Sending hugs to all today... Clients this morning...work-work :7

KIM:::
A birthday girl on Monday!!No need for:( , whats the alternative?! We LUV birthdays! What will you be doing to celebrate? ~ GREAT job on the doubles again...tough stuff!~ Congrats to DS! ~ No, I dont get upset when DH & I fight- I'm always right & eventually he comes around;-) ~ my web is trainingbytraci.com - seems to serve the purpose, I like people to go there first - see all the prices etc... That way almost 100% of my calls are people who have already decided...not typical "sales" mentality but then again I dont want to have to "sell" - did that for too many years... I want pre-qualified people vs "leads".

JEANETTE:::
No excitement planned for me either- THANK GOODNESS!:7 ~ I bet you're excited to show Father Tony how much your whiffle ball training did for your game! You go girl!:7 ~ The recipes look DELISH! Thanks so much! Its time consuming having to write it all out to post! :* ~~ I dont think "proud" is the right word for Wendell & my business...SURPRISED is probably more accurate! He isnt thrilled w/ my evenings & Saturdays being booked but I'm happy & rolling with it so thats really all that matters...I keep thinking he'll get outside & do "projects" while I work but that hasnt dawned on him yet...;-) ~~~ Hows your WW Plan going? I dont recall hearing anything lately but may have missed it if you posted it in a different personals...Are you close to your ultimate goal yet? (are we EVER?)

Today is TLT Endurance For Movement - I do like these ..Very much designed for functional fitness...TONS of no traditional core work in all of them.

Happy day to all- back when I can...

Hi all,

Today is upper and legs plus some yoga. The run went fine last night. I felt good and didn't get too tight. I did need the yoga though.

Traci - You are cracking me up. When DH is mad I never answer the phone. I completely ignore him and just go about my business which absolutely infuriates him. If I get my pt business going (which this test is a lot of info) I'm sure DH will just complain that I am always trying to find things to take me away from the house and him (which he means relations). Too bad. Kudos for building up the clientele. I don't know how you function on all of that coffee, no sleep, and a little alcohol. I'd be dead. And I'm way above the 100# mark, just an FYI. I haven't seen 100 in too many years to count!

Debra - I can just see you listening to XDH while he is talking about stuff you probably could care less about. Oh well, a little work now will ensure that you get what you want. That's what it is all about with him anyway isn't it? The leg conditioning drills with ankle weights? You all are killing me. I keep thinking I should do them because floorwork always seems to irritate my back.

Jeanette - The lingering post nasal drip.....This flu has really just traveled across the country. It made me wonder what it would be like if it was something deadly. There's almost no way to stop it; like the bubonic plague or whatever....I hope the biking and golfing go well. I'm hoping to go ride my bike this week.

Nicole - Glad you stopped by. I see you are busy as ever.

Kim - I kept an eye twitch the entire time I did doubles. I think it worked better for me this time just to sub my own cardio and leg training. I didn't feel as worked and probably got in more cardio and leg training.

I'd better get back to studying. I have a final in my class in two weeks, and many chapters in the ACE book to outline.

Tracy

Good morning,

I'm going to use my new bike on the trainer in the basement to do Cardio Coach #1, then one of Cathe's leg workouts. I haven't decided which leg workout, but some kind of 30min standing work is probably what I'll pick. GS Legs, 4DS Lower Body premix, Leaner Legs. What I choose will probably depend on how I feel when I get off the bike. I'm not expecting a super cardio workout. It's just an attempt to get used to the bike.

Traci and Tracy....So nice to see you two up and starting us off. All is right in the world when that happens.

