Xers: Happy HolidayMONDAY (for some)!

Don't worry. We did Chest and Back.:7 For some odd reason, I kept thinking it was BB. I wasn't thrilled to be working my back since it was a little sore from yesterday's PH.

Well, it was difficult to mesocycle this dvd as an edurance workout since most are body weight exercises. However, I was able to find the right weights for a burn at 12-15 reps. I probably could have gone heavier, but I don't want to hurt myself on a still full stomach on Day 1 TTOM and Day 1 of the X at 10PM!!!

Phil was sooo funny. I miss working out with him. He forgot to pace himself. During Round 2, I was still going with push-ups while he was lying on the floor, crying for his Mommy!}( During ARX, I kept saying, "I'm not doing (crunchy frogs, heels to heaven, V roll-ups)!" Then Phil would jokingly tell me that I didn't deserve to go on an Xer Retreat. So, I proved him wrong and did them ALL!!!:p A third of the way through heels to heaven, he was whining while trying to breath, "I don't get to go on an Xer Retreat," pause for breaths, "I don't get to drink wine from all over the world." Then his face turned red and he plopped down all out of breath from whining and a weak core! ROFLOL Gosh, I loved it!

I'll catch up on personals tomorrow before Plyometrics. It is Plyo, right?:+ I'll be too tired to workout tomorrow with Phil since it's Bible Club day. Other people's kids tire me out!!!:7

Sweet Dreams!!!!:* :* :*

Hi everyone,
Sitting here with DH and yes, it's something military like on TV right now. Viet Nam I think. Whatever, but at 8 pm I'm turning on the Tour of California. Hoping that we have satellite at the hotel. I'll be leaving tomorrow around noon and will either return on Thursday night or Friday around noon. I'm taking my laptop so hoping that I'll be able to check in on that. Wish me luck!

Of course, this morning about the time I was going to pop in my workout DVD, my BIL got up so nixed that plan. We all went out for breakfast, which was really nice. Sis and BIL then left to visit with my other sister so DH and I went home and I did Leaner Legs and boy, it was a goodie. I also added on the abs from Leaner Legs. Then, I got an email that there would be an outdoor bike ride with the Garage Boys. I joined up with the fellas, but told them ahead of time that I would only be riding with them for a short time, then returning on my own. That's basically what I did. My legs are truly fatigued now.

Debra, we had a wonderful time over at Mom and Dad's. Big group, lots of visiting, reminiscing, planning new stuff to do this spring/summer. DS and DH and my brother had a good time on the desert playing with the quads, but it was pretty muddy out there. DH took some pictures and I loaded them and sent them to DS, no doubt he will enjoy. I haven't read ahead to find out how your class was today. Did you have a presentation? Guess I'll read about it soon. I am fine just the way I am... Love it! Glad I won't have to share Wendy's shoes with you. LOL! Hope you don't have a cold. Think good thoughts, allergies or dry air or something else. I keep getting the slightly scratchy sore throat but nothing develops. Ooooh, I see now that it's a full blown one. Please take it easy, okay?

Laurie, hope Cami is feeling better today. Who hasn't gotten up in the middle of the night to step in something wet, or warm or stinky? Part of being a pet owner I guess. Smart not to drive on that slippery ice if you don't have to. We're going to get some more weather this week, but hopefully the snow will stay in the mtns. I didn't get to watch the Daytona race as I went cycling in the morning, then came home and watched a bike race. Just too busy I guess. DH wasn't hope anyway and he's really the driving force for watching the car races. You are so close to being a XXXer! Way to go! Do you do anything to prepare for better volleyball? Wouldn't it be fun if Debra had a volleyball that we could play pepper with on the retreat? I haven't played in so long I'd probably hurt myself, but hey! I've read some comments where some people are going to miss having the same cast for STS, but I think change is good! And those fellas may attract more men to work out.

Wendy, the broccoli casserole was well received! It was not too oniony, just nicely flavored. It was not too runny. I prepared it in the house and then put it in a dutch oven and took over to Mom & Dad's and cooked it outside with the dutch oven (briquets on top on bottom). I had some more of it tonite, along with a some chopped chicken stirred into it. Grandma really liked it and even commented on it. She's saying less and less lately. Mom's going to check with the dr. to see if there is anything they can give to boost her appetite. She's losing weight and has no reserves on her body. I think the time is getting closer. My sisters are seeing it too. About 20 years ago, I popped a 4-wheeler over backwards on a steep hill. I had my nephew with me at the time. We were unhurt, but boy, I hate going up steep hills now. The fellas had a good time, though the desert is still wet and snowy. So, did you find the P90X info for Phil? It sounds like when my DH finally starts a new project. It's like we are eating breakfast at the table and all of a sudden, he wants to start tearing down a wall and I'm not prepared at all! However, I adjust as I definitely don't want to discourage any productivity.

Sandra, the Tinkerbell cake is so cute and very professional! I would have a hard time working so hard on something and then eating it. Did you have DOMS in your chest and back today? I'm finally feeling what Traci is always commenting on about her DOMS. I've been concentrating on going lower with my squats and lunges. Plie squats are pitiful. I try to go down as low as I can but it's not far. Leaner Legs is one tough little workout.

Traci, love your workout room and the new mirrors! Is Wendell still working out or is he resting his back. Thanks for the heads up on the blog pictures! Wow, those guys have guns! I'm liking that they have some new cast members. Any day now I'll be ordering. The bike ride yesterday was wonderful! Think we did 29 miles at a pretty much steady state pace. It was all I wanted. Wasn't planning on riding today as I planned instead on doing Leaner Legs. However, a challenge from one of the guys that I talk trash with was out, so I had to show up at least. I hung with with pretty well in the pace line for about 10 miles, so ended on a good note. Think the extra leg work is making a difference.

