Working around a houseguest

Today was the day I intended to start my new rotation, including Cathe's PS Upper Body, a total body tape (one of the FIRMs and/or Christi's S, B, F), and a variety of cardio. But at 4:15 this morning, I just couldn't see waking up the houseguest with my thump-thump-thumping. (Hubby is used to it!) So I caught some extra zzzzz's.

Actually, it felt good to be able to make that decision. I can be a just teensy bit compulsive about my routine--as though, if I skipped a day, I'd fall out of the habit for good. Sound familiar to anyone else?

I am looking forward to returning to barbell work. That always gives me a good Amazon feeling. I'm also going to add one mid-day run per week. Changing routines always gives my motivation a boost. Just one of many good learnings from my VF friends. Everybody have a great day.

Sorry about your houseguest, hope it's not for too long! It's probably a good thing to have a forced rest once in a while.
Funny, you're excited about getting back to heavy weight work, I just decide to try the Stott Mat Conditioning tapes for a while. I'm going to do a little experiment on my "apple" figure!

is good! I'm with you~~Barbell work just plain makes you feel GOOD!! I started out with my bodybar (15 pounds) when I 1st. received MIS and I could not get to the store fast enuf to get a barbell when I saw Cathe & the crew all using barbells. What a satisfaction it is to complete that tape. Glad you could catch some extra ZZZZZ's this A.M. and YOU have a great day yourself!
