Morning gals!

I just had 2 ads come out so will be working on web today in-between clients.... See ya all tomorrow or very late tonight....
Have clients at 330AM, 830AM, 4PM:7

Hi all,

Today is some cardio and yoga. I am so glad it is Friday.

Everyone was quiet yesterday. I did get a chance to read, but no time to post. I went to work, then to pick up the business taxes and then to class.

Debra - Be strong dear woman! You can do it!

Jeanette - I hope you feel better.

Traci - I just don't know how you go on such little sleep.

Tracy

Good morning, my Xer friends! Hope everyone is feeling well...or at least better than yesterday. I have survived the first meeting with XDH...and I won't have to see him again until later this afternoon. Things were fine...it is just stressful for me...in fact I feel like puking...or what is it that Sandra says...'ralphing'? Anyhoo, it's over...Now I just need to go make my presentation at school. Then I can take it easy for a few hours. DD has a sleepover tonight for another friend's birthday, so she is excited about that. And I have Kenpo on the books for today...so I will do that this afternoon.

Tracy....
I AM WOMAN!!! Have fun with cardio and yoga today...And have a great weekend....hopefully you will feel a little more relaxed then.

Traci...
Gracious...Sounds like a busy and LONG day for you!! Sending good website vibes your way!!!

Jeanette....
Nice of DH to come home and start the fire. I am glad he has a side job to tide him over until summer. I think the anxiety about XDH is worse than the visit itself. We don't have anything major to discuss right now, so it should be fine...and we will be in the company of others whenever we see each other, so there won't be any yelling or anything like that...Just does a number on my nerves.

Okay..that catches me up for now...I got to everyone else last night. I hope I can put off my presentation until Monday...Maybe I will be a little more focused then. Ugh. At least I get to see CBL tonight...We are going to get some Mexican take out and watch the ACC tournament. Should be relaxing.....Hope I don't take his head off again!!

Later gators!!

Morning!
Today was Supersets, the absolute whole thing (except stretching at end). I kind of floundered thru the explosive lunges (still not up to speed on cardio moves yet) and it was lots of fun. Have the dinner to make for the folks when I get home tonite. Will save some tamale pie and salad for DH.

Traci, sorry about the web pages. Do you do all the work on it yourself or does your DH help? How long is a training session with each client? When is Wendell's mouth surgery?

Tracy, enjoy your cardio today. I'm a little better this morning, but still have quite a ways to go to feeling normal.

Debra, knew you would get thru the meeting with XDH. You will do fine for the rest. Know the presentation will be good too. Bet DD is getting excited about her birthday party. What does ACC stand for? Awesome Cheesecake? Enjoy that Mexican food tonite and hope CBL understands your nerves and doesn't take too much offense.

BBL,

Jeanette

Good Morning Ladies,

On tap for today: S&A (abs worked already!)

After S&A is completed, we're going out of town for the weekend. I'll don't know how much I'll be able to text considering I'm all thumbs. But, I'll be able to enjoy reading every one's weekend posts!

Traci: Good for you getting your ducks in order. Can't have potential clients not be able to give you $$!

Tracy: How did your meeting go yesterday? No nasty parents, I hope.

Debra: What about XDH's visits cause you to stress so much? Are you nervous that he'll start arguing with you or say something he hasn't already said? When I made the decision to divorce him, I couldn't give a rat's a$$ what he thought of how I looked. In fact, I would purposefully look like crap just so he'd have an easier time letting go of any delusions of a reconciliation.}( However... a few years after our divorce, I couldn't stand talking to my ex because his tone of voice and custody disputes. Of course, the ex didn't think there was anything wrong with his tone. Anyhow, Phil would make drop off and pick up arrangements with the ex. I think I went a couple of years without having to see ex's face or hear his annoying voice. Could your mom be the go-between for you? Poor CBL... works all day and night mulching and watering your gardens. }( :+

Okay ladies, off I go to open yesterday's threads.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Traci: Did you get your CTX and TLT mish-mosh accomplished? I'm not a very clean eater. I think going away helped me desire home cooked foods. I figure if I'm going to cook, I might as well do the best that I can with what little I know. The fast food OD thread helped push me in that direction. ROF on doubling Sandra's dh's workout!!! Will you have time to get a workout in today? I suggest doing some spine lengthening yoga to help relieve the stress of sitting at the computer. But, a nap probably sounds better. Get some rest!

