WW's AUGUST: Week of Aug. 15th

I've decided to take the bull by the horns. I've really slacked on counting points. Come hell or high water I want to start getting back on track BEFORE I go on vacation, if not I'll psychologically use this week to let things go even more by using the justification of "I'll start back when I get back from vacation"

I'm going to weigh in Monday morning and it wont be pretty b/c I overate all weekend. I'm going to try my best to eat at 30 PP per day, giving myself one cheat meal per week. I tend to undereat on vacations b/c with my IBS I've gotta be careful b/c I dont know when things will flare or where bathrooms will be!

I'm working a 13+ hour day and have my snacks already packed to munch on during the day. I dont have dinner planned yet but if I stick to what I pack, I'll have 20 points left for dinner.

I know I wont have the time or energy for a workout tomorrow, but I'll definitely work out on Tuesday.

P.S. My downfall seems to be dinner and I'd love to hear some of your 15-20 PP dinner ideas that actually don't include a salad (my IBS doesnt get along well with salads). Thanks!
 
I know you can do it Stacy. You can do anything if you put your mind to it.

Hello everyone else.

Today's workout was CLX Burn Circuit 1, Turbo Fire HiiT 15, and one of the STS abs.

I will report back later when I get weighed in tonight. I think I gain weight again. I know its muscle because I've been really good with my food all week.

Today's work out was CTX Triceps + the June 30th BR work out. No extras. Had time but didn't want to push it b/c I have a cold now. :( Fantastic work out though and some raging DOMS in my u/b from y'day's work out to boot! :D

Stacy:: With an attitude like that you simply can not fail! Go Stacy Go! Do your best and forget the rest! Sorry but I love Tony Horton (hubba hubba!;)) and what he says is true!!!! :) As for dinners...I keep my evening eats/drinks to about 13 points and this includes dinner, dessert and wine. I need to eat more pts during the day or I'll starve so unfortunately I can't really help you here.

Barb:: Good luck on your weigh in and great attitude! You are doing so well! You will win the war!!!! :)

Good morning All!!

Good luck Stacy!! My dinner Sat was 4oz pork steak cooked on the george foreman grill, onions & bell pepper pan fried with non stick spray with a tsp of olive oil added & broccoli w/ff cheese. My dessert was bananas, cool whip with 4 crushed Nilla wafers. It tastes like banana pudding. It's less than 20 points though.

My workout yesterday was STS upper body premix & Plyo Legs disc 26. I wasn't that hungry last night so I had air popped popcorn for dinner.

Stacy, good luck with your planning. What sorts of things do you eat? Are cooked veggies hard for you to handle? I am going to have to plan better starting next week, which may be a good thing since I haven't been doing so hot anyway as far as staying in points.

Steph, how is your tracking going?

Wiggie, Barb and Wendy, sound like you all are doing great.

Today I did 4DS HIS and core, chest and back. I nearly have the 3rd combo, I just have to create my own cues for that part. Between re doing that combo and not having my wts just right, it felt like sort of a so so work out.

The battery died on my food scale so I wasnt able to measure eveything, but I had 15 Points before dinner.

B--string cheese, almonds
L--yogurt, raw veggies
Unplanned S (was starving!)--Cheezits from vending machine
D--grilled pork chop, sauteed onions, carrots and green beans. The pork chop was fairly large and I'm feeling quite stuffed!

Weight today was 131.0

Eventual goal would be 120, that seems SO far away...
 
Goodmorning all!

Workouts are going great..I am on week 2 of sts (6x a week)

Today I am off to Columbus to see my sons neurologists so I woke up early to do a TF HIIT 30 (patting myself on the back) I have an airplane day today and tomorrow so I won't be able to work out tomorrow.

Food wise...well...I have been pretty good but have been having a little piece of fudge everynight :eek: since i am pmsing but besides that i have been pretty good:D

Stacy: you seem to have a love affair with scales:;) First that darned one that keeps on giving you the messed up weight and now your food scale lol. Keep up the good work. I think i will join you in the 120 goal...shall we try for xmas...with a mid term goal of 125 by mid-october... or maybe we should aim for 125 for xmas with the 120 for april (maybe more realistic for us two:p)

I weighed in today again, wanted to see the "water weight" go away and was down to 129.4 lb. Of course I'm still sticking with my plan to count my PP's more diligently to reach my goal!

Steph, small world, my friend's son sees a neurologist in Columbus too. (Dr. Mendell).

My body is craving some strength training. I have a packed schedule with work and packing for my trip. We leave on the red-eye flight Saturday morning. Realistically I only foresee me working out two days this week....today and Thursday. I'm either going to do circuits both days or maybe the Timesaver premixes from GS upper body, one today, one on Thurs followed by a short cardio and abs each day.

