Workout Suggestion???

Hi Cathe and all,
I took a really bad fall skiing Monday. No major injuries, just alot of bruising and sore body parts, especially my neck, right arm (hurts to straighten) and right shoulder. BTW, thank goodenss I was wearing a helmet or the ski patrol would have been working very hard! Anyway, I have not worked out since, just a little afraid. Any suggestions? I can't stand not doing anything.
 
Hi Susan! I'm so sorry to hear of your fall. Thank goodness it wasn't more serious.
Gosh, just to be safe, I would go to the doc and make sure that you didn't strain or sprain anything (especially your neck and shoulder).

At the very least, I would rest until this soreness calms down and the bruising is in the greenish yellow recovery stage. It is very obvious that you have already stressed/stretched your muscles in a way that is not typical for them. Your soreness is their way of communicating to you that they need to rest.

Just as your wore your helmet to help prevent serious injury, I would rest now also as to prevent more serious injury.

Thank you Cathe! I always feel a little guilty and restless without a workout. Things are slowly getting better, but the bruises are pretty ugly. Glad I can cover everything up with winter clothes.
