Hey ladies,

I am still filled with crud:( so today is going to be a much necessary rest day. this is my first time being sick all year and i think my body just needs some down time and more sleep:confused: I wish i could take off work but since I just recently started I don't have any sick days yet...bummer

wendy- so happy to hear joey does not have pneumonia. YAY!! i remember what you all went thru last year. it's so hard when the little ones are sick. healing (((vibes))) to joey.

shirl- yesterday i ordered lauren brooks' KB workout...thanks enabler. ;o)

laura- would you mind coming to nc and subbing the class i have to teach tonight? they would love you.... ;o)

diana- IA working gets in the way of working out. hehehe. i wish i could say i would join you in the lack of sugar/sweets as they are also my downfall but i don't want to lie. maybe after the holidays...what do you think?

angie- lol re: yesterday's comment. it wasn't a hard bc class at all...sadly


Thanks to all who gave high ^^'s re: ds #1's soccer game. I am a proud soccer mama, lol.

Ok I'm back.

Shirl: How about replacing the full body work out in the rotation with a bell work out? Would that satisfy your belling needs and still allow you to complete the rotation? :)

Jen: DH and I have been married 5+ years and together for 8+. :eek: LOL Sorry about your defective Ripped 1000 copy. I ordered Cathe's Body Blast Timesaver off Amazon last week. I ordered it from the market place and it was described as new and unopened. The seller said she got it as a gift but already had one. The moment I saw the cover I KNEW it was a COPY and not the real thing but I popped it in my DVD to be sure. Yup, it ws a horrible copy. I emailed her asking for a refund and waiting for an argument or to be ignored. She gave no argument but aplogized and said she had no idea. My refund is in process and I'll be returning it to her today. I believe she had no idea. If she knew she would not be so quick to give the refund. That's the first and last time I'll try to save money on a Cathe work out!:eek:

Laura: The Poconos is a beautiful area. The casino was gorgeous. Much prettier then the average casino in AC I'll tell ya! :p Glad your class last night was a hit. I wish I was close enough to take one!

Diana: I am doing the 08 Leg Blast rotation. You? So have you ever tried Pinky's version of Low Max?? :eek:

Ang: You know I probably WOULD have enjoyed the ride had I done it but I was very squeamish about being so restrained in such a small area. I thought I might panic. I don't even like the over the shoulder restraints you find on loopy roller coasters. :( Good job on PlyoX y'day. I am sure the X will give you results. Take pics every month and hold your opinnion until it's over. Compare the pics and I'm sure you'll see results you would have otherwise not noticed! I was VERY pleasantlysurprised when I looked at my pics!

Sunny: Awww sorry you are feeling cruddy. You are right, you need to rest. Especially since you still have to go to work all day. :( Feel better!!!!! The pneumonia wasn't so bad with DS actually. It was the stomach virus the Christmas before last that was AWFUL! That was when he was hospitalized for seizures. UGH. Having a sick child is never fun though no matter what.

So today's work out is Legs and Glutes. YEOWZAS! I still have upper body DOMS from MM the other day and tmrw I won't be able to walk. :p This rotation is going to give me daily DOMS...I can see it now!

Guess that about wraps it up for me!

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick post before heading down for Power Hour. I did my own HIIT cardio yesterday at the gym. The w/o consisted of running, sprinting, weighted jump squats w/med ball, shuffles and ended with some wt'ed ab work. It was only about 45 min, but I was wiped after that.

I have the holiday meltdown starting next week. It's a 6 week class at the rec ctr that is similar to bootcamp but indoors. We do a lot of stair running, walking up stairs with hand weights hitting eveyother step, running laps, weights etc.

I really need to work on cutting down on sugar/chocolate/sweets. I started yesterday and it didn't work out to good. I had a few red hots, 2 mini hershey bars, and I made brownies after dinner. I know this is what is inhibiting my weightloss and need only indulge for special occasions, not everyday. I will try it again today.

DeeDee-sorry you are feeling under the weather. Rest is in the cards for you.

Wendy-Sorry that Joey is sick. He must feel miserable, poor guy. I'll have to check out the 08 leg blast rotation. I did look at the youtube clip of meso legs and am so looking forward to it. I think I looked at Pinky's lowmax w/o but will give it another look too.

Hola chicas!!

So I went out last night to the mall after work and searched high and low, and miraculously found they very last copy of Ripped 1000 at Borders. Yay for me! So I did that workout this morning and I really liked it. It was a real leg burner for me, and my heart rate stayed elevated for just about the entire workout. While I doubt anyone can actually burn 1000 calories, I have a feeling I got a decent burn from this one.

Diana, I've learned that I can't have that stuff around me. I don't have much willpower at all. And though I won't go hog wild if it's there in front of me, I'll nibble all day...a bite here, a bite there...and that stuff really adds up. My real weaknesses right now are pretzels and pita chips. Empty calories that I really need to eliminate. So know that I'll be working on staying away from those things while you're staying away from the sweet stuff.

Dee Dee, get some rest and feel better fast! Being sick is the absolute worst, but it's definitely one way your body tells you to slow down.

