Hi all! Back for a quick check in...I will have to do personals later. So, my yoga class went well...It is definitely a beginner class, but that is good because the teacher really pays attention to form and helps get you into the right position. The studio is nice and calming...and I really liked the teacher...soft spoken and funny...and very gay. He is a physical therapy assistant (sound familiar?) and he had a lot to say about why you should be in a certain position which I found really informative and interesting. The class moved a little slow, but since this was the first one of the session, I think it will pick up a bit. I will ask next week how long I need to stay in level one before progressing just so I know.

Let's see, then after that I went to buy a new mattress...my XDH picked out the one I have now, and I have always hated it....so as a show of independence today, I went and got one just for me! Then I went to my massage, which was lovely as usual. And then to pick up DD from school and run a couple of errands...then homework....Busy, busy!!

I am going to do a short cardio session since I can't in good conscience use the yoga today as a workout. I am thinking I am going to do LIC cardio only....didn't Sandra do that today?

Okay...I will be back in a bit to catch up with personals...

Hi all,

Just a quick check in while I chill out for a minute. I went to Costco after work and I was frustrated by the time I got there because it seemed like I got every red light. Then the place was really crowded for a weekday afternoon. Oh well, it's done and I won't have to go on Friday.

Debra - You live such the hard life! Yoga then a massage. DH bought us a matress about a year ago and once I hurt my back I couldn't sleep on it. I never did like it because it was a pillow top; he got it without me. So, a couple of months ago he goes out and buys another matress, without me again, and this one is not quite as bad, but almost. I'm beginning to wonder if they make comfortable matresses. I do better on the floor.

Traci - What a great decision you made rescheduling the training!

I'll catch up with everyone else later. I'm trying to decide whether to do B&G or just be satisfied with this morning's workout.

Tracy

Back for personals...

Tracy...LOL about the mattresses....You would probably like the one that I have now...it's a queen, do you want it? It's hard as a board and I hate it! I got a super comfy pillow top for me! I had a tough time with traffic after picking DD up from school, too. I am sure you are probably doing BG right now. I can't imagine how tough your job is to deal with parents of disabled kids.

Traci...So glad you rescheduled your appointment tonight. And, yes, you must get the weight set...I am sure you can write that off! I also bow to you, o goddess of the leg workouts. There is no way I could do legs that many days in a row. I promise to let you guys know if I change user names! I may just email SNM and ask them what the best thing to do is.

Laurie...Seems you had a bit of a day yesterday....Hopefully today went much better!

Carol...I get massages every 2 weeks...and it makes all the difference for me. Keeps me loose and generally injury free...unless I fall down or something...LOL! Glad you enjoyed SB today...I really like that one too! I spent the night out for Genesis tickets when I was in college...I love them!!

Jeanette...Does that mean you have to get new clubs or are you just borrowing the ones you have? Hope you have a lovely time at the grocery store...NOT! That is my worst hated chore...besides cleaning the showers. Are you going camping with DH this weekend or biking buddies?

Cheryl...Waving as you breeze by!

Wendy...Visas are a pain....At least you are doing it early, though. That saves a lot of hassle! I deserve a massage after sleeping on this mattress that I hate for the past 3 years...that's why I deserve a massage! But, yes, I can tell that you are growing as a person not to be envious...LOL! At least you have a houseful of kids and a DH to rub you when you want...my DD rubs me for about 2 seconds before she asks me to tickle her.

Lea...Wondering if you ever got the rest of Imax done...LOL! Glad you at least had time today to sit down and chat.

Sandra...Sorry for the 25 day cycle, but at least you have an answer to some of your ills. Glad the elbow is feeling a bit better. Make sure you take care of that woman!

Nicole...Who does the yoga for athletes dvd? I may be interested in that one. Yes...XDH is coming in October...He is only going to be in town for a few days and he is staying at a hotel...He actually emailed me today and asked me for a date while he is in town. I am feeling kind of weird about it, though. I think he just needs to spend some time with our DD...it's not like I'm not going to see him at all...I just don't think I want to go out to dinner with him. Glad your weather has been so good...it's still getting pretty hot during the days here....but at least the mornings and evenings are cool.

Teddygirl...I am sure we would have some good laughs and a good time sharing a bottle of wine together!

Swifty...You are MIA today...hoping ttom didn't kill you completely!

Amy....Another missing one! Hope all is well in your world!

Well...think I am done for now...who is missing??? Did I miss someone?? I certainly hope not...and if I did, I sincerely apologize...but my mind is mush about now...must have been the massage and the yoga.

