Xers.....Feel good Friday.....

Hi all,

Debra - That's the problem with searching out health issues on-line. You always come up with some things that you probably don't want to have. I know several people with MS, but their symptoms are not the fatigue like you have. They both live pretty normal lives when they don't have a flare up. DH's SIL's sister has CFS and she is practically debilitated. I think she's had it for over 15 years and still can't do hardly anything. They are very wealthy and she's been everywhere looking for an effective treatment, but to no avail. I'm voting for iron or thyroid or possibly stress; the lesser of the evils:)Maybe you are just frolicing too much with CB.

I'm getting ready to do some cardio. Probably Hi/Lo dome challenge. I did yoga this am before work. It was nice to start the day then it went down hill from their. The dog was not doing well last night and by this morning it was worse. I had already made the dreaded appointment this morning between meetings for 5:30, but DS called and said her condition was deteriorating so quickly that I moved it up two hours. He went with me, but I told him to go sit in the car at the end. Hopefully she can find our other two dogs, and maybe even Sandy somewhere up in doggy heaven.

Off to workout. My only saving grace in fitness is that I usually workout when I'm upset and not eat. I know it was the right thing to do, it is just never easy.

Later,

Tracy

Oh dear Tracy! I am so sorry about your baby. I know Sandy greeted her & is showing her the ropes..... yesterday was our 30 day mark... it just takes time to heal. Much love to you & all your family.

Oh Tracy I'm so sorry, I know how hard it is. I'm sure we'll be there again within the next few months. ((HUGS)) Never ever an easy thing to do. Kim

(Did everyone see the blog update)

Dear Tracy...I am so sorry for your family's loss. I know how hard it is to lose a member of your family. How is everyone else faring? I am sure your pooch is up in doggie heaven with dear Sandy right now feeling good and healthy and running around chasing balls and frisbees! Kisses and hugs to you and your family.

Back again to catch up with some personals. I did HSTA and enjoyed...but golly! It has been a loooong time since I did a circuit workout and I was pretty fatigued during it...LOL! Change is good, right??? I will definitely be doing yoga tomorrow. I felt good during my workout today...I just felt like I got winded more than I should...and there again were the endless leg presses...I think I got on Sandra's BG ride the other day and didn't have sense enough to get off! So the leg presses today were a bit wobbly. Well, at least it is done. I can check that off of my list of things to do. DD and I are going bowling with CBL (cute boy Larry) tomorrow night...so that should be fun. And a bit more exercise added into my day.

catching up now.....

Traci...
So sorry that DH was a snoring machine last night!! You must be wearing him out! The good thing about CBL is that I can send him home if he is really snoring too loud..but actually, he only snores sometimes...and if we switch sides of the bed so that he can roll over, I barely hear him. All good, since XDH was a BIG snorer! I obviously don't miss that!! As far as my fatigue goes...what kind of test do they do for thyroid issues? A hot romance with 'Larry'...well, my goodness, I guess I will have to keep my eye on you, you little minx! Look at you being 'mean' to your clients...just like one of those famous pt's!! Good she is willing to take the 'abuse'...well, obviously since she wants to work out at 4 in the gosh darn morning!!

Sandra (Cathe Cat)...
So glad to know the ankle is not terribly hurt. I am one of the ones who had the incessant loop of the BG leg blast premix..., but I did not have enough sense to look at the premix sheet. You were obviously way more prepared for the workout than me...LOL! After a while I was like, 'I am doing NO more lunges for goodness sakes!!' I skipped a couple...so I think that got me back on the correct loop. You can get a good belly laugh out of my ignorance! As far as my fatigue goes, I would think the doc checked for low iron the last time I was in. I have NOT done DD's urine collection yet...We just got in the 'kit' a few days ago...Maybe this Sunday will be the day. Fun for all involved! No, don't have the Amy Tan book yet, which is probably good....just another one not to read. I think my attention span lately has been just awful...I can do a crossword puzzle, but following characters in a book has just been too much lately. Maybe it is because I have enough drama in my own life. This comes from a woman who used to read at least a book a week. My normal life has been all I can take lately. Thanks for the laugh about Tony's hair!!!!

Tracy...
More condolences and {{{{hugs}}}} for your family's loss. Do all the workouts you need to get through this tough period. When XDH and I split up (for the first time) last winter, I worked out like a mad woman for a while. I do not think I have MS or CFS...those were just some of the things listed. It could possibly be my low potassium adding to my symptoms. And I have been 'frolicking' way more than normal lately...lol...so maybe that is the only culprit for my fatigue!

Jeanette...
I think you have to add the power circuits into BM2 for the leg portion....if I am remembering correctly. But you have that spin session, so I am sure you will have all the leg work you need in the morning. I have never done any cross country skiing...well, actually no skiing at all. CBL is convinced I will be a natural because of my leg strength...but I know I am such a goofball I will probably break a leg...LOL! My c-section scar is horizontal which makes the skin over and below sag. I had an emergency section, too, but I guess that was the procedure they used at the time. I don't 'know' that Tony is gay...just fodder for gossip...LOL! Yes, yes, yes!!! Please come on Thursday and leave on Monday...that sounds great!! We may need to coordinate departure times on Monday since I have class then...but I am always free on Thursdays....If you get here first, then that gives you dibs on beds...LOL! Which airline are you looking at?

