Morning ladies... Feel like I'm running late today - its after 5! I must think I'm vacation or something!

Scanned lasts noghts posts will do indepth personals later but...

HAPPY HAPPY Jeaneatte is OK and can I say Core Syn with the book???? I bow before you oh mighty one! He(( I hardley did it from the DVD!

TRACY: YEAH on your day off! I sure loved my 2 this weekend !! Good for the bod & soul!!! Sorry about traffic....15 minutes too late can make DHs commute of 20 minutes turn into a 45-60 monite. Hes outta house at 530am and raerely home before 630 or 7.

Debra: Late night rants...YOU GO RIGHT AHEAD! lol

Back with my plan of attack today as well as personals!

********PERSONALS ********

Thinking today will be a Slim series Circuit… Either Tone it Up or Shape it Up ……. STILL waiting on my kicks & ab bootcamp….. I am so Impatient!:7

:7 Monica: Your weekly rotation looks AWESOME! Man you must love yoga… I so want to I really really really do but guess my weekly Pilates with an occasional yoga thrown in for good measure will have to suffice. I see you like Cardio Coach as well! Do you use it with running, TM, bike? I’m always looking for more ways to use mine…so versatile!

:7 Debra; I want to see those VS pink sweats! I love girlie sweats to lounge in!!!! How great you bought a graduation gift!!! GREAT IDEA joining flickity flicks… I’ll have to look into that so I stop spending money on these darn DVDs I rarely use! Really funny about late night rants! LOLOLOL – must be that all the craziness of the day has built up and you need to release it! Very healthy actually! LOL. No offenses ever taken on anyone’s opinions – for the record- I am one who believes strongly that there’s room enough on the planet for everyone and their beliefs… shoot I’ve actually learned a few things in my life from people who appeared to be far different than me. I just wish they wouldn’t come to my front door to chat about it! Lololol Hope today is awesome and that you get that much deserved workout in later today!

:7 Jeanette: YUCKY on living without power! I swear I couldn’t live in our ancestor’s day! So happy you were OK tho…. Could ya tell we were all getting worried? Hope Kenpo goes well today and AGAIN….. Many Many Kudos for doing CoreSyn with just the book!

:7 TRACY: My legs are loving my Tony mish moshes every 3 days! Plyos the ticket for me that’s now proven…. Well that and Sneaky Lunges!!! I am actually doing more “circuits” now to lean out again but I’m not doing Cathe Circuits… NYBP * Slim Series etc… which all get their cardio factor from fast sets of light weights not jumping or step. I am waiting until my new TaeBos come to do Kickboxing a few days a week as that also leans me out quickly. I am really excited about testing out Ab Bootcamp – which is a Core Cardio type workout 80% standing from what I hear. Once those arrive I probably won’t be doing much Cathe in March except maybe some of her new series to add variety.
I LOL on your family’s meatless meal comments… I get that too! I served DH a HUGE beautiful salad that had a ton of chicken breast in it and he picked out all the chicken –put it on a separate plate so he could feel like he had more than a salad for dinner! LOLOLOL. I’ve only watched wife swap a few times but gosh is it funny! I actually love seeing how everyone lives so differently! Can you imagine letting a stranger into your home tho to run the place? NO WAY! Hope your white chicken chili was awesome…Sounds yummy!

:7 Lea- Sandra…. Let’s stay focused on your workouts today please! I shall not being doing any until after my errands are run so no need to try peeking into my house to see if I’m procrastinating today!

:7 Laurie: can you tell that we are all anxious about your acting?

:7 Steph: Oh I so hope you are ok…. MISS YOU!

:7

Good morning. Today I am going to do ARX and X Stretch, but not right now. I am really sore from the Cardio Coach and loving it!! I think I will lounge around a little this morning and procrastinate just like Miss Traci X ;-) .

Jeanette - So glad that you are all right. We WERE worried. I am one who is impressed too with doing Core Syn out of the book. Good job.

Debra - Funny about your ranting. Rant away. We love it around here.

Traci X - Where oh where is that TaeBo? Which rotation are you going to do in April? I was actually thinking of doing doubles this time. Should be fun!!!!

Hope everyone has a great morning. Off to get water and coffe and bbl to talk with the rest of you Xers (yes, without the ' ;) ).

