Morning X Team!

Played tennis last night w/ DH- TONS of fun for both of us. We are going to set Mondays & Wednesdays as "regular" nites so I can alter my cardio accordingly. I was WAAAAY over-cardio'd yesterday... LOL
Other than tight hammies I feel pretty good this morning.

OMG on the DH scare! Thank heavens you 2 are smart enough to have a route that is known! VERY SCARY stuff!!! I believe those incidences are the universe’s way of reminding us to be careful. My BFF says it’s a little nudge & if we don’t pay attention the nudge turns into thumps. I bet you were just ecstatic to find him safe! * On quality time with DH- I am the worst offender. Too many years of being single and never learming to function as a team player I think. I think we have both been surprised the last few days about the amount of laughter we had forgotten in just 6 years …. Just shows me that the saying: “Marriage is a lot of hard work” is so true. LOL on the Wt Loss…. I stopped logging/counting several months back – I am going thru my “its easier to omit starches than log” stage again! At some point Ill go back and log/count calories – I GOTTA do that if I want to stay in fighting form! LOL

LOL on tennis… DH and I are both pretty strong so a lot of our shots appeared to be made by baseball players! LOL * On your rotation…. Are you changing from Upper/Lower because you’ve hit a plateau? I REALLY like your new plan… Its VERY similar to TT Training guidelines and the HIIT is quite effective for me- Will week 2 be different exercises than week 1 or do you keep then the same? May I ask how many exercises for each muscle group you are working? DETAILS! LOL… It looks like a doable- focused strategy my dear! Good Job! …. Will you start after R/T?

Naps MAKE you more productive- That’s my story & I’m sticking to it! Glad you liked Kries yesterday… I really like/benefit from Ellen Barrett for the same reasons. I actually feel MORE stretched out after her Pilates/Yoga w/o than after pure Yoga. AWESOME mish mosh woman!!! So happy I inadvertently was able to motivate you… Was it my *itch comment? ROF You must have a multi DVD player? Of COURSE you do! You have all the cool stuff! Speaking of…. How those rocks doing? LOL

July '07: Day 2: BM2 upper body (Fluid Power: Creative Flow)

Good morning,

In about 10 minutes I will be going to do BM2 upper body weights, and Shiva's Creative Flow. I'm trying not to stress about the lack of cardio I'm doing now, compared to the last 2 months. It's hard, though. I'm not convinced I won't end up gaining weight with this rotation. Two months of the high cardio; endurance weights did shave off a few pounds around the middle, and I don't want them to come back again.

I don't have much time, so I'll see how far I can get with personals.

TracyX - It's nice to see you checking in from the road. Congrats to DS for his ride!!! I hope he wasn't seriously hurt from the crash??

TraciX - Cooool. Tennis 2 nights a week with DH sounds like fun. Thanks for the TWO posts yesterday :) I checked out a couple of the the cake sites. Amazing. I aspire to be able to do something like that one day. Give me a couple more week, okay? ;) 6 rest days in one month doesn't seem like that much. I did take 2 complete rest days in July, and 2 more that were just yoga. I was just following Cathe's rotation, with yoga added in where possible. If I only worked out when I was in the mood, I'd have a lot more rest days, because I rarely "feel like" exercising, or getting out of bed! I just do it 'cause I know I will be much happier if I do. Thanks for the link to Tony's blog! Did you enjoy Step Fit, btw?

Anointed - oooooh, I can't stand a hangover. I hope you're chipper again today.

JeanetteX - I've only ever done one of the CM premixes. I don't use that dvd much, as it seems her other workouts have enough core work with them. I imagine a rotation that used all those segments and premixes would do great things to the core. You might like the July '07 rotation: all premixes, between 35-45 minute workouts. How's the new crown, Princess?

LaurieXX - Good on you for plugging away with the rotation, even though Life keeps getting in the way. I like the KM LI premix. Are your legs feeling it from the LCD?

DebraX - Are you feeling better today? No, no plans for September, except maybe to make some progress on my thesis. I'm waiting for my supervisor to get back to me, and he's dragging his feet. It's time to light a fire under him. What a creative way to use IMAX2/CW! Brilliant!

Cheryl - nice workout yesterday. I love PP. Not sure who you were talking to, but I wasn't the one asking about the RT. I'm sure you're more than ready, however! And it will no doubt inspire you to take things up a notch on your return.

NicoleX - ooooh, the incident with DH would have been nerve-wracking. I sometimes get worried about DH when he's out riding, too. They're so vulnerable on their bikes. I'm glad he's all right!