Kim...
WooHoo on the compliments!!! What a wonderful motivation! I actually enjoyed CS when I only had to do it the 6 times..It has a lot of unusual exercises and definitely gets your heart rate up while working your core in some new ways. I bet your mom had a fabulous time in Hawaii!! How great she was able to go. I will ask you too, what kind of test did your doc do to find your thyroid problem?? I have an appointment in another month or so, and if I am still feeling tired, I want to know what to ask for.

Lea...
Keep hold over there and don't get swept away with all the rain!! I will send Noah over when I see him again.

Laurie...
Yowza! Fifth grade band?? Ugh...I remember how bad I sounded then...Glad DD did well. I remember the first year we lived in Minnesota and all kinds of people kept falling into the lakes because they froze later than normal...Glad those crazy shanties got up for all the ice fisherman...What an incredibly weird sport to participate in...LOL!

Nicole...
Hope the basketball tourney went well today. I am sure once you put your mind to it that you can take hold of your diet and make the changes you want to make. And surely ttom counts for a couple of pounds!!

Christiane...
Waving to you as you are probably sleeping right now!

Okay....think that catches me up for now. Hope everyone is feeling well and having a great evening!

Hi,
Just sitting here in a too warm house, going to see what's going on, then start reading a book. I have not read a book in years, I swear. The book is Memory, Sorry and Thorn. Was recommended to me by a gal at work.
Will be going to breakfast tomorrow morning with DH and DS1. After that, will go do a Garage Boys session. Looking like my planned 60 mile ride down in the valley may not be happening for me as the weather just has not allowed for long rides. Oh well, there's plenty of time for other rides, other hobbies, it's all good....

Lea, so you are getting drenched in So. Calif? We are in a pattern of little storms for a while. We need the moisture so badly. I may as well get my mind around it and get the skis out instead of the bike.

Laurie, that's pretty neat that the gal from work asked you about P90X. My co-workers were awful today and waved cookies in front of my nose. I was bad and succumbed, and in a HUGE way. I won't even go into it, but it's over. Talk about a cheat day. I didn't even bother eating dinner tonite. Cookies are one of my big weaknesses. LOL about your DD knowing how many bowls of cereal were left in the box. I have many childhood memories of reading cereal boxes and eating cereal around the breakfast table with my siblings. Looking for the prize, digging deep. Oh those goodies, Cap'n Crunch, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs, Life.

Latrese, say it ain't so about cutting down the time on the internet at work! It's a good thing that Cathe's site is blocked where I work, or I'd be on it a lot. Anything fitness related is blocked, including a lot of the golf websites that I want to check out.

Sandra, what a crazy BG workout that was. I swear the DVD's seem to be possessed sometimes. Just throws the whole rhythm of the workout off when I get a freeze or skip. Glad the ankle is okay. Several years ago, my sister was talking on the phone outside and using a hoe on her raised flower bed. She accidentally took a misstep and fell down about a foot. Did a real number on her ankle. Took over a year for her to heal. Would actually have been better if she broke the ankle as the sprain was so bad. Those kinds of injuries can be so awful. I think I ws a little sleepy this morning and just didn't pick my feet up high enough when I stumbled a bit. Woke me up good then. Yep, I'm going to cheat and use the Maxi Glide on the skis and no DB in the backpack. I remember when I first got my wooden skis back in the 70's, I used different colored waxes to suit the snow temperature and consistency. They even had these "klisters" that came in a tube. Can you say messy? Don't miss that at all. It was more trouble than it was worth. Would scars around Tony's ears be from a facelift? Not possessing these workouts I can't see what you are talking about. What do you think it could be? I wish I'd known the BM2 premix that said Step and Weights on it had included legs, or a different name on the premix that indicated it was upper body only.

Debra, good job on the test. Could have done that one without studying probably. Sounds like you will ace this class. So you have to wait another month before you can see a doc and get blood tests? Did you get your workout in? I'm loving circuits again. Probably do them one more week and then switch it up and start putting heavy legwork in. I need to go check the travel sights to see about fares, not that I know the airport again. I can be a little dense. You'll see.

Tracy, (((big hugs))) to you on the loss of your dog. Just know we all feel for you and the loss to your family. It's so painful. Hard to make that decision but I'm sure it was time. Glad you could have things taken care of before the weekend too. (((hugs))).

Nicole, glad TTOM finally arrived for you. I'm due on Monday. Seems like they come at light speed any more. Will be glad when all that goes away I think. You sound better today, hope it was a good day for you.

Christiane, good sub on the sub today! I'm finding any step workout where I have to bend these stubby legs of mine makes my heart rate go up. So I need to welcome leg workouts as calorie burners too. Glad the back didn't bother you with the higher riser.

Okay, got to run and hopefully start reading a book.