Tracy, good going on upping your reps today. Amazing how we can take a rest and come back even stronger. Hope you are all done with your cold. They are giving flu shots at work tomorrow for staff members, but I think I'll pass. I haven't had an actual flu bug since the early 90's I think. I'll take my chances. DS took the trailer with the 4-wheelers into town and hosed off all the mud. I didn't see any muddy clothes in the house. Think they changed in the garage and DS borrowed clean clothes from DH. I love having freshly cut and colored hair. Enjoy!

Nicole, hope you enjoyed your time alone. Did you have the Chinese food after all?

Kim, sure hoping you don't have a sinus infection. Ouch on the downward dogs. Nice you could sit at home during the conference call. Ouch also on the broken tooth. Not sure if that's normal, I've never had one...yet.

Well, the Tour of California is on right now, so will post this and pay attention. Scenery is beautiful around the Santa Rosa area. 3 other gals and myself did a camping/cycling trip in the wine country a few years ago. It was so much fun!

Jeanette

Interval X kicked my butt today! I was LOL because my DS was watching and he would say, "Mommy you're going to slow and they're ahead of you". It kind of motivated me to work harder and make sure he isn't around to give me pointers anymore:D

Hey, I almost did an unassisted chin up today! I know, I know, you probably can't believe I can't do one but I am wimpy in that for some reason. I try to do it about 10 times a day so I know I'll do it at some point but it may be a bit:p DH laughs at my inability but I have to remind him I'm a woman and we're supposed to be a little softer than our strong men.

#1 & #2 DS's are sick again!! #1 has a horrid cough and #2 has a fever, runny nose and coughx( Will it ever end?

My, my you all were chatty yesterday! We usually take it easy on Sundays and it was quite the opposite this week:) I may be here a while:p

For all of those inquiring minds I decided not to derail myself and chose to not eat Chinese food. I figured the bloat wouldn't be worth the taste.

Traci, You are too funny! I agree that the men of STS will be a little distracting:p So how does your back feel? Any serious DOMS yet? Love the workout room. I wish I could have one. Maybe in ten years when the oldest goes off to college. Oh, never mind the other two are in there too. I guess it will be 15 then:p By the way I do like my name as it perfectly describes my life as of late. I hope to rectify that soon though and I shall be known as the Queen of Calm! Maybe after a facial and massage at the retreat:) Aren't you excited about the STS nutrition and tracking program all coming together? I bet they would be great learning tools for your clients. You'll sound even more educated than you are and you'll look hotter too:D I take it you got lost in a pile of bills, huh?

Wendy, Glad to know AF came to visit and you all are on the same page:) I'm sure wasn't as thrilled about it as you;) You know I told my friend who went to Africa to bring me back a parasite so I could lose weight. I told her it would be all the rage in America for quick weight loss:p LOL, how did you get a workout in with all of the giggling? I am glad you have DH to workout with and make it a little less monotonous. I really do have to remember to enjoy this time with the wee ones. They are growing so fast! My oldest will be 9 next week and I can't believe it.

Tracy, Sounds like you'll have a workout partner thanks to the men of STS. I'm glad to hear you were feeling so much better today. I bet it felt good to start seeing improvement again. This cold/flu thing just hangs on like crazy!

Debra, Sounds like CBL is a keeper! How nice to have someone around to help you out for a change. I was thinking about the teacher's pet today and wondered if you would be done with school by the time we came. Do you have class on Fridays? I see you have been attacked by the wicked sickness too:( I hope it retreats soon so you can be on the top of your game. Thanks for doing so much of the footwork for us for the retreat. I feel like I need to be helping with something. Let me know if there's anything I can do from here. Squeeze was probably a good choice in your current state. Are you going back to heavy when the cold has left? I was thinking of doing that too in a couple weeks. Only 1-1/2 more weeks and I'm done with this round:)

Jeanette, Glad you are having an enjoyable time with your family. How long is your sister there for? Glad you were able to get your workout in still. I'm glad you said something about the Tour because DH is sitting right here and I reminded him it was on. He quickly flipped over and set it to record. We were wondering whether Ivan Basso and Jan Ulrich would be returning to The Tour this year. It was odd last year without them so we're hoping they're going to be back in it. Glad to hear you are enjoying the same beautiful weather!

Laurie, Wow, it sounds like you have a newborn in the house with Cami's frequent potty trips:p Is she all better today? Hey, we're almost to the end! Are you anxious to start a new rotation? Did you get the plus workouts, I don't remember? Do you know what rotation you're going to do or are you just going to wing it for awhile? I saw the Early Show up in WI today and I felt just awful for all of you up there. I think he said it had snowed more days than not in the last month and a half:(

Kim, Sorry to hear this sinus thing is still dragging you down:( I hate getting head colds! I am really trying to fend off this bug because it's a killer! I hope you get well soon. Make sure to get lots of sleep so you can be 100% again soon:) Sounds like DS's game was a nail biter! Those are always the best to watch.

Lea, :( Sorry you have been sucked into the web of germs! I'm afraid all of this reading about it will wear off on me:p Rest well and take it as easy as you can with 2 boys. Is DH back to work and happy?

Sandra, I thought the TB cake was too cute! You must be a patient woman to do that. My mom is in a pastry/baking class and is loving it. She wanted me to take it with her but it is a full semester of Tuesday night classes which are three hours. I told her maybe when the kids are all in school we could take one during the day. Don't you just love the upper plus workout? I really like it and look forward to it every week.

Latrese, Hope you enjoyed your long weekend!

Ok, I have to go because DS is hacking up a lung and has been for the past 1-1/2 hours. It's going to be another long night of restless sleepx(

Nicole

Bring it!!!
