Happy Monday! NOT! :p

Never got in a work out y'day. I was just too exhausted. :(

Today's plan so far is to do X Legs n Back after work and then either go for an outdoor run when DH gets home or hit the TM at the gym after dinner. We'll see what happens....

Hi Ladies,

I'm up early so I thought I'd post real quick. I never did get in my workout yesterday. This morning will be Absolute Kickboxing (Kimberly Spreen), heavy legs at lunch and bootcamp tonight.

Thursday is the last bootcamp class of the season. There is a 6 week Holiday Meltdown that starts in late October. It is similar to bootcamp but inside. There is a lot of stair running, laps, weighted walking lunges, circuit type training. I'ts usually pretty fun.

Ang-LOL re-amway. We actually tried that and liked the products. Unfortunately we never made any money at it. This is something different and we're going to give it a try.

Wendy-I used to work overnight at Kohl's and at Target. I was always exhausted and in a fog the day after the night shift. Hope you are feeling your chipper self today. Enjoy your workouts today.

Good morning, all!

Sorry I didn't post this weekend, but I spent the weekend at BF's house and never got a chance to check in. I'm also in the "never got a worlout in yesterday" camp. I have a million errands to run to get ready for the week. But I did get in a four mile run on Saturday. I was happy to be able to hit the road for it instead of the treadmill for once!

So this morning was Day 1 of my P90X Lean rotation. It called for Core Synergistics. I'm nicely wiped out from that now ;)

Gotta get in work mode, but I'll BBL for sure to see what everyone is up to!

Morning Ladies ..

I had a BLAST of a weekend .. DH and VBF did throw me a surprise b-day party .. OMG .. SOOOOOO many people and we had a ball!! DH cooked a feast and VBF had all kinds of snacks .. CABS all around too!!! So we partied from afternoon till midnight ... :eek: .... no workouts at all to report . . did cleanmax+ Sat. b/c I had a feeling they were trying to pull off a party! but yesterday was spent recooperating!! :eek: We watched my team play .. but unfortunately they lost :( .. but we played LSU and they are one TOUGH team .. our rival team won their game so I am taking CRAP from everyone today :mad:

My cold/flu is better .. feeling like taking on some major w/o's today .. so lunch will be the X .. shoulders and arms .. tonight's class will be circuit class (more cardio than weights) ...

Sounds like everyone had a great weekend!!

Wendy - bartending gig sounds exhausting .. on your feet that long .. and if it was busy can imagine it was kinda hectic too!!!

Jen -day 1 of the X .. I started b-4 the flu bug got me .. but might as well say today is my day 1 too!!!

Ang - so Maggie kept you busy this weekend ey?? LOL .. dontcha wish you could bottle that puppy energy and take some for yourself!!!

Di - your last BC class :( ... think you did the Holiday meltdown thing last year too right?? I love hearing about the different things your instructors do . . wish I could get my class outside since it is cooler now!!

DeeDee - your w/o Sun. sounded awesome ... that is one heck of a w/o .. running AND stairs .. I dont have a Wii .. but that game sounds like something I might like!!

Shirl - more talk on the kettlebell .. dang it .. I can see right now I am getting weak on resisting the temptation of the kettlebells!!!

Sunshine - LOL about the follower comment .. and talk about enabler .. you may be in trouble there .. b/c between Wendy and the others you will be like me wanting every new gadget and fitness toy they bring up .. lol!!

OK Ladies .. better run .. it is Monday { sigh } and there is a pile of paperwork that cant be put off too much longer!! BBL to see what you ladies are up to!!
 
just reporting ... P90X Chest and back done~~ :confused: upper body is FRIED ... forgot how dang hard it was!! SIL didn't want to work triceps b/c she was sore from Cath cardio and weights .. so we opted for chest and back ... OY .... now remember why I called it push up H#LL ,,,,,

But gotta say I loved every painful second of it (now that it is overwith) :p

Yep Wendy - not Happy Monday - too much to do, right there with ya Jen !

