workouts/rotations for weight loss

I know it's often asked what workouts or rotations whip you into shape the fastest.

Do you really lose fat faster with one workout vs. another (with similar calorie burns?) If so, what workouts worked for you?
 
it depends alot on where your body already has muscle, what your body is used to.
i used to lose wt mostly doing cardio - bike & running. now my body is used to it. not effective. but adding resistance training is challenging my body again.
 
As long as I work out consistently and with intensity, the type of workouts I do matter less than the food I put in my mouth.
 
I agree that diet is the biggest factor but I do well when I combine moderate weight lifting (Gym Style) with 5 days of cardio. That really burns the fat off for me.