Amy - Cheers! Nice rotation. I'm sure you'll see great results!

Bad news, I have a freaking tooth achex( :-( and its in control of me life, right now }( lol

Seriously tho, Full Blown TOOTH ACHE, wisdom tooth, not nice. It started last night, I’d rather have another baby than a tooth ache. I’m calling my dentist soon as they open. I wanted to stay home this morning but I have to cover for co worker.

Any, who, not sure if a workout is in order today, don’t want to do much of anything until I see Dr. Dentist:eek: I am afraid to eat or drink anything, taking chances now with coffee, I'll be back.

Good morning ladies....Just a couple of quick personals as I have a lot of errands to run this morning.

Traci...No, it was not the expletive you used to describe me (LOL) but you said..."you're just that kind of Xer" and you were just so sure that I would actually workout...Glad you had fun with DH last night. Tennis will be great cross training...with the added bonus of being with DH...I hope he keeps his clothes on for the tennis date!!LOL No...I only have a regular dvd..but they're on the same one which made it easy...I was thinking as I was mish moshing that I should have a multiple player so that I could mix more to keep the boredom a bay. Rocks are tumbling along...We could have taken them out yesterday...but I ran out of time...so this afternoon for sure..then we start process 2. Good golly!

Sandra..Get that dissertation done woman! It must be bothersome to be waiting on someone else to get that done. Have fun with BM2 today. And Shiva, of course. I hope that you just gain muscle mass with your rotation...maybe just the shock to your body after so much cardio will keep the weight from coming back. I forgot to ask...how did anniversary night go without the kids?!? Hope you and DH had a good time.

TG...Good luck with that tooth...That is the worst!!!

Good morning,
Today was BM2 Cardio Blast premix (62 minutes). Yesterday, had a crown put on a tooth, grocery shopped, and then finished grouting another wall. Tonite is a haircut and highlights, then home to finish the grouting.

Laurie, LOL re: your DH using the "F" word. My DH would have to be really mad to ever use that word. In fact, I've never heard him say it. So nice for you to hear the "I love you". Sounds like he was relieved to say his piece. I can understand about your DD being anxious going to such a large school. After the first week, it'll probably be a piece of cake for her and she'll wonder what she worried about.

Debra, your DD has many, many years to enjoy horses, if she so chooses. She's pretty young. Sometimes it's nice to let them grow up so they can appreciate all the work that goes along with the riding, the feeding, doctoring, cleaning, etc. Debra, the pilates sounds good. Been ages since I've done any. I only own a Winsor one that I bought when I first started working out and it's pretty easy. Can't wait to see pics of your house!

Cheryl, hope RS was nice. I like doing that one and it's been a while. Yes, we want to hear about the roadtrip. PP is a good one!

Nicole, so sorry about the scare with your DH. Reminds me that I need to take my cell phone with me more often. I know, my DH worries about me, but tries not to say too much. We don't have much traffic around here so that's good. I also ride with a mirror attached to my glasses. I've noticed more of the "racer" guys wearing mirrors too. It only makes sense to me. I wouldn't drive my car without knowing what was coming up behind me, why would I not use one on the bike? If you can't tell, I'm big on the mirror. Yep, this rotation is good. Wow, cardio only yesterday and today. I kept thinking maybe there would be some weights today. I'm pleased with how the Tour ended too. I miss watching. I too am regular about the exercise but not so good lately at the eating. My downfall are the chips that DH buys. I'm trying to be better this week. Want to get that lean feeling again.

Amy, way to go on really thinking about your rotation. It's been a while since I've sat down and done it.

Tracy, good workout for you. Hope your DS is okay after coming off the bike.

Traci, so happy that you had fun with DH playing tennis yesterday. I will be playing golf on Thursday night with the friend that I hit balls with last week. His wife and my DH will also be coming along to watch. Will be about like watching cement dry I'm sure. So true that we need to make the time with our spouses. I'm already looking forward to going out again this weekend on the Rhino. As soon as the woods open up for woodcutting, we'll be doing that. Now that is NOT one of my favorite activities, but it is necessary.

Sandra, I'll have to check out the shorter premix rotation too. I'm liking this one, has more cardio in it than I'm used to so we'll see if it shocks my system. I haven't used Coremax that much either. I don't like the corkscrew move or the rocket shoots or whatever they call them. This rotation has made me dust off Kickmax, which I've not done much of before. Crossing my fingers that this rotation is good for you.

