Hi Girls.

My darned knee started acting up overnight and is sore this morning. No long run (or ANY kind of run for that matter) for me today. :mad: That being said it'll be a weights day. Not sure what I'm gonna do but I'll figure it out when the time comes. I have some errands to run as well.

Better finish my coffee and get moving!

Finished S&A this AM - went heavier with a couple more reps for each exercise (didn't do the bonus). Feel good ! :)

Wendy - sooo sorry to hear about you knee. Hope the doggone pain goes away really soon !

Sorry, I don't have time for personals at the moment, but I wanted to check in and say I'm going to try to catch up ASAP!

I did S&A yesterday morning, when I was supposed to be doing Cardio X. Oops! That'll teach me to read the rotation, rather than try to go on memory. This morning I just wasn't feeling a workout though. I totally bagged the idea, and it's likely I just won't get one in today. I've been very sleep deprived the past couple days and it has really caught up with me today. I'm not feeling well at all. And to add insult to injury, the weather is awful here today, too. Ugh.

Anyway, I'll BBL to say hola to all you fabulous chicas!

Morning Ladies!

Well I am DOMing all over from the extra torture last night .. had a small class .. :eek: .. must have run them off w/Monday's sweatfest .. they always know when I have been bad!! Woke up w/a crick in my neck and a sore shoulder .. think I must of slept on it wrong .. it is popping and creaking this morning .. aahhhhh .. the pleasures of getting older!! LOL

Today was supposed to be chest and back .. but dont know if my neck or shoulder are gonna allow me to partake in the pushups .. ??? .. will see how I get to feeling later .. tonight no class ... have a run scheduled w/my doggies after work though!!

I did have some guys ask me about my classes .. they have been peaking in from time to time .. so think they are gonna try the plyo/leg torture tommorrow .. should be interesting!! ;)

Wendy ... take it easy on your knee .. do you think it is fluid?? or a strain?? remember RICE formula!!!

Jacque .. my Mom doesn't mince words ...LOL ... she does not like me to loose too much weight ... I have always had a larger booty (therein lies the nickname Poochy) and narrow hips .. but think the laying off of the heavy weight .. changing my w/o concentration to plyo work and my classes concentration on varied exercises w/numerous reps COMBINED w/the wonderful aging process our bodies go thru .. think it has shrunk my bountiful booty to a smaller version of itself .. lol!! But as DH says .. it is BEAUTIFUL and plenty enough for him!! and I should be thankfull I dont have the dreaded "middle age spread" ... LOL ... but I do think like you said getting back to the heavier lower body lifting several times a week will do the trick!! :D I am at 200# on the squat press and leg press .. I am only doing those and the leg extension (50#) - hamstring curl (50#)- calf press machines (110#) and keeping my reps at 12 and sets at 3 ... so that should perk the wittle booty back up!! LOL

Jen .. sounds like you got a case of the BLAHS .. I hate that .. and dreary weather does not help the mood. Wish I could pipe you some of our sunshine .. it was 94 yesterday .. today it is supposed to be 80 .. but tonight dropping down to 50 .. :) .. and the rest of the week is to be more fall like weather .. but LOADS of sunshine and it does help brighten the day!! You have permission to skip a w/o today .. and maybe tommorrow you will wake up renewed and re-energized!

Ang .. I am still doing the happy dance for the GREAT news you got!! I bet you woke up w/a renewed sense of self today huh?? How is little Maggie doing?? Any funny antics to report?

Di .. OK missie you have been MIA too long now!! Hoping everything is ok!! think your trip to see the girls should be coming up soon .. right?

Hello ladies,

so sorry i missed checking in yesterday. yesterday's workout was a 60 min cycle class.

today i did my second RCR workout and have to say another kickbutt workout! valerie is good. i am going to go for a power walk after i finish eating my lunch.

angie- what great, awesome news!! so happy to hear it. thanks for sharing. God is Good!!

laura- every time to talk about one of your classes i want to take one so bad. you'll love this last week i talk a class and had a lady actually walk out because it was too intense. these ladies that i am teaching aren't used to it but all of the rest of them are just lovin' it!!

wendy- so sorry to hear about your knee giving you so much problems. hopefully it will stop hurting soon as i know your 18 miler is coming up soon.

jacque- sounds like you are doing an awesome job with da' X!

jen- never worry about personals. we just like to see you posting!

Hi Girls.

After lots of sulking around this morning because of my bum knee I finally brushed off the "boo hoo's" and got my work out done. I did the push pull u/b premix of Muscle Max and added on some of my own ab work at the end. After that I high-tailed it to the gym and did 30 mins of IClimb 21/40 Intervals. That's all I had time for. Good work out considering I was on the fast-track to doing NOTHING not long before!

Sunny: Glad you enjoyed your 2nd RCR work out. I haven't taken a spin class in ages. I walk by the room at my gym every day and think that I need to take the class again soon. I've been thinking that for about 6 months now and it hasn't happened yet! LOL Too many work outs, too little time. :p

Laura: Gotta love DOMS! Enjoy your run with your pups today! Fluid or a strain? Hmmm...well how do you know the difference???? :eek:

Jen: Sounds like you need a rest day girl. Too much hectic stuff in your life right now to be able to keep up with AND do killer work outs as well. Don't feel bad. Just listen to your body. Tony will wait for you. ;)

Jacque: Good job with S&A! Isn't it great when you can up the weights!? :)

Well it's a little busier here at work than I thought it would be - but at least the day is more than half over, therefore, so is the week ! Woo Hoo ! ! !

