Did P90X Legs&Back (without the back) and added S&H chest&back+abs.

totally O/T but I have to vent
Had an emergency yesterday evening: had a call that a close friend of mine was attacked by her boyfriend with a knife in front of their son on Monday. Well he tried to, but she managed to get away and lock herself in the bathroom. The 8yo thougth his dad was gonna kill his mom and that he was next. Had to go see how they were. Things have been going wrong since April. Had taken her to the police two months ago to make sure certain events were logged in the computer system so if things really turned bad, police would respond immediately. I feel so helpless! And very guilty cause she tried to call me Monday but I had turned the phone off. My cell phone was on, but in her panick she forgot. She and her son are both OK (physically anyway) and her mum is staying with her, but the police has let her boyfriend go cause there were no witnesses and no visible bruises or other wounds. So now she's terrified he'll come back. He's been sending her threatening messages (which apparently are not considered evidence in our legal system) and phoning all the time. She refuses to leave the house so not to upset her son even more. I'm so worried but don't know what to do. She is already talking to a lawyer, a victim's aid organisation, her doctor, a real estate agent to put their house on the market, etc.

Wow....Dutchie, that is awful about your friend. I have never had a close friend in that situation but I can understand how you feel. The worst thing is her little boy having to witness all this. Do they have restraining orders there? Although that does not always solve things. I think your friend is in contact with the right people. I hope they can help her get far away from him....

As far as my workout today I have KenpoX on my rotation but I picked up a Taebo video yesterday and since I have always wanted to try that, I will instead. I'll do some shoulder and back exercises too and maybe some abs. I was so happy the other day as I think P90X has strengthened my core because when I did the stability ball ab work in PUB, I could finally do ALL the pikes!!! Enjoy the workouts ladies...and I hope your pinky heals up quickly Wendy...:)...Carole
 
Dutchie, I am so sorry to hear about her situation - I can't even imagine. But please don't beat yourself up for not having your phone on - hind sight is 20/20. Besides, you had no idea she would forget about your cell phone. Anyway, I will definitely be thinking about her and keep us posted. And take care of yourself - I'm sure your stress level is pretty high.

Carole, Way to go on the pikes-I have trouble doing one!

Well, today was KPC for the first time. I must not have been putting 100% into it because my heart rate didn't get close to where it is when I do a Cathe step tape.

Dutchie, that is indeed a horrible story, I feel very bad for your friend.

I did 30 min on the Nordictrack then P90X/Core. Now I'm off to the beach with the kids, enjoy the day, ladies!

Dutchie, I am soo sorry to hear about your friend and worse yet that the police couldn't hold him, was the son not a witness? Or is he considered too young to be one? I hope it all gets straightened out.


I did PLB and abs from MIS today. My weight doesn't want to stay at goal so I am not sure what is going on with it. I really wanted to lose more before the beach and Las Vegas, but I am beginning to think that will not happen.:( My clothes all still fit so that is good and my measurements really aren't changing drastically so maybe it is just muscle from trying my new workouts. I may never know. sigh.