Lea

LEA!!! You came out tp play EARLY!!!
I am going to do classic with added lite lite lite cardio 2-3 days a week. I'm also going to keep rotating Kenpo with taebo , ARX with Ab Bootcamp, and PlyoX with My Tony Legs Mish Mosh.... Those were the 3 BOREDOM factors for me. I cant believe how excited I am in planning this ! Cant wait for April 1!!!! sick sick sick....
COOL that you are feeling Cardio Caoch today!!! So lets synchronize a workout time so we can soak up all the energy.... I'm thinking around 11...:+

Traci - I am always up this early, just usually working out right now. Your rotation sounds good. I think I will add in various cardio too. Loving the CC, so have to add that in to the rotation. Maybe a little Cathe for fun. Who knows. But you have so many dvd's now, minus the TaeBo x( that you have to add that in. Isn't Cardio X really really lite???? I am excited too. I told DH that we start a new rotation on April 1 (opening day of baseball, don't think he is joining me on that one).

I can't do my workout at 11. I have to wait to pick my DS up from school. Probably around 2 or 3. We will see. But you have a good time working out at 11.

Lea

Morning Xers,

Today is my final KenpoX. CoreSyn last night was really good. I am amazed that ARX has made my core so strong. I guess all the hard work is paying off.

I was a bad girl and didn't write down any measurements, so I really don't have the inches lost thing to do. But I can say that I have lost 5 lbs, gone down a pants size, am more defined in the upper body and abs. :D Overall I am very pleased with my results, and am working on GS series/P90X rotation. But next time I am going to do measurements to see exactly what and where I have improved. :)

On the reenactment that my family does. We are starting our 9th season this year, and still are having a lot of fun. We only participate in a local faire. Someday we plan on visiting other faires, but with the children being in school it is hard to justify taking them out for acting. :D Thought I would share some pictures of my family, that someone took last year. Photographer didn't take any pictures of me, the only thing out there of me is when I was much heavier. x(

CL/PH3/WEEK5/Day3: KenpoX

Good morning,

I'm going to stay short right now. DD wants me to read her library books to her before school, since they are due back today and we never got around to it this week.

Jeanette - SO happy to see your post last night! That was a very long time to be without power! And I love it that you did CoreSyn from the book. I had the same experience doing Legs&Back a couple months ago, remember? What are the odds of that? And I think the manual is one of the best tools from the P90X box. Mine is quite tattered and torn at this point.

TraciX - I'm VERY happy that you got your workout in yesterday! That's what we're here for :) That wife I ordered is on backorder. They're very popular. She'll be there in 6-8 years. What are you going to do for worksheets, for your next round? Were you smart enough to make photocopies before you started Round 1? I wish I'd done that. Our DH's have similar hours - too long!

TracyX - Ugh!!! Bad traffic is such an aggravation! Did you survive the challenge of no workout yesterday? I agree with you; from the preview I did y-day, Shiva definitely crams more into the 85 minutes than does Tony. You *almost* break a sweat?? I have a feeling I'll be drenched! That is, if I don't spend more time staring at the tv with my jaw on the ground than I do actually working out.

Debra - Hello there! I'm glad we're here for your ranting purposes :) You have a very busy 24 hours planned. Enjoy! How goes the house-selling process?

LeaX - Hee Hee. You make me chuckle. Going to start Round Two with TraciX in April? Well, now I'm thinking maybe I WILL join you guys, with a modified version. Don't bet the house on it, though. I need a month to see how I do without it. What rotation will you do? Classic, Lean, or Doubles?

I'm very serious about learning how to meditate. Does anyone have any good book or dvd suggestions? Or just any good advice about the matter? I've already figured out what the theme of my mantra(s) should be. Now, how do I go about branding them into my brain, and changing my negative thought patterns?

I'll give Shiva's Solar One workout a whirl when the baby sleeps this morning. I'm going to need lots of uninterrupted concentration time to do it. Obviously, I'm no longer sticking with the P90X recovery week :)

Have a great day!
Sandra

Good morning,

Classic/Phase 3/Week 5/Day 3

Today was KenpoX for me and I did really enjoy it. Seemed easier for some reason. I concentrated on my form. Tonite is a Garage Boys Spin Session, then come home and help DH and finish The Italian Job movie. Power went off again last night about 9:30 while watching the movie and came back on again sometime during the night, thank goodness!

