Okay All!
I did my first week 5 run of C5K and, man, oh man, do I feel good!!
I can't believe I'm actually getting there! My DH came and met me on his bike and paced me at a 10 min mile pace! That was exciting because I thought I was running slower than that! Of course, the true test for this week will be on Saturday when I do the 20 min. run! It just felt so good to finally be at a place where my lungs don't hurt, my side doesn't hurt and I'm not huffing and puffing too badly!
I used my heart rate monitor (just got it Saturday) for the first time and the funny thing is that I probably didn't spend more than a minute within my aerobic zone! Ha, ha!
I guess that will get better with time.
So, I'm done being proud of myself and am actually beginning to see the 5K at the end of the tunnel!