Teddygirl: Happy Birthday Ted!!!! Will he be cooking his birthday meal tonight?:+ Best wishes finding a decent mechanic. Have you asked around for any recommendations? Places like Goodyear and Jiffy Lube usually charge a premium as an independent, reputable mechanic would for the same work. Glad you weren't hurt when that tire blew! Scary!!!

Netta: After I'm finished with personals, I'll locate my recipe and get started with typing up an email. You know, on second thought, I'm probably the worst person to give nagging tips considering how my kitchen isn't even finished. I better start pestering dh. Now that I'm cooking more, maybe he's afraid to take the kitchen away from me to finish. LOL How sweet of the Captain to start the fire for you. How's he holding up with the work? I feel for men like him and dh. Their bodies take a beating with the jobs they do.

Laurie: I feel like I do better with push-ups than weighted chest work. Maybe, it's because I suck with weighted chest work!!!! Ah, how is dd feeling today? Is she still carting around a box of tissues? I don't know if we are thinking about the same pleating machine. Mine is the smocking kind with a ton of needles. It gathers the fabric. But it doesn't make pleated fabric. I don't know how to pleat fabric except with an iron. LOL I got it to make cute smocked dresses for the girls. I guess I'll have to wait to use it for any grandbabies. Wow! Your dh sews fast! My sewing is sooo slow. Then again, I didn't learn how to sew until I was in my 20's.

Sandra: Did you get a new bike?!?! I'm making your salmon recipe this weekend. I'll let you know what the boys think.

Nicole: Thanks for reminding me to make a follow-up orthodontist appointment for dd. Healthy eating... I'm shocking myself too!!! I only plan meals a couple of days in advance. Makes life easier to take it day by day. Oh, hon. I don't know what to say about your dh telling you how to manage your day. It would make me feel like shutting him off for life!!! sigh

Carol: Yes, I need to email you, and Jeanette, and a handful of other people. Sorry to hear about your mom. Hopefully, this is just a season in her life that she'll soon outgrow.

Debra: What! I have to COOK Thai food!!!! I thought you said a specialty dish. I was planning on making CC!:p :7 Sending you Awesome Presentation Vibes!!! You won't need it since you're so uber prepared and such a star student. Do you still talk to yourself in the morning? How's that go? I am beautiful... I am WOMAN!:+

I'm off to get a couple emails written.

Ballistic Hugs to ALL!
Wendy

Good morning,

Workout done. P90X Chest & Back, ARX. I'm subbing the P90X upper body weight works for one go-round each of SH and GS, in the Feb rotation. So, in the month I'll do SH, P90X CB&SA; GS; P90X CST&BB.

Due to AF's arrival and eating lots of beans in the last couple of days it feels like I swallowed a water balloon. During the oblique v-ups in ARX I could hear the liquid jiggling around. Ugh. Not comfortable.

Traci....Got that web page fixed yet? You're quite the talented person, to be tech savvy AND physically fit! You're a jock-nerd which is surely an oxymoron (you're not a moron, that's a term used to define two words that contradict each other).

Tracy....Happy Friday.

Debra....Thank heavens the dreaded first encounter is over!! Good luck with your presentation today. I know you'll do great.

Jeanette....SuperSets: fun!! Tamale pie: delicious!!

Wendy....Have a great weekend, where ever you plan to go (your in-law's?). I'll be making that salmon tonight. I hope your boys like it. Yes, I did buy the bike! According to Jeanette, it was a good find. DH rewarded himself for his great find by ordering himself a brand new custom built bike.

