X'ers - ***FRIDAY*** (Finally!)

Cathlete
Morning ladies-
Well this "workout machine" took an unplanned rest day yesterday:-( and finally had aunt flow visit last night and is pondering all the reasons why she can barely move this morning... AF aches & pains? 36 hour DOMS from Barrys Boot Camp legs & butt? The chinese indulgence last night?x(
Have determined that I MUST do cardio this morning and strength as I will not be doing strength at Bay this weekend. So as much as I dont feel like a lengthy workout I will do Rhythmic Step (1 riser)+ Barrys BC Shoulders, Back & yesterdays chest. }(
It will be very quiet around here this weekend! Tracy gone, I'm gone, Debra busy, Jeanette shopping til she drops, Lea chasing Crystal with needles.... Who's going to take charge of party planning so the Xers have some steamy fun the next few days? :7

LAURIE: Thanks for taking the time daily to write such wonderful details on BBC! I thnk you should contract with Barry and make him a little manual!;-) Shoulders looks like just what I like! I really cant wait to get started on that this morning! I'll be doing doubles as well on the 2nd (Monday) - Thanks for feedback on F/B - I'll do BBC F/B next week 2-3X. Maybe that will get me prepared physically.

Sandra: Nice job on workout yesterday... When I read your "Back to report that my workout is done for the day" I must admit I stuck out my tongue at you!:p Quite an abs marathon! Did ya feel the fire like ARX?

Debra: }( 3am was EXACTLY when I got up yesterday- Actually at 2:45! So glad things are at least going well in the house. Tension is never fun...good thinking going to see some friends and maybe have a few laughs! Spring cleaning the DVD stash? You are too funny!

Jeanette: Oh you had me going this morning! I am so visual! That sounds like a Seinfeld episode!!!! You teeny tiny thing- full of brute strength! Was DH impressed?:7 Remind me to never go shopping with you- my credit cards coudnt handle the frenzy}( ! Your hilights sound really pretty... Enjoy them and of course TAKE MORE PICS!

Lea: First things first- Tanks... For me there is NO RUSH! Why dont you give us a total (or approximate total) and we can all shoot you $$$ so you wont have any down time bewtween charging and receiving our loot? Just a thought. I'd be happy to send you a check before I go today if you want to guess-timate it. No worries on time frame! :7 I tend not to get all crazy about things like tank tops these days... Oh I use to be a real loonie tunes but age mellowed me (just like fine wine!)... Now- if it it isnt life or death I say let it all happen when it happens. Life's too short to stress & freak about the un-important things. NO WORRIES!:7 Doing DOUBLES as well (but not using Cardio X.) Are you starting on Sunday the 1st or Mon the 2nd?- I keep forgetting to tell you that I am so surprised and pleased with the vinegar/fabric softener! I have been a laundry fool all week and just LOVE the results! Big time $$ savings + saving environment- what more can you ask for! Thanks for the site info & tips!

Ok time to get all caffeined up so I can get this monster workout in early.

Back later before we head to bay this afternoon.:7

Morning Xers,

Today will be BBC Chest & Abs plus the treadmill workout on this one.

Traci, Have a great time at the bay. My oldest DD was watching while I was doing the BBC Shoulder/Back, and she said she liked the music. To some people that is important, but for me I didn't even notice. :D The yoga yesterday really helped with the DOMS from the Barry's. I will make a concerted effort to be on line this weekend. I will kick the girls off the computer. }(

Lea, I'm not in any hurry for the shirt. Let me know how much, when, and where.

Debra, That is a late night, and you still got a workout in. Wow! Have a great time in MN. Most of my Dad's family live in MN. :) So I have visited quite often. I ordered the Barry's from HSN and I also used a number for first time customer. I will try and find the thread that I posted it on.

Jeanette, Your description of getting into the house was great. I could see the whole thing in my head. :D We had to replace our garage door recently. I was just happy that it decided to go after all the cars where out of the garage. :) Yes, the workout was the Zone one. The only other I have done was Energize. I really like the flow of Zone. I had to move out of some of the poses, because my legs where on fire. This is good, now I know this is one workout that can only make me improve. :D

Sandra, Nice job on the ab work. As Traci said "Did you feel the burn?"

Have a great day!

Laurie

Good Morning, gals! Yesterday I did Cathe's GS Chest and Tris, along with segment one of Core Max. I'm feeling some MAJOR DOMS today. It will be a miracle if I can lift my arms today. I thought after finishing the X this would be a piece of cake, and boy, was I wrong. (I've never done Cathe's Gym Styles before, you may have guessed.) I was excited, though, that I did all but 4 of the 72 drop push-ups, something I could never have done before P90X. The chest workout didn't bother me too bad, it was the triceps that I seem weak in. Today is BodyMax 2 (cardio only), but I don't own that one, so I'll do Cardio Fusion which has segments from Body Max 2 in it.

I won't be around either this weekend. Going to watch my niece at the state gymnastics tournament.

TraciX - You ARE a workout machine! I'm so glad you took a day off yesterday. You've got a lot planned today as far as the workout! You know, you could probably take it easy today and nothing bad would happen. With those aches and pains, please don't push yourself. Have a wonderful time at the bay this weekend! Get lots of R & R!

