a little serious with not boy friend. Sorry I just couldn't help myself from commenting. Of course I wish you all of the best with that!
TG - A romantic evening oooohhh la la! Do you consider that a workout. My DH would, but I sure don't.
Sandra - So you are doing the X? I'll be looking on from afar. I love Walmart, but rarely go unless we are on vacation. The one close to here has the worst parking lot.
Jeanette - I have Step Jam and used to love it, but now I can't stand all of that repetition. Birthdays aren't too important here either. The kids never had big parties. A cake and a few presents is about it. I guess it is all what you get used to.
Laurie - I couldn't stand to be at home all of the time, but I would like to work a 4 day week. Three weekend days would give me just enough time to get everything done, and then some. I can dream can't I? It's always exciting to get new furniture.
Wendy - You are leaving soon. There is always a mad rush around here before we leave on a trip. Do this, do that, and we never get it all done.
Nicole - Thanks for asking about FIL. Things are going pretty good and the nephew is doing OK. I guess they are not watching the salt as much as they should and FIL has some fluid build up. Glad to hear the romance is not gone from your life.
Lea - That talk about sensual yoga reminds me of all of the naked yoga dvds on DeepDiscount. I personally can't imagine doing anything naked and especially not yoga. I guess it must be appealing to someone. I'm glad you are enjoying the yoga. I pushed a little hard yesterday and felt it today, but it's all good.
Swifty - What are you doing after the X?
Carol - Hi!
Tracy
Tracy...If you were the only person who contributed to my spending, I would be in really good shape. The rest of your post really cracked me up...Lea and the naked yoga, TG and the romantic aerobics! Silly woman! I don't know how serious things are with CB...but we are certainly having a good time together, and that is all that is important to me right now. Good you got a run in with DS even if it was muddy...I hope you gave Eoin my best while you were with him.
Nicole...I don't think that CB is looking to get married any time soon. Which is a good thing....I think he just wants to have no responsibility for a while...and I have to say...the only responsibility I want is for myself and DD. I gotta tell you, I don't remember all the yoga dvds I got except for the one that Tracy recommended. I'll have to let you know once they get in...and since I am an Amazon Prime member..they may be here as early as tomorrow! Good luck with the X on the 26th...I'll be cheering for you. And look...DH has only been home a day and you are already bloated!
Okay...CB just called and is on the way with Mexican...How much better can it get???
Debra
Good evening!
Had a busy day at work, but a good one. Spoke with my boss and he went over to Personnel to check on the progress of my promotional paperwork. None yet, but I just submitted it on Thursday. He told me he would keep pushing. I'll hold him to it.
Yep, TTOM started for me right after I got done posting this morning. Gosh I'm so regular. Does that mean that menopause is a ways off for me still? Got a nice walk in today, 20 minutes or so at a nice clip, listening to good 70's soft rock hits, you know Air Supply, Don McClean, Seals & Croft, all the good stuff. Puts me in a good mood :7
*********PERSONALS**********
Wendy, I checked out your blog. Love it! Enjoyed the YouTube song. My mom used to reach into the back seat of the station wagon while driving (5 of us kids back there, no seat belts) and start swinging at us while we were fighting. "If I have to stop this car..." Oh those memories! Did you really not realize that you were traveling on Thanksgiving? I certainly hope you have good weather conditions and no delays. It will be a great trip, one of those full of wonderful memories. Hopefully, not one of those that seems good once it's over, but while you are there, it seems endless and not in a good way. Hop the pumpkin pie was good. I love anything pumpkin. Tillie's eye is just fine, healed beautifully. However, she has a deep, deep empty socket. It's covered with skin and all, just very hollow. She compensates beautifully, though I am very protective about her around other dogs and cats as she's only got one good eye left. That Manx cat yesterday scared her to death and I didn't want it scratching her good eye. We had a mild winter last year so I got to ride almost every Sunday during the winter. If the weather didn't drop below the high 20's, I was out there. I've found a pretty good combination for riding clothes that allows me to be out there for at least an hour. After that, I can't seem to shake the cold.
Nicole, glad you had a nice time with your DH last night. Tell me about the bloat, I'm there. I think you did the right thing trading away Step Jam for a GS workout. For sure. Don't think I'll be repeating that one any time soon. Pictures of my swing? I'll have to wait until I feel more in synch. Yep, that's what's wrong with it, it's just not quite timed right. Getting closer, but not there yet. Pictures are a thought. Oh yeah, I'm going to need to get some golf shoes too. Wendy was right. And some golf pants and tops, and shorts, and a cute visor. She was darned sure right. Sweet potato casserole is usually what I get to make for Thanksgiving. I love it, it's like pudding to me. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday too.
Traci, you could sell ice cubes to an Eskimo! Did you used to work in sales? You've actually got me thinking about the X, though I don't think I'd do the same rotation. I'm thinking the Lean rotation IF I do it, with modifications for other cardio for sure. What do you think? Where is my P90X book?
Anointed, so nice that you get along with your sister. My family gets along well, love spending time with all of them too. LOL re: staring at the date on the calendar. That's how I have to get my mind around something too. You are so like me in that regard!
Swifty! Way to go on your studies. Good that you have a study partner with your DH. I think that's way cool! Can't wait to see your pictures.
Debra, the hiking sounds wonderful tomorrow! What kind of area are you going to be hiking in? Are you guys bringing a blanket too?}( What kind of work does CB do? Enjoy the Mexican food. So he's meeting your mom? Yep, you are in for comments if he comes for Thanksgiving. Glad he likes that you work out. Some guys have insecurity problems with their gals looking good. Sounds like he's not one of them. Bet he wouldn't last long around your place if he had a problem with you doing your workouts. I think maybe the priest will be at work tomorrow. I love talking golf with him. I'll be interested to hear what he thought of his lesson. I loved mine. What a treasure your dog is for the groomers. Our German Shorthair gets in the shower with DH and he shampoos her up, calls me to dry her off. Tillie, however, hates the shower. When she hears it go on with DH in there, she runs and hides. She even hides under the new leather couch. When the water shuts off, out she comes. She is a turd. We call her "Tough Tillie", though she is super timid. Your dog is an absolute love!
Sandra, I've never been in a Super Walmart before. There's been talk of one going in here, but who knows. I'm with you on needing a more varied P90X. Ab Ripper X did incredible things with this belly of mine, though you'd never know it now. Think this was the first time I've done Step Jam. Cracks me up when she says "That's Hot" so many times, or so it seemed. Talk about butt floss. Don't think I'll be visiting this one for a while. Any cardio over about 45 minutes causes my left foot to go numb on the bottom. Think I have some nerves close to the surface on the sole of my foot. Unless the cardio is really interesting, it's drudgery and all I can do to finish. So it was today.... If I do P90X, I'm going to have to clean this workout room up so I can get to the Bowflex for the lat pulldowns as I don't have a pullup bar. What a mess it is in here. Guess that would be one good thing to come out of it.
Lea, LOL re: the grunting from yoga. I remember my DH doing some of Ab Ripper X with me last year. You'd have thought someone was killing him. I couldn't believe a person could moan and groan so much.
Tracy, my upper body is big enough too, yep the belly part. Nice that you got to work out with your son. I'd love to with mine, but he doesn't do that kind of thing. He loves to ride his quad (rock crawling) but I'm a chicken and hate to watch him. I'm hoping to get him out on the golf course with me next year. He used to play a little, in fact the priest borrows his clubs. I'm with you on the Step Jam workout too. Repeat and repeat again.
I can't believe I'm may be going to do the X (modified). Like Anointed, I'm staring at the calendar.
Jeanette