Suuuure, we can afford to pay for 2 new bikes but not a flight to Debra's. The main difference is that the money spent on the bikes benefit both of us, and we have the bikes for years to come. But no, there will not be any family vacation again this year. Peter and I will just have to take turns riding our bikes around the block a few times, while the other one watches the kids. Maybe we'll have french fries afterwards, so we can give it all an international flair.

Hello to Laurie (how are you enjoying the Feb rotation?), Teddygirl (Happy B-day to Ted), Carol, Kim (we'll have to talk more about the Edmonton marathon!), Nicole (enjoy your weekend alone), Lea (swiiiiing batta!), and whomever else I missed.

Cheers,
SandraXX

Morning Xers,

Rotation: Cathe Feb08/Week 1/Day 6
Workout: SH Legs & Shoulders (done)

I still want to get in a run today, and I'm hoping to get that in after work. See how my legs feel later today, otherwise I will do the run in the morning.

Wonderful day we are having her so far today. The sun is blazing in the sky, and I'm looking forward to more of this snow melting. :D

Have youngest DD's First Communion on Sunday, we are just going to go to a resturant after church. That way I don't have to clean up after a party. :D

Cami's doggie daycare has grooming available, and I took advantage of it yesterday. The total cost was only $40, couldn't pass that up for a wash/dry/nail clipping/ear cleaning/tooth brushing/and a blueberry facial. Yep you heard right a facial for a DOG!!! :D Well at least she smelled and looked good, and the sheading is less. :D

Traci, Hope you where able to get your web page to do a checkout process. Did you actually get any sleep? 12am and then your client at 330am?

Tracy, Glad you are still able to do a fly bye posting. :D Have fun with whatever cardio you pick. Did you get the new PY4H? I still haven't gotten it, but it is on my list.

Debra, Glad the first meeting is over with. Good luck with the presentation, and I will X my fingers that you have it delayed until Monday. Maybe everyone else will volunteer to go today. :D Have a relaxing evening tonight, and forget about you know who. :7

Jeanette, WTG on superset. I don't do that one to often. Have a great time with your parents and GM. :9 I'lll be there in spirit eating that pie. :D Hope that coughing starts to get better for you. Now see I LOVE the push-ups. Used to hate them before I started the X workouts. Now with the help of my Perfect Push-Ups, they are my favorite exercise.

Wendy, Have a great weekend. DD was much better today, yesterday she looked so pathetic. :D I think that she must have slept a lot yesterday, which is good for her. They actually have a machine that does the pleating for those dresses? I never knew that. I love how those dresses look. Glad the yoga turned out to be for the best. :D

Sandra, I will remember not to get into a bean craving. Doesn't sound like lots of fun. :( So far I am enjoying the Feb rotation, with the few changes I am incorporating. :D I like how you have inserted the P90X weight work into the rotation too. I was looking at that and wondering if it would work ok. Let me know how it goes.

Nicole, KM really does work those legs good. Did you do the drills without the chair? Sandra suggested doing it that way, and I thought why not. It really worked the legs good. Glad you are able to get some more me time. What do the boys do in the desert? :D

Carol, So sorry that your Mom has gone crazy on you. My MIL does that to DH when she gets into a depression, which usually is around the holidays. I nursed my DD's too, so I know of what you speak. :D

TG, Sorry your car is requiring such a large chunk of $$$$. The cake really sounds good "Chocolate" and then double it. :D

Well ladies, I am so chipper this morining (and to think I am PMS'ing). Maybe it is because it if Friday, and the sky is not crying snow. :D I do all the billing for our facility, and just in the month of Feb we spent 78K on snowplowing/salting our lot. On a normal month it is usually spend around 40K. Our budget didn't allow for that big of a difference. x(

Have a great day!

