Workout log for week of December 14th

Cathlete
Hey ladies. It seems like this check-in is dwindling, please feel free to join in!
Uneventful week. My 35 week check-up showed that I gained 3 pounds this last month. I feel real good about that.
Baby continues to grow & kick my ribs--ouch. He also gets the hiccups an awful lot.
This week went pretty well. I did Timesavers again. They were lots more fun the 2nd time around. I was able to follow all the choreography with little/no modifiations. Yeah!

Sun:eek:ff
Mon:eek:ff
Tues: TS#4
WEd: TS#1
Thurs: TS#2
Fri: TS #3
Sat: off

Next week i will try to dive into some other BB DVD's. Will probably go with the shorter pre-mixes as I don't feel I have the stamina to go a full 60 minutes right now.

Melanie, the premixes are GREAT. I hope more people join in here too!! I keep wondering what happened to hdh and if she has her baby yet - probably...I'm the only one who is eternally pregnant. Me and the elephants - whom I'm beginning to resemble.

Monday - Timesaver #4 and some heavy shoulder work added in.
Tuesday - I think Timesaver #1
Wednesday - I get the day off on my due date right???
Thursday - Too many men in the house to workout!!!
Friday - PLB and stability ball work, this felt great, did extra slow plies with a heavy bar hoping the baby would squish out.
Saturday - BB Supersets, upperbody only

I LOVE the supersets premixes. I LOVE the tricep push ups off the ball (like a teeter tooter). For some reason these felt really good as the ball hits the bottom of my tummy without interference and they were lots easier for me than regular tricep push ups since my belly hits the ground on regular triceps push ups. You gotta try these Melanie - it's a short upperbody workout (can't remember, but like 34 or 38 minutes). The bicep curls on the ball will burn your biceps!!!!

Briee

Sara...did you try Legs and Glutes yet? How is it for a prego?...I still like PLB.

Briee, the bicep curls on the ball haven't left me sore. Do you use heaver weights than usual for that bicep set? Just curious. Which superset premix are you recommending to me? Is there just one that's about 35 minutes long?
Everyday I check this forum I'm really surprised that you're STILL on it Briee!!! I think I'd be super dooper anxious by now. Are you staying real positive? Do you have everything ready?

I used a 25 pound bar, but I have to say that I am not sore today. While I was doing them my biceps were VERY fatigued and I was feeling a nice burn....I love that feeling. I don't get sore the next day unless I am doing slow and heavy and for that I use 20#db in each hand and go as slow as possible and hold half way for a count of 10 on the last rep. I still like the Supersets for an overall endurance workout, but there is nothing like slow and heavy work. Cathe does have some slow reps mixed in a little bit. I did the last option on the premix which was a short upperbody workout in the 30 minute range. When I'm not pregnant - I want to go to the longer version.

As for the birth, I don't know if I have everything ready - I've had to turn it over to the Lord and quit thinking about it. I was really depressed that one night, but since then I've been staying pretty positive, as positive as an elephant can be. The most irritating part is all these contractions that seem to go nowhere. I keep telling myself....no one has been pregnant forever. (of course there is a first for everything :p :p :p ). There is one last crew of men coming in the morning to finish up the hole in the hallway upstairs and hopefully will not be here all day. Then I can clean the house and have the baby. That's my plan.....we'll see if it works!! I'm sure the Lord has some reason for this baby baking a little longer. :7 :7 :7

Briee

Hi girls! I'm glad to see that you are in such good spirits, Briee!! With my son, I was a week late, and it can get frustrating when everyone keeps commenting, "You are STILL pregnant!?!" Like you really need to hear that!!! Anyway, I am sure that God just knows that your little peanut isn't ready yet!!
Well, I noticed about Thursday this last week that I really got short of breath a lot easier! I don't remember it just happening in one day last time, but it probably did. Here was my last week's workouts:
Sun: off
Mon: Push/Pull
Tues: SJP-step pre-mix
Wed: Supersets
Th: YogaMama
Fri: TS #1
Sat: TS #2
I haven't tried Legs and Glutes yet but I would like to. Maybe this coming week I will do a premix for upper body, like you girls mentioned, and then do L&G. I'll keep you posted! Briee, hang in there, like you said, "You can't be pregnant forever!!!!!!" Melanie, how exciting that you are 35 weeks! You are so close!!!!!!! Have a great week girls!

Merry Christmas to all!

Melanie I just realized today (Dec. 25) that you have only one month to go! Can't wait!

take care,
Maggie
