""X'ers - ***SUNDAY***"

Morning Xers,

Today I did XStretch. I have to run, have to get myself to church to sing today. :) Then it is off to a monthly workshop for our Guilde. I don't know how weekends get so busy.

Didn't get back to the thread yesterday, it was the most beautiful day. Couldn't keep ourselves from heading outside. Shot some hoops, and I need a new basketball.:) Think I will get a leather one.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone. How is it going today? Yesterday as I said I did BM2, and I am sore, so I am going to lay off today. Tomorrow I will start doing a little more cardio as the X rotation is the week after that. YAY!!! I really need to get back in shape. I totally have lost myself the past couple of weeks.

Took the boys to the arts and crafts store yesterday so we have projects to do while my older DS is on spring break. And we saw Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles on Friday. It was kind of neat. Very much like a video game. Maybe the week after next I will start to paint again. We will see.

Ok, that is about it for now. Talk to you all later.

Good morning!

It looks like we're all very busy this weekend. The gorgeous weather doesn't help! I spent a good chunk of yesterday outdoors with the kids, too.

Yesterday I ended up doing Low Impact Circuit, as produced. That's it. So nice!! I really enjoyed myself.

Today I'm going to head out for my first run of the season. I'll try for a nice steady state 30 mins. Then I plan to head down to the basement and do Butts 'n Guts. Not sure if I'll do the floorwork, or skip it. I also like the looks of the LegBlast premix, but whether I do that will depend on how my legs feel after the run. I fully plan on doing the weighted core work, regardless of whatever else I end up doing.

LeaX - I'm glad to have some company this weekend! It's so quiet around here. LeaX, you're probably not in as bad a condition as you feel. How are the various bodily injuries healing?

LaurieX - Sing loud and proud! Can I get a Hallelujah?

Cheers,
Sandra

RE:

Sandra X - Looks like good weather all around. Have a great run. Enjoy it!!! Sounds great. Maybe I will do CC tomorrow and wake the whole household up(treadmill and my pounding feet kind of loud). Jealous you are doing B&G thoughx( . Really really want that one. My buttocks needs some lifting. And yes, I am really getting into that bad of shape. With several weeks of injuries, that dern cat, kids, you know. I just think that I am trying to get as out of shape as possible, so when I finish the 90 day X, I will look gawgeous!!! Moan;-). My elbow is doing all right, thanks for asking. Still have to be careful with it and will probably have to modify some of the pushups when X starts again. Knee thank goodness is doing great. Enjoy your good weather Sandra and I am glad that some us stuck around this weekend so we don't feel left out and lonely too.

RE:

Hi again!

I'm back to say my workout for the day is finished, and I'm so happy about it! What a great workout! I did a 30 min ss run, and didn't feel any loss of conditioning since the last time I ran last September. NICE! I love it that I can maintain that level of conditioning by doing indoor workout videos (Cathe!).

And now. If you have not tried Butts 'n Guts Leg Blast premix, you MUST!!!! OMG that is an awesome workout! I can't believe how much "fun" I had, while spending so much damn time under tension. I adore this workout. Firewalkers twice, that lunge/squat sequence done three (or was it four?) times, the leg presses twice, the single leg squats twice, the walking lunges three times....it goes on. An on. Thank heavens, so does my heart :) I would say this is probably a "freestyle" workout, as the weights, when used, were very light, no barbell in sight, the reps were high, and many of the moves have a cardio factor to them. I would say this is a perfect (though harder) substitute for P90X Legs & Back. The only thing it's missing are wall squats, which I think are a dynamite, effective exercise.

Then I did the weighted core work. Phew. My lower body is toasted today. Tomorrow will be upper body; I may do Amy Bento's 3-day split from her All-Pump Extreme workout this week. Depending on how my legs feel tomorrow, I may or may not do some light cardio. Yoga would probably be nice. I can already feel the hollows of my buttocks starting to cry. And yes, I called for "Mommy!" more than once today!

JeanetteX - where are you? Still pedalling?

LeaX - I love your attitude! Yes, you are setting yourself up perfectly to see great gains at the end of the next X rotation :) Today's run in the sunshine was so wonderful I'm looking forward to doing it again soon. It will probably have to be next weekend, though, as I don't have childcare during the week, unless I want to run in the dark at 5:30am, which I don't. The temperature this morning was hovering at the freezing mark, which is a nice temp for running, I find. I had fun crashing through the thin ice on top of the shallow puddles. Crunch crunch crunch!!!!

TraciX - Are you home yet?

TracyX - Are you home yet?

DebraX - I hope you're having LOTS of fun with your family!

MonicaX and StephanieX - I hope you check in soon! We haven't heard from you in a few days.

LaurieX - Just giving you a shout out! I found Barry's Bootcamp website last night. I doubt I'll be ordering it any time soon, but I have to say I love, love, love the idea of the total body workout that uses only bodyweight! What's that one like? What are the cardios like on the dvds that are not treadmill workouts?

Have a great day,
Sandra

RE:

Do you mean DrillMax? BM2 doesn't have wall squats. It's got everything else! Are you still feeling it? That's a deceptively intense workout, especially if you're using the 8" step!