I've got to get DD her breakfast and get myself caffeinated so I can do Cardio Fusion. Have great days everyone!

StephX

Laurie:
tell your DD I LOVE the music in all of BBC! Its a biggie to me- anything to keep my mind off pain}( . Completed Rhythmic Step - drinking a recovery drink (aka breakfast) and them hitting the bootcamp monsters for shoulders, back, chest.
I am so very tight- mu back & lower body never lossened up so i will be doing yoga & pilates at bay tomorrow- Kest Power Yoga and Ellen barretts Pilates/Yoga Blend. Cany remember what I packed up for Sunday but its some kind of cardio- probably StrikeZone.

Thanks for being in charge of Xer party this weekend! Just no cake OK???:7

Laurie,

You snuck in this morning. I love yoga, too, for taking care of the DOMS! I never thought I'd love yoga. I remember doing YogaX for the first time and dreading it. I found it so boring and difficult. Now I look forward to yoga once or twice a week.

Another BBC question: Do you have to do a cardio workout everyday?

StephX

Hey Steph X: You snuck in on me! LOL
MY GOSH I am sooooo impressed with your workout yesterday! you jumped right in there without missing a beat. I bet you'll see great results - obviosly by DOMS you have some muscle confusion going on there! ^^^^5! How fun your weekend sounds! Tell your niece she got an Xer rooting for!
I somehow thnk I missed you in this mornings personals and I feel AWFUL! Please know that in my mind I talk to everybody but sometimes my fingers just dont cooperayte with my brain. You are NEVER forgotten!
ON BBC Cardio.... Laurie can confirm... I think his plan is to do cardio daily because he includes 1 on each DVD... His cardio arent long at all - more intensity vs duration focused. There really isnt any guide with "how to" so I'm kinda taking lauries lead on this.

Good morning!

The list will be quiet this weekend! I'll do my part, but frankly I get bored talking to myself :)

Today I will be doing Butts 'n Guts leg premix. I'll save the ab work for tomorrow. Yes, the BM2 abs and PUB core combination works really well. There's a cardio and long-lever factor in there that makes it all feel more like ARX.

The BM2 cardio & weights premix is really good. I did it on the 8" step, and would compare it to a more intense version of the Intensity Series' Cardio & Weights. I'm tickled about this premix: it's the one that I suggested when Cathe asked for input. That's not to say that she wouldn't have thought of it herself, but I feel like I had a hand in creating the workout, which is neat.

TraciX - I'm sorry you had such a rough day yesterday, and feel even lousier today :( I'm sure the Chinese food combined with AF feels terrible! Good luck pushing through the fog today.

JeanetteX - Ah! There you are! I missed any mention of a shopping trip. Wow! Your credit card must be smoking hot! Glad you had such a good trip!

LeaX - Glad DK is continuing to improve. No worries on the shirts. If you give me the amount needed, I will send the money right away; no need to wait on that. Never done KM?! Honey, dust it off!!

DebraX - Are you doing KM today? That one took some time to grow on me, but now I like it better than KPC or Cardio Kicks. I overdid KPC, and now find the breakdowns on the combos just toooooooo long.

LaurieX - YIKES!!! You mean I have to go shopping with my DDs when they get older?! That sounds like a nightmare! I hadn't even thought of that! I took them both shopping for rubber boots and shoes yesterday, at Walmart, and wanted to run screaming from the store!

Oh dear, time to get everyone dressed and off to the bus stop. BBL!

Steph, Cardio Fusion is a tough workout, have fun with that one. Traci is right, Barry doesn't have a guide that requires you to do cardio with each workout. On each DVD, except for the Full Body, the menu has the segments seperate. You can chose weights / cardio / treadmill. This is intense bootcamp type training. The full body uses no weights. Everything is body weight, but it will get you heart pumping. At least that is what I observed. Haven't taken on this workout yet.

Traci, Just wanted to let you know that I will be starting on the 2nd also. I have Xstretch planned for the Sunday before that. :)

Debra, Here is the Home Shopping Network $15 off code 451500. Not that I enable any spending at all. }(

Morning,

Today's workout was Firm It Up. Will maybe do a bike ride this afternoon. Have some shopping and errands to do today too.

Traci, bet your DH is chomping at the bit to go to the bay and go fishing, huh? Sounds like you have your workouts all planned. Hope the powdered donuts are NOT in the plans too. Major DOM going on in your world, huh? I think that's why we need so many workouts, just to shake things up. So you indulged in Chinese yesterday? I had Mexican (Bajia's) yesterday in Reno. It was good too. I rarely eat stuff like that but enjoy it and don't let it bother me. The highlights are pretty subtle, you wouldn't be able to even see them in a photo very well, more an outdoors light thing. I like them though.

Lea, I'm with Traci on the tank thing, but I would be happy to send you some money first. If you collected all the money first, you could even send them a cashier's check or money order and not even put it on your credit card. I'm pretty sure we could all do that. Please don't stress on our account though. I'm fine either way, with or without the tanks.

Laurie, glad the Bryan Kest yoga was good. Is this one called "Tone"? I think that's the 2nd one.