Hi everyone,
Had a nice day at work today, busy but not frantic, which is what I like. Tomorrow is golf class and I'm looking forward to doing better than yesterday. Did some grocery shopping after work and loaded a few things in the camp trailer. Weather will be cooler this weekend with some showers here and there. At least no snow is predicted so we should be fine. I'll bring some books, magazines and cards along in case the weather turns ugly. We'll also have the Rhino so we can run around on these logging roads.

Wendy, my calendar at work says I should start TTOM tomorrow. We'll see. Hope to be started before we go camping. So your sister is planning on going to Thailand with you after all? Maybe by the time you read this, that will have changed. I certainly hope that she behaves herself and doesn't spoil the trip for everyone. Does she know she does these things? You were right, I'll probably be buying some nice clubs, I can see that now. My birthday is in November and I'll just rationalize it somehow or other. How was the eye appointment? My mom has glaucoma. She had been diagnosed probably about 5 years ago and was told to stay on the medication. However, she hates taking medicine and didn't. On her appointment the other day, the Dr. said that she MUST stay on it. I think she believes him now. I was watching Bizarre Foods the other night and this time he was eating "stinky tofu". That one really got him. He took one bite and couldn't eat any more. I thought he was going to hurl. It was tofu that was soaked and dipped into bacteria goop. Must have really been nasty. Made by some little old lady in Thailand or someplace like that. Did you see that episode? Made me laugh that she beat him. I think he said "uncle" with that one. I always wonder how bad that guy's gas is. LOL re: the race between AF and Sandra's email addy.

Lea, Imax3 is a tough workout I hear. Given to my own devices, and being the laziest Xer in this bunch, I'd be picking a Christi Taylor workout every time. Golf certainly was frustrating yesterday, but glad I could finish with a couple drives that felt okay. DH and I are good at having fun, bad at getting those things done that we should be doing. Then we're scurrying to finish them as the snow begins to fall. Real grasshoppers is what we are.

Sandra, glad TTOM arrived for you. As much as I dislike the whole thing, I'm always wanting to just get it out of the way. I heard somewhere that we are more prone to injury right before that time. Sounds like that could be true in a few of us Xers case. Something about relaxed muscles, tendons or something. Ohhhhh, deep dark date molasses bread sounds absolutely wonderful. Very interesting about your elbow and the circulation. I didn't know that it had affected the circulation. So glad it is feeling better. Reminds me I need to go put some stuff on my shin and elbow area. Both are better today. I really need to improve my golfing as hitting the driving mats and the ball at the same time was killing my hands. Hoping tomorrow is better.

Nicole, who does the X-training Yoga? Yes, California has been so darned dry. Hoping for a good, heavy winter. As much as I like to bike all winter, we do need lots and lots of moisture, either in the form of snow or rain. 3/4" is a lot of rain for sure. I'll be sure and bring some stuff so I'm not bored inside the trailer. A VCR would be a good thing, wouldn't it? We have a generator now so that's a possibility during those bad weather times. Of course, if it's really going to come down for a while, I'd just as soon be home. Just talked to my DS in Reno. He told me to come over there and he'll take me to a shop to get fitted for some new clubs. Hmmmm, that idea is growing on me. Isn't that funny when you can just picture something, but can't find it? Glad you located the book. Do you like to bake bread? I do, but find I eat too much of it. I told Sandra that soon I will be staying home and baking. Sheer heaven it will be...

Anointed, yeah on the compliments on your upper body development. Do you build muscle easily? I sure don't. Actually, I don't want mine any bigger as I have short arms, just want more cut, but then I need to clean up my eating for longer than a day. You are doing so well. When you get motivated, you sure work it.

Debra, your day today sounds so good. I can't wait until the day when I can stay home. I've been working for the last 30 years, with only a few months off when DS was born 26 years ago. What kind of mattress did you get? So your current one is too hard? Makes sense as I remember you saying that your XDH sleeps on something like a prison cell bed in Russia. I don't like one that's too soft for sure. DH picked this one out and it's a bit too soft but okay. Yep, it's camping with DH this weekend, no biking at all this weekend. Haven't even gotten a ride in this week, what with golf, errands, shopping. Just not enough hours in the day. I'm borrowing the clubs that I am currently using. Looks like new ones are in the future. I'll give it a little bit of time and the instructor has some that I can use during the class that will fit me better.

Better get off of here now, everyone have a very good night. See y'all in the a.m.

Jeanette

Tracy, I would have killed my DH if he'd have bought a mattress without me. Sorry your Costco trip was stressful.

Debra & Jeanette, The CT w/ Yoga DVD I purchased on their site. It's a bit more of a rough production and a totally different approach but I like it. She does moves that other instructors don't and in a different order. I like to change things up a bit:) Here's the link:

Hope everyone has lovely dreams and restful sleep,
