Xers...Its a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

Okay, I was told I look like Sheirk only he’s green I’m brown.
Don't laugh, remember when he drank that magic portion, oh la la....la..la. la.la:) :+

Best compliment I EVER and I mean ever got. I was at my Dermatologist and both ladies kept going on and on, I look like Halle Berry, Yeah Right. But for that the day, I was like cool, yeah right. Never……ever heard that one before and never heard it sincex(

Ain’t but one LOVELY Halle Berry and I haven’t seen anyone that look like her yet, or come close. She Beautiful.

Most people, stop me and say do I know you, did you go to…..well someone looks like… you have a twin…….

Oh, American Idol, a few years ago when Fantasia won. That’s was when she was competing again brown skin lady with short hair, I never seen her wasn’t watching the show then. Everywhere I went people was you look like her.

When I did see her, I was like okay, same hair cut, same complexion. I still wear my hair short, aint never growing that back.

Been there and done the scale so many times that I never get on one anymore.

Why did you get on that scale? You cannot do that when you are trying to train hard to gain muscle. Sounds like you are not psychologically at a point where you can watch the scale go up, even if you are more muscular and fit. Don't you know that muscle weighs more than fat?

Try to rationalize and use common sense to get past this. Are your clothes tight? If you take other measurements, are they up in the right places and down in the right places? If so, OK, if not then you do have something to worry about.

You are going to have to overcome the old "number" demons. If you can't, then you are either going to have to stop lifting heavy or throw away your scale. Otherwise you are constantly going to be unhappy which is untimately self defeating, because it causes us to do things that are detrimental to our overall goal; i.e. it is a self fulfilling prophesy to support the negative thoughts. (There is literature to support this.)

If you just want to be skinny, then you are going to have to train to be "skinny."

Tracy,
I know, my DH asks me why the heck I get on that scale. I do it with a lot less frquency than I use to.
My clothes are feeling tighter than they were before. Not a ton, but a little. I wll measure when I get back from vacation to see if there is a difference from last month.
I know muscle weighs more than fat, I was just hoping all of the fat would be gone by now:) I figure if I'm gaining weight at this point, I'm gaining size and that's not what I want. When I'm done with P90X I'm going to try a few of Cathe's slimming rotations to see if that helps with the mass I've gained. I want muscle but not size, if that makes sense:p

Hi, everyone! I'm home! (And so happy). It's been a good business week and now I can come home and revel in it for a couple of days. Exhausted though. Had to catch the 6:40 a.m. flight out of Biciaoston which meant getting to the airport at 5:40 a.m.

Was out with wonderful clients, though, which makes all the difference, and all of our press meetings went well.

I love the question of the day!

Most often I get told I look like Patricia Heaton, especially in the Albertsons ads. I was told a time or two that I look like Ann Archer. I'll take the Patricia Heaton one, though. My ears definiely don't look like hers, but she's nice and fit so I like that part.

Dear Nicole, yes, we have all been there... some of us still ARE there... we can relate, and I say ditto to all of Traci's remarks. She has some wonderful suggestions, as always.

Sandra, great workout. I'm impressed!

Amy, glad you wear that HRM or the crazy week could get you discouraged, eh? Nice to keep it all in perspetive.

Traci, I hope you're having a wonderful week. I mentioned your DH to the editor of a channel publication in Boston and he'd love to connect. I'll e-mail you more about that later.

Teddygirl, hang in there, gal!! You'll be okay!! I'm sending you hugs.

Wendy, thanks for your great spirit and zest, as always.

Tracy, you too!!

No workout yet today. I will probably just have to pass for the day and pick up the ball again tomorrow morning.

Have a great evening, everyone!!

Hi you lovely ladies....Sorry I never got back for personals today...but I was busy pretty much all day. Will again be busy tomorrow since they are loading me tomorrow..then we all head to a hotel. I do have internet service there...so hopefully I will get around to visit tomorrow night. No workout for me tomorrow. Unless you count cleaning out the basement a workout.

Okay...gotta get to bed....with DD who is sleeping with me tonight. Wish me luck...usually I end up black and blue after a night with her!!

Nicole, Utah just had a microburst storm this morning. I would suggest coming prepared for any kind of weather this Friday - not sure how soon it will pass and during the night last night there was actually SNOW.

If you're going to be in Lehi, you'll be only 15 minutes from me.
I'll think about you! XOXOXOXO!

Good chilly evening!

Yes, house is cold. I'm sitting here with a heating pad on my feet. We have backup heat in the house but it's electric baseboard heat so we don't turn it on as we have furniture in front of it, plus it would be very expensive. I like this heating pad on my feet, toasty.

Got in a very short spin on my bike tonite. Still a bit breezy and on the colder side. Just rode to my parents house, visited with them for a while and rode back home. Tomorrow should be nicer still and I'm hoping for a tough hill climb.

Sandra, I'm always surprised at SJP too. I need to do that one soon. Thanks for the idea for the Imax2 Blasts Only premix. It's a good one. Recovery was just enough inbetween the blasts. How long does the whole premix take? I only did about 5 blasts plus the warmup and think it was around 20-25 minutes.

Wendy, I hope the eval goes okay. Have them call me, I'll tell them what a good mother/teacher you are. They wouldn't dare fail you. Sending out good vibes.

Teddygirl, thanks for letting me know about the PS series. I should go view the clips one of these days. I'm looking forward to Cathe's new 4 day split. Hope your sister makes a turn for the better soon.

Nicole, I feel your pain re: the scale. How do you look in the mirror? How do your clothes feel? I have not been weighing myself as much (very little in fact), and have much less stress about that. I think I also would sabotage myself if my weight was down that day. I just look in the mirror at my upper body (don't like my legs so I don't look at them much) after a workout and before showering in the morning. It sets a much better tone for my day. When I was done with P90X, I did a Slim Series rotation and liked the results very much. I already have muscle, I'm really not concerned with building more on my short little arms and legs. The SS rotation just defined my muscles and tightened them up so they actually looked smaller and less puffy, if you catch my drift. The Auburn Triathlon was a blast, I too loved the scenery in it. I hope we can do it again next year or some other ones. A swimmer I am not, nor a runner either. My bike is a Trek 5200, carbon fiber and I love it. Traci and Tracy have excellent advice, I don't know how many times they helped me out during my round of the X.

Amy, glad you enjoyed your Gym class. I think $20 is a decent price, even if you only go several times a month. It's a nice change I'm sure. Sorry the dinner with your friend didn't work out. She probably did want to spend time with her BF.

Got to go now, hands are cold now but feet are warm. It's going to be a 2 Dog Night I can tell. Was last night too.