Traci, I love the way you are mixing up these workouts. What do you think about the Slim Series in your rotation? I have it and I remember how sore I was with Firm It Up. I also remember how LONG they are too. Are you still doing heavy weight work, or giving it a break until your next X? Right now, I'm saying I won't be joining you in April with another round of the X, but you never know. Too soon to say. I still haven't pinned down a rotation to do yet. I think I just need to get some workouts out of my system that I want to play with first and then decide. I also received Tracey Staehle's core workout on Monday, but haven't previewed it yet. I'll keep you posted. Must say that Core Syn was not near as fun using the book, but glad I had it anyway. I just didn't want to get behind in the rotation. I kept having to put on my glasses to read the description on each of the exercises. Longer pauses....

Lea, before I forget, thanks again for all the work on the Xers shirt. Hey, "Xers" is fine for me too. Have we picked sizes yet and are they on the link? I need to see what the material is made of to know whether I need a small or medium. Bet you are really getting excited about your snowboarding lesson!! Glad the meditation when well (I typed medication). What cardio equipment did you do Cardio Coach with? I have done CC#5 and really liked that one. Do you have a heart rate monitor? So you're starting a new rotation April 1st? I may or may not be with you guys, too soon to tell.

Laurie, enjoy KenpoX today. Love your pictures and the costumes are beautiful. I've gone up to the Shakespearean Festival in Ashland, Oregon a few times and love the costumes of the dancers/singers that come out ahead of time. I used to be in an acapella choir and we learned a bunch of songs to do at renassaince (sp) fairs but never ended up doing them. I think it would have been a blast!

Sandra, yep, my P90X book is very tattered. I may have to remove what's left of it from the spiral thingie and punch holes in it to put in a binder instead. Enjoy your Shiva. She's got some meditation type moves that you can program in the matrix. The matrix is fabulous for tailoring your own workout to what you want to do. Very easy to use. I think that if I do another P90X rotation in April, it will be a modified one, but not sure what.

Hi to everyone else,

Jeanette

OK- Its 12:15 ….so much for 11am workout! Went to Wal-Mart, decided to cook protein for the week then I started cleaning out bathroom cabinets… (Who knew there are so many wrinkle creams out there?)….. Then I got hungry so ate …. Waiting for digestion so I can workout. Looks like I’ll be doing w/o with Lea at 2pm after all!

LEA: Cardio X is lite but its like 12 min YOGA (UGH) + 10 min Kenpo (yea) + 10 min Plyo (yea)…. If it weren’t for that darned yoga section I’d LOVE it!!

LAURIE: Your pics of costumes are AWESOME! Thanks so much for sharing those! Every November we go to the Renaissance Festival in Magnolia TX and I swear I tell DH “I wanna do that!” WAY WAY COOL! 5#s lost? WOOHOO!!! Down a pant size? ^^^5! Those are some terrific results woman! So are you getting excited about graduation????

Miss Sandra….. May I ask where the name FiddleFit came from? I am ALWAYS curious about those silly things…. Matter of fact why don’t WE ALL SHARE!!!! Mine is DULL DULL DULL…. Teddy16410 = Teddy (a childhood nickname + 16410 MY ADDRESS! Hahahahaha It’s my screen name for EVERYTHING on the planet! Who’s next?????
On the worksheets…. DH scanned for me so I’d have them blank for future… He’s my techie geek remember? If I can only recall which “stick” they are saved on I’ll share… Otherwise I’ll just use the book to make new ones in excel. I too LOVE that book! On the meditations… There really are some super great guided meditations out there… I personally love Marianne Williamson (uses God/Universe/Jesus)… Lots of choices available thru HayHouse.com. Doreen Virtue is great (uses angels), James Van Praagh has some good ones (uses Higher Power). I still need the guided ones to get me in the zone as my mind goes a ba-zillion miles an hour as you know. I like all of them – the name used for higher power is not an issue for me but for many it is so just look around. Also ONESPIRIT.COM is a good one for these. How many workout hours is it until you graduate? ^^^5

JEANETTE: My goodness you poor thing with all those outages! So happy you didn’t have to do Kenpo from book as well! On slim series… I really find it serves my purpose much better than Cathe circuits for right now…. They are not near as fun but the job gets done and I’m learning to appreciate that more than fun factor. They tend to keep my HR in SSC vs. all or nothing. Also I see results when I use these every few weeks just to shock my body. They all run 57-78 minutes but are full body workouts (circuity lite wts) and all include ab work that’s really good. Debbie Seibers also does leg work that is just perfect for my body like Tony’s… Enjoy Spinervals tonight with the boys and again… Way to go on being DONE!