RE:

Sandra X - Oh duhx( . Told you I was a loser. YES!!!! Drillmax with the ball wall squats. OUCHIE. And yes, still feeling BM2. Love, love love it!..

RE:

Hi Guys,

I'm sitting in the airport in Orlando, FL. Decided to bring my laptop just in case and I'm glad I did. Obviously there is free internet, so I can pass the 2 hour wait by doing something constructive.

I have my new "on the road" upper body workout. It consists of 3X20 each regular pushups, tricep pushups, decline pushups, and diamond pushups plus 40 dips. It is easy to to on the road and targets almost all of the upper body parts. I did that twice and then I've only managed to walk since I've been here. I am starting to feel better, but my glute muscle is so tight in the morning that I may have to break down and go to the doctor. I'm going to give it one or two more days.

I've been doing quite a bit of shopping with my Mom. Either clothes are sized smaller or I've lost inches. For pants, I was able to wear some zeros and 26 in jeans and I have to say, before I started the X I wore a 4 and was no where close to anything smaller. I weighed 115 with my clothes on when I was at the dr a week or so ago. I have to have more muscle because there was a time in my life when I weighed about 100, many years ago. Thank goodness we wear clothes because those dressing room mirrors really show every lump and buldge that one has. It is rather depressing.

Sandra - Glad the run was pleasant and you were right where you left off. I love the leg blast premix and that will be one of the first leg workouts I add back in once my back is better.

Lea - I know the feeling of feeling out of shape. This Tuesday will be 2 weeks since I've done anything reasonable for my lower body and I can tell. Muscle requires constant maintenance. It really is depressing to think that it gets mushy so fast.

Laurie - X stretch? Didn't you finish the X?

Jeanette - You must be out enjoying a nice ride. I envy you.

Traci- I guess you are at the bay.

I look forward to catching up on what I missed.

Afternoon ladies!

Had a good, tough bike ride today, 50 miles, with about 3,500' of climbing and headwinds! It was pretty brutal but good. I rode on Friday afternoon pretty hard, though a short ride and I could still feel my legs being tired and sore today. There were 10 of us riders, all fighting the wind. We were fortunate on the way back as there is a lot of uphill and we had a tailwind helping us go up the hills.

Also still working out the details on my woodstove deal. The guy gave me a "delivered" price (which I assumed included the delivery and taxes). He then emailed me the estimate and he added tax onto the price that he quoted me. I emailed him back telling him what my deal was, plain and simple. To me, a delivered price is an "out the door" price, with all fees, taxes, included. If he doesn't go with it, I'll keep looking.

I need to sit down here soon and figure out my weekly rotation. I previewed Janis Saffel's kickboxing DVD, looks good and not too frantic. Also previewed Jari Love's GR 1000. I think I may throw some of her stuff in this next week too. I liked her while previewing.

Laurie, did you sing at church today? Was it a solo? I love to sing and was in an acapella 4 person choir for about 10 years. Hope you get that new leather basketball.

Lea, you will be back on track soon. I think you've kept your sense of humor wonderfully throughout these little setbacks. Hopefully, that's all in the past. Glad the knee is better. What kind of projects will you be doing?

Sandra, that's great about your run today and no loss of cardio capacity from last year! I'll have to look at B&G Leg Blast for this Friday (my leg day). Your run today sounded heavenly. No nasty wind like we had today on the bike ride. I hate wind on a bike, unless it's a tailwind of course. We had a couple of side gusts that were scary.

Tracy, glad you could check in with us. My, my you are a tiny one. Zero's, hmmmm, I might have been a zero when I was in 3rd grade. I can't remember, what did you do to your leg/hip to make it hurt? Have fun shopping for clothes, sounds like a great experience! I went shopping in Reno, NV on Thursday with my son's girlfriend. We hit Bath & Body, Victoria's Secret and a furniture store. I racked up some big bucks on the credit card. Supposed to get a payoff on our life insurance policies very soon (no, I didn't knock off my DH).

Got to go and write up my week's rotation.

RE:

Tracy X - Hi. So great to hear from you. I hear you on the mushiness. It really is depressing that once you workout at a certain level, you need to keep it up to maintain what you have. Oh, and I also caught your tiny tiny size. Size 0 eh??? good for you. (Of course, this is my L.A. vanity talking;-) ).

Jeanette X - Wow. Your bike ride sounds great, but hard. I don't know if I would have the energy. 50 miles is a lot, especially when you are going uphill. Thank you for the positive words about my attitude. I have been trying to keep things light this year. My projects include any fixing that needs to be done to this 80 year old house(except getting under it and fixing the pipes). I need to paint the rest of the house and refix the darn toilet and fix my washing machine now. I would LOVE to learn about tiling. Then I can retile my bathrooms. I'm sick, I know this:p . I hope your situation with the stove works out for you. That blows. Let us know about Jari Love to. There is just something about her...I don't know. But I have never given her a fair chance either.

Hi to Miss Traci (miss you;( ), Steph, Monica, Debra, of course I miss you all. Miss Sandra, we conversed throughout the day. Thanks for keeping me sane:7 .

Lea