I just got back from shopping and have dinner planned. Wearing having baked stuffed tomatoes. Hubby is going to stuff his with ground beef, and I'm going to use tuna fish, with celery, carrots, and whatever else is PP friendly, and I have 1 PP WW cheese to top it off with!

I'll check back later with my workouts!

I think after vacation I may either do STS Meso 3 or start my RKS Kettlebell workouts!
 
Good morning everyone. I weighed in yesterday and was up .6. It's weird because I weighed myself on my scale and it says that I lost a pound go figure. I wanted to mention that the leader that was there said that muscle and fat weigh the same. I thought that muscle weighs more then fat but take of little room. Can someone please explain this to me because I think the leader doesn't know what he is talking about.

Wendy I hope you are feeling better today, especially that your going to Walt Disney soon.

Stacy: We were seeing Dr. Mendell as well but since he seems to be scaling down and heading for retirement we have started seeing his hand picked predesesor (or so we were told by the nurse) Dr. Flannigan. I love dr. Mendell. For someone who is so knowledgable and semi famous (in the dmd circles) he was sooo nice and kind! I expected a meanie but was super surprised the 3 times we saw him! Last year when we went to the clinic we were supposed to see him but he was out of town and since we have to fly we were unable to rebook so we saw Dr.Flannigan! super nice guy! It seems they have really nice, personable specialists in Ohio!

So glad that your scale is back on track!
 
Barbara....a pound of fat is going to weight the same as a pound of muscle, however the pound of muscle is going to take up less space/occupy less volume b/c it is more dense. If your leader says muscle turns into fat then ask him how that is possible ;) (that's like saying an apple can turn into an orange!)
 
I have chicken breast w/ sweet sour sauce packet in crock pot, and some pineapple, hoping it turns out OK. I can always ditch the sauce if icky.

I made garlic, onion, green bean and (canned) tomato thing for lunch, would have been good w/ brown rice, but I didn't have any prepped.

Workouts so far, 3rd combo to end of HIS and 3rd combo to end of LIS (thank you Cathe for DVD chapters) and 4DS calves and shoulders, prob HIIT style jog later.

Good luck to all on staying on track w/ all the traveling going on.

Oh, and I agree that muscle doesn't become fat or vice versa, and a pound of feathers weighs as much as a pound of bricks, but there may be a case for a square inch of muscle tissue weighs more than a square inch of adipose tissue/fat, (IDK) so maybe that is where some of the confusion is coming from? ::shrug::
 
I did KCM's 30 Min to Fitness Weights, did both workouts back to back. It was good b/c it also had standing ab work dispersed btwn sets. I feel worked out but not totally exhausted.

I've counted my WW points for what I have planned for the day. If I stick to everything as planned, I'll end up with 30 PP for the day, so I'll be happy with that!

This morning's work out was Meaner Legs w/the ab work included. AYE CARRUMBA that leg w/o gets me every darn time!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

My biceps and shoulders are on fiyah! 3 ibuprofen have not touched them!:eek::eek::eek:

Stacy:: I have many KCM work outs including the one you did today and love them all. Only thing I can't get into is her step. I just don't like it. Blech.

Barb:: A pound is a measure of weight so weather it's feathers, rocks, fat, muscle or potato chips that make up that pound, it's still a pound. The key is WHAT that pound is comprised of. HTH! :)

Steph:: How do you have the energy (and time!) to do STS 6x per week!?!? :eek:

Jody:: Your crock pot dinner sounds yummy. Let us know how it turns out. The bbq pulled pork I made in the crock pot over the weekend was to die for! :)

Good morning everyone. Today's workout was CLX Burn Circuit 2. I went up a little on the weights so I guess that means I am getting stronger. Yesterday eats was right on target of 29 DP. I am going to try and do this all till Saturday then go a little over on the weekend. I am always going over my daily by 3 to 5 points a day.

Allee what workout did you order? Glad your back we miss you!!!

Good Morning.

I am full of DOMS today between the lingering shoulder DOMS I've had for days and now the DOMS in my lower body from Meaner Legs!:eek::eek::eek:

Today's work out was DM cardio drills only 1-5 + 10 mins of jump rope. Good sweaty mess of a work out! ;)

Allee:: Hello girl! Good to hear from you! What DVDs did you order???

Barb:: Good job sticking to your 29 DP's and yay for upping your weights in your work outs!!!!

Wiggie:: Breaking even is better then a gain!!!! It happens to everyone once in a while! Shake it off!!!! You are doing great! :)