Teddygirl, sorry about the toothache. Hope you can get into the dentist ASAP. I hate those kinds of things. Had a crown put on yesterday and it feels pretty good today. Of course, I've got a copper colored temporary crown on now. White one will be put on in a few weeks. Hope you get some relief girl!

Now my lower is good & fried I absolutely MUST do some wonderfully LONG yoga to stretch myself out- BUT FIRST... Gotta hit Academy for DH.

Rotation: Cathe's July '07
Workout: Week 2/Day 4/MM Upper Body Premix and Volleyball

Today I have a hair appointment after work to get a cut and color. Then right after that is volleyball, so the workout will probably be later tonight. We will see how it goes. If it continues to be muggy then my energy will be low.

Nicole, What a scare you must have had. Can't even imaging what you went through while doing that search.

Sandra, How did you know my butt was going to be sore from doing the drills in KM? I haven't done that drill segment in a long time. As I was doing the straight leg circles (and dying), I realized that I would have some DOMS the next day. Have to get this workout in more often.

Annointed, I feel for you on the wisdom tooth pain. I went through that for one of mine about two years ago. It was the happiest day for me when the dentist pulled that tooth out. I am a big chicken when it comes to my mouth. But my dentist is a great guy, and knows that my mouth needs to be super numb before anything is done. Hope you can get in soon.

Jeanette, Hope you are right on the DD and school. I have told her that, but of course she is a worry wart. :) The freshman go to school the first day, so they can move from class to class. The next day is everyone.

Traci, Sounds like a great time was had by both you and your DH while playing tennis.

Debra, Oh you bet there is a lot of drama behind scene. I don't understand why these people need this much drama. But then most times with actors it's all about themselves. That is why I don't claim to be a actress! :) The current rotation that I am doing has cardio & weights. I haven't done this one in a while, but have always enjoyed this workout. The step portion in this was one of my fav. Probably because it wasn't too complicated.

Amy, Great rotation you have there.

Wendy, I'm so glad you are able to get on the RT list. And I'm going to be really upset if we don't get to hear every small detail. :D

Ooooooh, Traci, what a great workout and I'm jealous you got the B&G Floorwork in... I wanted to get B&G in this morning, but no time. Ran 60 min. with partner and that will have to do it for today.

Teddygirl, bummer on the all-out toothache. Not good! Can you get to the dentist?

No, I haven't packed for the RT yet. But I'm thinking about it }( }(

I'm starting to get REALLY excited. Can't wait!

Thanks for the comments on the rotation. Traci- Week 2 upper body exercises are different than week 1. LOL on the tennis. I am glad that you had fun with it!!!

TG- I hope that your tooth is okay. I'm glad that you were able to get in to see the dentist today!

Off to work legs, no floorwork! I HATE floorwork!!!....DH has a doctor's appt this afternoon as well.
 
Amy: Yep, progress fast thanks to Cathe. I tell you, I am really enjoying these workouts. After so long, keeping him on shelf, but my mind wasn’t ready, I couldn’t let go of Cathe "FOR NOTHING" me growing in that area:7 enjoy your day :)

TraceX: Awesome workout, your legs should be fried ;) me jealous :p nice work. I hope when tooth business is over I can push out Shoulders & Arms, who knows.

My tooth stopped hurting but mr tooth can’t fool me, you’re coming out! I ate a bowl of oatmeal & few egg whites, I’m good. Lunch time approaching :9 either spinach salad or turkey burger.

I had a nice run yesterday with DS and then finished the day with some yoga. Today is legs and yoga.

Annointed - Sorry about the tooth ache. I cracked a wisdom tooth last fall and had all 4 pulled. Ughh.....

Nicole - Our joke the last two weekends has been, "Second is first loser!" DH was very competitive about baseball, it's probably one of the reasons why neither DS plays. It can really backfire and make life unpleasant.

Sandra - How is the dissertation coming? I haven't heard you comment about it recently. Maybe the lack of cardio will be a shock. I almost always loose weight on vacation, and the cardio and workouts are minimal. I do think part of it is the lack of snacking:)No DS wasn't seriously hurt, but rattled enough that it probably cost him some time.

Laurie - I need to get my hair done, I'm waiting another couple of weeks.

Cheryl - Nothing beats a good run. I did find out last night that I can't sprint as fast as an 18 year old, but I guess that really is no surprise.

Traci - Another creative leg workout. I'm sticking with S&H legs, but I may add something else first to prefatigue the muscles, I haven't decided yet, but I will in just a few minutes.

Jeanette - I see you are back on a regular schedule. Do you have another long ride scheduled soon? Have you ever been or are you near Feather Falls?