Jen - Sorry it has been so busy, so dreary and so "unsunny". What I would say about your workouts is don't if you are feeling it - at least you skipped a cardio instead of a weight workout. Have you been lifting heavy lately? I wonder if the X is just tiring you out. I find that happens to me if I haven't lifted heavy for a while and then start again. Also tends to eat up more of the food when we try to build muscle. Did you add any extra protein to your diet?

Enjoy your rest day - come play here instead !:p And if you don't have time, no worry, we are here whenever you have the chance. Especially for support !

Laura - LOL about your classes running off. I remember one of my fav instructors from many moons ago - she'd always hit us with "bonuses" when she ate too much the day before ! Give me a challenge though and I'll take it. Never bothered me ! Perhaps you should be teaching closer to the rest of the group so we could benefit from your KickButt classes? Hmmmm, a Poochy RT? <begins thinking quite hard> :rolleyes:

I must say I admire you mom for speaking her feelings - sounds like it doesn't bother you since it is her opinion. Love the compliments from DH though. Isn't it nice to have a DH who appreciates your hard work and loves you the way you are ! Mine is the same way.:D Have a nice run this afternoon !

Dee Dee - glad you had a good "cycle" yesterday, LOL ! So RCR was a kicker again, huh? If you have time, can you post a day's workout? I'd like to see what it consists of. Hope your busy ness slows down a bit.

Wendy - Good job there ! Think we will all just "wish" your knee issue away for you ! At least you could still get in some UB and intervals. And did ya have to mention taters? I absolutely LOVE Tater Tots ! :p JK - am eating my salad with three bean ontop and an added homegrown tomato. Yummy !

Just reporting .. run done . OMG .. my dogs gave me a kick arse run .. like to have killed me!!! LOL .... I raced home .. b/c the sun was setting fast .. but got home and slung on the running gear and their harnesses .. and they were ready .. guess the cool temps put some fire in them .. we ran to the back fields .. it was great . and I just did get home b=4 sunset!!

The days are getting WAY shorter .. it is dark when I get up . and dark when I get home .. (when I have class) .. but it is almost dark by 6:15 now .. :confused:...Fall is here!!!

OHHHHH . a Poochy road trip . . OMG .. ya'll could see how gorgeous AL is ..I could show you our land .. woods .. pond .. and I could kick your butts working out .. or just let you take Buster out for a quick run .. LOL .. let him do the dirty work .. LOL ... and then I could show ya how we party in the South .. :confused::eek:... LOL .. (hint: do not do any drinking game w/anyone from AL .. LOL)...

speaking of .. forgot to answer Wendy .. on the #of CABS .. OMG . girlfriend .. I lost count .. 2 ball games back to back .. uummm .. it was lots more than 5 I do know that .. :eek:...LoL.. I will be better this weekend ... b/c I am not watching our rivals play .. and I have a wedding at 6 .. right at kickoff .. gotta be good .. but I prbly wont be staying at the wedding long .. lol!!! War Eagle!!!

Ok .. better get supper on .. DH is fertilizing the fields .. and will be in shortly .. he just got off nights .. and is sooooo tired .. and a bit loopy ... but he will pass out soon after supper .. LOL!!!

Hey Xercisers;)

I was so productive at work today.:) It's weird when the 1st falls on a Wednesday b/c I can get all my monthly stuff done early. All my Sept. bills are pretty much paid....except for those CC bills and the fuel bill which I don't have yet.:mad: Now I gotta get started on the quarterly stuff, but I've kept my desk pretty much cleaned off at work so that is a good thing.:)

Oh yes, I went to work with a new zest for life today. I guess a scare like that will definitely make you more grateful for what you have. It's true.....if you don't have your health, you don't have anything. Thank you all for the well wishes and happy thoughts.;)

I got home and did S&A and ARX. Thankfully ARX is getting easy....until after I get back to it after the "rest week" and then it will kick my butt again. So it's supposed to be yogaX tomorrow but I haven't decided if I will do that or sub something else. Hmmmmmm.....decisions to make tomorrow.

Laura - A productive meeting?? I didn't know that was possible. *lol*

Maggie lost another tooth today. Good! I hope those sharpies get gone quick. LOL! DH was trying to scoop her up this morning and put her in her crate before he left for work at 4:45 but she thought he was playing with her and was running him in circles around the couch and barking at him.:confused: I'm in bed thinking WTH? b/c DH knows I loves me sleep! He explained tonight when he got home what happened. How can you not laugh at that? She's such a turd.:p

Jacque - It sounds like the flaxseed would be easier for me to swallow than the oil. I'll have to try that and add it to my protein pancakes or oatmeal.
Good job with S&A today. I like that one so much better than C&B.
I like to head to the computer too when I get hit with the munchies.....sometimes it helps.....sometimes not so much.
