Good Sunday Morning Troops!

I am feeling every single second of PlyoX yesterday….I haven’t felt this way since my first week of X Nov 06!!! How in heaven’s name did I ever do that rotation? Man- I am so proud of all us who lived to see the X status! ……………….Speaking of X Status………
Heres she comes- I see the Torch of Tony being lit…… Who is it????? Gosh I can almost see her face….. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its NICOLE X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WooHoo- gals she has made it! She has accomplished what only a few ever have!!!!! We have a new Xer in the circle!!!!!!!!

For shes a jolly good fellow …..lalalal

Its my REST day- Am I the happiest camper on the planet????

Back with late day personals in a bit!

*clinking* my coffee cup with Nicole X!

Yesterday afternoon ketchup (hehe)

::::::: NicoleX ::::::
Holy Batman! You look GOOD in that X! ^5 wonder woman… You and Laurie XX also did it without any complaining! That really makes the rest of us look bad! I think JeanetteX & Tracy X were the only original Xers that NEVER missed a w/o or complained… What special plans do you have for the 23rd? I think its funny you think of doing Cathe as a little “gift”…. I am OBVIOUSLY not in the same league!

:::::::: TRACYX ::::::
Glad you can get some use out of that Bodyweight e-book. I think I’ll actually be using that more than I think with clients. I actually enjoy those days when theres no equipment to set up/put away…. YEP- Its great for vacations too! On BG/DM…. I did the same thing this past week with back to back days… That’s when I went AHA and realized that DM actually does what BG does + (at least as produced). So happy about ttom… miserable I’m sure but now maybe you can de-bloat… I bet your low BF% is contributing factor ….. I only DREAM of that problem! I do hope you take it a bit easy today…. Funny about eye twitch… That is always my LATE sign over training…. Once that happens I end up having to take 2-3 days off.

:::: Cheryl :::::
Hope you and DS had a fabulous day! Sounds like he is a sweetie!!!! So did ya get to sleep at a decent hour last night? I have this sick feeling that AFTER SD is gone you’ll also have annoying calls – Sounds like she doesn’t like having step mommy win! I’d watch myself……

::::: Teddy Girl ::::::
After you clean Tracy’s house PLEEZE stop by mine…. I saw dead fly in spider web in guest bathroom yesterday….. I need HELP!!!

DEBRAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome Home Day- What did ya buy in NYC???????

Great day to all who follow…. DH wants to spend the day together so I might not be around much…. I was the one who pushed him to schedule his guys vacation but man he must feel guilty- DRIVING ME NUTS!

Hi all,

*****************CONGRATULATIONS NICOLEX*********************

Finishing the X is an accomplishment, and you should be so proud of yourself.

Traci - Have fun with DH:)Yes DM and B&G do work the legs similarly, but I didn't feel that DM was really a leg or upper body workout. Just a way to fatigue the body in a different way. The only problem I see with using body weight exercises for clients is that out of shape ones aren't even going to begin to be able to do a pushup, nor probably a plank, surely not a chin/pullup, the lower body stuff should be OK. Everyone can pick up a weight, no matter how light and do something! I went to the breast surgeon for my check up the other day and she was asking me how I got my upper body so toned, and I said weights and pushups, body weight exercises and she said didn't think that she could even do a push up. Probably not! She works out for an hour a day.

Today is GS BSB, some cardio and yoga. We'll see if I get all of that accomplished.

WOW!! Another X graduate! I am so humbled to be allowed in your presence!!!;-) Congratulations, NicoleX!!

Last night was super busy...there was a horrible accident that killed at least 6 people and severely injured at least 4-5 more. We got 2 of the victims and the others went to another hospital nearby. It was so sad because there's another victim that is not expected to live through the day and she's only 20 yrs old! I was also having to chase after a crazy, loony old man and keep him in bed so that he didn't hurt himself by accidentally pulling all his stuff out! He looked at me after catching him climbing out of bed for the 3rd time and said, "You know, you are really becoming a pain in the ass!". I looked right back at him and said, "Well, so are you!":7

Sorry to be a downer, but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm off to bed and will check in tonight....here's hoping that it's a better night!

YYYEEEEAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hard part is over and I'm on to recovery week:) Thanks for all of the wonderful cheers and congrats! There is no way I could have made it through with out all of you gals. You are the best supporters a girl could ask for:D

I am so excited to do Cathe again and I may be crazy but I've decided on the Jan. 07' rotation. It is going to kick my butt with cardio and I am hoping my body likes the change.

Traci-X, Glad you got a feel for the old PlyoX DOMS. I will miss those:) Have a wonderful rest day. Maybe fit a small yoga in there so your legs don't tighten up too bad:p Thanks for being my personal cheerleader the whole time, I couldn't have done it without you:)

TracyX, Have fun eith GS and yoga. Great combo! Thanks too for the congrats. You are such an inspiration with your clean eating and your hard workouts! I'm glad I'm not the only one with TTOM cravings:)

Amy, What a tough night at work. Hopefully it's better today. Thanks for the congrats! I do hope to attain your strength one day:D

WendyX, Hope you're doing o.k on your little outing!

