Word on DAD/Pain in Butt Brother

Cathlete
good evening all

dad came home from the hopstial for a few days. he had the "brain drain" as he calls it, for his brain clot. they found melnoma on his shoulder but they think this is a "caught it early" case and nothing is concerning them there. they are doing another biospy on friday. they fear the lump on his neck is not thyriod but in fact lymphoma. scary yes, but he seems too be doing fine.

the only thing upsetting him, and everybody in this family, is my brother. my parents don't make alot of money and my brother lives with them. since they ALL moved down back in June my brother has been out twice to look for a job. here we are getting ready to go into the new year and he just sits on his arse watching movies all day, while my mother is worried something is going to happen to dad and she is also wondering how she is going to catch up the bills.

how is my dad suppose to relax while he is feeling guilty about things not getting paid? i offered to take her to social services and get temporary relief(she gets another form of assitance so she already has a case worker) until we hear more on dad's condition. anyway ranting and raving here when i should be thankful dad could come home. just aggrivating how i sit there and cry b/c i worry about mom and my brother has like no feeling of the situation. his lazy arse better get a job soon.

i just though of his xmas presents,a stack of job applications half filled out. all he needs to do is write in social security number and past job history.

thank you for letting me get THAT off my chest.

Kassia, I'm glad that your dad is doing ok for now. I"ll keep him and your mom in my prayers. As for your brother, one would think that during a time like this he would want to look for a job to help out the family. They are doing him a favor by letting him live there for free. Yep, I agree, a nice stack of applications with a big red bow around them. Think he'll get the hint?

he is mommy's only boy so she babied him WWAAAAYYYY to much. i think this is one of those times its just gotten out of hand. i can't keep a leash on DH about it anymore i think its time to let the dogs out. i tried to do it without starting a war but i am either the bad guy or i just prett much get laughed at.

i know dad will be out of work for at least a month recovery from the brain clot as for this lump we will wait and see and just hope for the best.

((((((HUGS KASSIA!!)))))

It seems like you've had a lot thrown at you lately. You definitely should let DH loose. You never know what might happen when you add a newer family member to the mix.

I'll be thinking about you and sending good vibes. I'm SO GLAD your dad could come home!!! That's awesome!!!

Take care, Kassia.

Mom and dad need to tell brother he has 30 days to move and be SERIOUS about it. However, you can't make them do that especially if mom will go on an extreme guilt trip. They created the situation, so they will have to fix it.
Just Do It! :)

Kassia.....

Sending hugs and prayers your way. Sounds like a familiar type of nightmare to me too, LOL. Be strong! I wish the best for your parents, especially with your dad.:)
