Workout shoe recommendations?

Hi Cathletes,

Does anybody have a really good workout shoe that they love? I've been using Avia because my orthotics fit in them, however, I've sprained one ankle & twisted the other while doing step. I'm thinking maybe high-tops? I really just need a good shoe with excellent stability.

Pam,
I have yet to find the perfect workout shoe. I'm afraid to order on line b/c my exact shoe size depends on the brand, type of shoe, etc. Luckily, right now, I'm doing a lot of barre type workouts so I can workout barefooted which I LOVE doing! But, when Cathe's Shock Cardio gets here I'll have to break in my shoes again. I'm still incorporating short bouts of cardio into my routine and it pains me to have to put on my workout shoes!