DebraX, Welcome home! Hope you had lots of fun with DD & DH in NYC!

JeanetteX, Miss you. I'm sure you're on your bike riding away or glued to the Tour for hours on end like my DH:) LOL:p

SandraX, Enjoying time baking and being with the girls?

See you all a bit later,

Nicole

Hi, everyone! Happy Sunday!

Traci, glad you survived that PlyoX!

Nicole, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! What a badge of honor. We are all so proud.

Amy, wow on the terrible accident. Don't blame you a bit for getting irritated by the old guy. Very tragic on the 20 year old. I hope you get some good sleep!!

Tracy, good luck with the GS - love those!

I am thinking Interval Max this morning plus some weights - either PUB or GS -

Traci, speaking of PlyoX being a killer - I did 1/2 of KPC yesterday and the front of my legs are feeling it in a way I didn't expect... and I do cardio and weights all the time. Does anyone else experience this from kickbox??? Just curious.

Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!
Cheryl

Good morning

Lots going on today:)

TracieX: I was up early this morning, couldn't sleep do you believe it after all that cleaning. I woke up at 4 something, got on the computer too start us off, after all the typing I did my computer started acting up.....yep, I was pissed.

I was up and out at 6:30, this morning. We just got back about an hour I had to drive for 2 1/2 hours but all is well. Invited my sons over quess who's cooking breakfast :) x( almost done waiting for the next crew.

Anwho, me and family we are meeting for BD dinner at 3. Not sure if I will be able to do workout house full waiting for other 2 grand babies. I will hit you guys later. Have a wonderful and a blessed day.

NicoleX!!!!!! Whoooo Hooooo!!!!:D :D :D :D :D You made it!!!! Congrats!!!! Was there ever any doubt? NOPE!!!! You're the Xer!!!!:7 You can happily go back to Cathe stronger and refreshed! Any thoughts of doing a round 2 in the winter? Or is that too soon to ask? Kinda like asking the bride and groom when they're planning on starting a family.:7

Traci-X!!! LOL I don't care what anyone says, Plyo is tough! I love Pam as well! I love that she sweats almost as much as I do!! But, I have to say how much I hate that Tony had the guy with one leg do Plyo. It's evil! Gives me NO room to make excuses not to bring it on!}( So, Wendell's feeling guilty. Nah! He just wants to spend time with his beautiful, hot wife!!! What equipment does one need to own in order to use TT fully? I only own dumbbells (up to 45 pounds), barbell & weights (over a hundred pounds), chin-up bar, various tubes and bands, barre, jumprope, stability ball, high step, large step, treadmill, and exercise bike. I sold my cable gym years ago. I loned my stepper, but never got it back. I think they thought I gave it to them?!?!?! Anyhow, do I need anything else? That's a sigh of relief. Lord willing, I'll be here to wish you Happy 85th! :)

Tracy-X: Interesting comment about age affecting eating. You might be onto something there. My mom and MIL both say that their appetite has drastically decreased the older they got. I'm wondering if our appetites will eventually decrease to where we don't crave anything extra? That would be wonderful!:7 Oh! I know what you mean about them falling so fast and not being able to prevent it even though you're standing right there! Hopefully, the nurse will insert a catheter when she comes on Monday. This is getting ridiculous!!!! The muscles in his legs have wittled away. His limbs are very skinny. He has a wheelchair and can barely manage to get himself into it with two people helping him. And, he has a portable potty chair in the living room so he doesn't have to walk to the bathroom. I don't know why he doesn't use it more often. I think it's because he misses the toilet and we have to clean the bathroom floors afterwards.

Sandra-X: I learned that good food was a thoughtful gift when my father unexpectedly passed away a few years ago. When I came home after the funeral and paperwork, I was so entrenched in greiving that food was the last thought on my mind. We lived on take out! Most people sent over flowers and plants. A dear friend brought over the best homemade dinner (beef from their own hand raised cow, homemade breads, tasty baked goods, vegetables from their garden and jam from their own fruit trees). I could feel the love they put into cooking the meal. So, whenever there's a family illness or tragic event, I try to buy the freshest ingredients and break out favorite recipes to tempt them to eat. I spend the day or days in the kitchen and pray for the person or persons while I'm cooking. It helps me more than I think it does them.

Well, ladies. It looks like we're going to stay for at least another day. We have to want MIL get the insurance papers straightened out for 24 hour hospice. If we can't get it worked out, Phil and his brothers are going to take turns coming here every day. FIL has daily aides, and the nurses come during the week. But, MIL needs more help. There's no way she would be able to take care of FIL without another strong person right now. I'm kinda angered at how slow the process is to get help. He should have had a catheter inserted at least a week ago. Moving him is like moving 150 pounds of dead weight. It's like MIL is left all to herself to figure it out. It's not really. It just feels that way at the moment. Sorry, to complain to you all.