TRACY: Hope commute today is a breeze!

Debra…. HELLO OUT THERE!!

Monica…. HELLO TO YOU TOO!

Steph: I’m sending out the posse to find you!!!!

Hey gang. How's it going out there?

Laurie - My goodness, thanks you so much for sharing those pictures. Those are really great. The costumes are outstanding and your DD's are so beautiful. ARX is amazing isn't it? That is why I still do it. I finally realized how much it was working for me when I had my hands on either side of the kitchen counter and could easily lift my legs up in a L shape AND hold it for a long time. ^5 on your results. Great job!!!

Sandra - Yeah, where did Fiddlefit come from??? hmm? Inquiring minds want to know. Have to check out Shiva now. Thanks....You must join us in April. That will give you enough time to actually miss the pain and torture of P90X. Just wait and see. You'll be crying for more in about a month. Ha ha. I plan on doing Doubles, since it is bathing suit season. Gotta burn off that beer fat ya know. Good luck on finding a meditation book. There are so many out there. I am so addicted to the class right now that I want to go everyday, but that is not possible with wee ones. ((SOB))). Funny on changing the negative thinking patterns. Since I am starting to turn it around a little (been trying to practice that one for a while), I find certain posts very negative. For example (and again, please no one get offended), the American Idol and the Oscar Dress posts. Can't we point out the positives on these people instead of saying that they are boring, can't sing good, dress crummy, etc. That's my rant. It's amazing how you can try to find the good in everything (except for my pms, where's the good in thatx(??). Good luck with your workout.

Jeanette - Hi there. So good to hear from you. That darn power outage. You must have a lot of candles and blankets lying around right about now. Hopefully that is the last of it for you. You MUST let us know about Tracy Staehle's core workout. It looks fabulous. Again, I must thank you about the Cardio Coach. I am so in love with this workout right now. I am getting very excited about the snowboarding lesson. Interestingly enough, I am not nervous, which is very unusual for me. This is way out of the norm of what I usually do, but hey, I figure it is time to experience new things just for me. And to tell you the truth, right now I am loving it!! No, we haven't ordered the shirts yet. I will post all of the later today. Being a bit slow. Sorry. You have to start on the 1st with us too. Just like I told Sandra, you'll miss it. You'll see ;) .

Miss Traci X - Ha!! Beat you to the workout. I did your workout time and you are doing mine today. You wanna come over and clean out my bathroom cabinets? Lord knows what is lurking in there. Cardio X doesn't sound that bad. Only 12 minutes of yoga? Not bad. I'm thinking tomorrow I will do Plyo Legs and Gym Style legs floor work, since I am laying off the weights this week. BTW, I think my name is a little self explanitory, so do I really need to explain, Teddy? Hm? And jeeze, I thought I was the only one who used HayHouse. Do you listen to their programs at all? What we learn about one another.

Ok, that's about it. Youngest DS is calling for me to come to the couch. Talk to everyone later.

Hi to Debra, Monica and Steph!!

Lea

OMG Laurie, that Renaissance Faire is worth being in just to get to wear the costumes!! I love them! Your family all look beautiful and dashingly handsome. Are they comfortable in the summer temperatures?

