Work Situation, What Do You Make Of It?

Please let me know your take on the following situation I had at work.

First of all, I dont like my boss and since I dont like him, he doesnt like me. But we put that aside because he needs me too much and I need my job.

About spring time I interviewed with a competitor. They approached me. They checked my references and had me go in for my drug test. I knew I had the job and wanted it badly so I could leave my awful boss. Then, all of a sudden, everything stopped. I never heard from them again. When I asked their HR Department about it, they said the job had been put "on hold". So I forgot about it and continued looking.

Last Monday my boss announced he was going to work for the same competitor I had interviewed with and it was working with the same exact people. He said they approached him and it was during the spring time when he first started talking to them.

What do you think happended here? It sounds awfully fishy to me.

This one's so fishy it's got gills and scales.

I think you've been played for a sucker, and I also think there's nothing you can do about it except cherish the fact that you won't have to associate with an awful boss any more. Plus, his vacating his position may leave a good opening for you.

I agree!!! Do you really want to work for people who would play you for a sucker like that anyway? And, now the awful boss will be gone! YIPPEE!! Apply for HIS job! You go, girl!!!

Thanks for your comments guys. I was wondering why I never heard back concerning the potential job and I guess it was because my boss was saying bad things about me.

I am glad I never started working there because if I had of, I would be reunited with my boss again and that would have put me right back into the same situation.

Things happen for a reason.

Madonna