I'll bbl for personals. Have a great day!
Sandra

Morning Xers,

Rotation: Cathe Feb08/Week 1/Day 7
Workout: SH Bi & Tri / 4.5m Run

I didn't do the run yesterday, gave my legs a rest. I don't have anything urgent going on today so I can take my time with my workouts. Had to drop oldest DD off at the school, she has another indoor track meet. She is in the 4x800 Relay. Guess she is on varsity now. :D

Traci, I just read about your day yesterday. All I can say is no wonder your body protested trying to do the TLT workout. Mine would probably do the same with so little sleep. Congrats on the ad working for you, and you are getting new clients off of it. I had seen on another forum that the TLT's where at Half Price for something like $7. I had a glass of wine last night too, but no bloody mary. Don't have the mix for that one. Don't have any of the goodies I like in a drink like that either. Got to have a pickled something or other in there. :7 :7

Tracy, Hope the homework goes well. Yep we still have snow on the ground. Most of it is in our back yard and in the ditches. Areas that have been getting lots of sun are now bare of snow. We only started to get temps above freezing this week. It was nice having 50 deg yesterday. Took a really long walk with the dog, and enjoyed it very much. Even though we had to stop to look at squirrels. :D

Sandra, Congrats on getting your new bike!!!! Enjoy it, and I hope your butt doesn't feel to bad afterward. If I see that you had done LL, then I know each and everyone of us have been working our legs good this week.

Debra, Glad to hear that the second meeting went well. WTG on the workout yesterday, how do the legs feel today? See how we can inspire each other to torture ourselves. :7 :7

Nicole, Hope today is less busy. Did you have a good time with your BFF? What are you planning on doing with no men in the house?

Kim, Tell that DS of yours congrats. I will be doing the GS workouts next week. Can't wait to see how those push-ups will go. May have to take some breaks. :D

Jeanette, Thanks for the recipes. They both sound great. I am trying to get my DD into a dress. We saw a dress the other day, and she said it was pretty. But she wouldn't wear it. x( Guess we can try and find some nice pants and top for her to wear. Good thing we are not Catholic, then she would have to wear a white dress. :D

Hope to BBL to chat some more, I am off to get my workout done.

Laurie

Back again,

Workout is done, and I feel like mush. :D Going to go get a little snack, and then make out a menu for the week. Need to go grocery shopping some time today. :( Off to the kitchen, hopefully DH left me some coffee.

Laurie

Hi all,

I decided to do GS chest and back with some added pull/chin ups. Then I'll do legs and probably go to the grocery store as we are completely out of food.

Laurie - I see you had a good workout. I really hate S&H bicep work; maybe that's because I hate bicep work in general. I should make a list for food too, but my natural inclination is to wing it!

Tracy

PS. I was trying to integrate WW flour into waffles and pizza. DH now asks for 'white' waffles and 'white' pizza........

I had a greeeat workout this morning. Loved, loved, loved doing CC#1 with Coach Sean on my new bike. I used my HRM to make sure I was working in the zones, and by the end of the 36 mins I was soaked with sweat, and I'd burnt almost 400 calories. I was not expecting to see such a high calorie burn with a cycling workout. That's comparable to an interval step workout, for me.

For the leg workout I chose GS Legs standing. I heavied up on everything, except the slow-count lunges. When I got through those, I regretted chickening out because I think I could have handled it.

I didn't do the floor work, but decided to experiment with the Squeeze workout that Debra hasn't done in a while. Traci suggested I try kickboxing drills to help define my waist, so I thought maybe the Waist segment in Squeeze would approximate that. It's a short segment, and I was having fun, so I tried her buns & thighs "windshield wiper" section that you do with your feet against the wall. This was my sub for the GS Legs floorwork. To finish off the whole shebang I did her sitting stretches. Those are really nice. She's got some different kinds of stretches. I don't see myself ever using this whole dvd as one workout, but adding on these short bits and pieces as "finishers" might be nice.

I see Laurie's gotten up and joined the Saturday morning group. Good day to you! I've got to make lunches for everyone and hit the showers. We've got to make a trip to Walmart before starting off our Super Saturday activities.

Oh one more thing. I went cycling-short shopping last night. What a MISERABLE experience that is!!! Jeanette keeps saying she has short legs and thick thighs, and I have to say I would feel the same way if I spent all my time in cycling shorts. Cycling shorts are the most unflattering piece of workout wear for women that I have ever seen. The wide chamois in the crotch/seat area pushes the thigh & butt fat further to the outside, and the tight band around the leg, that reaches almost to the knee, enhances the widening effect of the chamois. Absolutely dreadful look for a woman!! I finally ponied up $118 for a pair of shorts that actually look nice. They have the cycling chamois short inside them, as a liner, and then a baggy cargo-pant-like short over top. Think of Cathe's favourite capris cargo pants that she always wears in rehearsals, but in a shorts version. The baggy leg keeps my butt, thigh and waist looking much narrower, the elasticized chamois-short liner acts like a girdle around my pelvic area, and the baggy short overtop of the pelvic area completely hides the chamois. Oh, and I bought it in a dark navy blue, which should look nice with the Sunflower jersey I'm going to buy myself as a reward for buying an Eiffel Tower jersey for DH as a b-day present in May.