Okay, I'm officially a Shiva Rea convert!! OMG that was enjoyable!!! Not nearly as intense as I thought it was going to feel. Tony's the only yogi I've ever seen who puts push ups in his vinyasas, and they certainly increase the intensity of them. To be frank, I quite miss the pump in my shoulders and arms that they give me. I guess next time I can just add them in. I didn't miss much else about YogaX, though! This was wonderful, wonderful. There are some moves that I couldn't quite get all the way, but I was close enough that I feel motivated to keep practicing. I'm actually surprised at how flexible and strong I've become. I really enjoyed the handstands, and can do them easily enough against a wall, but have the most trouble with the standing arm balances where you're expected to give yourself a piggy-back. They're like crane, but harder (!). And the music to Warrior Dance 4 is out of this world. I LOVE that music! How unique! I'm thinking I might be making a couple of cd purchases in the next little bit. Shiva's cuing and commentary were great; no complaints. She didn't seem to get her sides mixed up, or miss a cue. She didn't get overly excited at any point (ahem, Tony!). I was able to follow along quite well for my first time through. I will be doing some of this dvd at least once a week, and also some static stretching along the lines of XStretch. In this workout, anyway, Shiva never held any pose for very long, and I miss the release you get when you hold a pose and really breathe into it. So, I will need to complement with some deep static stretching.

TraciX - "decided to clean out the bathroom cabinets"?? What's that about??? No one just "decides" to do that!! Why are you so reluctant about starting your workout today? It sounds like a good one! You're just waiting for Lea, I suppose. Your screen name is your ADDRESS?! That's a scream! I would never have thought of that. It occurred to me at one point to wonder if there were 16409 other Teddy's registered on Cathe.com, but I doubted it. They'd all be a giant pool of lurkers, wouldn't they? FiddleFit just comes from the expression "fit as a fiddle." I wanted something that sounded fun, rolled off the tongue, and had an exercise reference. No, I don't play the violin! (I do, however, play the piano). Thank you for the meditation information. Does it always have to reference a higher power? I'm a "humanist", meaning that I believe in individual strength. I want to tap into my own inner strength, if you know what I mean?

Jeanette - TERRIFIC idea about putting the manual in a binder. I'll do the same! And if TraciX finds those scanned worksheets, maybe she'll send them to me.....(pretty please, Traci? <eyelashes batting>). Then I'll have a nice, tidy workbook again :) Another power outage?? What's going on? Storms? My next P90X rotation will be very modified, too. I'll stick with the upper body weights as written, but change up the rest a lot. I personally did not see a significant physical transformation from sticking with the plan, so I feel better about making my own decisions from now on.

LeaX - Yes, you must check out Shiva! If I recall, you are a yogi from way back, right? You'll probably love this! A beer gut on YOU, Girlfriend?! PUUUULEEEASEE! :7 We've all seen your avatar! A drop of beer wouldn't DARE hang around on your fine middle! I look forward to ordering the tank! It's a definite must-have for P90X round two.

Cheers,
Sandra

OK- Its 2:30…. Workout will be started at 3:00 NO EXCUSES!

Lea: Yeah… I guess I get the workout mom thing! Just have to make sure theres no “secret “ meaning in there!! Oh I do love HayHouse programs! Louise is actually one of my go back to gals for years now! I wanna be just like her as I age!!

Sandra: All the meditations I listen to believe that the higher power (even God) is within…. I am a spiritualist not a religious person so there is nothing I have ever listened to that didn’t talk about it coming from within… Actually on HayHouse.com it would be pretty impossible to find a “religion based” philosophy as the founder Louise Hay is a pioneer in “new age” spirituality. Her meditations are pretty awesome as well… Shes got to be close to 75 or 80 now & I still get a kick out of her. Her “story” is fascinating as well. DOG GONE IT! I was betting you were a closet fiddle player! LOLOLOL
Ok ENOUGH gushing over this Shiva chick… I am this close to buying the dam* thing and I don’t like yoga! STOP STOP STOP….. On my workout procrastination…. Any time I don’t get it done early AM I go thru this.. I do LOVE the afternoon tho as it keeps me from grazing all afternoon which is my trigger time of day. I PROMISE I will be reporting completion at some point! Gotta record the new weigh in on tomorrows Cathe calendar & I want it to be a good one!

Wheres Tracy today? Wheres Monica? Wheres Steph this entire week? … We know that Debra is being a busy bee….. Jeanette’s at work……

OK 20 minutes to workout!

Hi all,

Sounds like everyone is doing well.

I'm late checking in. I got up and then decided to do some abs this am before work. I just did my own thing, no crunches, 20-25 reps for each move, 20 minutes worth. My core is feeling pretty tight.