Steph, way to go on getting almost all the pushups done in GS Chest. What a great job for you!!! Hey, I did Cardio Fusion this week and so did Sandra. Great workout.

Sandra, Butts & Guts, my favorite of Cathe's new series. I can't wait to feel the burn again. That one got me more than anything else I've ever done, I think. Love the firewalkers and how they get into the hollows (nothing really hollow about these hips) on my hips. Oh, to have young ones to shop with again. Oh yeah, forgot to tell you that I married my DH when his children (my stepkids) were 3 and 4 years old. They are now, lets see, 32 and 31.

Jeanette

Hi ladies...No time for personals now...gotta get KM in before I have to run errands with DH...I'm also waiting for roadside assistance to come and jump my car since the battery died while I was in NC...Just wanted to let you all know I came by to check on everyone.

Lea...Whenever on the shirts...Just let me know how much I owe and I'll get that in the mail to you....Good luck with kitty!

Jeanette...Thanks for the laugh this morning...Glad you weren't injured getting into the house...I'm sure I would have broken a leg if it had been me! DH took a position in Russia last year as head of retail sales for a Best Buy like company. He previously worked for Best Buy and left last Feb...and this opportunity was a great one...He is planning on staying there for a while and then coming back to the States to open his own consulting business.

Laurie...Thanks for the info!

Traci..Have a great time at the bay!

Steph and Sandra...Hopefully I'll bbl for more personals...

Sorry this is so short today...I'll have more time after DH heads out again next week...

Kisses to all!

Hi Gang-
Happy to report Weight/Ab work is completed-as is Rhythmic Step. I just LOVE barrysBC Upper work! The diversity of instructors is a nice change especially if you are doing every single day… The shoulders guy Joey is my kind of eye candy!

Looks like we have quite a little group starting X part 2 on April 2nd! YIPPEE!! It’ll be a blast going thru it together again even tho almost all of us are going to do varied versions!

Jeanette: LOL on the donuts! I am planning my strategy as I pack up. I can really tell by my body shape that I have overindulged in junk sugars the past month. Funny how you just get MUSHY! Have a fabulous weekend of biking & shopping!

Sandra: I know you’re loving every minute of B&G! Are you doing the floor work too? YUCK- Bleh- Blech!

Debra: You are just too cute with your little check-ins! Or is it really peek-ins? Ya miss us don’t ya!!! Well we miss you too but next week we’ll have you back to ourselves. Enjoy KM! Drills too??????????

Probably wont be back except to read until we go as I have to get packed up – DH trying to get home early. Funny how he can always manage an early day on bay weekends! Hmmmmmmmmm Wife or Fish….. guess we know who wins this one!

Great weekend to all- Be safe, have fun, eat well (whatever that mean to you!) & know I really do miss you on weekends.
Back Sunday……

ETA::: I am so sad that I cant get in on the RT this year.... Just wasnt in the cards for me with airfare & all. The hoopla's gonna KILL me- I think I'll stay off the boards (except check-ins) til its over! Congrats to anyone here that gets to go... Take pics!

Hi...just back peeping in...Got my workout in today...which is kind of a miracle...but did it none the less! Hope you are all doing well...everyone must be busy today!

Well...better run for now...I'll miss you guys this weekend....sorry no time for more personals...but it doesn't mean I'm not thinking of you!

Hello everyone,

Had a good day today. After my workout, drove to another little town and bought a woodstove. It's an Osburne 2200 and I think it will be just fine for our house. As soon as the wood burning season is over, we will remove the old stove, take off all the old rock on the hearth and walls and put tile up. Should happen in the next couple of months. Also got some housework done and then a bike ride (20 miles).

I previewed a Netflix Amy Bento Cardio Pump Hi-Lo and liked it. Think I will do the cardio part of it tomorrow and maybe the weights too. Heck, maybe the whole thing. I had only seen a short clip a long time ago, but this looked good to me.

Debra, it was such an awkward position coming in thru that window as the window is high in the bathroom, probably about 4 1/2' from the floor. I had visions of breaking my arms and landing on my head but somehow made it okay. Surprised myself. Interesting about your DH's work in Russia. How long will he be there? Hope you guys are having a fantastic time now.

Traci, I've definitely been indulging myself a bit too much, but for some reason, I've gotten smaller lately. Not near as much puffiness as before and when I measured the other day, my measurements were smaller than my final P90X measurements. Last time I did a Slim Series, I got more definition in my arms. I think my body just needed a change from the heavy weights. I also quit the craisins (haven't even bought any more) and quit taking the ground flaxseed. My biceps are smaller and not so "bulky" looking and I like the look better as my limbs are short. I've probably lost muscle, but hey, I feel leaner and basically, I don't want to grow more muscle mass, just more definition. Who knows, it could all change tomorrow and I could wake up a blimp. By the way, it's TTOM again for me, though no puffiness yet. I'm going to ride this train for a while, still being mindful of doing less cardio. So far so good.

Got to go now. We still need to finish watching Batman Begins as the DVD was damaged and they sent us another one. Probably only have 30 minutes left to watch of it.

Jeanette