Day 1 for me also - Think I will go with the Classic to see how I do. Chest and Back like Poochy - will do Abs after work.

Had a hard time with the entire workout as I'm not feeling really strong and my back hurt for most of the pushups. Also have a question for you previous 90X'ers: My shoulders crack and pop too much for a couple of the push ups with closer hand position. Any ideas on how to adjust to still get the right type of workout? (The military and diamond pretty much).

Pull ups were not too good either - 5 - 7 with chair assistance. Sure hope I can increase that a bit. If not next time, think I may try the bands to see if I can get a better start.

BBL at lunch for personals ! :p
 
UGH, I have absolutely NO DESIRE to do an X work out today so I am going to roll with it and not do it....

I am, however, going to run on the TM at the gym later on. I realized I have a meeting there at 4pm anyway so I will just stay afterwards to run. If DS is in good spirits I may even stay on for a 5:30 pilates class since I need to take one final class before month's end. We'll have to see about that though as this (stupid) meeting is seriously going to encroach on DS' nap time so he may be a wee bit tired and cranky...:(

I still don't think my body has adjusted after the night I had on saturday. WOW. I never thought it would take such a toll on me. The money was great though!

Not up to personals right now but I'll pop back later for that.

wendy- the bartending gig sounds cool. i would have fallen asleep..hehehe sorry about the meeting. talk about meetings we have at least two a day UGH.

poochy- happy belated birthday. what a celebration!! oh girl you have got to get a wii, lol.

jacque- chest and back is a toughie as the push ups are never ending...;o)

today's workout was NROL Fat loss III- awesome workout as usual! i am hoping to get in a tad bit of cardio but we'll see. i am teaching a class after work so not sure what time i will get home.

You are not the only one Sunny. I was supposed to start today but I'm not....may not start tomorrow either....I dunno...all of the sudden the X is not sounding appealing to me...:confused:
 
Wendy - ya just gotta roll with the punches sometimes. Though I am wondering about you not doing X at all . . . :rolleyes: You really gonna enable all of us and then wimp out ? LOL, JK of course. Your training just must come first and if you aren't feeling it then check yourself next week and see if you can get motivated to start with Sunny or perhaps a major modification?

If I remember right, I think it was Diana who will be starting the end of this month or October also?

To tell you the truth, I wasn't feeling it this morning either - feeling a little too weak, but hey, am hoping I will just get stronger.

Diana - the Holiday Meltdown sounds like fun in a Yowza painful sort of way? Kinda like the SWAT or TT type of workout? You will have to keep us posted . . .

Jen - good to see you made it back. I was hoping you didn't lose us ! Glad you had a good weekend - nice run on Sat ! :D So you are going for the Lean version. Are you following the nutrition plan too or just doing more cardio? I am thinking I will try the Classic and then add a few short 3 - 4 mile runs here and there. We will see . . . :rolleyes: I always have "great expectations" that I can't always keep. :eek:

Poochy - So glad you had a great Birthday Weekend ! Your body needed the rest anyway and by having a great time the feel good hormones musta knocked the sickies right out of you. And you did CleanMax after all ! ;) That always makes me feel great ! Then you jumped right back on and hit the "X" with a passion? LOL "push up h#ll !" Nice term . . .:eek:

Dee Dee - Sticking to the end of NROL Fat Loss? Will you be finished this week? How were your results as far as fat loss goes? Yep - neverending push ups - and I was thinking on the way to work, for chest all we did was push ups . . . hmmmm, what's with all the other chest exercises we have always done, anyway? Even Alwyn had a couple of weight workouts for chest. Maybe the next round? (I haven't gotten very far with "X" in the past so maybe I have a surprise coming . . . )

Well all, hope your day is going well and everyone catches up with everything. Seems we are all busy with something or other right now. :D
 
Just a slight delay...

