On tap this morning: Power Hour, clean, laundry, meet Jenn (fitnessmom) for lunch, and kill the tape worm.
For the record, I only had half a goblet of wine last night. Excuse me? You want to know how large the goblet is? I'm not sure. I don't remember much.

:7
Jeanette: I almost bought you some kettle corn yesterday. But, remembered I'm your friend. Ha-Ha You must share the recipe to this moist oatmeal cake of yours!!! I'll share my heels! LOL I'm glad you are still excited about trying the broccoli recipe. I can get anal about ingredients when I'm cooking. I should really lighten up and take your approach. Phil would be so much happier not having to run back and forth to the grocery store if I did!:7 Have you considered using heavier dumbbells instead of a barbell on your shoulders with the high step? I sometimes wonder if Cathe uses the barbell because many home exercisers don't want to spend more money on heavy weighted dumbbells. Regardless of her reason, I prefer holding a heavy dumbbell with both hands at various heights (at the chest, stomach, neck, hanging down beside my body) instead of using a barbell on my shoulders for most if not all leg workouts. Back to the heels... I mean feet... I was going to bring you the stuff I bought on clearance at CVS (it's a pharmacy type store like Rite Aid or Walgreens). If you want to buy it before trying it, it's For Feet's Sake product line by Aromafloria. I only have the foot soak and sugar scrub. Both work wonderfully for my feet. Now, my mother... she has some nasty dry feet! She even cuts off the dry parts. YUK! I bought her some peppermint foot cream that helped. But, the cream is only sold in Thailand. I'm sure the cream Aromafloria sells is just as good if not better. Oooo a Honey Do List. Proceed with caution... Phil and the guys at his work tease men who get those. Heck, if we knew your dh, we'd tease him too!}( A neighbor of ours gets those when his wife goes away on vacation. He lounges around, has pool parties, movies nights, etc.. until the day before she comes home. Then it's a mad dash trying to get the Honey Do list marked off. We all feel sorry for him and end up helping him. LOL
Sandra: I wish you were going to the retreat!!!!! I keep telling Phil I wish you could go! LOL on naming my tape worm. Well, it's not Giggleberry! That's for sure. It's not a laughing matter!!!

Yep, you're right again. HSC is the one that I own. It's funny how those used to kick my bootay when I first worked out, even the cardio portion in C&W. I can't believe how out of shape I was a year and month ago. You probably think the same thing too when you look back to where you were after having your babies. Okay, it's kind of complicated about adopting. In order to bring home a baby to the USA, the baby has to be considered an orphan. If someone, say a teenage mother, wants to give me a baby, I would have to wait 2 years before immigration would approve a visa. (My gf is going this route and raising the child in Thailand.) If I adopt a child from an orphanage, I would have to go through Thai regulations. They prefer at least a one year residency. Then I would need approval after 3 home studies (~6 more months). Keep in mind that I'm adopting as a single, older mother. That means I would have to get a JOB to show income. Oh, I'd also have to deny that I have any children because I would not get approval when I already have six children!!! So, after denying my husband and children and getting approved, they would offer me an older child (I don't get to pick a child); probably a teenager or close to it because of my age. Well, we all know that would be a disaster considering I don't speak fluent Thai. If I wanted a younger child, the child would probably have severe mental or physical conditions. Since I have no desire to leave my family for 1.5 to 2 years, we decided to not pursue adopting. I'm thankful I found out all the information. I'm at total peace with our decision. Glad you asked?:7 My sister came back with me. My mom is coming back later this week. She's still building a rental house over there. Long story!
Tracy: Instant coffee isn't so bad! Especially when you can mask the taste of a bad cup with cream!:7 Which one do you drink? I've been liking Nescafe. I want to try out the Starbucks coffee Jeanette brews.
Traci: You lazy housewife!

After you finish cleaning up your house, you're more than welcome to prove me wrong and clean mine!:7

Cathe is a wonderful instructor! I think many are too harsh in their criticisms. I mean it's a freaking dvd! It's meant to be repetitive!!! sigh. Did you get MIL's drain unclogged? Wait! Did you unclog it for her? Can't she open up a bottle of DrainX herself? You are a good DIL for sure!!!
Christiane: What a terrible, no good day! Although, I had to laugh at your description of it! You could count all that running around as steady state cardio with a few intervals.

At least the food was free! Will this be remembered as the Valentines that never happened? Or are you trying to purge this week from your memory? How was dd's performance? LOL Somehow, I doubt you were just kidding about eating as bad as me! I doubt anyone could have done that!!!! You would have been proud of me. Yesterday, I walked by a bakery without pausing. I just kept repeating, "I don't need more carbs." It helped when Dd pushed me forward.

Too bad the wiring on the European Nespresso machines are different. Or else I'd be badgering you to go to the retreat just so you could share your pods!

Are you going to the retreat? I hope you can make it!!!!
Debra: Studying diligently I hope? Do you have study clothes you can wear to mentally prepare you for putting your nose to the grindstone?

Wooo Hooo A headstand! Makes you almost want to jump for joy if you had enough blood in the head to do it!:7 I always use a wall when I do those. I don't trust myself otherwise. Your XDH sounds harsh. We can't be perfect! I'm sure you're as graceful as they come. Heck, you're a Southern Belle!!!!

He must be one of those who wants to control every detail. Maybe that's why he's doing well at work. It may work at work, but not at home!!! I haven't thrown the SI porn away yet. I can see it now... I'll be at the height of TTOM and want him to look at it and tell me how much better my body looks. }( }( }( Poor guy!!! Really, it will go in the trash today when I clean. I'm not as generous as you!:7
Nicole: Keep up the good work! It will pay off! You can only get stronger!!! Don't be jealous. Girl, when the twins and eldest dd were younger, we didn't do a thing!!!!!! We were so swamped with three in diapers, formula, three in diapers, therapy appointments, three in diapers!, and sterilizing bottles that we didn't have a moment to think of each other. Did I mention three in diapers?:+ It's just a season in your life. Enjoy the pleasures that this season offers... Young children, fat toddler cheeks, mud puddles as toys, etc... It goes by too fast! Oh, I had to train Phil to think of me.... right down to which flowers to buy and avoid. LOL Thanks for the Capresso idea. I'll have to check it out the next time I'm in Bed Bath & Beyond.
Okay, off to push play! I'll try to catch up on Friday's personals later.
Ballistic Hugs to ALL!!!
Wendy