Yesterday, I don't know why, but I ate 3 small peices of chocolate and a peice of homemade whole wheat bread, a big peice, and I felt like sh^% today. I know it has to be that junk that I ate. Otherwise I ate pretty good, but I haven't eaten any chocolate in ages, and thought I'd gotten over it. After today, I surely have. I was exhausted all day. I probably gained a pound from eating 300 calories worth of chocolate, which I know is numerically impossible!

It's still my recovery week and so I went for a relatively vigorous walk and now I'm headed down to do some Shiva yoga. I'll be back later for personals,

Tracy

Hello, hello, hello!!!!!!

I'm here finally! Got my grocery shopping done in record time this morning...I must have been running through the store! Then home to put the groceries away...then instead of lollygagging on the computer I got my workout in this morning...which was good since lunch ran long and didn't get home with DD until after 3pm! We went to a great italian restaurant near our neighborhood and I had bruschetta and lobster bisque...I thought about poor Sophia in Legs and Back when Tony tells her the lobster bisque wasn't healthy enough! I did a kind of mix and match today of Jennifer Kries' pilates workouts...It had been so long since I had done them and I really enjoyed myself. I used a body bar instead of the toning bar she uses and really felt like I got a good core workout. Tomorrow is Kenpo and I will probably add the Bootcamp kickboxing premix to it.

I'm glad I haven't offended anyone with my rants!!! It never ceases to amaze me how much people care about other people's business! I'm all for hearing about other people's ideas and thoughts.....In fact, I enjoy a good exchange of ideas...I'm such a live and let live person...I want my friends and family to be happy and healthy and if I can help with that then great....I'm usually positive...Like Lea said...why can't people just say something positive?!? I was taught by my good Southern mother that if you didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all! Now you guys got a mid afternoon rant!

I do have to share a funny religion story with you guys...So my DD was about 2 years old at the time and I answer the door on a Saturday afternoon and there are 2 priests at the door. (Sounds like the beginning of a joke doesn't it?) Anyway...They start asking me where I go to church and I tell them that my husband is Jewish...it usually runs everyone off! They tend to leave me alone after that...I guess they think I must be too far gone to be saved since I have married a Jew of all things! So instead of turning tail they ask if they can pray with my daughter and me....what do you say to that? "No, don't pray for me" ? So I am standing in my hall with 2 priests as they pray over us! My DH comes in from the family room to find out what's going on...and there we are with the 2 priests! You should have seen the look on his face!!

Okay on to personals!

TraciX...You lazy bum...I can't believe you are working out later than me today! I'm sure your workout was much more difficult, though. I would probably enjoy the spirituality meditation you are talking about. I'll have to look into that website. Send some of those wrinkle creams my way...Needing more and more of those lately! Glad you are so excited about your upcoming rotation....I am still working out my my head my take aways from the X so that I can have a good idea for my next rotation.

Sandra...Glad you enjoyed your yoga today. I have Shiva on my list from flickety fit..so she will be coming soon! I am also getting the Departed from Netflix tomorrow!!!! I, too, tend to shun organized religion. Hope you are enjoying your recovery week. Still nothing on the house...the market is just awful here right now...but thanks for asking.

Lea...Hope you enjoyed Stretch and Abs...Which CC did you do? I'm sure you said, but I've forgotten and I'm too lazy to go back and look...I am going to get at least one to try out, so would appreciate your feedback!

Laurie...My goodness, your girls are beautiful!!! What a great experience for all of you! I am very impressed. I don't do anything fun like that. I didn't do measurements either...and now I'm sorry that I didn't. It sounds like you have achieved some great results!

Jeanette...You poor thing! I HATE power outages!! Hope you can keep your electricity on today! Have a great time with the boys tonight...Glad you had a good time with Kenpo today...It's one of my faves from this rotation.

Steph and Monica and Tracy...YooHoo!!! Where are you?!?

They probably have posted since I have been writing since my DD stops me every five minutes to ask when she can use the computer.

Hope all you ladies...no matter your religious or political preferences....have a great evening!