Don't worry girls. I'm not gonna wimp out. Just gonna ride out "the funk" is all...Perhaps I'll finish up the last of my CTX work outs this week and plan on the X for next week instead. :)

I still have another class to take at the gym so I'll probably take the Bootcamp class on wednesday morning since I'm not working. I opted out of the pilates class tonight as I felt bad leaving DS there for so long so I came home after my run (3.5 miles). Between bootcamp and the remainder of CTX that will round out my week nicely along with my running and then I should be good to go for the X come Monday. :D

Gotta go make DS dinner but I'll come back once he's in bed for personals!
 
Hey girls

Well week #1 is in the bag and so I started over again today with C&B and ARX. Last week I felt like a complete weekling, and this week I feel like an Ox! I slammed most of my longstanding numbers today.:D I just had one of those days where I felt great, didn't have cravings, and nailed the workout. Gosh, I wish everyday felt this great.

Tomorrow will be plyo or IMAX3......depends upon what I feel like in the morning. I have to get it done early due to a Dr. appt. round noon.:(

Wendy - Yeh, ya gotta join us. I plan on doing a lot of subbing on this one. You know I don't generally do that but I wasn't really feelin' like the X was something I wanted to do right now. But, so far so good. Plus, now that STS won't be out until X-mas, at least I know I can finish this rotation before it comes out.

Diana - Hope the $$$ opportunity works out for you. So up and at it early for some KB huh?;)

Jen - CoreSyn already? I've never done the lean rotation....always the classic. I guess I didn't realize that they started out so differently. CS is a toughie.

Laura - The party sounds fun!!! Your B-day is Thrusday right? So you'll have to celebrate again this weekend too.:D

OMG - Mags is on or off.....like there is no in between.:confused: She's taking a lot fewer naps now too, but probably just b/c everything is so busy around her. We have been taking her for walks after dinner and she is exhausted at bedtime. She doesn't even want to get up in the morning with DH.:rolleyes:
So didya add on ARX too? Is SIL doing the X with you?

Jacque - Last week was my first and I felt like complete jello! This week is different so far...thank goodness. I find myself not going really deep on the diamond or military pushups. I do as many as I can on my feet, then go to the knees when I can't do any more of the feet. Maybe on the diamonds you could seperate the hands further to help with the stress on the shoulders?? Not sure if that would help or not. Or maybe try doing them with your hands on a step so your upper body is a bit more elevated? Again, not sure if that is helpful.

Dee Dee - What type of class did you teach today?

OMG, I gotta tell you girls! I am not a tv watcher but tonight I am LMBO! I watched How I Met your Mother, 2 1/2 Men and Worst Week Ever. FUNNY STUFF! I can usually only get through ONE show if I'm lucky and here I am watching one after another and actually ENJOYING them! What's goin' on here!?!? My world is going crazy this week, I swear!:p
 
Hi ladies,

It's been a hectic day at work, typical Monday I suppose. I did Absolute Kickboxing this morning, heavy legs & back including assist pullups at lunch (even upped my squat weight from 105lb to 115lb) and finished the night out with bootcamp.

Well, I may not really belong in this checkin since I haven't even started the X. I haven't checked the blog, but if STS won't be out until Christmas I don't have any reason not to do another round of the X. I always need to add in more cardio than the X offers.

Jen-nice job on the 4 mile run. I love to run outside and need to get back to it. Had some family issues to deal with the past 4 weeks but can't keep using that as an excuse. I haven't done the lean rotation before, is this your first time or have you followed this one before?

Laura-Happy Birthday. How nice of your family and friends to try and surprise you. I'm guessing nothin' much gets by you. Glad you had a great time. I'm so sick of pushups, but am glad you finished C&B.

Jacque-nice job with C&B too. Pullups are always hard, just "do your best and forget the rest" LOL, couldn't resist.

DeeDee-No worries, I'm not xing either. What kind of results have you had NROL? Are you almost done with a complete rotation?

Angie-Great job completing week 1. That's always the toughest. I say go for Imax 3 is much more fun than plyoX. Keep us posted on the dr. results. If we can make some money in the next few months I'll tell you all about. It's no get rich quick scheme but we don't have to really sell anything which I'm happy about.