Well now I'm really late. Bad Sandra. Must go!
Sandra

Good morning ladies,
Late start for me. I did 2 combos of Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge using just the top of the step (no risers). It was fun, though she doesn't cue like Christi. However, she gives you lots of chances to practice. Plus I rewound as needed and repeated sections to get it down better. I'm still taking it easy on my cardio as this darned cold is still very much hanging in there.

I'll be back later with personals. I have some things to get done today and can't dink around like I'd like. We had snow last night but it's about all melted now. My DD has offered to make me a small to bring to the retreat so I need to get some pictures together.

Later,

Jeanette

Hi all,

GS C& B with 6 sets of added pull/chip ups. I felt great and got a great workout. I alternated back /chest exercises because of the endurance factor but felt great. Then I did LL and that was not so good. I went heavier than Cathe on everything and used the dvd more as a guide and less as a workout. I was fried by the end. I thought about what Sandra said at the end as I was picking up some 15 for static lunges because I hate them, and then went with 20s. My legs are still shakey. I have a darn tweeky feeling in the left leg from APX legs last week:(

Sandra - 118 for shorts? OMG, I am so cheap I have not bought any yet and just ride in what I have. I probably look very out of place, but I don't care. I know once DS and I start riding he'll probably give me some Shi* about the way I look. That stuff is so expensive. Sierra Trading Post, oppps US, has some great deals on shirts and shorts if you know what you are looking for. Hey which cardio coaches do you have? I want to order some.

Jeanette - Do you eat any citrus? That always seems to help me recover faster; especially grapefruit. When I was really sick I tried to eat an orange a day. I hope you feel better soon:)

I'd better go eat and study. I have not been too successful with the studying today.

Hi ladies,
A quiet Saturday for me. Watching a western on TV with DH right now. Pretty good one with Burt Lancaster.

Traci, since I've had this cold, I haven't done WW. I just haven't had a lot of appetite and haven't stepped on the scale either, but I can assure you I'm not any closer to my goal than when I started. However, I think my legs are better since doing more leg workouts and my pants don't feel any tighter. I'm sure I've lost the gains I made cardio wise with my bike work. A shame, but what do you do? I just want to be healthy for the retreat. That's the main thing right now. If I'm not in shape for the 1/2 Ironman relay, well, I may not do it. We'll see. I'll have to pull out my TLT's soon. I have all of them. Everything okay with your DH? I'm looking forward to golfing on Monday:7. We'll see if the whiffle ball queen prevails!

Tracy, I wonder about a bad strain of flu coming in and wiping everyone off the face of the earth. Like Captain Trip's in The Stand. And in the case of the common cold with older people, it can be deadly. Glad the run went good yesterday. You're in such great shape. I've been eating a ton of oranges for the last couple of months or so. Kind of quit eating as many in the last few days as I just haven't had much appetite. Must start up again, you are right.

Laurie, so your DD doesn't like dresses? I was never a girly girl myself, but when we were younger, you had to wear dresses to school and church so there was no question about it. How did the track meet go? Good for her for making varsity. She must be pretty talented.

Sandra, so glad you enjoyed the CC workout this morning. They are inspiring to me. Good job adding on the leg workout afterwards. You are right, cycling shorts for most women aren't very flattering. I think I may buy some knicker type shorts some time. I love my sunflower jersey. Good choice. $118 for a pair of shorts??? Whoowee! Pricey! I need to look for some more regular shorts for playing golf in.

Nicole, glad you had a good time with your BFF. How was dinner with your MIL? Will your family be back tomorrow? What are they doing on the desert?

Better go now, quiet thread today.

Jeanette
