Workout Blender Opinion.

Cathe,

This is constructive criticism for your next set of DVD's.

I am a little disappointed in the Workout Blender. I think it would be better if you could utilize it between the two workouts on the DVD not just for one workout. This way I could of made different circuit workouts (referring to KPC & LG). I love circuits.

Other than that they are fabulous. Great job as usual.

DVD standards only allow for 6 variables. If you were to do this you could only have 3 selections from each workout. This would not be enough to allow you to do what you're asking for.

I think I have to disagree... the Workout Blender should be programmable for both workouts on the DVD. Let the user select which sections he/she wants to program -- it could it 1 from 1st workout, and 5 from others (i.e may be I don't like the warm up on one, or I just want to add 1 leg circuit, etc). I think with this option, the user will have more choice on mixing and blending the workouts; therefore making the DVD more versatile. JMO.

RE: Workout Blender - maybe in The Future

Technically this can be done, but the problem is ,will it work on a dual layered disc and how will performance be affected ? Unfortunately, nobody knows. We know for sure that what you’re asking for will work on a single layered disc and in theory it should work on a dual layered disc, but it was too financially risky to try this time around. The problem with dual layered disc is there is no way to test what happens until they’re made. If we would have attempted what you’re suggesting and if there was a problem, we would have been delayed by at least another month and maybe more.
In DVD authoring the old saying “crawl before you walk , before you run” is the creed we try to follow. I’m sure the next time around we will try to do more with blender, but we want see how it works on various players and platforms first and do some more research and testing before doing what you ask. In the meantime hopefully the premixes will let you do what you’re asking for.

Thanks SNM for responding.

I appreciate you explaining why you didn't go that route with the DVD's. Sometimes I don't realize how much work has to go into something before it's a quality product. Thanks for listening to my opinion. I will be looking forward to how you will utilize the workout blender in the future.

Again thanks for the great workouts.

RE: Workout Blender - maybe in The Future

Thanks SNM. The second explanation satisfy me better than the first (there's no way to know how the blender works with dual layer DVDs... too risky at this point). Anyway, I've been enjoying the DVDs I have right now. Good work!

RE: Workout Blender - maybe in The Future

Good question, and thanks SNM for explaining the answer. I was wondering why no blendr on Timesaver which included ALL sections of Timesaver. Now I know why.
Thanks again SNM/Cathe for all the hard work. The product is excellent.
