wrinkles when losing weight-do they go away???

This may not apply to you young'uns, whose skin is more elastic, but as a fast approaching 60 year old, who is losing weight slowly but steadily, I see the muscles I am building from my lifting, but I also am beginning to see wrinkles and puckers in my underarms where I am losing weight. Am I doomed to have flabby, wrinkled skin, or will the weight lifting eventually tighten those areas up? Is there any hope? I have my heart set on being toned and tight, and I've promised myself a tattoo on my shoulder when I reach my goal (my friends think I'm crazy). Flab and tattoos do not go together!

I am not a young'un (55), and sorry, I don't think you are going to tighten up skin with exercise. As you age, your skin loses its elasticity and doesn't shrink as easily as it did when you are young and lose weight. If you are grossly overweight and lose it, I think the stretched out skin can be removed by a surgeon, and I have heard that it can be used in skin grafting for burn victims, for example. If you remember the first Survivor winner--Richard--he had his excess skin removed after losing I think something like 150 pounds--not just on the show, but from a diet started before he got on the show.