Laurie

Hi ladies...Just sitting here watching basketball....so I thought I would catch up a bit! After the Carolina game I will head up for my workout. I had my presentation this morning....which went well...and then I came home a took a little siesta since I didn't sleep very well last night. Just had a little lunch...so I will let that digest a bit before tackling Kenpo.

personals.....

Wendy...
No...my dear...you don't have to make Thai food...You can make whatever your little heart desires! And I don't know why visits from XDH bother me so much....There are a lot of different reasons, I guess....He made me feel for years that I wasn't good enough...didn't keep the house clean enough...didn't keep myself up enough...inferior in a lot of ways. I completely realize that I allowed him to make me feel that way...but it is hard not to want everything to be perfect when he is here...just to show him that I can make it without him. Also (think you were out of the country during all of this)...He is being a real bas**ard about our separation agreement...which still isn't signed by the way...so I also feel like I have to be nice to him since he is still controlling my money right now...I don't want to piss him off because I would be in a real mess if I didn't have some of his salary coming in. Keep in mind, he lives in Russia...It is not like our courts can make him pay meif he decides he doesn't want to. I know all about the 'tone' you are talking about...I got it on the phone last night. He won't do that in front of anyone, but I get all kinds of verbal abuse over the phone. I am not at a point yet that my mom can run interference because of the whole separation agreement thing. I know....Poor CBL working his little fingers to the bone for me...and then I'm mean...Oh, well. He has spent his morning at work sending me recipes for me to make for him as pay back for all the yard work...lol. Silly man! I even have him signing his emails 'CB' now...funny.

Jeanette...
WooHoo! On completing the SS!! You will be back to your normal self in a couple of days. Have fun with the parents and grandma tonight. I will be thinking of that tamale pie!! DD is WILD about her party...to the point of bouncing around like a little bunny all the time. ACC is the Atlantic Coast Conference...I LOVE college basketball!!

Sandra....
ROF about the beans!!! I hate that feeling of the sloshing sound while you are trying to workout....It can be a bit distracting....lol. I also got a real kick picturing your vacation cycling around the neighborhood. Maybe Jeanette can send you the tamale pie recipe for day #2!

Laurie...
Wow...you guys have had a ton of snow this year!!! My goodness. Glad Cami enjoyed her spa day yesterday...I am trying to picture the blueberry facial...and just the thought cracks me up! No one else volunteered to go today...so I had to do my presentation...but I was feeling a bit better by the time I got going on it. I threw candy out to the class so I got lots of participation. And I got rid of all the extra candy from DD's goodie bags for her party!

Hope everyone else is having a good day. I cannot WAIT to get out of town next week. I really need the break...and to be with my BFF for a few days. I really miss her, but our schedules have been pretty hectic for the past couple of months and we haven't been able to hook up. Have a great afternoon all!!

Hi all,

Laurie - I can't imagine there still being snow on the ground. Forty dollars seems real reasonable for the dog grooming.

Jeanette - The strength does come back after you are sick. It is funny how a virus can just ravage the body. I hope you feel better soon. I always forget about those workouts ss&pp and doing them as produced. They are good workouts.

Wendy - The meeting went ok. We all did a dog and pony show and pretended that the child's behaviors are not that serious, even though they are. Again, we are just perpetuating a nasty cycle, but to say otherwise would have just made Mom mad. The child came to MS with nasty behaviors that are 10+ years old. They will be hard to extinguish.

Sandra - I'm excited that you are getting a bike. I would have had a hard time shelling out 700 for a ticket to the retreat too. We'll miss you, but the bikes will last longer; especially if you have a memory like mine.

Debra - Keep up the strong front, no matter what. I know you can do it. I'm here in VA cheering you on. I lived with the not good enough through my entire childhood. It is no fun.

Off to do what will resemble a run. It's almost 70, I"ll be panting like a dog, and I haven't run in a few weeks. It's time to get back in the groove. I have been feeling pudgy all week and cut my calorie intake just a little. I'm sure that won't help my performance:)

Tracy

Hi all...Just back to report that I survived the second meeting with XDH...I had to listen to him talk about work for 30 minutes...I know that he is just trying to be honest about his situation...but at the same time..it is hard for me to listen to...as he kind of walks around and inspects the house...ugh. Anyhoo, the diva is off to her sleepover. So, I am off to meet CBL in another hour or so.