Debra

Debra - Hi there. I am so procrastinating the cleaning thing, so don't have a lot of time. I wanted to respond to the Cardio Coach. I got V.4, I loved it, but could have gone longer. So I am thinking of getting 6 next. I am nice and toasty from the workout though. Loving it!!!!]

Lea

Hi Xers....

Traci...Well, thank goodness you got that workout in...I have been sitting here just wondering if you would actually do it....Ha-ha...you are one of the most motivated people here! It was never a question in my mind!!!

Lea...Thanks for the info...Maybe I should go with CC6 first then?

Tracy...Glad to see you are okay! Used to hearing from you earlier in the day! Not like me who may not actually get out of bed until 9...especially on the weekend...Sorry you felt yucky today...it s**ks that you can't even enjoy some chocolate without your body rebeling! I'm assuming you took you pooches on your walk tonight...mine needs a long walk, but we had snow again this afternoon!! Hope you felt better after your yoga!

Debra

Hi Lea,
I forgot to mention that I did Cardio Coach #6 with Candace. With stretch it runs about an hour. She adds in a relaxation session at the end but I haven't tried it yet - as I do it at the gym and might look weird doing it there. I did it again tonight. It has four challenges:

1. 1 minute sprint followed by 1 minute recovery, 5 times.
2. 30 second sprint followed by 40 second recovery, 5 times.
3. Hill climb -- don't remember how long.
4. 2 minute hill climb, followed by 1 minute sprint, followed by 2 minute recovery, 4 times.

Good night!

Monica

Evening,

Just got done eating and reading so time to catch up on personals. Did the Garage Boys spin session tonite. Only 3 other guys there. There were all like so ho-hum on which workout they wanted to do so I suggested a Cardio Coach. The guy that has the garage owns Cardio Coach #3, which I gave him. So we did Cardio Coach #3 and they seemed to really like it, though it was too short, but could have been repeated. They liked the intensity of it and the guy whose garage we use got his heart rate up higher than he had in a long time, so I guess it was successful. I think I'll take CC#5 or #6 over to them for the future.

Still have DH to work out on the Bowflex. Seems funny me not having to do AbX on the same day that he works out. After all, it is my Recovery Week.

Traci, very interesting on doing Slim Series. I read on Video Fitness forum that one gal always does SS after P90X and gets great results. I did a SS rotation once and really liked my arms, they were smaller than now, but defined. Debbie's leg workouts are very effective for me. I saw results when I used them and didn't have to pump a lot of iron either. Gosh, I am soooo procrastinating on coming up with a rotation, aren't I?

Lea, I am sooo pleased that you are enjoying Cardio Coach. I think the guys at the bike spin class were surprised at the intensity of CC#4, though they would have liked a longer workout (I think). I can't wait to try Tracey Staehle's core workout and will definitely report. The Hardcore ladies say that it's a toughie, long, but you can do segments instead. I may very well end up starting another rotation. Just have to give it a break for a while. I am soooo looking forward to good biking weather so that I can do CC#6. I listened to Candace's workout and it was a toughie.

Sandra, I'm thinking modifying the cardio for sure on the next P90X rotation. I also wonder about the results I'll get just by eating better in the future. Right now, I just want to finish healthy and injury free. It's almost TTOM so I'm not as lean as I'd like, nor picture ready. So glad you are enjoying Shiva. Talk about flexible! I honestly did one of the meditation things and fell asleep, it was that relaxing. I just love the sound of the waves lapping. Do you have any other yoga favorites (besides Tony?)

Tracy, I had 2 pieces of Dove dark today myself. what can I say?

Debra, when you mentioned lobster bisque, I immediately thought of Sophia, with her gorgeous smile and Tony's reminder that he hoped it was healthy. Chicklets! Rants, not offended in the least. I look forward to your posts too. Priceless, the look that must have been on your DH's face when he saw you praying with the priests!! LOL!!!

DH just got done with his workout on the Bowflex and with free weights. He's shrinking!!! He did a bunch of crunches on the Bowflex for his abs and then I had him hold planks - 2 45 second intervals and one 1 minute session. He did fabulous. A few months ago, a 30 second session would have had him trembling like crazy. I'm really proud of him.

Got to go finish watching The Italian Job. Hopefully, the power won't go out again. Don't think it will. We will be having nice weather into the 50's this weekend. Hooray!
