Okay All!

I did my first week 5 run of C5K and, man, oh man, do I feel good!! :D I can't believe I'm actually getting there! My DH came and met me on his bike and paced me at a 10 min mile pace! That was exciting because I thought I was running slower than that! Of course, the true test for this week will be on Saturday when I do the 20 min. run! It just felt so good to finally be at a place where my lungs don't hurt, my side doesn't hurt and I'm not huffing and puffing too badly!

I used my heart rate monitor (just got it Saturday) for the first time and the funny thing is that I probably didn't spend more than a minute within my aerobic zone! Ha, ha! I guess that will get better with time.

So, I'm done being proud of myself and am actually beginning to see the 5K at the end of the tunnel!

Tricia,

Congrats on your goals and accomplishments--that is awesome!! :D The rewards of setting goals, working HARD through the sweat and tears and finishing what you started are immeasurable. GREAT JOB!

Whoo Hoo!!! Awesome! I've always said about running, . . you have to work up to it and when you do that first mile is always the hardest, . . . but there is such a thing as a runners high, . . . I love the way I feel after a long run. You go girl!!! High five's to you. You rock!!
