Cathlete
Ok, as you all probably have read in many posts, i'm looking for a new rotation. I have weight trained for years and built lots of muscle. I have a very similar look to cathe. Now, while I think cathe is beautiful, I don't like the muscle I have obtained or that particular look for me. That being said, i'm looking to decrease some of my muscle and become a bit smaller. So I wanted to know what would be good for that. Would a 20 min weight training session be good after 45 min of cardio? I have 2 things I'm thinking of doing but need help deciding.
option 1
monday: 45 min run; 20 min total body weights
tuesday: turbojam; abs
wednesday: 45 min ellipical; 20 min total body weights
thursday: turbojam;abs
friday: 45 min run; 20 min total body weights
sat and sun: off

option 2
monday: 45 min run; 15 min chest and tri
tuesday: turbo jam; abs
wednesday: butts and guts and shoulders
thrusday: turbo jam
friday: 45 min ellipical; 15 min back and bis

Some of the turbo jams will be replaced with KPC or KM for a change. if i choose to do the total body weight training, i will do all compound movements such as squats, lunge, step ups, push ups, pull ups and then some bis and tris thrown in. For all of the weight training i will do 3 sets of 15 reps. So which do you think will help me reach what i'm trying to acheive? sorry so long.

Hi Kariev,

I can't help with your questions about changing your routine, but I was wondering if you'd share a bit about how you got to be so muscular and defined. Did you do it all using just Cathe's workouts? Which strength-training ones have given you the most definition?

Sorry to interrupt your question, but I'm envious of your muscle and would love to hear more about how you got your results, if, of course, you wouldn't mind sharing!:)

i lifted on my own for years. i would do an upper or lower split. however when i started cathe a couple years ago i really noticed some added size in muscle. i did slow and heavy and gym style always pushing myself as hard as i can. its not that i think muscle looks bad but for me i would just like to take it back down a notch ans would love some opinions on how to do for. i also ate really clean with quite a bit of protein. to gain muscle you MUST lift heavy and have proper nutrition. i think a lot of my muscle building is genetics though. my heritage has some norweigen in it and my family tends to have broad shoulders so it wasn't too hard to put on the muscle with that foundation in place. good luck with your goals. if you have any more questions you can jump back here and ask.