Debra - Enjoy the errands. I did one myself; Costco.

Hope you whipped out your lovely w/o this morning and find your faith in your rotation! I have no doubt that if you go with your plan you will be joyfully surprised at end of month… If anything you will probably REALLY watch your already clean diet and give your body a chance to heal/repair from all your hard cardio. * I did enjoy Step Fit but find my mind wandering on the older stuff… not sure why- maybe its old sound quality? I cant crank it loud like usual. Maybe it’s the attire? Who knows… * On the cakes- I’ll give ya til late December- Then we gotta get you started on DH’s Red Fish cake! LOL

TraciX - NOT FAIR!!! You're supposed to wait for me! I'm in the throws of PMS big time, desperately wishing it would just get here already! I had my hormone crash yesterday, and today's not looking much better. The Creative Flow yoga was lovely today, and nice for a day when I did not want to Do Strenuous.

Okay, I have to get back to work. BB in a bit to chat more. How come I have more time to chat online when I'm working, then when I'm being a full-time mom??

Hi...just wanted to stop by and say hello...I ended up doing PP legs twice plus SS legs twice plus all the abs/core from both. How many squats did I do??? Only heaven knows! I may have an issue with going to the potty tomorrow.

No time for personals now...I have got to get busy with the laundry...Got my other errands done, though, which left me with a large feeling of accomplishment! I have a friend coming over later for a couple of cocktails, so you guys will understand if I don't make it back this evening...and if I do...no telling what I'll say!

Have a wonderful night ladies! Just to let everyone know, I have gotten so used to hearing the rock tumbler, I noticed when it stopped.

Hi all,

Debra - I think that PP and SS are two great leg workouts. I dusted them off not too long ago.

Sandra - I used to have lots more time at work to be on the computer. Next year won't be that way though. I'm going to have to work.

S&H legs is done and then an hour of Fluid Power. That dvd really helps to open my hips nicely. S&H legs didn't feel like much. I couldn't go as heavy as I needed to (well I was scared to). I've been doing more endurance for legs, which is great, but I eventually want to get back to squatting more weight. Maybe S&H legs will help me do that. Any suggestions? The new series will probably help...

May 07' Premix Rotation

BM2 "Cardio Blast" Premix (62 min)

This is a really fun premix but it's tough! I was in the middle of the second blast which is near the end and a friend of my DH's stopped by to give him something. He wasn't home so I had to answer the door all sweaty. I've never met this co-worker so I was a little embarassed. Oh well, at least it was from exercising:)
We went to the beach this afternoon and DH is sitting in here right now so I must make this quick. Thanks for all of the concern for DH. I'm glad he's safe:)
Tomorrow is a big legs and glutes day! I'm kind of dreading it because I hate working just my legsx(
I hope to do personals tomorrow while DH is exercising:) Today is our 9th anniversary so we are off to dinner:D

Hello there fitness buddies! Just back for a couple of personals.

Nicole...I always seem to get phone calls when I am working out...so I answer all out of breath...I am sure everyone wonders what I am really doing! Have fun on your anniversary. Congratulations!

Tracy....I was thinking about wanting to lift heavier weights...and maybe PLB is a way to do that since it goes up gradually. You can always do just the up side if you want. Just a thought! SH legs is not may fave either.

Traci...Sorry ttom hits you so hard...Once it gets going for me, I'm in the clear! You should see how smooth DD's rocks are...now they are in the tumbler for another 4 days...We have to check on them every day, though. I'm not sure why, however. If I was a RT I would be packed already. I'm a bit of a planner!

TG...Hope the visit to the dentist went well. That is never fun for me!

Amy...I will do all of your leg floor work, if you will do all of my standing leg work!!

Cheryl...Do you hear a chant in the air?? RT, RT, RT!!

Laurie..CW was one of the first of Cathe's harder workouts that I mastered...and I remember telling my DH that I hung with Cathe when I finally didit all the way through! Hope you guys won your volleyball match. I am sure your new hairdo dazzled the other team into submission. Humidity always makes me want to workout less. MM is a goodie though.

Jeanette...Sounds like you had a busy day yesterday. And then BM2 this morning...What a woman you are! I am still debating about DD and the horseback riding....I just don't want to start her too soon and her have some bad experience and not want to do it any more. You should definitely get some more pilates...I think it's great on those days where you don't really want to have a super hard workout...but you want to get moving. I have never done Windsor...so I can't compare. I hope we get some pictures of the new tiling project when it's done.

Wendy...Where is that new computer????
