Hi ladies! I had kind-of a rough week. My son and I both had a doozie of a cold and my parents visited. I didn't get to work out as much as I would have liked but we are both feeling alot better now and my parents are gone. Hopefully everything will get back to normal this week. ;-)

Sun: Off
Mon: Pyramid Bonus workout - total body
Tues: Cardio&Wts.-cardio and abs
Wed: CTX-All step
Th: CTX-upper body without shoulders (did them the day before)
Fri: off (too sick :-( )
Sat: off (still sick)

Have a great week everyone! :D

Hi Ladies, I've got to go down and check my workout log so I might revise this a tad....it was a menagerie of stuff this week.

Monday - Upperbody CTX
Tuesday - Terrible night prior couldn't sleep at all!! rested
Wednesday - PLB and Tae Bo
Thursday - Cardio Kicks
Friday - Tae Bo and then heavy lift chest day ala aquajock
Saturday - Tae Bo again and heavy lift shoulders, biceps, triceps, and back ala aquajock.
Sunday - rest

Pulled out the old tae bo tapes and they were kind of fun, just needed something different for a change as a warm up for lifting. I've got to get a heavy leg lift day in, we'll try this week!! I love the sore glutes and hams after PLB, makes me feel like I did something!! Have a great week ladies.

You all rock!!! I am back into the swing of things as far as a workout goes. I miss this forum, I really do, you are all so nice here. Boy, I sure was sore though when I first started out again, I'm sure that some of you read my post in Ask Cathe, subject "Ouch!". It feels wonderful to be able to get through an hour and not feel like I'm going to just fall over. But I'm sure that in a few months I will be back here complaining again. I guess I'm saying that "I'll be back!".

Monday: first half of IMAX2 and Power Hour
Tuesday: MIC Hi Low only (couldn't raise my arms very well!)
Wed: MIS Lower body (Ouch!)
Thursday: 2nd Half of IMAX2 and MIS Upper body
Friday: Tae Bo Get Ripped Advanced

I have decided to get back into Tae bo for the time being since I order the Kick Punch and crunch, along with all the other new wokrouts coming out!
Take Care!

Kathy

Ooh... you guys are getting me excited about doing Tae Bo again. I sold all mine on eBay when I found Cathe. I may have to pick up a DVD for something different.

Kathy - are you referring to new Tae Bo tapes or Cathe tapes? I would love to see some new Tae Bo tapes too!

Looks like you all are doing fabulous! Way to go girls!

Today I did the Gauntlet and made it thru all but the last section! Yeah! The only thing I skipped was the terminator climbers and the one legged jumps...just modified. Anyway, I was proud of myself b/c I hadn't done Gauntlet since I got preggo! Felt good!

Have a happy weekend!

I put my Tae Bo videos away my 1st trimester when I was so exhausted. I am not sure if I'd be able to do them at this point. I've been taking my intesity level down. My belly's getting bigger, my cardiac output is getting less & my legs are KILLING ME! Is anyone else having this trouble? I bought some TEDS compression hose at work, but my legs (especially my calves) hurt after 3 hours of standing at work. I'll take suggestions, if you have them...)

Hey Melanie, my legs don't hurt, but they seem to weigh like 200 lbs, is this what your referring to or are you having actual PAIN. We have child gates in several places around the house and lifting my legs over seems to be as tough as the tae bo workout itself (yes I exagerate a tad, but it's TOUGH nonetheless).

I will say that shoes make a big difference. When I can wear my trust shabby old air nikes I do fine, but I got some clogs the other day that had a wood base and my right calf hurt SOOOOO bad by the end of the day, like my muscle was in a ball. I will never wear them again until post pregnancy. I bought burkenstocks for baby number 2 because of my aching legs and they seemed to help - worth the money!! Sounds like you are standing a lot or at least up a lot on your job which may really get tiring.....try to get some sitting breaks if possible - just a thought. I think I will live in my nike air's until post pregnancy as this does help. Don't know if this helped at all, but I do hope it passes!!

Briee, my legs are sore and PAINFUL. I just bought some new shoes.
They are Eastlands real comfy shoes. My back is sore too, but it's my legs that hurt so much that I even got grumpy yesterday at work about them. It hurt to walk! I've noticed that my ankles are swollen too. There's indentions where my socks are. My fingers aren't swollen. I don't remember having swollen ankles with my 1st one. However, as a retail pharmacist, I don't have time to sit or for breaks.(

I'm so sorry Melanie....I will be in sincere prayer for you. Hopefully the shoes will be helpful, but I wish there were a way for you to get to sit sometimes. Maybe even a stool so you can take short "sit downs"??? I had a day when I was canning all day and I was exhausted and then I thought of you having to be up and around at work all day, you have major hugs and prayers coming your way!! You are doing incredibly well for all that you do!!!!

Briee

Thanks for your support Briee. I am thinking about purchasing a stool. There's not much room back here, so it'll be a sacrifice for all pharmacy personnel. ;) Actually, I feel much better after my prayers yesterday. I don't like to complain about it, it's a small price to pay to have a wonderfully perfectly made boy. :) I'm getting excited... 28 weeks is 3rd trimester, right? I"m at 25 1/2 weeks and counting down. You, my friend, must be at that stage where your beginning to get inpatient and beginning to tired of pregnancy, no?

Melanie...I have to say that I think I'm enjoying the third trimester more than the other two, obviously more than the first!!! I've always heard the the second is the best, but for me I feel like when I enter the third I know that I'm in the home stretch and for some reason I feel better. Also the second is just kind of a "I'm getting fat stage, and I'm tired and why should my workouts be so tough cause I'm not that big yet and will it be downhill from here?" does that make sense. I'm actually having better workouts maybe because psychologically I feel like "wow, I'm this big and I can still workout, isn't this cool". I have stopped getting on the scale as this just makes me crazy (I used to be fanatical about this-every morning step on that stool - YUCK). And, for some reason I'm not as tired as I was even in the second tri. So I'm very thankful and on Wednesday I will have completed 31 weeks - yippee. I'm sure as I get to the last month I will get sick of it, but the exercise sure helps!! Last pregnancy I took Lotus class (martial arts form) right up until a week before I delivered and felt so good, hopefully this time will be the same!!

Get that stool and sit a while kiddo, they might have a little less room, but you NEED IT!!