On a good note, I spent all day cooking. I didn't finish until midnight. It made me feel good when MIL commented that my homemade lasagne and lemon/dill carrots was the first good meal she's had since she can't remember when. She hasn't been eating well lately. Dd helped bake 4 apple pies and 5 dozen banana chocolate chip muffins. The muffins freeze extremely well. FIL is fond of sweets!:) Today, dd and I are making stuffed peppers to freeze individually and MIL's favorite orange spice cookies. Maybe, I'll be able to get some yoga in today. Oh! My foot feels much better. The swelling has come down a little. It's still tender. But, I can move my toes a little more and put more weight on it without falling.

It's time to roll the refridgerated dough.

Hi to All who follow!

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!!!

Hi, everyone!

Checking back in to report workout-
30 min cardio - Interval Max - followed by PUB

Had a hard time getting into the cardio - but for some reason felt the urge to finally look up the part on Interval Max in the first interval where the tall girl (Rhonda?) lost a bra pad and kicked it under the step where it stays until about interval 5. Ah, ha - guess I'm easily amused.

PUB rocked, as always - except I'm finally realizing that the pikes on the ball are a particularly bad idea once my shins are sweaty. I need to follow the example of one of my YaYa cohorts who does the abs on that workout FIRST while she's freshest and before the ol' legs get covered by sweat and make you slip off the ball.

Teddygirl, sounds like you're headed for a wonderful day! Enjoy those grandbabies!

Wendy, hang in there! Glad your foot is feeling better! Have a wonderful day!

Cheryl

Hi all,

I finished doing GS BSB. I went as heavy as I could and stayed around 8 reps. It's kind of hard to do because Cathe is always commenting on using a weight that allows you to complete all of the reps! I added a few sets of pull ups after the back work. I did the bicep work and then tried to do a few chin ups and that wasn't so good. I only got in 2 sets of 5 unassisted instead of 8. I'm hoping it was because I went so heavy with the bicep work. Then I got on the eliptical for 48 minutes, went 3.5 miles, kept the tension harder than the last time, and burned 350 calories. I was soaked at the end.

Cheryl - Are you kidding about the bra pad? Which IMAX is that? It took months before I ever saw the underware in Magically Hips. I guess I just don't look at the screen much. I love PUB. The beauty of it is that you can sub some other exercises and make it fresh and new again. I think it is one of the most time efficient/effective workouts Cathe has done.

Wendy - Sorry about the situation with FIL. It seems like getting help is so difficult. They finally put a catherate in my MIL when she got to the end. It is just too difficult to move that kind of dead weight. The hospice and just the whole finality of it all is so difficult. DH's sisters actually washed and dressed MIL for her to go to the crematory. Maybe that's why they are struggling so mentally these days. There is a balance, and I think everyone has to protect themselves to some extent because life does go on. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

Annointed - Have fun today with the grand kids.

Nicole - Recovery is just icing on the cake.

Hi to everyone else.

Tracy

Hi to all! Back from the wilds of NYC! We had a great time...And, yes, Traci did some shopping! Took DD to FAO Schwartz and American Girl Place...and let's see...also went to see "Mary Poppins" on Broadway...which was fabulous! We also did some other sightseeing things...took a boat ride to see the Statue of Liberty and went to Times Square and the Empire State Building. We had dinner out at some really great restaurants. I only got myself a watch (to replace the one I lost at the beach) and went to Anthropologie...which is my favorite store in the world...and got a few things there. Really not all that much considering! LOL!! I have read every one's posts over the past few days...but I am not going to try and answer everyone...The only thing I have to say is I leave for 5 days and new pictures start popping up all over the place!!!

Teddygirl...So glad we finally have a picture of you! You look just like I pictured...except I had a huge head of hair on you! You are just as lovely as I expected!

Tracy...You! I can't believe you posted a pic!! And you look pretty much like I pictured too! So cute and tiny...I did not have your boys pictured that way, though...It looks like they could use you to play keep away with!! So great to have a picture of you and your handsome family!

NicoleX....WooHoo!!!!!! Congratulations on your completion of the X!! Will be curious to hear your stats when you post them next week...and pictures too! Way to go! I hope your family is proud of you, too. And hope DS is doing okay after his scary fall.

Wendy...Keeping your family in my thoughts. I know how hard this is for everyone...and it is frustrating not to be able to get the care for your family when you need the help.

Okay...everyone else...I will catch up with you all tomorrow!

Tracy - not kidding about the bra pad and it's in the first one, Interval Max. You can't really see it drop so much as you can see Rhonda kind of fumbling with her foot to get it kicked under the step during the grapevine recovery and then there this little shadow sits for the next 5 intervals.

I wouldn't have noticed it at all if someone hadn't pointed it out on one of the threads.

Like I said, I'm easily amused }( }( }(

Debra, sounds like you had a wonderful time in N.Y.! We're so jealous!!

Cheryl

Cheryl....I have never noticed the pad either...but that is certainly something I would find incredibly humorous too!! That gives me some motivation to do Imax soon. How are things going with your family?
