I have been doing P90x shldrs and arms the past two weeks and man does it work my arms. My arms are fried when I am done with this workout. I increased my wts today and I was struggling at the end of the bonus round . My arms after doing this workout for a few weeks should be of steel! great workout!! I am eager to try P90x + upper body workout also!

Great job, Laura!! I did Shoulders & Arms on Wednesday and my triceps are STILL sore today! Ouch! Work those glamour muscles, girl! ;-)

Glad you are enjoying the fruits of your labor Laura. The X work outs really are worth the effort as they produce some amazing results! Keep it up!:)

I am surprised that I havent been sore from the workouts and I am lifting heavy but yes my arms are fried after doing them so I know that I am getting an awesome workout. I think I will do this one a few more times then maybe do PUB for a few weeks. I really want to get that cut and lean look especially my delts. do you two think this will do the trick? thanks!

Laura,

I was never really CUT until I did the X so I definately think Tony's work outs will help you get the look you are after. I am not down-playing Cathe's work outs in any way as goodness knows that woman has done A LOT for me over the years but for whatever reason the X did things for my body that Cathe's stuff never has. I don't know why exactly but it did.

The one thing that comes to mind is that I was very vigilant about my eating when I was doing the X. I know that had something to do with it as diet is very important if you want to be lean and cut. I am not saying that Cathe's stuff COULDN'T produce the same results but that it just hasn't so far.

Slow and Heavy and the 4DS series are 2 heavy lifting series of Cathe's that I own that I've only touched on for a couple of weeks each so far. Down the road I want to give them a fair shake with a really clean diet and see what they do for me.

I was just thinking as I was writing that perhaps the reason the X work outs produce the results for me that they do is because I don't do them but once in blue moon so they really mix things up for me. We all know how good change is for our muscles, right? I do Cathe's stuff much more consistently then the X. Perhaps if I focus on other programs for about 6 months, I will reap the same benefits from ANY Cathe rotation I chose to do after that. Food for thought at least!

Sorry for rambling. :p

it makes sense wendy. I dont really stick with anything long enough either. I did do the PUB for a few weeks last fall and I think it got me past that muscle plateau and finally the muscles started to pop. But I think it is the heavy lifting. I was doing mostly higher reps, lighter but challenging wts before. Now I go as heavy as I can. I hope your right and the shldrs and arms workout gives me that extra pop I need. It is so hard for me to develop cut muscles at least the shldr area. My tri's and forearms have always been muscular. same for the lower body, my quads have always been muscular but getting rid of that pocket of fat on the outside of my legs just doesnt want to budge. If I could just take the vaccum cleaner and suck it out then I would be great. anyway thanks for the tips. I am always looking for new ways of getting in shape.
