Working out in Apt

Hello everyone,

I need some advice. I just relocated due to a job and now I am in an apt on the 3rd floor. I got a gym membership about 2months ago but right now I am traveling so much etc.. I feel like I am wasting money.

Considering that I am on the 3rd floor of an apartment, can anyone recommend some good workouts that I could possibly do and do not require a lot of equipment but are effective?

Thanks ladies...

Hi Dee,

I would remommend Cathe's KPC (leave out the jumps), Basic step+ body fusion ( you need a stability ball, light hand weights and tubings) and Kick Max.Also Low Impact step and total body sculpting (you need a tubing). Hope this helps!

when i move in an apartment i always make sure i'm on the first floor(those there's ants) or above a garage which i am. i can make as much noise as i want and have no ants!

Dee,

I live in a top floor condo (I bought the condo before I got serious about my workouts again) and I purchased some real thick matting. My neighbor below swears she doesn't hear me. And I always ask her.

For step and cardio, I make sure I lay down the matting it's about 3/4 inch thick. I don't always lay it when doing weights, and sometimes I don't with Kickboxing.

The girl downstairs says it like this, you expect your neighbors to make noise...especially when your under someone. Imagine living in NYC...that's all apartments.

Buy the mats. They're really GREAT on the joints. I got mine at Models. I noticed the other day they are about 15 bucks cheaper than when I bought them over 2 years ago.

Thanks Belinda.. I have that equipment so I can work some of the kickboxing videos in. I wanted to tivo some of Cathe's to do those as well

Thanks Celeste. Where did you get the mats from? I have not heard of Models? Are they similar to the mats you would find on the floor at a daycare. I try to be very mindful of making noise etc.. but I need to get my workout on and the $$ for the gym membership is not going so well ....