I really just came by to brag about my workout today....I did Kenpo...then added on the standing and lying core work from 4DS KB and THEN I added on the KM leg conditioning drills...with (drum roll please) ankle weights!!! I know all of you leg fanatics will be proud of me...So, I just wanted to share....

Well...I am off to relax a bit before I hop in the shower. Hope everyone has a great evening....

Kisses to all!

After hat I did some shopping:) I trimmed my brothers hair, worked out and now I have to shower and get ready to go out to dinner and more shopping with my BFF:D

So much to do and so little time. I will come for a decent chat tomorrow when the men are out of here:D

:* back later

Nothing to exciting going on here. I did another doubles workout today and that always seems to really tire me out. ( chest/back, ARX and Cardio Coach #3) Everyone seems tired around here so we're having a nice relaxing evening. I just purchase 3 more cardio coaches (5, 6 with Sean and 7).

For all those that all interested, ds and his friends are going to the regional science fair with their project.

Nicole Isn't it funny how it's okay for people to mention how thin people are but it would be politically incorrect to say anything if they were overweight. Yes, I'm trying to do doubles (running) to get some initially training in for the half marathon in June.

Debra- How sweet of CB to do your yard for you! A whole acre that's really nice. Hope you get a chance to enjoy your mom's and dd's birthdays even with the stress of XDH around. How did your presentation go?

wendy are the calves getting better? That's great that you could find clothes to fit for your dd in Thailand maybe I should go on a shopping trip LOL I get so sick of sewing her waist bands to make them tighter and it never looks that good. Enjoy your weekend away!

Teddygirl Teddy and I almost the same age. I'll be 39 :-( on Monday.
Thanks goodness you weren't hurt in the blowout.

Tracy- Glad the meeting went okay that's so sad that you can't be completely truthful with the mom. Hope you enjoyed your run.

Sandra- Enjoy the new bike! Is it nice enough in Edmonton to ride it yet?

Jeanette I got Step Heaven and tried it once and never again, too much work to learn the choreography, is it worth spending the time to learn it?I've never had tamale pie, sounds good. Would love to see the recipe. The cozy fire sounds nice especially when you're not feeling well.

Laurie Hope dd is feeling better soon. DS sure is coughing and complaining of a sore throat today. I hear you on doing different chest work I'm really looking forward to doing chest flys and presses instead of pushups. I do want to try Cathes GS Chest/Triceps to see if I can do the drop set of pushups after I finish P90X. Glad to hear that some of your snow is melting, we had a few days of melting here this week but it's cold again today.

Carol oh goodness it sounds like you have some family issues going on with your mom. I'm so glad that your sister was okay

Traci Is the website for your business? Is there a link for it? Wtg on the new client! Are you upset about the fight with Wendell? Maybe a weekend apart is a good thing.

Good night, Kim

Hi ladies,
Slow day on the thread I see. Maybe we're all just preparing for our exciting weekends. I really don't have anything great planned, but DH will be working tomorrow so I can just take my time and enjoy my workout. Ahhhhhh bliss!!!! Hoping to get on my bike on Sunday for a ride and then have a golf game with the prison priest (Father Tony) after work on Monday. Think maybe our associate warden and his wife will be joining us too. A foursome. His wife doesn't have one of her legs (a prosthesis) but still golfs. I'm looking forward to meeting her.

Okay, here is the tamale pie. It turned out well and Mom, Dad and Grandma really enjoyed it, even going for seconds. I'll also include the taco salad recipe, which was greatly enjoyed too.