Wendy, Glad to hear the seller didn't give you a hassle! I've got to send mine back to Amazon, and I'm so lazy with that sort of thing. I'm half tempted to just throw the thing away.

Happy Hump Day Ladies!

Woke up w/sinus head .. my ear is just a buzzing .. I hate that!!:mad: popping sudafed and nose drops!!!

Had a great class last night .. opted for 4 step w/heavy weighted UB work .. DOMing in the bis and a bit into the core!! :) SIL did come to class .. she modified some moves .. but think she overdid on the shoulder work even w/decreasing the weight!!

The trip home .. LOL .. roadkill possibilities: 4 deer and a opossum .. the opossum froze in the middle of the road w/a terrified look then think he fainted and that saved his life!!:confused:

Ang .. ya .. bow season and deer hunters .. has GOT to be the reason the deer are on the move!! Heck they need to hunt on the highways .. LOL .. I probably see more deer than any of the hunters ... LOL about SIL and being stubborn .. yes sometimes I think WE are the ones that are blood kin .. creepy how my DB chose someone w/a lot of my characteristics (this is a good and bad thing) .. lol!!!

Wendy ... Legs and Glutes .. my favorite body part to work!! That rotation does look awesome ..but not doable for me for sure .. not w/my classes .. since SIL is injured I am kinda playing it by ear .. going back to heavy day .. light day kinda routine .. although these last two days have both been heavy days but on different body parts .. I am loving the NO roatation right now!!:D

DeeDee .. sorry you got the cruds .. I WISH I could come sub for you .. LOL .. I keep saying I am going to tape a couple of my classes and send it to ya'll .. just to see how I teach .. it is very hard to put into words .. "the insanity" of it all .. LOL!!! Feel better!!

Di .. sounded like a good w/o yesterday!! :) .. aahhh .. the dreaded sweet tooth .. I am lucky ... I dont really crave sugar .. my friends say I am weird b/c I dont really like chocolate (might as well not like it cant have it b/c of kidney stones) .. but w/the upcoming Halloween candy filled holiday .. hhmmm .. refraining from the sugar is a good goal!! I do like sweet tarts and hard candy .. that is usually what I splurge on the Halloween holiday!! And I hate when I do it b/c it spikes my sugar level and my heart runs away and makes me lightheaded .. not a good payoff for cheating w/sugar!! :confused:

Jen .. congrats on the find .. Ripped 1000 ... is that Jari Love?? cant remember .. I cant bare to look at her .. but if you got a good burn from it .. that is all that matters!! :) to burn 1000 calories in an hour .. hmmmmm .. I doubt it too unless you are doing IMAX 2 or 3 or CC w/no rest between blasts ... although I feel like I burn MORE than a 1000 after any of the CC or Cathe BLASTS w/o's .. lol!!

So today I am doing another walk/run at lunch (short one) .. then tonight I am doing another short run w/the doggies b-4 dark .. so a 1/2 way rest day (light day)!! no weight work today!!! No class .. WOO HOO .. get to go home and see DH b-4 he starts night shift .. *ugh*

OK .. better get to work .. have a great day .. and I will BBL to see what you all are up to!!! :D
 
Hi Girls.

I ended up adding on a 3.25 mile TM run after I finished L&G this afternoon. A run was calling me for some reason so I listened. ;) I considered heading outdoors but it's too darned windy and cold around here for that. I am not a fan of cold weather running as you can see.

K, gotta get some dinner goin'.

Hey all

I actually stayed home today b/c I worked yesterday and got most of my stuff done and the house needed some attention badly.:confused: I slept in and then got to work. The laundry is almost done.....at least for now.
I did B&B and ARX. I increased weight on some of the exercises and noticed that I'm using more of my core muscles to stablilize. Thankfully ARX is beefing up the core.;)

DeeDee - That stinks about the crud. The last time I had it, the kids brought it home.:( I bet it won't last long for you though. Take care of yourself....you'll get back to it when the bod permits.:)

Wendy - I think this is the 4th time thru the X for me. Every time I do it, the results are not quite as dramatic as the time before which is to be expected I guess. I lost 25-30 #'s with it on my first time thru. It would be nice if I could keep doing that! *lol* I do notice the changes in the mirror, but the jeans aren't talking this time thru.:mad: I would like to lose some hip and thigh weight, and it just ain't happenin'.

Di - Best of luck with the chocolate monster. My mom just dropped off a dozen chocolate cup cakes with white frosting.:confused::mad: Ug! I crave chocolate &/or sweets after lunch and dinner. It drives me crazy. I'm in awe of folks who don't include any sugar in their diet.

Jen - Glad you liked Ripped 1000. I just tried it for the first time last week and even though I didn't burn 1000, it was a good 500 calorie burn anyways.

Laura - LOL at the opossum. Obviously you haven't found the critter magnet yet.;)
I think it's great you and SIL are so close. You are lucky! I never talk to my SIL....not a fan at all! Which is OK, since I think she is soon to be an X-SIL.:rolleyes:
I'd love to get my hands on one of your workout tapes. Ya know, you might be missing out on a new career here.