Tamale Pie

1 can chicken or any cooked and chopped chicken pieces
2 1/2 cans chicken or beef tamales (remove papers and chop into small pieces)
1 can pitted olives
1 or 2 cans creamed corn
1 package powdered taco seasoning
1 cup grated cheese

Mix all ingredients except grated cheese together. Pour into greased casserole dish. Top with grated cheese. Bake at 375 degrees until hot (approx. 60 minutes).

Southwestern Salad

1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 bunch green onions with tops, sliced
1 large tomato, seeded and chopped
1 avocado, chopped
1 bottle (8 oz) Catalina salad dressing, divided
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 medium head lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
4 cups corn chips

In a large salad bowl, toss together the beans, green onions, tomato, avocado and 1/2 of the Catalina dressing. Top with cheese and then lettuce. Refrigerate. Just before serving, add corn chips to salad and toss. Pass the remaining dressing. Yield 8-10 servings

Wendy, we will miss you this weekend. Hoping you can find some time to check in with us. DH is doing fine. He's working all day tomorrow. He hasn't had to work any overtime since starting at the prison last September. Now he's back in the real world. Starting next week I imagine he'll be home at normal hours. Will be nice for him not to have to inventory every tool used, will be able to wear his leatherman tool, wear blue jeans.

Sandra, hope the bloated feeling is easing up. I usually have that gassy feeling right before I start TTOM. Did you get a chance to hop on the bike today? What a beauty it is for sure! Bikes nowadays are sooooo light. I picked up my old Schwinn Varsity from 1976 and it must weigh 30 pounds. Can't believe I pedaled that thing thru the Rockies in 1977. Heck, back then we never road with cycling shorts, shoes, helmets or special cycling shoes. It was gym shorts, short sleeved shirts and tennies.

Laurie, isn't that sun wonderful after having all that snow? It snowed today here, really blizzarding for a while there, but don't think it will stick, or at least I'm hoping it doesn't. I want to golf on Monday!!! The tamale pie was good, and easy for Grandma to gum. My sister made pork chops the other night for her and they had to cut it up pretty small for her. Coughing is still happening, but only because there is still lots of post nasal drip going on. I need to go to the store tomorrow and get some more cold meds. How can one person produce that much yuck? Way to go on working those legs, and the leg conditioning drills without the chair. Takes a strong core for that for sure. Enjoy the communion and dinner afterwards. I remember First Holy Communion in the Catholic church when I was little. The pretty white dress, hat or veil thing, white shoes and a little white purse.

Debra, way to getting that presentation done. Was it leftover Halloween candy that you threw? Oh, I see it was from the goodie bags. Only a few more days of XDH. You can make it and be in control. Hate to say it, but it's going to be a lot more than a couple days before I'm back to normal. DH would probably say I've never been normal LOL! Great going on the leg workout and with leg weights! Are you crazy? You are making me look bad here LOL!

Tracy, glad the meetings weren't too bad. How did the run go today? You are so strong and determined. Will DS be joining you?

Nicole, glad you could check in today. Sounds like a nice day. Hoping to hear more from you tomorrow. Hope you thoroughly enjoy your weekend :7

Traci, so what did poor Wendell do to get in the doghouse? Maybe the pain from his teeth is affecting his actions? So you had 2 drinks today? I had a nice little glass of wine with Mom tonite. I am sooooo enjoying these evenings and meals with them. They are so very appreciative of my sister and I helping out. My Mom is truly an angel and I'm so blessed to have her. Oh goodie, you don't do the explosive lunges either! Doesn't make me feel too bad. I'm just so easily winded right now. I think it's the swollen airways in the back of my head. Like I don't get enough oxygen in. Wow, another new client? What a great business you have created. Bet Wendell is proud of his wife too.

Kim, nice to see you on here. See above for the tamale pie recipe. Aren't Cardio Coach workouts great? I'm looking forward to feeling well enough to do those again on the bike. I need to do CC#3 sometime soon. I remember liking that one, think it has the sprints on it.

Okay, got to sign off here. Sweet dreams ladies,

Jeanette
